I live in Summerlin and can't tell you how many times my mail was delivered to the wrong house or I received someone else's mail. I've complained numerous times and told either the person delivering was new or they would speak to the carrier. Unfortunately it's still happening. Also there was an incident when my mail was on a vacation hold and when I went to pick it up, I was informed that the carrier was delivering it even though I said I would. That was a wasted trip and an extremely long line (which there always is) that I had to wait in to be told that. read more

I was having issues getting my mail and they totally helped me out by sending someone to deliver my item to my door. The customer service was spectacular and the response was almost immediate. The staff here is totally unorganized. We had an appointment to pick up a passport and showed up 5 minutes early. We were told that the passport person was running 30 minutes behind and to go wait in our car and they would call us. They called 40 minutes later telling us we could go in. When we tried to go in we were told that we were late for our 2:45 appointment! If they were to operate this as a real business they would be out of business. read more

Not sure why this place has such low reviews but it was a quick reliable experience for me. Came in around 10:30 to ship a package out to Cali and I was outta there within 5 mins! Tried to mail a package and they told me to us the kiosk- when I tried it wouldn't take the address so I stood back in line only to be greeted by a very rude lady- I asked for a label to write the address since she wouldn't print one- the box had clear tape and the marker she handed me wouldn't write- she said well try and just have to wait for it to dry?? What a joke the US Postal service is out here in NV. We never had any issues in Pa with US Postal service delivers. We moved out here and letters, cards, etc. disappear when being sent out to their destination and in the last 4 months our mail has been opened and looked through for gift cards & $ in any envelope that looks like a Bday or holiday card. I went in to get some information for obtaining a passport today around 1:00 pm-- only needed forms & a couple of quick questions. There was another person being waited on so I sat down at the door entrance and patiently waited. After twenty minutes still waiting when another person showed up. About ten minutes later the customer in the office left and I stood up to ask my questions when the late arriving person pushed ahead of me and the attendant accepted them in without even acknowledging my presents. The other person obviously thought they were "entitled" by their actions, and the attendant was totally lacking in the slightest amount of customer service. They hung up on my calls all day, for those of us who do work regular hours, it's impossible to get to the post office, that's what calling the office should be for and for 20+ calls today they hung up. holidays or not, that is PISS POOR! Not to mention my USPS delivery driver marked my package as needing a signature and when I talked to the sender, it did not. And then has the audacity to not abide by the resolver date that I submitted once I found out why my package was not at my door. Amazing post office 89134. Summerlin Las Vegas best post office experience. All the managers and staff are extremely polite and helpful. I run an Ebay Sunglasses business and do probably 7 drop offs a week so I know a good post office set up when I use one!! I actually drive for a few more miles than I need to use this great post office so that should tell you all you need to know. I went there to get my kids passports processed since it has to be done in person. First, no one would answer the phone to the number listed online to answer vital questions ahead of time. Second, the staff were rude and informative and third, they will not accept any walk ins and there is a minimum two month wait and no guidance on how to ensure you get an appointment. I ended up going to the library instead and they answered their phones, super friendly and speedy process. No wonder usps has the worst reputation! read more

Jerelle went out of his way to help me ship an international package, including trying different boxes, helping with packaging; spending 20 minutes helping me find the best price for international shipping. With the exception of Christmas, this Post Office is a great location to get your mail out because there are rarely any long lines like the ones you find at the other locations in Vegas. It's also very convenient for me as I workout next door at the 24 Hour Fitness. The people here are very friendly and it's a pretty relaxed environment. Will I return? You bet. read more

Clean and organized post office in a good area. They keep a kiosk in the lobby that you can use really late to send letters and packages (and during the day, as well). They have postal boxes you can rent. The lines can be long sometimes, and they have that annoying habit of having a perfectly able-bodied postal employee go down the line with a notebook asking people what they plan to do there (useless!), but they usually are fairly competent and caring. You could do a lot worse. read more

The location is nice, so physical and geographical wise I gave a better review. Postal work is the same everywhere so you can't really blame them for long lines or speed of service. They service a very large area so that doesn't help matters any. However, the phone number for them rings busy instead of having voicemail which is very annoying. This review is long overdue... I rarely make visits to the post office, that was until my son went off to college last year. The Summerlin Post Office is closest to my house, so that's where I went dreading the image of a long line, and subpar customer service. Now, I've been to this post office many, many years ago and if my memory serves me correctly, it was just like every other experience I had at any other post office, so there must have been some major management changes. My first care package shipment experience last year was so pleasant. Had to wait in line but I didn't mind. Each agent was busy working at their station assisting a customer. When it was my turn, my agent called me over and fretted me with a smile. A smile!! I left thinking how lucky I was THIS TIME. Again, I had a package to ship and I wasn't too thrilled to make a run to the post office, but the experience was just as nice as the first. Greetings and smiles! This was two times in a row, hmmm...What's going on? Is there someone in charge who knows what they're doing? Hiring, training, motivating and retaining the right employees and actually focusing on customer service as well? At the USPS Office where I would've least expected of all places. Ok, I was just there yesterday to drop off a prepaid package and the agent caught me before I stepped into line. He had a remote desk and handheld and was currently helping another customer when he greeted me and asked if I was just dropping off a package? "Yes, I am," I replied as I returned the smile. He told me I could just leave it in the bin next to his desk with all the other packages in it, and told me to have a nice day and continued to finish up with the customer he had. I am fully convinced now that this isn't just some dumb luck on my part. It is consistency on theirs! Excellent customer service! Whoever is running that branch knows how to lead and manage a tight ship! Kudos to them and every hard working personnel there! I went in today to renew my passport, not knowing that I needed to make an appointment. When I got to the regular attendant, he alerted me as such and suggested that I wait in line for the actual passport renewal attendant saying that there's an outside chance that I might still be able to get in if there was a missed appointment. While in line I was assisted by three separate personnel, and observed that three other patrons were also successfully helped while in line. Very attentive. Once I got into the office, I was helped with superior service and awesome kindness. This is the best post office experience that I have had in my memory. Thank you so much! My key broke off in my mailbox so I ordered a new lock. It cost me $40.00. After 13 days, my lock has been replaced however they don't have the key. Everyday I go to the Post Office to see if my new key there. Also I put a hold on my mail twice which has been removed by an employee. My mail has probably been sent back to the sender by now. read more

This post office turned my life into a living hell for three weeks. Half the fault wasn't theirs, and due to the management company from the rental house I moved to, but the other half certainly was. I had no access to my mail for three weeks, starting beginning of January, when tax info is coming in along with bills. I had filled out the online change of address form, and even paid the $1.00 for the pleasure of doing so. I noticed later that the geniuses actually listed my forwarding date a month EARLIER than the date I filed it. Nobody's looking???? What followed was a series of trips to the branch, waiting in line at the pickup window, once as long as 45 minutes (with no seat in sight), so many times to correct the problem that I told them they were going to have to bring in a bed and a coffee pot for me. Most of the time I was dealing with the same clerk there. People in line would complain about her rudeness, which I did observe several times. With me she was sometimes nice and sometimes extremely rude. So then I filled out another form to hold my mail, intending to pick it up. They couldn't even get that right. Instead, they delivered it to my curbside mailbox, and that's where the management company enters into the picture. I'll leave out the sordid details, but those geniuses never gave me a key to the LOCKED mailbox. (This is not a cluster box that the P.O. is responsible for). For three weeks I was getting daily emails from the Post Office showing pictures of what was in that box (that they should have been holding), through their Informed Delivery service, but I couldn't get into the box. Not until I called a locksmith and paid over $100 to have the lock drilled out and replaced, at my expense. The fact that it's not being reimbursed is not a reflection of the post office, but all the other screw-ups were. It's finally resolved, and I can go back to happily getting and paying my bills. :) But the stress was unbearable. read more

When I first moved to Las Vegas, I used to avoid his place when possible because the lines were so huge. Today, I made a quick stop to drop of some mail, and I was surprised to see that there was almost no line even though people would be in the Christmas mailing rush. Since most post offices now have self serve package weighing a buying postage, the lines have shrunk. Still, I'd rather print postage at home and avoid the PO altogether. read more

The worst service ever. A lady named Patricia was hunted down by her manager when she wasn't serving at the front. I was the there to pick up my mail. She looked upset when she was called out that she wasn't at the front desk serving. As I approached her and request to pick up my mail. She went on and scolded me for not picking up my mail from my mail box. The lack of compassion is unbelievable! She doesn't know my struggle for not able to pick up my mail from my mail box for days. Just dropped in here to mail a couple letters, thinking they might go out quicker at a post office. The Summerlin Post Office seems to cover a large area in greater Las Vegas. Retail activities might not be their highest priority as there was a line inside of about fifty people. Many had packages to mail . This was Monday afternoon at 4:45 PM. I did not see anyone using the kiosk to mail their package. That's often the fastest way if the mailing is straight forward. The manager should get out of her office to show customers how easy it is to use a kiosk and to answer questions. Maybe try another time? Learn how to so most prep at home or office with your computer or office. Then finish up in a few minutes at a kiosk,, if even necessary. read more

Yeah, I know. It's a US Post Office, and what can you possibly expect. However! Their enduring incompetence has now cost me in mail that I've paid for and/or was otherwise important. Because of their inability to manage simple things like an address change, it has been - literally - one year and three months since I have NOT been getting mail. I've been in there several times, have waited in total over six hours, have been on the phone nearly a dozen times and the answer is always the same: Yes, we have taken care of it. Thank you for coming in. In addition, I've seen them actually kick people out of the facility AFTER they were in before closing at 5P. I've also seen people disappear into the back room for more than 20 minutes "looking" for a package. I've been told one thing while waiting in line and getting a different story when I get to the counter. This post office is so poorly managed. There's always lines for the window as well as the pick-up only window. The staff doesn't care that people have to wait and wast their life in line. If you're carrier breaks off their key in your set of boxes be prepared not to get mail for several weeks to months. Simply unbelievable they can't get a lock replaced in a timely manner.
