Went two days in a row to try to get a passport as a walk in as their website is down to schedule. First time after waiting 20 minutes the worker came out cut off the line right infront me saying he was only going to do these people for the rest of the day. I went to the counter and asked if I could get help scheduling an appointment as it kept giving me errors online, the lady was very rude and wasn't helpful just insisted I had to use the website or the kiosk (which was the same thing with the same error) I tried to explain that I have been trying for a week now in hopes that the error would be fixed, she didn't care she just kept cutting me off directing me to the kiosk. Okay whatever, go the next day during their walk in hours which is 3-4pm lol. We got there at 1:50 just incase to find 10 people infront of us. The worker came and said she was only going to be able to get about 10 people, we decided to take the risk and wait. After 40 minutes the line hadn't moved AT ALL. The lady went to lunch, came back, and instead of helping the passport line she was helping the front registers which already had three other employees checking customers out. She was just doing other tasks and putting off doing any of the passport walk ins. We waited about another 10 minutes to see if she would come back and start working on passport but she didn't; we left. They don't want to work, and they're rude. read more

The employees are very rude and unhelpful. I had an important package to ship and needed to insure it and both told me to just package it myself. I had to go to another post office because they were out of bubble wrap and I needed it to ship my package. I had to go to the front desk a couple times for help and they would not help me and they told me to just do the self-service. I ended up going to Postal Annex which is close by and they were 100 times more helpful. read more

My most recent visit - The one star is for lack of enforcement of COVID preventative procedures. People not wearing their masks correctly (read chin diapers or not having noses covered), not distancing in the lobby while in the main line, no distancing between those in line and those using the kiosks. I am so disappointed by this Post Office. I go to the location late at night to be able to avoid as much exposure as I can due to health concerns . By far, the worst experience you can ever have at a USPS station. If there were an option to give zero stars, I would gladly do so. There are five counters there, including the passport window. There are almost always one or two people working them (although once I saw three) and there is always a line that goes back to the front door. When I moved to this area from Woodland Park, it took eight weeks for us to start getting our mail. During this time, they changed the locks on our mailbox twice, each of which required another trip to the PO and another 30+ minutes waiting in line. During that time, we received the previous residents' mail and no matter how many times we wrote "not at this address" on the envelopes and put them back, we still received their mail faithfully. Our mail, however, kept being held at the station. One time, I went and picked up our mail and after waiting in line for 45 minutes, was given a huge stack of someone else's held mail. I noticed this once I got in my truck. I walked back in and went to the counter to tell them I was given the wrong mail and the guy got pissed at me and wouldn't let me give it back to him unless I stood in line again. If you ask to speak to a manager, you can't understand him because he mumbles at an incredibly low volume. You will basically stand there saying, "I'm so sorry, but I didn't catch that." over and over until you finally leave. Given how these people go out of their way to make life hard for customers, this could actually be a planned strategy. Our first mail carrier was an idiot and then we were fortunate to get Elizabeth, who was wonderful. Now, we've got another idiot. It is a guarantee that any envelope that says "DO NOT BEND - PHOTOS" will be bent in half and wrapped around our other mail. There have been many times we've received our neighbors' mail and I've even gotten phone calls from people in other neighborhoods to let me know they have mine. I will literally drive out of my way to go to a different post office if I have to ship anything or buy anything. I'd tell you to go somewhere else for postal services, but you have no choice, of course. Then again, it's almost worth moving to get away from these incompetent, apathetic people. read more

Another in a series of bad experiences with this location. Have been forced to deal with these people for mail after the Black Forest Fire and renewing passports. Every experience I have had at this location has been sub par. If you are a monopoly, you don't have to care about customer service and it shows (remember the Bell System?). So now they have a Walmart-like greeter that is supposed to make your transaction faster. HA. This person apparently was new so his supervisor came out a couple of times while I was waiting to apologize to the people in line that they had to wait. Perhaps don't put the newest person in the position if you truly want to improve service. I was attempting to pick up a package for my daughter that required a signature. Though I had the door tag and a picture ID the first clerk couldn't help me and needed to talk to her supervisor. Supervisor comes to the counter and quizzes me about why I'm trying to pick up a package not addressed to me. Says she needs to talk to HER manager about it. Finally comes back and tells me "I don't know you, you could be trying to steal this mail". I asked if she could attempt redelivery and she told me to sign the form and put it in my mailbox. All of this bureaucratic BS for a package that ANYBODY at the address could have signed for (had someone been present), without an ID. This kind of crap explains why they are on track to lose $7B this year. If your only function is to deliver mail and packages and you are too incompetent to do that, then why do you exist? I'll watch them circle the drain into their inevitable bankruptcy when the private sector will take this over and do it better and cheaper. read more

I have never written a yelp review in my life. Today I feel the need to document this experience. I witnessed a poor elderly person treated terribly by an employee. I completely understand that post office employees sometimes have bad days but this is no excuse to talk down to a customer and treat them like they are dumb or stupid. I am completely appalled by the tone she used with this poor lady who was just simply needing to be helped like the rest of us. This location has a passport office that is open from 10 to 3. If I wanted to wait for an appointment it would've taken 10 days before they had one available so I decided to risk it and walk in. Knowing how post offices can kind of suck, and lines are similar to the DMV, I arrived promptly at two minutes until 10. The first two appointments were already in line waiting. Promptly at 10, the first appointment was called to the counter and didn't have his paperwork filled out in black ink and he needed to go to the side to fix this. Instead of starting with the second appointment, she wanted to give the guy a chance to fill his stuff out. Since I was a walk in, I walked up to the counter just to verify that 1) they took walk ins, and 2) I had all my information filled out correctly. Everything was in order so she went ahead and slipped me in, rather than waiting until the appointments were completed, since she thought she could do it pretty quickly. Now, remember, this is a government agency. She didn't have to make the effort to try to slip me in, but she did. I was in and out in five minutes. She took her job very seriously, but was very efficient and I was a happy camper, on my way to do anything other than waiting in line at the post office on this day. read more

I can't believe the previous reviews. I have visited this post office twice, once to notify them we moved into a new place and once to ship a package. Both visits I received excellent help. The first visit I went in looking for a second key for our box. The clerk stated he couldn't help me because my new HOA controlled the boxes. However, before I could leave he suggested that I complete a change of address for my new postal carrier. The clerk then went out of his way to tell me what box was actually ours. The second visit to ship my package was smooth and quick. Both visits I noticed the staff being friendly and helpful to all their customers. read more

The good: Whenever I have had to go inside of this post office location, it's been an overall good experience. The staff was helpful and pleasant to interact with. There are long lines at times, but if you go during off-peak hours, the wait isn't too long at all. The bad: I've moved several times over the past few years. Each time, I've filled out a change-of-address form and haven't experienced any issues...until now. I'm moving in a few weeks, so I submitted a change of address request about a month in advance, along with a specific forwarding date. Since I submitted the request, I haven't received any mail. I'm assuming it's being forwarded to my new address (I certain hope so!), but it's still very frustrating because we have been unable to get important forms and items over the past few weeks. Even prior to submitting the change-of-address request, we have had trouble with shipping items out of this particular branch. A few months ago, I dropped off a pre-addressed, pre-paid package. The package sat at the post office for three weeks before it was sent out. It was only after I contacted USPS to get an update that it was magically sent out. In addition, we have had several pieces of mail go missing over the past few months. Friends and family have sent us cards and packages (with the correct address) and they've gone missing, delivered a month late, or returned to them. So strange. I'm glad to be moving and no longer have to deal with this particular branch. I have to say this is the worst USPS I have ever been too hands down. They are beyond slow and their service is horrible. My local mailman left me a card I had something to pick up at this location, which is weird because I am in 80919 zip code. Either way I waited 40 minutes to get to the front of the line, and they told me that it wasn't here yet. They even checked my address and told me to come back the follow day. The next day when I went to the Parcel Pickup counter and NO one would answer the service bell for 30 minutes. I ended up getting into the regular line and waited another 30 minutes. Then the same guy who told me yesterday to come back then tells me that my local mail man put the wrong post office location on the card!!!!! So I spent 2 hours trying to pick a freaking package. I headed over to my normal location (who isn't the fastest by any means but way better that the 80920 location) and they had it to me within 10 minutes. A package my mother sent from Japan back in December) for Christmas was to be delivered on December 23rd. According to my tracking information that is... unfortunately the Airman at the post office (back on Yokota) entered the incorrect numbers to my address and the normal carrier was not assigned to our route. That exact same day that my package was to be delivered the status of my package changes to say it was being returned to sender... that is... all the way back to Tokyo, Japan. So when I call this post office to track down my package, I was told they had no idea where it was. -_- fast forward to some weeks later, I find out it's in Denver. I try to get it returned to my address but no response. Finally in MARCH it's in Illinois and another few emails later my track info says it's rerouted and delivered at my parcel locker. I check it. It's not there. I go to this post office and tell them it isn't delivered and they collect my information. I then get a phone call when I get home from an annoyed employee telling me the same exact thing I was just told in person but this guy was extremely rude. I don't know what his deal was... but I was not the one that was inconvenienced go him nor was I rude...later that evening my neighbor showed up to my door with my package. THE PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG PARCEL LOCKER. Had my neighbor not been a decent human my three month battle in search of my mother's gifts from my homeland would have NEVER gotten to me. Crappy post office. They say they take walks-ins for passports. The line was very long, and the lady waited 30 minutes to tell us we could wait all day, but she had back to back appointments . Rude, much? She advised the 10 people waiting in line to make an appointment. Absolutely the worst! Rude, incompetent workers. OUR MAIL IS BEING STOLEN, we have a hold on our mail. We recently received a note from our inept mail carrier telling us that she is going to "return to sender" all of our mail or to "contact our HOA" to get mailbox locks fixed. The THEFT is because someone has the master key to all of our community mail boxes and USPS is supposed to replace the master lock. THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN PROBLEM SINCE FEBRUARY (7 months ago) and ZERO has been done except uninformed notes from mail carriers. Isn't mail theft/fraud a Federal offense? Went in to this post office the other day to send off three packages. I was impressed how the woman in the vest, I believe her name was Virginia, promptly greeted me and was eager to help me send my packages out via their kiosk. She was kind and courteous. It was the best service I have ever received at any post office considering I send out many packages for my business. I was pleased to receive notification that all of my packages made it to their destination so quickly. I will definitely be visiting again due to this great service. read more

I tried calling to report missing mail. This is the 3 time a certain type of government mail has disappear or showed up 6 weeks after it was sent out. I don't have problems with bills arriving or being sent out just government mail. I also was hung up on before anyone answered twice and 1800 just going in circles. They have lost my mail more times than I can count, delivered the wrong mail so often I can memorize my neighbors' addresses by heart. This truly is the worst post office I've ever had to deal with, and I count 18. Lines are always long, rare to see more than one person working the counter. And so far that person (whichever is working)has been rude, slow and openly spiteful that people are in line. I've had a package sitting in the community mailbox for nearly a week because the mailman keeps putting the wrong keyS in the box. I'm not sure if he's doing it on purpose, or he's completely incompetent. Either way I guess I'll have to take a day off work to stake out the mailbox. You can't call to complain because the number for the post office is just a recording that says their busy and to call back later. Surprise. The USPS gets a lot of nasty reviews - so here's a switch. We received an e mail that an attempt was made to deliver a package, but we were not home. In fact, we were at home, and there was absolutely no attempt to deliver a package and no notice of an attempt was posted. We called the USPS, and this is where strange things happened. First, we actually talked with a live person and explained the problem. Second: Within a short time period someone showed up at our front door and explained that no delivery attempt had been made, but they would check it out. Thirdly: About 90 minutes later - the package was delivered with an apology. Great customer service with a personal touch. What a concept.
