Great and fast happy clerks. They take a lot of crap from people that come in and are totally unprepared but they get the job done. The line gets long at times but they move quick and have a great system to weave you back in between transactions when you need more time or to make changes. There's no denying that the USPS falls right under the DMV on a list of the least pleasant places to visit (for some people). I always have a good experience at this particular location. This past week, I went in to the office for some reassurance about renewing a passport. I wanted to make sure the papers were filled out properly, that the check was correct, and I wanted it certified. I didn't think I would be assisted because there are specific appointments for passport applications, but on the contrary - Kia helped me the whole way through. She attentively listened to my concerns, helped me fill out required paperwork, and reassured me. I appreciate her service and hope to work with her again! There was also minimal waiting. read more

Came in with a return package that was ripped open and the return label on my phone . I first asked Zora if my QR code could be scanned at the counter to which she said yes. Then immediately after said "it can't be sent like that tho" which was more than obvious and i raised my hands in confusion and I'm sure the confusion also showed on my face. Before even directing me to where i can get an envelope to put my items in she says "idk what all of that was for but you can buy an envelope from right there" and points behind me. To which i turned around and explained to her that she could've started by telling me where to find an envelope instead of assuming i knew where to get one and it would've been a better customer service exchange. She then responded by saying "yea , and you can go to another agent " and walked to the back . I had no clue USPS allowed someone to pick and choose who the can service and speak to that way .She then left it to the only other agent in the office to assist the line that grew to about five people. Shanel , was very helpful and polite . I genuinely appreciate her kindness .. Zora needs a reality check. Maybe it's the eyebrows or working on a Saturday but either way , that's not my problem. I love the USPS. I had a P.O. Box in NYC for more than 20 years, and I now I have a P.O. Box at the Garside USPS here in Las Vegas. In June, I bought around $135 worth of stamps, which I sent as gifts to my relatives to help Save the Post Office. I think this important Government Institution is being treated shabbily by the current administration. I very much like Garside USPS, but have several complaints. 1. They lost a package of mine, which the tracking said was delivered to Garside on August 31, 2020. I went to the Garside USPS office, and showed the supervisor my tracking number. He looked around for 10 or so minutes. He came back and said it was lost and he was sorry. He said maybe it would turn up behind something somewhere. Not very reassuring. 2. In May, a postal delivery person at my 89102 residence sent back an important document to my accountant in NYC, saying I did not live at my residence. I called my accountant as to why I had not received the document, and he said it had been returned to him. I told him to please use my P.O. Box instead of the residence address at 1400 Valley View. His office had to resend it to me PRIORITY. I did receive it the second time they sent it. 3. My cousin sent a birthday card to me at my residence at 89102. I never got it. 4. I believe Garside USPS serves the 89102 area residences. Why are things getting lost? 5. I put in a very comprehensive Complaint today to the USPS regarding the above, and got a response which was innane. Supervisor Humberto Guadalupe responded that I had not included a tracking number, which it definitely had, and that he did not quite understand what my email said. My writing had been very clear and precise. I responded to him that he had obviously not read my email. 6. Finally, I went to Garside USPS on Columbus Day, forgetting there was no mail on that holiday. I checked my mailbox and was going through my mail. As I was doing so, one person after another came in, wondering why the Customer Service was closed. I said again and again that it was a holiday. Finally, just to be helpful, I wrote two signs saying it was Columbus Day, placing one in front of the office and the other at the package pickup. WHY hadn't the management placed any signs at all for the customers? The above problems need to be addressed, and now I need to find out WHO Mr. Guadalupe's supervisor is. read more

Take our out going mail to this Post Office approximately one to two times a week. Used the drive up mail box, get out of vehicle put in box, wipe down and make sure it goes to bottom. Last 5 outgoing items ALL Lost in transit! Not the first time, not the second time but the third time!! Guess I have learned a hard lesson, now late fees on ALL lost mail. DO NOT RECCOMEND. It's a post office. It is probably the hardest post office ON EARTH to find. Well, to be fair, I have been to many post offices here in the U.S. but not world-wide, so it's the hardest post office in the country to find. It is too small and covering too much geographical area, aside from the fact that it is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, so it has many challenges it must face serving so large of a customer base. I buy my own labels, discounted of course, online and package at home (or in the car in a pinch) and therefore don't deal with the line or the TINY counter for people to use to pack their parcels. There is no bin (too small for a bin to be out) for already-paid packages so you just leave it on the counter in the far right after walking through the third set of doors. Would it kill them to have some signage so you can see from Decatur or Oakey that a USPS office is here? Apparently it would. I must have driven around (and behind) and around some more this post office for over half an hour looking for it the first time I came here. It is pretty ridiculous. Went in to try to get a letter that was sent to my old address to try to catch it before it got sent back and the old man didn't want to help me or even try to look for me. I asked if he could just look and he told me no, but he went above and beyond to this white lady that was in front of me that was barley putting a change of address and she asked " do I have any mail forward yet"?when she just gave him the change of address and already told her she had to wait for COA and takes 10-14 business days but went and looked for her anyway and said " no mail". read more

It feels so cliché to say the Post Office is terrible and slow... BUT IT'S ABSOLUTELY TRUE HERE! Let me preface this first by saying the tall black man with glasses and the shorter woman are always pleasant and smiling which is nice. Aside from those 2 or 3 quality employees I feel like they hired from Opportunity Village. I was tracking a very important and expensive package from overseas. My usual mailman who I know by name said there was nothing for me. This is after I was at the post office trying to figure out where my package went. So bear in mind, this package had a tracking number and clearly printed address. They kept saying "A" Street but I kept telling me I'm on "B" Street and just check the tracking info. Guess what? The package was ALL CORRECT, but the Post Office just forgot to load it on a truck and made up every excuse imaginable. I was told it was out on the truck, it was still enroute, it was already being shipped back...meanwhile it was RIGHT THERE but they kept looking for the wrong freaking street!! I was there for 30+ minutes and admittedly got irritated and started cursing to myself. I saw a family behind me and immediately apologized because of their small son. The parents tell me don't worry about it, they've been standing there for pretty much this whole debacle and they actually complimented my patience! TLDR: a few exceptional employees, the rest are utterly useless...go elsewhere because they will lose your mail, lie about it and then blame YOU. read more

I had a really hard time finding this location but I guess if you know where you're going, you're already way ahead of me. This post office is located randomly down in a pretty empty parking lot. Once I got to the location, it was very busy. This place wasn't a good one to come to if you're in a rush but I had no other choice. I needed to overnight an envelope and after addressing the envelope and everything I was told it needed to be in a special box and I had to step out of line, write everything again and get back in line. The girl working was very nice and they obviously have a system but to have to step out of line and wait back again was a pain in the butt. I got it done, was late to work and water under the bridge except that they couldn't send the envelope when I needed it to be there. It seems that other services have better delivery times. I was willing to pay whatever I needed to in order to get send my check the next day but they just didn't have that option. Oh my gosh... the wait... the unbelievably long wait in line..... ahhhhhh!!!! However that's typical for a post office I guess. (?). The price of my PO box is higher at this location vs. North Buffalo and there has been a leaking hole in the ceiling with buckets cordoned off under it for the entire 6 years I've gone there. What the deal? It's actually more of a comical site after all these years. They tend to fail at utilizing the lockers for package delivery. I've had a business send me two large envelopes separately but at the same time. One went in a locker and the other up front where I had to go to customer service to retrieve. I'm currently waiting till after labor day to pick up two boxes that they could and should have put in the lockers instead of making me wait till they reopen to pick them up. However, E.J. Is so nice and professional that it's a real pleasure if I'm called to his window! He helps me with all my questions and is super friendly with everyone. He makes the wait worth it. I would really like to know how to make a complaint toward my mail person unless it's someone else I need to make a complaint about. My daughter's birthday card was open on one end and if it had cash inside of it instead of a check the cash would be gone. This kind of thing has happened before where her great-grandma would send her cash in the mail and it would be gone. Who is at fault? I hate to have to write this because this post office is my go to location. I sell things online and I am in this location EVERY month sometimes two or three times a month or more depending on my sales. I know most all of the front end workers because they've all helped me numerous times before. I also live down the street so this location is very convenient. Anyways, came here today to ship off one of my items I sold like I always do but instead got accused of stealing TAPE. I brought in some jeans unpackaged because I didn't feel like going to walmart to buy a mailing envelope. I brought in my own tape but took one of the envelopes they sell to package my item, in clear view, right in front of 3 workers, (two that have helped me before numerous times). This new guy, who I haven't seen before is standing almost directly behind me watching me. I noticed him staring and pacing behind me watching me and i'm confused at first. I honestly thought he was watching me just being a creep. I put MY TAPE back in my pocket once i'm finished with it and this employee watching from behind me and goes few steps away to one of the woman at the front and starts telling her something. I saw but continued to finish sealing up my package. I also noticed that the woman (who was told I was stealing by the man) tells the other guy at the cashier next to her what was going on, and I believe to ask about the tape if I didn't end up getting her. Finished sealing it up and walked over to ship my package, the guy at the stand/ cashier who has ALSO helped me numerous times says, "you ready?" and I said yes and walked over. First thing He says is, "And I saw you had some tape? Did you bring that with you?" I immediately took it out my pocket because i truly do not need to steal TAPE. I responded by saying, "Yes, I don't need to steal tape" He looked at it and saw it was a different color. The tape the post office sells is ALL BLUE and I believe it says, "ready ship" or "ready post", something like that. MY TAPE FROM WALMART has a GREEN label! To the guy who was watching me from so damn close, take a walk though your store and notice how everything you sell has the same blue label on it. If someone comes in with a green label tape, it's probably not from your store :) ALSO, you were so close to me watching my every move, you should have noticed the different color :) Will be finding a new location to go to because I do not like being accused of stealing, especially not a $2 TAPE. And I know this is not that big of the issue but it's the principle that matters. I would like to say EJ is amazing, he wasn't here today but he is the BEST employee here! I didn't have to stand in the line today. Thank goodness. Only dropped off an envelope in the mail drop. It doesn't seem to matter if it's Christmas time or just a random Wednesday, it's always busy here. I just try to use the automated machine where you can weigh your envelope or package yourself, then prints out your stamp for you. Same thing if you want to buy stamps. I don't think I'm very much with the times, I think you can do your postal services much easier now. Can't you get them to pick up your packages for you, if you use FedEx? Buy stamps online or at the checkout counter at your grocery store? I think I'll have to remember these methods next time. We're just creatures of habit, I guess. Try another branch, that's my suggestion. This location has more than they can handle. read more

I never give one star reviews but this post office sucks. They don't deliver my mail and I couldn't get any assistance online or via phone so I had to go in. Got the manager, who just disappeared to the back. Granted, I was a bit grouchy but this guy just disappeared. (Should not be in a supervisor position. I've been to this location a couple times and finally decided to leave a review. Not once have I ever received friendly customer service from this location. While I was waiting in line to drop off my package one of the clerks came out to lock the door with two minutes remaining before actual closing time. It was a little offputting to see that this individual was smirking and quite joyful to see people upset that were trying to drop things off. I understand sticking to closing times in order to maintain labor numbers. But for an employee to physically show how excited they are to upset a customer is very disappointing and unacceptable. And then for this employee to go back to the register and banter with a fellow employee about how those people should've gotten here two minutes sooner is just disgraceful. It's not fair to say that all postal workers are bitter employees but this location definitely reinforces the stereotype. I will say that United States Postal Service rates are definitely affordable. ONE HOUR! 4 clerks and very few customers, sometimes none or 1 yet they can't go back and help that poor guy in the back looking for pkg for customers? TOTALLY DISGUSTING. It's a shame just how horrible our postal service has become. It's no wonder they are losing business to Fed Ex and UPS. From management to staff, nobody knows what they are doing. A supervisor, had me waiting 3 weeks to get a key to my mailbox, that he supposedly put an order in for. I come back on the day it was supposed to be there for me to pick up and after waiting 40 minutes in line, I'm told they don't supply those keys where I live so I have to hire a locksmith. I was told said supervisor was supposed to take down my phone number with the order so they could contact when it arrived or if they had questions, which of course he didn't even after I asked him if he needed it for those exact reasons.
