Came in with 20 or so packages that were prepaid. Guy at the counter yells to me as soon as I walk in asking if they're "done", to which I said yes. I could tell he was relieved to not have to do anything. He tells me to put them over there and looks over at the self service kiosk. I thought he wanted me to place them on the counter which is pretty standard at every other post office I've ever done this at. I proceed to do so and he starts yelling something at me. I can't understand what he saying because he's speaking to me from across the room. At this point he starts being condescending and asking if I know my right from my left. Eventually I figured out he was wanting me to throw my packages over the counter into what he was referring to as a "hamper" which was actually a cart. Great way to treat your customers. I agree with most of the other comments here about the lobby at this PO. I notice that the favorable comments are things like "good location", "good parking", etc. Negative comments all deal with the workers - in particular the manager and counter clerks. My advice is to drive to the well-run HB PO at Atlanta between Brookhurst and Magnolia - you will enjoy dealing with those great people. I have been told that the bad attitude is due to the manager. That may be, but it's no excuse for the way most of the CM clerks treat patrons. "Rude" is the only way to describe this PO. If you really want to do something about this PO, call the Santa Ana area distribution center and ask for Tony. He may not be the right one to talk to, but he will give you someone's name -- better than contacting "postmaster". The number is 714-662-6447. If I could give No star. I give NONE. This place offers the worst service ever. No wonder so many people are giving only one star on this page. They didn't deliver my package and lied to me that the business was closed on the day of the delivery. I was sitting there waiting and checking on my tracking # all day. And they didn't leave the notice paper and just hold my package at the post office. If I haven't check the tracking # the package was sent back over sea. When I went into the post office and explain what happened, no apology was give for the inconvenience and the person at the counter was very very VERY rude. I was disrespected by the window clerk today. His name was Tony. He was extremely rude to me and I feel violated. This post office needs to get their act together. They is no way a citizen of this community should be treated and spoken to in this kind of disgusting manner. When I asked to speak with a supervisor He rung a bell and after 20 minutes of waiting I was told that the supervisor was not around and I had to them beg for the supervisors contact information. I was then provided with the supervisors name "Joy" however the phone number that was provided to me just rang with no answer not even a voicemail. What a joke. There was also a black man working next to Tony who started yelling and screaming at me to the point where I think I need to file a police report. In my experience, most post office employees at most post offices aren't the nicest people you'll meet during any given day but the employees at this location are less polite relative to other post office employees at other locations. There may be an explanation for why they are such miserable people but I would recommend, rather than investigating why, just avoid this location altogether. read more

This post office branch is inconsiderate to their customers. When I called the first time about packages that were confirmed as "delivered" but never actually were delivered to me, the woman on the phone had an angry and hurried tone. She tried to rush me off the phone as quickly as possible and was unwilling to listen to my concerns. When I finally was able to convince her to listen and to write down the tracking numbers of the packages that they had "misplaced", she promised to call me back. Over two weeks later - No call back. Finally, I called again this morning and spoke with Victor, one of the Managers of the location that she assured me would be able to help with the situation. Victor then said he would transfer me to someone who could look up the packages, after cutting me short and obviously not understanding the details of my request. After waiting on hold for nearly 11 minutes I tried calling back. After 5 or 6 calls, each time their phone rang 20-30 times each, when I tried calling a couple minutes later someone picked up the phone for a few seconds and hung up on me, without saying a word. Finally, after half a dozen times of being hung up on, I called USPS Consumer Affairs / Claims. The phone was answered with voicemail, so I left a message explaining the issue. We'll see if they return the call. I need to get this matter settled, so I called the post office back and spoke to Henry. He was assisting another customer, but at least he let me know this. Finally, after another 13 minutes of waiting, he asked for my address and is looking into the matter. Since we live somewhere that packages have never been left at our door and are always delivered into a locked box, I know they were not left at the door and stolen. Henry said he would contact the postal inspector later this afternoon to report that they are suspected to have been stolen. The regular carrier is no longer working our route and our route is now served by a variety of postal carrier filling in for now, according to Henry. He said that it could have gone to the wrong address...But it was CONFIRMED DELIVERED by USPS. Then I suggested that the postal carrier could have liked what he saw, so he said he would report a possible theft. In any case, Henry did listen and was helpful - Hopefully he follows through. I can't say the same about the rest of their staff. I'm sure every delivery service has its problems, but we have never had an issue with UPS...I'm just saying. And by the way, I am a customer. These government supported private companies treat their patrons as though they are doing us a favor if they are ever helpful. (Yes, the USPS is a private company in most regards) In any case, if you are ordering through an online service, make sure to pay for insurance and to require your signature. It may cost more but is worth it. In fact, save yourself the trouble and insist on UPS or FedEx. read more

I honestly need to figure out how to write a complaint letter to management in regards to the manager Everlyn or whatever her name is. OBVIOUSLY, she has issues and I am not surprised there are complaints about her already on here. My visit started out good because I wasn't expecting to receive any help packaging my package... but the nice man that was working there was really friendly and helpful. He helped me package it and was advising me that I should use a different envelope so I can save money. Okay, so that's 2 stars... but then I already paid for a flat rate box online using my company's paypal so it was already too late. Since I had some questions, he passed me on to Everlyn.. OR WHATEVER her name is. She gave me problems but did provide any solutions. She also said it's not their job to help, its out of their own goodwill... which reminds her... she should remind him (the previous guy that was helping me).... he should stop helping people. WTH? REALLY LADY? What kind of crazy manager are you? FINE dont help me. I was fine with packaging my own stuff but when I asked her if I could have an envelope... she thought about it and then said no. She was SO RUDE. I do feel extremely bad for her staff! I should've gave her an earful. I don't know what her problem is but it is NOT okay to be working anywhere with that attitude. I know that post offices aren't the most exciting places to visit or to Yelp, but this post office deserves some Yelp recognition. This is my favorite post office in the central OC area, and I always try to come here whenever I need to mail any packages. Kudos to you for having: 1) A large spacious waiting area, with ample benches where you can rest your tired legs and heavy packages. 2) An efficient staff (usually at least 4 postal workers are handling customers). The staff tend to be courteous as well. 3) Typically short queues--except for occasional peak periods such as the holiday and tax seasons. 4) A freaking Take-A-Number system!! 5) Ample parking spaces. While this post office branch has decent in-house service most of the time, their accuracy in mail and package delivery to homes in their area is, in my estimate based upon personal experience and that of my neighbors, only about 75% successful. Postal mail is often misdelivered to the wrong house on our street - if not to the next street over - and packages shipped by UPS to the branch to be delivered are also left at the wrong house but marked as delivered in their tracking system. You have to rely upon the honesty and response of your neighbors and even those many streets away in order to get your mail and packages that should have been delivered correctly. When reporting the issues to the manager at this location, his response is always the same: "You must live in an apartment or must have lost the item (letter/package) somewhere around your house." Pathetic problem resolution skills. For any others that experience these issues, the only way to get a proactive response is to call the central branch/office on Sunflower and file a report. I understand that you work for the government and that must suck. But that doesn't give you the right to be a complete Jerk. I am talking about Evelyn, the shift supervisor on June 2, 2015. She didn't listen to a word I said until I finally showed her the address my package failed to deliver to and she jumped to the conclusion that I was breaking the law. I purchased an item from Germany and the seller forgot to include my Apartment number on the shipping label. Mind you, my complex is 0.1 miles from the Post Office. And had the box been taken to the address listed (resident services). It would have been sorted by my complex and sent to me. However, this supervisor jumped to the conclusion it is illegal for me to "not include my apartment" and it might be criminal activity for me to request picking it up before it gets sent back to Germany. I had proper ID and the routing number and that woman was completely out of line to speak to me as rudely as she did. As for the other employees, I experienced nothing but positive customer service. I've been coming here for over 9 years and the services has generally been mediocre. Most of the time, I can get what I need, but the employees just seem so impatient, bored, and sullen. My experience has been that if you have a simple request like "here is a package I have already addressed; please weigh it and put postage on it," the job gets done. But if you aren't sure what you need, or what you need requires some ingenuity on their part, it really becomes an ordeal. It feels like they try to get rid of you as fast as possible, even if that means sending you away empty handed. It sounds like other people have had really good experiences here with helpful employees. That's great, and I hope that type of employee becomes more common. However, my repeated experiences with the long-term employees here over the years suggest there is some kind of systemic issue with this particular post office that drives away great staff or kills whatever spark of life they started out with. I often see new employees that seem more eager and happy to be there, but I don't ever see them again. Meanwhile, the crabbiest employees are there year after year. I recommend checking out the post office on Sunflower instead. I've only been there once, but my single experience there was so much better than any experience I've ever had here. read more

I seriously dread coming here, but I simply do because of it's location. This location is lucky I'm giving them 2 stars! The reason why I dread coming here is because for some reason, I always get this rude unhelpful asian guy that rings me up at the register. Ever since my first time here, which wasn't too long ago, he has had a bitter attitude towards me. Whenever I wait in line, I see him being, somewhat nice, to everyone else and say, "Have a good day." However, when I get to him, his smile disappears I can see him giving me a judgmental, unhappy look. The lady next him at the register was so nice and literally was giving her customer suggestions on what box to use and why to use it, prices, what would make it quicker. While the asian guy I got simply pointed to the boxes and said, those over there are what you need. I wouldn't be annoyed with him if he was just a little more helpful, I don't know everything about shipping, I am not that experienced with shipping, I'm not completely sure what I'm doing half the time he could use better explanations than, "this is the wrong box." WHY is this the wrong box, what is the difference between them, what is the price difference? The lady next to him can explain all that clearly, nicely, and thoroughly. He clearly gets impatient because I'm not 100% sure what to do. I completely understand it can be a little annoying to deal with a customer who is not knowledgeable of how things work, I worked in retail before! But, its employees like him that give the post office a bad name because he cant't help customers out just a little more, especially when your coworkers are being very helpful and nice to their customers. This is absolutely by far the worst post office ever! I've been at the same address for roughly 5 years and on several occasion have I not received my mail or packages are being sent back without me receiving a pick up notice. I have contacted them in the past regarding this and for a while everything seemed in order. Until today... this week I had scheduled a redelivery for today to assure I'd be home to receive my package. Big surprise! It never came. It's the worst! Don't trust them with international shipping! In the beginning of December I sent a package to Germany. The suggestion from the woman was that I have to do it with express. She promised me it's getting there before Christmas and it's still not there. On the sign is big 3-5 business days and I paid a lot of money for it. And for what? For nothing! They are not responsible to give me a refund and they didn't take the blame on them. Why they told me I have to pay more money for a service which doesn't exist ? It isn't guaranteed that the package is there before Christmas and it took over 12 business day. So what are the 3-5 days ? They only want to make money and nothing else. Hi went to the post office to purchase a PO Box. I called in before I got there to make sure I had all the right documents to get the mail box. When I went up to the desk the post office employee said "I don't have the correct documents." I told him I called in before I came to make sure the docs I brought would be sufficient and the man on the phone said yes. The person behind the desk started to accuse me of lying even after I showed him I had a 10+ min phone call just before I arrived. I politely started to ask him questions and he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. Basically, just blew me off. I feel sorry for the staff at this post office because the manager is a total witch. I cringe every time I see her, and heaven help me if I get her window. My husband and I went to pick up a piece of mail that was too big for our POB, and she asked us for identification. I asked her what the name on the piece of mail was, and she wouldn't tell me. She clutched the piece of mail to her chest and looked at me wide-eyed, as if I was crazy. Meanwhile, my husband dutifully got out his driver's license and held it so that she could see it, but she ignored him and continued to banter with me. All I wanted to know was if the piece of mail was for me or my husband so that the right person presented identification, but she was too busy "protecting the mail" to be logical. It turned out that the piece of mail was for my husband, and her exchange with me could have ended if she would have acknowledged the fact that his identification was there for her to see. She is a piece of work. We've had several problems with lost mail (both incoming and outgoing) with this post office. They hold packages if they are too large for your POB, and then they cannot find them in back. Some of the workers are much more dedicated than others and will go the extra mile to help you, but that really depends on which line you're in. I think that better management might lead to happier, more motivated workers in this office. I have found the wait times at this post office to be reasonable compared to other locations. Usually, long lines at the post office are due to customers who do not prepare packages properly or seek information on the USPS web site. The workers at this location do a pretty good job of moving things along. To the customers that use this location - the front curb of this USPS is painted red so that you will not park your car there. There is plenty of parking in the lot next to the building. I realize that you are in a hurry, but you are not special enough to park in the red zone while the handicapped and elderly folks park farther away. Be kind, please. read more

Had to go back with proof it was received by the post office, and the first employee I spoke to insisted it was not there. Got a manager, and he found it after a while. Usually going in here isn't too bad, I'd say it's about a 50/50 chance of good service. The woman who helped me just now with curly hair pinned on top of her head, actually didn't help me AT ALL. Not only did I go in there smiling and kind, understanding my package situation was a little strange, and she was IMMEDIATELY extremely rude. I just started managing a new community and our Postal Carrier is awful! Rude, leaves the boxes open, and forgets to lock them, leaving my resident's mail exposed!!! I had also received a package for my business and my parcel key would not work so I could obtain my package. So I left a note for my postman to come to the leasing office so I could get my package. When he came in, he addressed this issue by brushing it off and telling me to call the post office and have them come and have them come open it. I stood there in shock! I said " are you not apart of the post office, and do you not have a master key to open all the boxes so I can my package?" He of course said he did, I then asked him to open the box for me...his response was.."right now? i'm about to leave" I said yes right now I need this package for my business. After residents started to complain I then decided to call USPS. I spoke with the rudest person I have ever come into contact with by the name of EVELYN! She's horrible! I expressed my frustration with this carrier and she said she would not replace him, and that he is following procedure! I guess procedure with the post office is being rude. She seriously asked me for my manager's number....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! When I am calling to complain?!? She accused me of being rude and that's why my post man acts like that. I called the post master and of course he's not available, and the guy taking the message was also rude to me! I'm guess he talked to EVELYN! I rarely have a reason where i have to visit a post office but I had important govt mail that I had to send out and I have no knowledge of what I should be doing or of i should be taking any certain steps with important mail. I've been to at least 5 different USPS, and OMG this one is by far my favorite location! If you just need to drop off mail and has already put the stamps on it, this location has two "drive-thru" boxes for you to slide your mail in. No matter what time I've had to go in to ship my packages, there is never a line, and this location only has about four to five postal office service workers at a time, too! read more

This five stars is not going to the "indoor" employees, because I have to agree, they are pretty rude and incompetent. However, our mail carrier, Norm, is the best guy in the world! He sends out personal, handwritten Christmas cards, he brings every single package to my door (and that is a heck of a lot, since I am a member of Amazon Mom and order all baby supplies online), and always with a smile. Why can't I give negative stars. The staff if like Dicks Last Resort in San Diego. Rude & obnoxious. Only Dicks does it all in fun. The front desk just want to sit in their stool & be rude. Ignore customers, talk over them, ring their door bell buzzer to get more help from supv because they don't get paid enough to handle more than 1 cust per 30 min. Would love to know how they keep their job!! I've worked in cust serv all my life & I would have fired each one of them within 5 min for their actions. We all need to go elsewhere so they can feel our pain & then overhaul the whole place. Too many Americans who want jobs can't find one. These people are taking up space. I wanted to say how much me and my boyfriend truly appreciate Evelyn and Chris . We had a issue with our rental company being dishonest . We needed to track our Express Mail and everything that could go wrong did. I went in and spoke to Evelyn who was truly sympathetic to our needs and even when I was emotional , she was still amazingly supportive. I returned the next day as instructed and worked with Chris . Chris was also very helpful and sensitive to our situation . Both of these amazing women we can't thank enough . As my boyfriend and I made several calls and were not assisted by anyone at the Post Office on the phone . Going into the Post Office was a blessing , and to get the help we needed from 2 individuals who TRULY value their customers, and exemplify what customer service truly is . I have a box at this location and have had it for many years maybe 15 years and I love it... I have moved back and forth from Orange County all the way to Antelope Valley in Little California City and I always come back and I kept my box through all of this.,... I don't want to go anywhere else... the people are the best, the friendliest, they are the fastest and they are the most efficient with an exception of a few mail errors but for the most part I know I can always count on these mail counter workers to help with whatever you need. They have everything anyone could ever want.] They have boxes, tape, greeting cards, labels, packing paper and bubble wrap amongst many other things for sell and they have a big spacious waiting area which makes you feel comfortable when you have to wait a little longer than usual sometimes, but most time you barely sit down and they are already calling your number. They also do Passports there so that is very convenient too and many times they have someone at the front window asking who has only mail pickup slips and they will help you instead of making you wait around others' who are trying to ship like 5,000 packages or so, so it is awesome. I know quite a few of the people who work there and they are the best and should be commended... I think they should be made an example to other post offices' who are horrible and have like no customer service skills what soever. There is one person who works in the front window and I think his name is Keith but I am not so great on names, he is a black man and he is the best... he is always greeting me and asking me how I am doing even when I don't get him when my number gets called and he makes sure that I have picked up all of the packages or mail when I have a mail pick up slip and thoroughly checks all of the areas to make sure that I didn't miss any mail that is already there and then there are 2 very nice red haired employees who work in the front, the one with the curls in her hair whos hair is mixed with blondish brown or so is the nicest she is amazing to... again I forgot her name... she is amazing she is so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and she should get a raise. They petty much are all amazing and I am so happy and proud to call this location my favorite location and I don't want to go anywhere else... I hope they never close because I don't know what I am going to do if they do... also it will be the biggest mistake to get rid of the best post office that ever came to this planet. They also are open pretty late monday thru friday... 8-5:30 p.m. and then on Saturday from I believe 9-2:00 p.m. and that is awesome I use the Saturday pick up date or day to check my mail and send packages and other things so it is very convenient for me when I have such a busy work week schedule. Also they have drop off boxes, a stamp machine, 2 or more drive up drop off boxes for mail drop off, a weigh machine you can use 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You also get access to your boxes all day and night 2 if you want, but I am not up that late and early in the morning so that is never something I need personally, but I know it is very important for many, many, many busy people. SO BASICALLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY, IS THAT YOU DESPERATELY NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT MORE PEOPLE GIVE THEIR OPINIONS FOR THIS LOCATION TO ENSURE THAT IT STAYS PUT since everyone is in jeopardy these days with this horrible economy, but now they are trying to close many post offices too and take away a very necessary Saturday mail service run and close all locations on Saturdays and also get rid of many workers and mail carriers so if the mail system isn't already very unreliable can you imagine with less workers, mail carriers and 1 less day of mail service.. I received a key stating I had mail waiting in a locker therefor I go down in a rush because I did happen to be waiting for a few large packages, when I got there the locker that was supposed to have mail in didn't have anything in it which kind of worried me because the packages were important so I go and talk to one of the guys standing up front to see what the confusion was and he was extremely rude to me. I didn't have my package number so he pretty much told me it was a mistake the key some how accidentally fell into my mailbox sending my back home completely confused. I must say I'm very very unsatisfied with the customer service here. Second and last trip to the 92626 post office I had the pleasure of meeting this fellow can't remember exactly his name maybe TED it was definitely only three letters.
