I just drop them with the clerk and I am certain of two things: He/She will scan it and it will be on the noon truck to processing center. If a customer says my first class package must be here in Glendale, Arizona on Friday then I use this post office to ship it Monday morning out by noon truck to processing center it is at customer on Thursday afternoon. I am very grateful to the postmaster and the clerks that run this post office. They provide exemplary community service.

Either there no answer or the phone just rings until you get a busy signal. It's just a waste of time. Atleast UPS answers the phone and gives you the best phone service the can give. I spoke with a staff member who was Asian, I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was so helpful in answering my questions and explaining the process. I was impressed and appreciative. I went back today with my documents and a young lady named Shawnte assisted me. OMG, she was so pleasant and helpful, she patiently took care of my documents and gave clear instructions, at the same time assisted other customers just as efficiently and friendly as she did me. It is refreshing to receive this type of service AGAIN! I have gone to several USPS locations in Rockville, Bethesda, Kensington, College Park and now Beltsville. I have to say the service and tone of this Beltsville location is superior than the others. I say it's refreshing because in today's world the type of service we receive is horrible. It's absolutely horrible to call any business for assistance and receive appropriate service. We're lucky to get a person on the phone and one who can actually resolve the issue. The worst possible experience every time we have problems with our mail delivery. We live about a…read morequarter mile from this office and receive other people's mail at least three days a week and god knows how much of our mail has never been delivered for the same reason. When you complain, everyone shrugs and apologizes and says "it's a contracted route." They literally do zero to be helpful when we've had hundreds of dollars of merchandise delivered to the wrong house, delivered damaged, or not delivered at all. Whether it's a USPS employee or a contractor, someone has to be able to do something when our mail is so consistently mishandled but they don't even pretend to try.

I've heard complaints, but that's only when the people applying aren't doing what they're supposed to. Yes the post office takes your birth certificate, it's required don't be mad at them for that. They do not accept credit card as payment, but like I said it clearly states that on website, and reminder appointment email. The also take passport photos here, BUT go to Costco and save money! It's only $5 there vs $15 everywhere else! This post office was very clean and had plenty of parking, we did go at one on a Friday so maybe that's a good time to go! Once I get the passports and all my important documents back I will be a very happy camper! Never like that part, but it was you have to do! This location is very efficient, the staff is friendly, whoever owns this branch/ manager needs to train the other locations on etiquette and efficiency. I'm so grateful that this location is just up the street from me, even if i lived an hour away, this location is so worth the drive! The other postal offices i have been to have been very slow, they don't care about us having to wait and just seem to have an attitude all the time. So it's refreshing to see a location where everyone isn't miserable and with great customer service!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever witnessed at the UPS Store on Outlet…read moreDrive Silver Spring Md. A young customer, maybe 16 years old, was trying to ship a package. Instead of helping him, the employee Om repeatedly pressured him to buy insurance. The kid said no several times, yet Om kept pushing. Then Amixa, who I later learned is the manager, joined in and also tried to pressure him. At that point, I stepped in and told them to stop badgering him. Their response was unbelievable. Om told me to "mind my business," and the manager actually told me to "shut up" loudly, in front of a store full of customers. Instead of deescalating or helping the long line of people waiting, they continued arguing, insulting me, and eventually told me I was "not welcome" in the store. All because I spoke up for a minor who was being pressured into a purchase he clearly didn't want. This is completely unacceptable behavior from any employee, let alone a manager. Pressuring a child, insulting customers, and escalating a situation they created is not how a business should operate. I hope UPS corporate takes this seriously, because this location clearly has a major professionalism problem.
