It's disappointing to write such a negative review because of one incapable windiw clerk (Angela) So rude, unprofessional and discourtias. Unwilling to assit with properly addressing Passport envelopes (renewing) and answering the most simple of questions. This type of service shouldn't be an acceptable way in treating the very people that fund the USPS. This type of behavior has wouldn't be tolerated in the private sector. If you're a resident getting your mail from here, be very proactive when it comes to mail your expecting. We get other people's mail on a regular basis and get it to correct person. Something must be done to improve letter carriers accuracy in delivering mail and packages. When calling the branch, it rings unanswered so long it disconnects. I want about to be ignored and called 14 times until someone answered. It seems our letter carrier delivered my package to the next street, same house number but 1 street up. Supposedly, hes going there to retrieve my package and deliver it to me. I'll believe it when I see it......still waiting! UPS and FedEx are much better alternatives for shipping packages. read more

Have been trying to reach them since 2:55pm today to let someone know their outside collection bins are stuffed. There are three of them and they were all full. You could reach in and pull mail out. I've called them multiple times for the past two hours and have yet to be able to reach them. Totally ridiculous, I can see why there are going down the tubes when they aren't even able to answer their phones. Even tried calling some of the other branches to see if I could reach anyone to have them relay a message and I got the same thing...you get a recording that you're being transferred to the operator, then it rings about 20 times and you get disconnected. Had absolutely the worst experience twice in span of last two weeks - first with receiving birthday cards and envelopes - one gift was lost and another was art and it was all in wrinkles. Thank you USPS. Second one was ordering replacement key for cluster box. Kevin was rude and dismissed two voting cards and house title as a valid proof for ordering (and it's on top of drivers license with the address). I had to bring the whole mortgage package. Kevin also said that voting cards are not valid as it has to be filled in spite the fact that it's typed by Vote Ballot Commitee (Non filled area has a note that it needs to be filled if you are changing addresses). It's dangerous when mail post workers are making judgement that vote cards are not valid document even prior to election based on inability to read English or just plain personal attitude. Service was terrible. On another hand, keys I received yesterday are working great. These location has hit and miss workers as far as the attitude concern. Some are amazing and some are plain bad. And we are actually paying for EVERY service we are receiving there. They are not distributing freebies for children party. read more

Giving this place 1-STAR only because of Kevin. I have never had a problem with this place, staff I have dealt with have all been pleasant until my experience with this guy. My daughters, being first time passport applicants and as immigrants, are supposed to turn in their green cards (per application instructions). During my appointment, I asked Kevin 2 or 3 times if he needed my girls' green cards. He said that he DOES NOT need them and that the other documents he got from me were sufficient enough. Kevin instructed me and my wife to sign for the girls since they are minors (16 and 17) ! I paid close to $600 (SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS) for EXPEDITED SERVICE for my 2 daughters so we could received the passports in 8 days. After a week, instead of getting the passports from the mail, what I got was a letter from Department of State (?) that they needed the green cards! The letter also noted that since the girls are 16 and 17 yo, they may legally sign their application forms (contrary to what Kevin told us). So my wife had to reschedule an appt. Earliest available was about a week even though my wife told the appt lady that it was not our fault why we were in this situation. We just wanted this done and over with. My next review for this post office would be 5 STARS because of the GREAT SERVICE I got from another staff named ALBA who understood my situation. :) (when I came back for the second appointment). read more

I work at a bank walking distance to this post office. We have the same letter carrier every single day. Except when we don't have any mail, he decides to take it upon himself to scan our packages as delivered when they NEVER were. Ot can be anywhere from 1 day-3 weeks before he decides to actually bring our packages and mail. It is a CONSTANT battle with this post office to have our packages delivered. We are a bank! We need our mail and packages to be delivered WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL BE AND WHEN THEY SAY THEY HAVE BEEN! He is the LAZIEST mail carrier I have ever seen. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

If I could give minus stars I would. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at any establishment anywhere in the world. Today I ran into the post office on Spring Gate in Summerlin literally at 5:00 and 1 second following another woman that was 1 second ahead of me through the entrance. The woman usps worker told me I had to leave that only the woman one second ahead of me could come in. That I arrived too late. I have come to this location many times and almost every time experience rude arrogant attitudes and the service is horrible. Needless to say ( not related to this specific location) USPS has lost two recent packages I have sent and can't provide any tracking information once a package is lost somewhere in the process. I only use USPS when absolutely no other choice is available. This outfit needs to be privatized. HORRIBLE customer service!!! Was inside this post office BEFORE THEY CLOSED. I stopped to help a customer using the self serve kiosk who was having trouble. After helping her, I went to the counter to mail my package. When I got to the counter an employee named ALBA said "were closed'. I said I just had a quick question about the kiosk. She said "comeback tomorrow and we'll help you." I said "you can't answer a quick question?". She then said "were closed, come back tomorrow. End of discussion!" Acted like an absolute jerk!! I come here everyday. I rarely wait in the line since it can be long and I have my own digital scale at home and can print my postage there. I ship packages to customers all over the world and would go crazy of I had to wait in line and deal with the workers here. I like that I can track my packages to find out where they are and when they arrive and get email updates about the delivery status too. The kiosk is nice too because it can be accessed 24 hrs. There is plenty of parking and drop boxes outside with pick up times on them. Don't be a tool and bring your package in thinking you can ask them to tape it for you. They do have tape for sale but please... If you know you need to mail something... Have it ready when you come in. So I got home from work and had a postage due notice on my door so I headed here to see what was up. When it was my turn and I gave the lady my card she pointed at me and said "you! we are on to you and what your doing!" So Asked her what the deal was and appearantly some other dude has been mailing car parts that had gas in them and sending them at the wrong rate. The lady tells me that 5 of the packages were smelly and leaking oil. The only problem is I haven't mailed any car parts so it could't be me. After looking into it the lady tells me "oh no that wasn't you that was someone else and one of your boxes was with that persons" and never once said she was sorry. The next day when I needed to mail a package I took it to Fedex! With the USPS hurting like they are you would think they would not chase customers to the competition. The employees here are knowledgeable and polite. The lines get super long in the mornings, around noon, and after people get off of work. Expect to wait 20+ minutes if you happen to come at these times. I try to use the Automated Postal Center (APC) when I can and with that, I'm usually out within 5 minutes. I have never had a bad experience with it. Also, when my sister had her three kids' passports done here, they were completely finished in less than two weeks! Woohoo! I'm not surprised that this PO has the low rating it does. They should just be closed down for good, or the corporate office should come in and properly train their employees. Today I took my disabled daughter in to get her passport processed. We had an appointment, and showed up 10 minutes before our scheduled time. After waiting outside for 20 minutes past our appointment while the passport clerk processed 3 people, we finally had our turn. I had all documents needed. Including my husband's death certificate and passport photos. The only thing I had done wrong, was fill out the form with blue ink instead of black ink. Apparently this error was so egregious that the clerk working at the passport window took offense and began to tell me that I'd made an error, and then said 'I don't have time for you!' I apologized and said 'I can fill out the form in black ink. I'll be quick.' She refused to give me a new form and told me again that she didn't have time to deal with us. My reply 'But I have an appointment. And I've been waiting outside for 20 minutes while you helped those other people. I don't understand.' The clerk got immediately irate and began to tell me that it was HER BREAK and how my mistake wasn't going to cost her from eating. I asked her if I could simply have another form and fill it out quickly, something that wouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. Considering that I had already waited patiently outside with my disabled daughter for 30 minutes, while she politely handled the three people in front of us, I didn't see how another 5 minutes would hurt. She got even more irate and told me "NO! This is your mistake! You're only thinking about you, and so I'm going to think about ME! I need to eat!" All the while, during her hunger rant, I'm wondering...gee, I wonder if I have a granola bar in my purse for her? Maybe a snickers would be helpful right now? But I didn't want to stop and look for one as the clerk's time was obviously not to be wasted on the redoing of a form, much less the finding of a snickers in my purse. In the end, I took our forms, including the offensive blue inked one and left. We didn't get the passport as expected due to this woman's hangry behavior. As we left my daughter asked me to never bring her back to the scary lady again (long brown hair, and Latin accent FYI), Trust me, we won't. My advice? Go elsewhere. Getting chewed out by the scary post office passport lady isn't worth it. Or at the very least, bring a snickers to throw in her mouth as she opens it wide to yell at you. read more

In the two years that I used this Post Office since moving to the area I can recall just one time where I had an interaction with a pleasant employee. The other times I've walked out thinking why the F did I give this location another chance. Rude, unpleasant, unfriendly. Why bother coming to work at all?!? Add to that if you ever use the self-serve machine it should come with a warning that it takes up to five minutes to spit out your postage. I can't imagine how many people have lost money using it because the delay is so long that you think it's broken. Lesson learned. I will not be using this office ever again. read more

I always have a problem with one of the workers EVERY TIME she "helps" me. Please tell me, why when you have a sign that already states you are short employees today, do you have one employee behind the counter and one handing out those stupid papers that eliminate any time of personable relationship with whoever checks you out. Does the postal employee behind the counter really need a piece of paper that says stamps or tape??? Why don't you keep both of the workers behind the counter so that there isn't a line?! ALSO, please lady, you see me, I'm VERY VERY pregnant, I just want to drop a box off. I would put it through your little chute if it was big enough. It already has the postage and everything, I ask you nicely to just put some tape on the label because I noticed it peeling off, but you want me to wait in your 30 minute line to hand a box to the lady on the other side of the counter so she can stick some tape on the corners of my label?!?! No, let me hand you a piece of paper on it that says tape and you can wait in line. Yes because I want to wait 30 minutes in line for something that just needed to be dropped off. The other women in there always just take packages to help the line go by quicker, but not this lady. Goal! This post office takes longer to get through than the actual DMV. Just save yourself the time and fly your package to where it needs to go, it'll be quicker than stopping by this post office with their rude servicing. And not all of the ladies are rude, I've had good experiences with the other ladies, it's just the one lady in specific. read more

There are 3-4 ladies in the post office that are efficient, professional and keep the lines moving. Judith is super efficient and a pleasure to do business with --- but....... There are a few cranky old postal employees at the Summerlin post office that make no bones about calling you dumb or treating you like dog doooo because you don't know the entire USPS federal handbook by heart. Second big issue i have ---- no matter what form you fill out to have your mail held (online, in person, via the mail) ---- they RANDOMLY return some of the mail and hold others. ((and the clerks freely admit they don't know why some goes back)) There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. Two letters from the same location or company - one stays in hold, one goes back return to sender. It is like there is NO POLICY what so ever that is followed and they just wing it. (( I know this is not true --- but actions speak louder than words and I have about 50 examples of mail being returned to sender during my mail holds over the last year.)) One clerk (long black hair) told me that the USPS was NOT designed to hold mail. OK --- then why do they have a HOLD MAIL FORM ???? WTH. The 1/2 window package pick up area is inconsistent. Some times open, some times closed -- you get yelled at for going there first and get shoed away if you get in the regular line first ----- it is inconsistent and unprofessionally run. I don't go here if I don't have to -- but have ZERO options with package pick up w/ signature required --- I generally pack a lunch if I need to go ---- cuz it is going to be 60-90 mins to get through that line. They are in desperate need of hands on management !!!!! And an under cover inspection visit from the post master general. IT IS APPALLING !!!!! Separate issue ----- be very careful in parking lot. I get cut off in the cross walk at least once a visit. The cross walk is right in line with the handicap parking and drivers coming whipping in there to get the handicap spots with NO REGARD what so ever for the cross walk. VERY POOR PUBLIC PLANNING layout of the parking lot. read more

Wow, this place isn't as bad as I expected. I had to pick up a certified letter at this location since no one was home to sign for it. I also had to send a package to my mom in California. Looking at the reviews, I was prepared for a long wait. I walked in an hour before closing (4 pm) on a Friday and there was probably 6 people in front me. The line moved surprisingly fast. Kevin, the employee who helped me, was friendly. He moved quickly and didn't look look miserable being there. He actually smiled!! I was probably in and out within 15 minutes. So folks, I suggest coming in right before closing so that they hurry up and get you out of there. read more

I have to give it 3 stars because whenever I go the workers are not friendly and they are usually out of flat rate boxes. If I have to ask for help with something they act like I am bothering them. It is close by so that is the only reason I go there. They do have a kiosk for shipping which is nice. I generally do most everything at the kiosk. I can go at 2 am and it is there to use. Not a fan of government businesses, so was not looking forward to getting my passport. Went to this location this morning, had an appointment at 9:45. Walked in Kevin behind counter says Hi, can I help you? Explain I have an appointment and he says just have a seat and Patty will be with you shortly. Then I proceeded to watch him greet everyone cheerfully and sincerely. What great customer service he has. Patty my passport agent was just as pleasant and nice. This post office has carriers that lie! They report that my Amazon package is undeliverable as address, but at the same time, the carrier leaves a copied 4x4 piece of white paper in my mailbox telling me to Pick Up At Post Office. They use a paper cutter or scissors to write that message with a black Sharpie using no tracking number in my mailbox because they are too lazy to come to my apartment. They marked the shipment to return to Amazon on their website because the address is wrong! How could the address be wrong if they put this piece of paper in my mailbox? I have a reference number for a case with this post office and they have contacted me about my situation using email that I gave to their 800 number, but now before this can be resolved, they show that this tracking number has been sent back to Amazon. Tell Amazon you do not want them to use the USPS and they will mark it as least desired by customer. read more

Otherwise, I usually go to another location cause i know i won't be waiting in line forever. I was looking for the large flat rate boxes once and I couldn't find any in the display area. I know the lines can be quite long but today I used the mobile post office that's occasionally at this particular post office. Some people think its a food truck but no the clerk inside does mostly the same transactions as a regular post office sell stamps;mail any letter,or send out a package. Also does money orders;and has some packaging supplies (tape,small boxes;bubble envelopes;etc) that's for sale. The guy I dealt with was Fred he has outstanding customer service skills;and very much faster than the other people working inside the building. She also at one point went behind the counter and I realized what? You could have been behind there the whole time doing work instead of wasting Time out here being useless! I think for a government run situation this is no surprise at all but seriously I think they could hire more competent people. Passport service- there are a no sign that says not on Monday- there is no sign that says appointment only- there is no sign that says leave 15 minutes to go through paperwork- and if you work with 'Kevin' even the other postal workers said to me, he is a "Smart-Ass" - their words not mine. He doubted the size of my picture- even though it was taken ...At the post office. He even pulled out his handy stencil to check- even though he was just about as stand offish as a polite person could be. He didn't even know how to use his template- he had a co-worker double check. It was the correct size. He made fun of me when I came in, wasn't apologetic, knew he couldn't help, but wasted ten minutes of my time regardless. He doubted the other paperwork I had, even though the state department already confirmed its receipt. Why isn't this system online? Do yourself a favor, go to a different location. You'e better off going to a different location. I recently purchased a house and came to my nearest post office to have a key made for my mailbox. I went on a Friday and they asked me to come back Monday and gave me a number to call first to make sure it is made on time. Called Monday, not ready. Called Wednesday, not ready. Decided to stop in Thursday and it was STILL NOT READY. I left Sheila with my number to call me once it was made which ended up being later that day. I went in Friday and they then gave me an issue for me not having my name on the paper. To me it is just a big disorganized mess. read more
