Stopped by after printing my shipping label using the QR code from eBay, price is allegedly the best value with their discount but seems average. I just needed to drop off my package and get a receipt. The line moved at a decent pace, so the process was quick and easy. The USPS employee provided good customer service and made the drop-off smooth. read more

Update 4/28/2025: Dismal service. Long slow line. I needed to send a package. To save time, I grabbed a large paper envelope from the back wall before getting in line. Then the employee called me up and told me to put the envelope back and grab the "burble" something. She has a thick accent, so I politely asked her to repeat. She became annoyed and repeated in the same accent. I searched the back wall and couldn't find a large-enough bubble envelope, but found bubble wrap. I returned paper envelope on the wall and grabbed the bubble wrap. Then the employee told me 'No, get the 'burble' [something].' Her accent is still thick. I asked her to repeat again, but she only repeated in her thick accent while getting increasingly annoyed. I returned the bubble wrap on the wall and grabbed the largest bubble envelope available, which was too small to fit my item. She asked "There isn't a larger one back there? Go ahead and grab the envelope you had earlier. Sorry about that." I went to the back wall a FOURTH time to grab the large paper envelope I had in the first place, then she finally helped me through the mailing process. When she had me check the destination address, she gave a slight look-up and scoff as if I'm the rude one and she's being mistreated, when sensibly I should be the one doing it to her. Nonetheless, I remained cordial and polite against her rude service. She's the one who inconvenienced me THRICE. Highly inconvenient experience. Waste of my time. Also expensive. Cost me $12.34 to mail something that should've cost around $5. Next time I'll try somewhere else like UPS. Would be nice if they had one more window open. Four associates instead of three helping the customers. The shop layout should keep a set of all the equipment (envelopes and boxes) behind the employee counter for easy employee access. That way, customers don't have to first guess blindly, wait in line, then get inconvenienced twice or thrice by the impatient staff. Staff can more efficiently serve clientele this way. They need more staff support. There was a package stuck in the drop off bin that I and other patrons tried to finish pushing through, and there was absolutely no one who we could even notify that there was now a package blocking their drop off. People are as happy as they decide to be and often would get a lot farther with a little more patience. Not sure why Postal workers are so historically underrated nor the low rating for this establishment? This is my neighborhood post office; the nearest branch. Having lived here for over a decade, this location has never been a disappointment. I choose to go right after they open or mid-afternoon. There is minimal to zero wait, multiple employees present and always ready to assist me. Whatever I've needed has always been in stock, information given always accurate and whatever I've sent arrives on time in pristine condition. For me, a solid five stars! read more

I have been going to this post office since it opened decades ago. That's why I have more check ins on Yelp on here than anyone else. Service has always been excellent.. And I have had a PO Box here for almost 40 years. Only complaint. Poorly maintained exterior. Trash is often a mess. And landscaping is usually a total disaster. If I could give ZERO stars to this worthless post office I would. NO ONE who works there has any customer service skills. They seem to all hate their jobs. On my first visit the lady labeled my priority mail box incorrectly. The second visit, an even more inept and rude woman over charged me by $80+. The second over charged package was never received by my daughter at college, even though the first package made it there just fine, once the correct label was created. The second package was returned to me in horrible condition. See photo. Fragile was written all over the box, but disregarded as you can see by the photo. When I brought this package to the post office, to receive a refund, per instructions on the usps website, I was met with no apology for the condition the package was in, as well as a "Nope, you can only get a refund online". She scribbled the website down on paper and that was it. She could have cared less. For anyone reading this review, take your packages to UPS. I paid half the price and was VERY well taken care of by the employees who love their jobs and the customers. read more

If only I can give this place zero star. It is the worst post office I've ever been to. Their parking sucks. There is always a block on the entrance because dummies clearly don't know how to drive and allow for people to past. I had pre-labeled priority mail that just would not scan at their kiosks. I end up having to wait in a line probably terrible as the DMV. So I mentioned it to them, they said "oh it's been like that?" Um hello, there's three kiosks and you don't want to fix the glitch? DO NOT COME HERE FOR PASSPORT SERVICES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! I'm going to agree with the majority of reviewers here and say that this is not the place to go to send packages or get a passport. I scheduled an appointment for a passport and the person was on the lunch break at the time of my appointment. I waited about 1 hour before I received help. I don't have much to say about the price of the service since it's set so I will skip on reviewing that. As for service, it was below average. When going through the passport process it was rushed. I am so pissed at myself for not checking the reviews beforehand. Don't make the same mistake as me and trust these employees. They are terrible at their job and so unprofessional. read more

Honestly, I get that frustration with the Post Office but I personally had a decent time here. LOCATION & PARKING // Located on Murphy Ave on between Alton Pkwy and Main St, this place isn't too hard to find. There are a decent amount of parking spots. However, there is only one entrance and one exist so things can get backed up if one car just stops in the middle of the lot (..... this definitely happened many times), it can stop traffic. I would say though that if you can't find parking, just wait 10 seconds because there's quite a nice flow going so people come and go. SERVICE // I went the weekend before Christmas and waited about 10 minutes to send my package off. It was not as bad as I thought and everything went super smoothly. The staff members were all masked and helpful and it was easy for me to get what I needed done. OVERALL // 3.5 stars I mean, it was nothing extraordinary but my experience here was fine, which was a nice surprise considering these places can be such a mess! I had a way better experience here than I have had at other locations. read more

Came in here to find my PO Box locked even though the bill is set-up on auto pay. Ended up getting into a Curb Your Enthusiasm-esque argument with two of the soulless harpies that work here when they wanted to impound my Driver's License for 20 min to "verify my identity" in the backroom after asking for it back. Going to the US post office can certainly be a tough experience, especially if you expect customer service and guidance on your mailing matters. As I stood in line, a gentleman receiving help was advised that he would need to fill out a customs form in order to mail an envelope with photos. It seemed trivial, but the associate gave fair warning to the customer that undeclared photos have a tendency to be stopped at customs and returned to sender. These type of warnings are good, as the average person would not necessarily have known what items they would need to declare before mailing. The service was not necessarily fast or excellent, but it was straight to the point and the associates behind the counter are certainly willing to provide help. However, tasks such as looking for a package, helping customers fill out entire forms, and explaining certain mail rules do take up a good chunk of time and should be a main consideration when visiting any post office. I personally had a good experience at this location as my package required signature, and they were able to quickly find my package to hand off to me. I had to ding a star off though because it really does feel like you wait in line forever and there was also a lack of paper mailing boxes for priority mail in the front desk area. read more

While there was a significant line for the services, I was able to quickly use the self-service postage dispenser with no problem, and no wait. It was straight forward to use. I bought first class postage for both US and Canada, used my credit card and received a receipt. It took me 5 mins. If you don't need any special postage needs there are several self-service dispensers at the Murphy location. One is conveniently located just inside the building and available when the post office us closed for all other services. read more

I pay hundreds of dollars/year to rent a P.O. Box here but the post office closes at 5pm during weekdays. How can people who work from 9-5 ever get their mail on weekdays when your open hours are so short? At least cut your box rental fees for the inconvenience of forcing customers to retrieve their mail only on Saturday mornings once/week. read more

They never answer their phone. A useless office, tape on their outside mail drop boxes was cut off, mail lost forever.

Three stars. The good: Plenty of parking, plenty of shipping supplies (both free and paid). They have a passport window. Tons of PO Boxes Employees are friendly. The bad: Understaffed. Tuesday afternoon and there's only two clerks working the line. There's four counters - and only two are filled. There's a line forming. Can the supervisor chilling in the back or someone else come up and help the line? While not at the fault of the employees here - a lot of the customers are clueless when it comes to filling out the right forms. One lady walked up to the counter and didn't have either the TO or FROM part filled out for her package. Then she insisted that the clerk allow her to wait in the counter while she filled it out - despite the clerk pointing out that there is a line forming and if the lady would step aside, the clerk will help her as soon as she's done with her forms. I do like that the clerks are willing to call out customers who waste the time of everyone else in line when they come up ill-prepared. It's one thing to not know which form to fill out - but it's another when you are given the form, told to step aside to fill it out but refuse. It's tucked in a industrial/business area, so not as much foot traffic as other locations, but the understaffed issues and clueless customers really makes the wait time atrocious at times. read more

This is 5 stars specifically for Stephine! (Sorry if i misspelled.) I have high anxiety and when she gave me the certfied slip to fill out, she also noticed how hard of a time i was having writing the addresses. My hands shake when I'm anxious and the documents I was sending out are for a court case that makes me especially anxious. She went to her manager to see if she could come out and help me. She came out with scissors and tape and took over. An actual saint. At a time when people in general seem to be ditching the effort to perform human kindness. I just got back to work, so still anxious, but being able to give this awesome person a solid shotout to thank her for making my day is helping overcome this round of anxiety. So if you end up at her register, DO NOT BE AN INCONSIDERATE JERK! You never know what someone else is going through. And it could likely be worse than whatever you are. read more
