terrible service , people that deliver are the absolute worst! always leaving my stuff with my neighbors , only because my neighbors are kind enough to give me back my mail that they ALWAYS misplace. been wanting for a certified mail that was supposed to be delivered today, according to the driver they came to try to deliver it and no one was home , again NEVER came to my front door. Supposedly left me a notice in my door that they tried to deliver it, guess they got lost in the process since didn't even get that paper. I guess they expect me to be always waiting by the mailbox. Although at times, it may not seem perfect, the post office is an American institution that we should all be proud of. FedEx and UPS have no sense of urgency, the post office is tried and true and reliable. People used to die to get letters from one end of the country to another, communication is so important, and we should be so proud of our Post Office. This is a general complaint about the usps. I'm not sure which stop my box got dropped on its corner demolishing the Apple computer within, but I'm posting this in as many places as possible so people understand how corrupt and non caring you all are. In August of last year my uncles Apple computer was delivered to him completely damaged with the box demolished. I had to wait 17 days to put in a complaint. They replied with sending me the 50.00 in insurance I purchased as I did not think someone would be so careless as to drop the box and damage the computer. This company is awful and needs to fix this. This is blatant damage not lost or stolen property. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Use UPS or FedEX instead. At least they stand behind their service and will pay for what they damage. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would just like some of my other writers. They employe thiefs and let them steal parcels from that don't belong to them. I had a parcel stolen and made it to look like it was delivered and the acting supervisor washed her hands citing that too many days have past and that I needed to contact the seller of the item that was stolen. What good does that do if they in turn are going to deny and make it look like they did deliver it and make me look stupid. This is the 2nd time it has happened and now it's getting ridiculous. read more

I've always received great service here. They seem to be busier than other desert post office but they also tend to have more staff on hand so the line moves fast. It's not as new or prettier as the LQ or PD post offices but I'd much rather get great, friendly service than worry about aesthetics. The parking lot is not as big as others but there is enough room for all. read more

I agreed with the previous comment from Bill. I received a note at my door on 7/31/17 because my business was closed on that day. On 8/1/17, I came to post office to pick up my package and they couldn't locate it! I found out the new female carrier took it back to the office and dropped the package in the return to the sender box! They took my phone Num just in case they found it and give me a call which they didn't do it! I have call 800- 275-8777 to file a complaint, then they redirected the complaint to Mark, who was Indio post office supervisor. Guess what? The only thing he can say is he is sorry for that happen and tell me to call the International Inquiry center to stop the package from returning to Thailand. They hold my call 45min. To get someone to talk about that issue. In short, wasting time for nothing and I ended it up to pay twice for shipping which cost me $150 because it was an international shipping! I wasn't happy with the way the supervisor was, instead of help solving the issue for the customer, but look like he didn't care, and tried to cover up his employee problems, who wrote on the record that the address wasn't correct, and if that wasn't, how come she left the note on my door but not the package??? read more

Warning the line up for this post office can get really really long. It is the only post office that is remotely close to the festival grounds but is still somewhat of a Drive. I had some rare records that were Coachella exclusives and some Record Store pre-releases from the Zia Record booth on festival grounds. I didn't want to put them in the locker all weekend so I mailed them back to me to my US post office in Blaine, WA. I used USPS and printed a shipping label and home,however, the line up just to drop stuff was long. I think others were doing the same thing as I. The employees at this post office are determined to do the minimal for their guest. I have been living in Indio for 8 months - hence receiving mail there for 8 months. My sister sent me a package with the wrong house# but correct street name. (The house# was off by one number) The package arrived on the 19th - I arrived at the post office on the 20th and learned they immediately sent it back to MS. You should have looked up my name- Held it for 24 hours- Something. You genuinely do not care if packages get to their destination and its disappointing. POST OFFICE - I want you to know you just ruined a very special evening for me that I will not get back. In the package was a ball gown that I am supposed to ware to a winter formal. The employees here are usually really nice. Every time I go in they're pretty busy. One lady employee in particular, always makes sure to take the time to ask each person how they are doing and does it with a smile. I look forward to seeing her when she is there. I was hesitant to stop by due to the horrible reviews,but I'm glad I decided to see for myself. I receive the best service and with a smile. The young lady who helped was Claudia and she was really sweet and told me the different options available for the package I was delivering. Maybe I got lucky because seriously there was 1 person ahead of me in the line on a Friday afternoon. I was in an out in a jiffy, but I tell you with the amazing customer I received from the nice lady who greeted me when I got there to the lady behind the counter I would not mind waiting a little bit. No star if possible. Post office tracking says the package was delivered July 20th. It was not. I got in trouble due to this error. The package was delivered weeks later. I was told to go to usps and get secret print out of what happened. They gave me an LOr number but would not email any incriminating information. The arrogant man at counter would not provide any information. He did not care about the time wasted on this. He told me the delivery status wad correct. I felt threatened. I think his actions were criminal. How can the post office lie about a delivery and then this post office hide the information and make it difficult for me to get any information. I purchased an item off ebay, the post office confirmed delivery but delivered it to the wrong address and told me there is nothing they can do about it. I emailed USPS corporate and they failed to respond but sent me a survey to find out how my situation was resolved. Ebay has forced me to pay for the item. On October 15, 2019 I mailed my sister in law a birthday card to her post office box in Indio, ca on Fargo st. When my brother her husband went in to pick up he's mail he found a yellow notice card saying he had mail but in order to retrieve it he had to pay an additional 0.33 cents. So he went up to the counter and handover the yellow card to the clerk and the clerk said it will be 0.33 cents please. Because the mail didn't have enough postage. So my brother paid the additional postage of 0.33 cents when the clerk gave the card to my brother the card had already been opened. So my brother told the clerk wait a moment this envelope is opened. The clerks responded I'm sorry sometimes letters get jammed. So my brother left not knowing that I had put in 2 gift cards of $25.00 each. Later my brother called me to inform me he had gotten the card and told me about the stamp issue and that he had to pay an additional 0.33 cents. So that's when l asked my brother if there was 2 gift cards in the card. He replied no the envelope was already open. Well you can imagine how angry I became. I had mailed the birthday card from Saltlake city, Ut to Indio, Ca via Post Office I saw when the clerk at the Utah post office weighed the envelope I paid 1.09. So I called the usps 800 customer service number and I filed a federal theft complaint. I later received a call from Vonda I believe she is the assistant Post Master in the Indio office. She really didn't know how to resolve the problem she told me that it will be difficult to find out what happened to the gift cards because they have no cameras in the back . I was given a claim number will see what happens. I'll tell you this I lost full confidence in the USPS!!!!!! ILL NEVER MAIL ANY MORE GIFT CARDS THROUGH THEM. read more

I hate having to go to this post office. They are always understaffed with a wait time of no less than 20 minutes not matter when I go. The hours for the post office boxes are too limited. I normally have to wait 30 minutes to find a hold for someone elses mail, or just to buy stamps because it is so old they do not have any stamp machines in the lobby. read more
