Damaged my item and doesn't even want to give me a full refund??? Way to stiff arm a customer.

I like these folks. They are kind and efficient under pressure; regardless of some of the customers who are impatient and unreasonable.

The workers at this actual location deserve a lot more credit for what they deal with on a daily basis.

It's the wise words of Matthew McConaughey, "Alright, Alright, Alright!" That's an apt description…read moreof this post office. It's alright. The pros: 1) They open a full hour earlier than the other (east side) Schaumburg post office. 2) Plenty of parking 3) Large lobby space where you can drop larger packages, buy stamps, access a PO box, etc. The cons: 1) Service is all over the place - I've had the friendliest experiences and "I don't give a sh*t" interactions. 2) The actual customer service area is small and narrow and there's often a line. I appreciate that USPS is trying to keep with the times - easier click to ship, convenient pick up, etc but there are still times that you have to pop over to the PO, and this one is fine.

This my first review of a....post office... but here we go:…read more Waiting in line is the worst; everyone agrees with this (I assume). At a grocery store or wherever else a line is formed, more clerks/cashiers will come to the aid and open a new station to get through the line. Such is not the case at this establishment. In fact, there was an individual at the register not making eye contact with us and certainly not eager to help, and another person who consistently stepped away from the desk, and not in a sense to help a customer, but after helping someone they would step away so the next person in line can feel like a chump that much longer. The final rock star was a drone (see my tip) who said no words, wore no expression, and simply extended her hand for things. I handed her my ticket, she walked away in silence, came back with my box and dropped it onto the counter (she didn't set or place it). After any potential glass in the box had been broken, without a sound she extended her hand again apparently for my ID, then scanned it with her eyes and noticed the names matched. She handed it back and slid over the box, and I handed her a misdirected piece of mail I received, and as I started to explain that they don't live there anymore, she interrupted and said "Ok, thank you" so I just walked away. Maybe she was just running out of batteries? I'll give iHer the benefit of the doubt, I just hope she plugged in when she got back to her domicile. I didn't give 1 star because without the USPS I wouldn't have a coffee grinder amongst other things. However without the USPS I also wouldn't have 750 coupons a week for new siding or gutters. I gave 2 because this could be an off day; probably not. But that extra star will act as good hope that somewhere out there, someday, a person like you or me, have received--or will receive--good service from an employee here. I apologize for the rant, I just dislike feeling like I'm inconveniencing someone when I need them to do their job. They know exactly what they sign up for when they submit the application. They had numerous opportunities to back out during the interviews/background checks/drug tests/other government procedures for employment. I guess in retrospect it's my fault. I decided to live in an apartment, requiring me to go to the post office to pick up anything larger than a magazine. So if I hadn't moved in, I wouldn't have had to go to the post office, and I wouldn't have met the robot woman, and this rant-review wouldn't exist. Yeah, that's on me.... TL;DR: Prepare yourself to wait in line and have everything you need readily available, but don't bring your personality because it wont compute.

Cant even give them one star. My regular carrier is the best, but when she is not there or in…read morevacation, its the worst service. Avoid this location at all costs…read more I brought in multiple packages containing electronics worth $1,500-$2,500, totaling around 57 lbs. The owner, James Hibbs, treated both me and my property with complete disrespect from the moment I walked in--no greeting, just commands and a hostile, condescending tone. While I was making multiple trips with heavy boxes, he stood there and watched without offering even basic help. When I placed two packages on the front desk scale, he snapped, pointed to another scale right in front of him, and said, "That's the wrong scale. I told you to put them on this one." Moments later, instead of placing them on the scale he had just insisted on, he took both packages--together weighing roughly 25-30 lbs--and dropped them from waist height onto the floor, stacked on top of each other. The impact caused a loud thump due to the weight. Not the scale--the floor. When I called him out, he falsely claimed he was handling them the same way I did and said he "didn't care." Another customer nearby witnessed this interaction and even commented that this kind of behavior at this location is "normal." At that point, I told him I no longer trusted him with my packages and that I would be taking my business elsewhere. After bringing some items back to my car, I returned to the store to retrieve the remaining packages. That's when I noticed that one of the boxes had been tampered with--the tape on the bottom had been cut open. I had personally double-taped all of my packages before arriving, and that damage was not present beforehand. Fortunately, I had been carrying the boxes horizontally--otherwise the contents could have fallen out. When I told him this should be on camera, he claimed there are no cameras in the store. I asked the nearby customer if they had witnessed the earlier interaction, and they confirmed they had. The entire situation was unacceptable and humiliating. I ended up going to another UPS location, where a manager told me they were not surprised and had heard numerous complaints about this store. This incident has been reported to the Mount Prospect Police Department. If you believe your items have been tampered with at this location, report it immediately. Between my experience and the consistent pattern of similar reviews, it's clear this isn't an isolated incident--it's how this place operates. If you value your property or basic respect, go somewhere else.
