I don't go to the nearby Willing Post Office. It's clean, and all the employees welcome me kindly and warmly. They say and do things to make me feel close to them like a neighbor. It's smaller than Willing, but it's more friendly and comfortable than any other post office. It's a strange post office that never stops. I've lived in Northbrook for 15 years. No post office has had this atmosphere. Every time I go to this post office, I feel happy. The staff here is amazing and kind, EXCEPT the Indian lady. She is extremely rude and unhelpful. When I see her there, I leave and go to a different post office or come at a different day. Not worth my peace of mind dealing with her. read more

I am furious. I paid $5 extra to hand sort my envelopes since I had this beautiful wax seal on them. Come to find my sender sends me a picture of her envelope clearly showing these were not hand sorted, while completely damaging my envelope and the beautiful flowers I put with them. I spent so much time, money and effort putting these envelopes together and when I went for a refund they wouldn't even bother giving it to me or any compensation or remorse for neglect on their part. I had a last minute package to mail (I use the Click and Ship so I only have to drop off at this location because of the scary lady!). She might not be there anymore. Today I decided to get a receipt and there was a very nice, hugely courteous and extremely efficient young man waiting on the customers. He was extremely patient and kind with the numbnuts ahead of me (one person below said it best: "blame the customers" for slow waits!). So I may try here again for any counter service needs instead of traipsing the extra gas miles to the main Mt. Prospect location. I realize that it is a difficult job dealing with the public but kindness and courtesy are never out of fashion. Thank you to all our good postal workers. read more

Much to my review of McDonalds, do we set up expectations of places prematurely? Like, if a DMV employee actually talks to me humanely, does that automatically warrant a good review because we're talking about the DMV? Does friendly workers at the United States Post Office (USPO) warrant 5-stars, while this is the norm anywhere else? I dunno, but since yeah, since we are talking about the USPO, and the person behind the counter was cheerful and nice, I'm going to give it 4-stars. Generally a great & quick p.o. with knowledgeable employees. Until they got one clerk - name is Keisha. She is rude, blunt, and uncaring. I you ask her to scan a package and give you a recept, she will say 'I don't have time.' She makes faces, screams What!! and No!! Totally unprofessional. She makes no attempt to be polite to most people. No eye contact. Her mask is often worn below her nose. The other workers at this location are polite, caring, and seem to be concerned about doing their jobs in a friendly and professional manner. Not HER. read more

The Prospect Heights Office is giving the Magic Kingdom a run for its money as the happiest place on earth. The staff is unfailingly cheerful and helpful. They also are unflappable. Long lines--you won't get any scowls from Postmaster Harry or any of his clerks. They recognize their customers in that friendly small-town sort of way and are always eager to assist with whatever postal service you might need--finding the perfect commemorative stamp for those special invitations, making sure you send your package the best way possible. Most importantly they make the time you spend at their post office, no matter how little or how long, easily one of the most pleasant parts of your day. read more

5/5 because the USPS employees here are so pleasant and happy to assist you. This store is clean, quiet and you can get in and out in less than 5 minutes (on a weekday mid-morning). I live in Des Plaines, but prefer to take my business here because the customer service experience is that good. read more

Going to this location is fortunately not a chore! All the employees are very nice and helpful. They offer suggestions where needed and are realistic about receipt. Smaller location but doesn't effect the functionality. The flat rate boxes are god send! read more

I work full time, meaning I generally don't get home before 6. I purchased stamps at the self-service kiosk Tuesday evening. My debit card was accepted, I got a receipt, but no stamps printed. Made a point to leave work early to arrive at the PH post office at 5:45 Weds. All 3 stations at the counter had the "closed" sign out. One woman was counting money. When she looked up and asked me "what?" I explained that I needed the stamps I paid for. She said "nothing I can do. Only my manager can do that and he's here from 8:30 to 3:00 only". I explained I worked full time but she only repeated the same sentence. The employees have changed at Prospect Heights and so has the service. Lesson to be learned: DO NOT USE THE SELF-SERVICE KIOSK. Or better yet. Go elsewhere. read more

I am definitely fortunate to have great service close by. The workers here are friendly and helpful, and they do their best to accommodate large lines. I usually see the same three employees at the register, but they are all very efficient and friendly. Glad I have a great PO nearby! read more

What a joke of a postal office. Never friendly, ok you don't have to be, but you have to get the stuff done correctly. Our mail carrier has been pushing our mail all the way through the mailbox so the back part opens. Which then all the mail falls out, does he/she pick it up, nope. They leave it on the grass. When I complained they continued to do it until I took pictures of it several times. Some it ruined by rain. Took it in filed a compliant. Today I had some boxes being delivered. I'm outside no attempt to even deliver the boxes, but yet postal carrier marks mailbox is full. The box being delivered is 3 feet long 2 feet tall, what jackass is going to try to fit that into a mailbox. No attempt, now I have to waste another hour of my time to file another compliant. For what nothing will happen to this postal carrier. Again this place used to be better than good now it's just a joke. read more

The employees at this little post office are wonderful and very helpful. They work like clockwork to get everyone served ASAP and mostly with a smile. They don't rush you yet are quick on their feet. It's also nice to see a stocked USPS location, here I have never ran into a problem of not finding the right size box. They also let you use their tape for free!! Wheee!! read more

The staff at the Prospect Heights location are very helpful and friendly. It's a nice clean office with plenty of waiting room and parking. They have one of those self-help machines so you can weigh your packages and buy the postage yourself. The only weird thing about this place is how to get out of the parking lot- you can't take a left out of it so you have to go all the way around. But the facility itself is much better than other ones I've been to. read more

This is my post office, only a few blocks from my house, so I used it today. The post master was behind the counter (rushed of course) but belittling employees based on the employees ethnicity. She called him by an incorrect name, then instead of apologizing she said "You're all the same" .................... no laughing, no smiling, you heard it in the tone of her voice too ..........THIS IS NOT GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
