The USPS office in 5755 Kittery Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. They have a serious policy problem regarding their passport operations. According to their schedule appointment website it says walk in hours are 9-12am. I get there on 27 Dec 2025 at 1030hrs. As I walk into the lobby they have word document notices that they are only performing passport operations from 10-11am. I walk in because I still have 30min until their new "policy" is closed for the day. They announce that they are only taking one more applicant and even though the family ahead of me had no paperwork prefilled out, I let them go ahead of me and I'll just show up the next week which was today the 3rd of Jan 2026. I show up at exactly 1000hrs on the dot. I get called up to the desk and the very rude customer service rep asked me if I had a number to be seen, I'm asking what number are referring too? He stated there are numbers that drawn to get serviced for passports and I'm like what??? I told him that I had no idea there was a number system and that it isn't stated anywhere in the lobby so how am I supposed to know about this. I explained to him I was here a week ago and there was no number system then. He stated that he wasn't going to argue with me at all. And then proceeded to ignore me and not even look me in my eyes knowing that he was wrong and rude. Didn't even try to help me at all and tried calling another customer to get rid of me. That offices policy isn't posted anywhere and they stated that last week that they didn't update the website to reflect said updated policy. This is very unacceptable behavior and I expected better from the so called professionals at the USPS. I served this country for 23 years in the Army on many deployments and I got better treatment on foreign USPS offices then I did here today. That is ridiculous! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Andrew with their complaint department is useless as can be and gives no cares that pictures were ruined by their carrier. This post office has got to be the worst in the US. Customer service as a whole is awful at this location. Never had a good experience and this just sums up how careless and unprofessional they are. The package was clearly marked and you could tell it was something that should not have been bent. How hard is it to walk yourself to the door and put it on the porch. Just a bunch of lazy workers getting paid too much to handle things that are valuable to customers. "Regarding your bent photo, unfortunately, requests that shippers write on their packaging does not mean the service will be provided by the USPS. If a shipper wants a nonflexible item to be delivered without any flex damage it needs to be properly packaged as such. Original review 12/2/19, updated review 12/6/19 Let's talk about Darling Mary. More complications brought me physically into the post office vs waiting the last two days for my amazon delivery to be sent to my doorstep. Alright, fine, Darryl (amazing Darryl) explained to me the drill over the phone and that I had to come in, let's do it. If you look at my last post the original gal in the vest now has the name of Mary. She had incredible customer service, I could talk about her all day. She went to get my heavy package and brought it around to me and was very personable. I couldn't have been more thrilled. Mary was very professional and made sure all of my questions were met. I had an additional question that Darryl had helped me with on Monday, because it was complicated she went to grab him to help. He was MIA (doing boss man cool stuff) but she continued helping customers while still checking on me. This is EXACTLY what she did when I was in his office on Monday. She is AMAZING at multitasking, very thorough, polite with just enough kindness that isn't overwhelming. I wish this was my regular Post Office because I'd be glad to have someone like Mary to see when I go in. Please give this woman a position in charge, not sure where she stands but swap her out with the mean supervisor. Mary can run the show and let people know how it's done. Greg helped me out with my passport and went ABOVE and BEYOND for me. the person who was supposed to do passports for as not there on the day i came in, so greg walked me through all the steps, helped me fill out paperwork when i had questions, and even helped me book an appointment so i could get in!! i can't thank him enough. 10/10 experience with him :) read more

Listen, I get no one has a "great" experience at the post office. I mean who's going to yip it up? This post office has great customer service and some how I always leave with a smile on my face when I have to interact with anyone there. Customer service at the post office building is amazing! though my carrier attempted to drop off a package that required a signature. it's a Friday at 1pm. when i didn't answer the door because i was at work, he huffed and rolled his eyes and threw down my other package that didn't need a signature. caught this on my doorbell camera. i understand that carrying a package that is MAYBE 1 pound is annoying, but get over yourself. people work, just like you are buddy read more

Make an appointment weeks in advance for passports? Well, their guy doesn't work on Fridays, so someone will call you 2 hours before your appointment to tell you about another office that takes walk-ins. Right after you make the appointment, so you can make better arrangements? Nope, two hours before you're supposed to show up. Didn't you call ahead to make sure about the appointment? Doesn't matter, because they don't answer the phone. Ever. Didn't you sign up for text updates? Don't make me laugh. You didn't really think that was for real, did you? You're so gullible. I really thought this was going to be a run in run out type of deal... not at all... I had to stand in line for over 25 minutes just for a book of stamps. They had a total of four clerks there but, only two of them taking customers. The other two just stood there chit chatting while the line got longer. Horrible staff. Rude, disappeared in the middle of helping me and when I asked another staff if he was coming back she said I don't know what he's doing or when he'll be back. He'll come back when he comes back. We waited another 10 minutes before he showed up and when he did he was very hostile. When my husband brought up our issue Kevin the supervisor then threatened him and made derogatory remarks about his clothing. Super slow and starting to get run down. The machine to ship out packages doesn't work so had to stand in a huge line. The staff is nice but not enough to keep up with the demand. Right now there are 15 people in line and only one lady. She's training someone so is slower then normal. There was a guy here but not sure what he's doing...left with a huge line and nowhere to be found now. The absolute worst post office in the history of the postal service! I've never been a mail carrier but it doesn't seem to me that matching numbers on envelopes with their corresponding box would be that difficult. Apparently it's down right impossible the way these carriers operate! Our neighborhood constantly has issues with them. Wrong letters to wrong address, missing mail, and packages left in parcel lockers with no key in the residence's box. Then you call and get someone who's less than interested in helping you. The ONLY person I've spoken to there who has actually HELPED me is Patricia (she gets 5 stars *****) but everyone else here if I could give 0 stars on this review I would. Horrible, awful, terrible! My review is in regards to whomever delivers my mail. This man lacks integrity. On 2-4-2021 I was expecting an expensive package. In the evening, I checked tracking and it said it was delivered to my front door/porch at 3:29 that afternoon. There was no package. I checked my cameras and USPS did not come in my driveway nor to my front door/porch. I put out a post on next door to see if maybe it was delivered to the wrong home. I followed up the next day, 2-5-2021, by calling the post office and giving them the tracking. They said they would look into it. I followed up again with a call on 2-6-2021 and was told the driver did not have the package. I happened to go outside and saw him loading the boxes (not sure what they are called) and I asked him about it. He said he delivered it to my front door. I then informed him that I have cameras and he did not leave a package. He went on to tell me that some people in the neighborhood have had packages stolen. Did I already mention that I have cameras (so if he left a package and it was stolen, again, it would be on camera)? He is a blatant liar. read more

Went in today for a money order and mail a letter. The first gentlemen was fast and friendly and not the reason for my review today. As I finished sealing my letter and went to the other open teller for the hand off so I can leave he began berating me telling me to wait till I was called, can't I read the sign, just having an attitude. I read the sign and it reads for privacy of the other customers to wait. It was me and another guy already being helped. So no need to be talked to like I was stupid when all it took was a handoff so I can leave. In a customer service job he forget the service part. I decided to wait for the other teller so I wouldn't have to wait to be served by the rude man. Given the rating this place already has I guess I shouldn't have expected much. read more

This post office isn't great, as indicated by the reviews. Our mail carrier likes to drive into our driveway, whip around way too quickly, and then leave the driveway way too quickly, often kicking up rocks and making holes in our driveway. One day while doing this he slung a rock through the back window of my car, shattering the entire thing. When he did the same thing a couple days later, I asked him politely not to turn around in the driveway like that. He said ok and left. The next day we get a slip in our mailbox saying "package wasn't delivered because of no access". Went to the post office and went all the way to the head mail carrier. Complained about it and informed them of the broken window. We were told that he isn't allowed to reverse the truck so that's why he isn't delivering. Asked them why he can't just park at the end of the driveway and walk it to the house like every single other mail carrier I have ever had. They said it's a union job, nothing we can do about it and laughed. This place is the absolute worst. read more

My mail carrier likes to set up little riddles for me! I get my email that my package has been delivered, so I open my mailbox and find the parcel locker key- yay! That means it's been delivered. Sadly, the locker keys are labeled incorrectly- so I have to try all 8 lockers. It opens number 7. *excitement mounting* I swing open parcel locker 7 expecting my package- nothing In there except another parcel locker key- whaaat? And get this: the key I've been gifted doesn't open anything, and I return home empty handed! Doesn't that sound like so much fun? I hate this place, you guys suck and I'm keeping your stupid key since I don't know what else to do with it. Maybe when my package arrives you can have it back lol read more

As always, the Colorado Springs Postal Service never let's me down with disappointment. Had a package coming from California on Monday and initially it stated online with a Saturday delivery which I thought was odd from years of experience with Priority mail. Sure enough the delivery date (next day) was adjusted to Friday which seemed right. What was interesting is that the online site said that package would be delivered on Friday by 8:00 pm. 8:00 pm, never heard of such delivery time from USPS! Anyway, Friday (today) at 6:00 pm, no package so I called to listen to the standard reply/B.S. which I got. By the way, the automated system said 6 minutes wait but my actual wait time was 1 hour. The employee stated that the package most likely wasn't going to be delivered past 6:00 pm which I figured. Anyway, I'm retired and definitely have time to harass folks for not doing there job! read more

Shopped a box to my son in California , never made it , went down there to that post office , the manag said was too busy to talk to me after four visits never got any results , they took my money and my box was lost , I went back and forth on the phone and at a the office, do they lost my items and claim they are not responsible for the problem, bad customer service all the way through management to the clerks . I told the supervisor that they had lost me as a customer, I wouldn't even buy a stamp from them , next time it's UPS or FedEx , I'll pay more but the service is better . My priority package with 2 day delivery and tracking is just gone. The tracking says it's still here, but it's not, but it hasn't been scanned anywhere else. Flat gone. They locked the doors over 10 minutes BEFORE closing time so I had to use the machine and pay extra to use the flat rate envelopes. To top it off, they had ONE dead pen on the table so I then had to wait for someone to come in who might let me borrow something to write with because trying to get the attention of the employees did nothing. I cannot express the amount of times I have had a package delivered and signed for by someone who isn't me (like the postman) when it says signature required you'd think they would do what UPS does and verify your identity and then sign for you (thanks to covid). Apparently today I had a package left on my front porch. Wrong. Not on my porch. Not in my letter box and not in a parcel locker. So where is my package you might ask...no idea. They don't answer the phone. 9 calls on less than 20 minutes and none have been answered. They delivered a $2900 rifle sight and left it on my porch saying I signed for it. I wonder what would've happened if it was stolen, if they signed for it technically I have no standing. Basically you're a mail service and people trust you with their products. USPS is the worse but the security location is even more special. We are new to the area and it took a month to get any mail. We would stand in line for over 45 minutes and find out that there is no mail. We had to call the main office of the United States and the very next day our mail appeared out of nowhere. The one time I dropped off a package in the rolling thing, it was stuck so after ringing the bell to let them know no one bothered to show up. I saw an employee walking by so I let him know that that it was stuck, he said the it is full and walked away. So I had to go in the front of the line and place my package on the counter because the line ended outside. read more

Trying to get proof of residency in Colorado and one example the DMV website lists is a USPS change of Address Form CNL107, I called the location and a lady answered the phone. I asked her how to go about getting the form and she had no clue what the form was. She definitely didn't have any interest in helping me...
