This is the best post office! I actually go out of my way to go to it. The people are very nice and so helpful. Lines moves quickly.

Racking my brain trying to figure out how to say this...so I'll just simply say...if there's a cloud in the sky, you aren't getting your mail delivered that day. If there is a flower blooming by your mailbox, and there happens to be a honeybee on it, you won't be getting your mail delivered that day. If there is a car parked within 20 feet of your mailbox, dang it, the driver just cannot access the delivery location! If it's the second month in a row with a Friday the 13th, oh lordy!...you ain't gettin your mail today, no-sir-ree! UPS and FEDEX packages were mistakenly dropped off at interior self serve parcel drop off box- after realizing this canme back days later to retrieve these packages and NO ONE WOUKD LOOK for them. We were told that they were in Denver, then at UPS and then at FedEX. We made a mistake but packages are still missing for 2 months now- read more

They do not deliver to your door if you require a signature. I've had multiple issues of them leaving a note in the mailbox then going to this facility and them saying they don't have it, the mail carrier is delivering it today, then me go back home and watch the mailman drive by my house and not deliver it. Very annoying. The staff are nice, but the services are not good. read more

They refuse to deliver signature required packages to your house, even tho they deliver to my front door EVERYDAY and I am HOME ALL DAY EVERYDAY, but they refuse to knock for my signature and don't even bring the package with them. Instead, they expect me, an elderly crippled old lady, to find someone to drive me thirty miles to town because "they cant bother knocking on your door because they are too busy". So as a result of this INSANE UNSPOKEN POLICY, i just lost a job opportunity because I needed the papers in the package they refused to deliver TODAY. The guy today just tried to make me feel stupid. No help. Old men in line love to grab you to get your attention that you're the next one being called up. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I am beginning to realize why the USPS is losing $56 Million a day! I used the automated machine last night to mail a package only to find the package drop box locked. So I went back today and the drop box is still locked. I should have waited until Monday and taken my package to a place where they actually care like UPS or FedEx. But I guess this is the service I should expect from the Federal Government. With experiences like this I am a becoming a HUGE proponent of privatization of the USPS. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!!!! Worst post office I've ever experienced. They have not delivered five of my packages to me so far and just kind of "hold on" to them and then send them back without trying to contact me or anything?! They also ask that I pay for packages that they "couldn't deliver" even though we have a mailbox right out front, ON THE STREET clearly marked I am having a monthly package delivered to me and have been for years, how is it that I've lived two places and never had an issue with them placing it in my mailbox every month and then as soon as I move to where this post office delivers to it's all of a sudden a big deal? The mail lady once knocked on my car window as I was leaving holding my package telling me she cousin the deliver it and she won't give it to me and I have to pay, she was holding it right in front of me ?! Worst customer service I have ever had. I was trying to ship a large package today and the female employee (they refused to tell me her name) told me it would cost $130, I was told it would be cheaper than pakmail. I asked her why it was so expensive compared to the other shipping place I tried, and she literally threw my money back at me and told me to go there then. I was shocked and embarrassed by how rude and unkind she treated me. I will NEVER go back to this post office which I have been going to for 10 years. Some of the staff are very friendly but the wait times are ridiculous. I set aside 30 minutes each time I go in. Rarely do they have more than two clerks staffing the front counter. Often lines are 10-15 deep. read more

Called the post office's main number (635-9486) on 8th street to ask why my mail was not delivered on my return from vacation- I had filled out a card prior to going on vacation and checked off the option to have my carrier deliver it upon my return. The phone rings endlessly and after 20 rings or so, it disconnects. I have tried the last three days to call the post office and it's the same thing over and over. Outrageous! I guess I'll need to pick it up myself because I'm getting no where calling. So frustrating! read more

If I could give this a zero rating I would do so. This is the very worse Federal post office I've ever dealt with in over 30 years. The manager tries to act like he's a total idiot, which I wouldn't try arguing with. I have had a Federally approved home delivery mailbox setup due to my disability with complete proof and approval from the Federal government to have my mail delivered TO my home. The only problem is? They aren't any more concerned with delivering my mail daily on a timely basis than someone living in Poland. Atrocious service with some lackadaisical employees as an added disappointment. This pertains to delivery AND pickup. I would terminate nearly every employee there and start anew. read more

I don't always go directly to the post office but when I do I use this office. Every time I'm in Eddie goes above and beyond to help me with my mailing needs. Give this man employee of the month, hell employee of the year! This is by far the best post office in Colorado Springs, the people at the counter are quick even when there is a line. They are polite and always are helpful. I really dislike going to other post offices. The one on Fountain is the worst post office I have ever encountered in all my 61 years. They are rude and slow. read more

I saw on the local news where a postal worker at this location was caught stealing mail. I had a piece of mail that wasn't delivered after a reasonable amount of time after the sender sent it, so I wanted to see if the USPS was going to contact the individuals whose mail had been discovered to have been stolen by this employee. I called the phone number listed for this office. It's an 800 number and I'm not sure if the number is for this individual post office because I was quoted over an hour to speak to someone. When I got to this post office I heard the phone ringing off the hook, so maybe it was for this location. I decided to just go to the post office and ask rather than wait an hour or more to speak to someone. The employee I spoke with admitted he wasn't too familiar with the situation and went to ask his manager. The manager informed him that customers who were affected by this incident had been contacted. Given that this was on the local news it's a wonder to me that the manager didn't brief his or her employees on the matter. You would think that they would try to get ahead of it. The USPS has a history of poor customer service; however, so it didn't exactly surprise me. read more

So several times now, our mail carrier has delivered our packages to our neighbors. No error in our address, just packages not being delivered. So when I'm missing a package and they say they delivered it, I have to sneak around to see where the carrier decided was good enough to drop it just to get the stuff I paid for and ordered because I don't know all of my neighbors as there is a high military turn over in my area. Calling them directly is time that would be better spent conversing with a boulder for all the help they provide. read more
