Came in at 4:59pm today; couldn't get there any earlier. One clerk said it was 5:01, we're closed. Tried to explain to them that it was 5pm & they still had their doors open. By this time, another clerk now says it's 5:02. Cell phone showed it was still 5pm. Usually, there's a clerk at the door to close the doors at 5. We have numerous issues with this post office location. Multiple packages lost and no explanation at all! If we have a package coming we have to make sure we are at the mailbox when the carrier is there to make sure he/she doesn't put our package into somebody else's mailbox. I caught him putting our package in the wrong box before and his response was "my bad". Really??? That's your best response? I would never recommend having yo go i the this post office for any reason. The people there don't care! They get paid whether your mail and packages make it to you or not! read more

Based on looking at other people reviews of this place only makes it more of concrete proof of what happened to me. My package was supposed to be delivered on Sept 28th, package was not there. It kept saying the status was awaiting delivering scan. Long story short my family had to go there physically to pick up my package that was just sitting there. Called 6 times between the last two days only for them never to answer the phone. After the greeting telling me to stay on the line it just rings for a minute until I get the disconnected tone. Ridiculous when I have a missing package I dropped off there. The package destined for California updated the same day to say it was delivered, but to a PO box in Las Vegas. The shipping label had the correct information so I'm trying to locate my package before I lose my product and they money if my customer opts for a refund. Ridiculous lack of service. read more

Usually I can just drop my prepaid packages off without a hitch but today I'm in a rush and need to drop a package off prepaid for international and I'm told i need to wait in a line with people that have not paid for postage yet and only two tellers helping people at about a 10 minute per person clip. Gentleman working the express kiosk asks what I need and I'm told to wait in line in a very condescending manner where I reply I've never had to do this before on prepaid postage hence doing it via my computer and avoiding the lines altogether. I've never seen this gentleman before working here and don't appreciate his attitude, no issues at the UPS store where I will start taking my business. The location always has homeless panhandling outside which makes it also uncomfortable to drop packages at this particular location. read more

Passport service here is awesome! Shout out to the lady that worked Friday 3/27 at about 1 pm for getting through her long line in under an hour and being so helpful in answering all my questions beforehand since this was my first passport. For passport applications the postal service place directly across the street does great passport photos and copies and they are recommended by this post office. Thank you for making this process nice and easy:) By the way,this was the 4th post office I visited for passport service today and they were the only one that took walk-ins and were super friendly. read more

Extremely rude workers. The post office and mail carrier was the one who messed up delivering my mail and I had evidence and receipts to prove it, and was told I was asking them for too much and that I should just drive to the post office to get my mail because it's "not that hard." I guess asking them to do the only job they're there to do is too much for them to handle. Not to mention I'm disabled and we're in the middle of a pandemic. The U.S. Post Office located at 6210 N Jones Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89130-4001 NEVER answers their phone. When you call you get an automated message. Then it rings about 15 times before it hangs up and then you hear a busy signal. I have been trying to call them everyday since for the past 2 weeks. It is very frustrating and since I am out of state right now I cannot go there directly. How is it a business does not answer their phone? So, I decided to call a different Las Vegas post office and the same thing happened! Zero accountability! Our tax dollars at work folks! I usually never write bad reviews because I don't like to spread negative vibes BUT YOU ALL NEED TO KNOW THAT YOU MAY NEVER GET YOUR MAIL KEY. This is about one particular person not the entire staff here. The guy who is responsible for ordering keys for mailboxes (he's an older, larger man with an accent) has been very rude to my staff and I. Making it impossible to get the key I need to check my mail. It's been 6 weeks and I still don't have my key. When I call, he says he can't give me that information over the phone (The information being whether or not the key to my mailbox has arrived yet as if that's super top secret even after I've verified my identity) and Because I work 6 days a week 12 hours a day I don't have time to run back and forth. I sent my employee to get the key and the mail they've been holding and he refused to give it to him. Yet he refuses to tell me when I call, if it's there or not so that I can know if I need to make the time in my busy work schedule to go get, but Without confirmation it's a waste of time and for small business owners TIME IS MONEY. Horrible service. I believe he may be on a power trip or something? Don't know... it doesn't make sense. When I called to ask him why he couldn't give my employee the mail he hung up on me then started ignoring my calls. I have had so many problems with the post office just this last month. Let me count the reasons 1. I had a package to be delievered to my house. I got the notification that it was delivered and it was not there. a week later, found out that the package was left in the wrong box and a kind neighbor brought it over to us. 2. another package has been lost. I had to wait a week in order to just put in a request for them to look for the package. never been found, nor have I heard anything about it. 3. I went to the post office to deliver a care package. My friend received an empty box. I for sure sent stuff because I filled the box right at post office. 4. At work, the post office has decided to not deliver mail for a week. We have some construction in the front of the property with signage of how to get to the front desk. They claim it is unsafe because it deviates from the route to deliver to the side of the building instead of just being up front. read more

Everyone knows they hate going to the post office especially when it is the holidays but I have to say this was an unusual experience. Im the kinda of person who at the post office wants to limit all personal contact with any human being besides dropping off the package I'm trying to ship out or buying forever stamps (which you can now buy at other places beside the post office so i don't even come here for that anymore). But like I said Unusual Good experience here. Aftering seeing the 30+ person deep line on the day before X-Mas, I went to the self help weighing machine to pay for the flat rate boxes. After I thought I did everything right, I didn't know where to drop the box off. So I jumped to the front of the line and asked one of them employees Matt,and he said I paid for the wrong box amount. Thanks to him, instead of asking me to wait in the inexcusable line that is the post office, he came out from behind the counter and walked me through the steps and in actuality I OVERPAID for the box. Unfortunately, he couldn't give me a refund nor use the credit to buy anything but whatever, I avoided what could have been easily a 30min-1hour visit to the post office and my friend got her Bday package on time. Thanks to Matt, I spent a total of 7min in the post office on the day before Xmas. THANK YOU MATT!! 1) Tip- Pick up prepaid flat rate boxes and envelopes before and PAY FOR THEM AT HOME and then just drop them off at the post office 2) Use the self help machine to pay for letters and packages so you can avoid the bad customer service at the post office that we all usually experience (just like at the DMV) 3) Avoid standing in the line as little as possible because we all know how slow that line moves read more

Poor service and poorly trained supervisor Carlos. He didn't understand my problem and didn't care to resolve it, just passed me off to another worker who was busy counting out his drawer and he passed me over to another worker after I stood and waited for him specifically and could've been seen quicker if that's all that was gonna happen. The issue? I expected a package delivery on Oct 22, the scan said out for delivery and then "the system" saw I was starting forwarding the NEXT DAY OCT 23 and decided to direct the package Not be delivered on the 22nd (within an hour of when it would've been delivered by my local carrier!!) and instead treat it as a forwarded package which I couldn't get until November 3rd!! Then charged me an additional $8.80 for it being forwarded. When I explained this to Carlos, he initially tried to say it was just additional postage to be paid because the rates had changed and tried to blame the business I purchased from as not assigning correct postage. I re-explained that the business has a contract with the postal service so that couldn't be it. He then gave up trying to help me and gave the paper to his sales associate who said he could handle it and then continued to count out his drawer while a customer stood in front of him for another 15 minutes filling out forms after he paid for his services. When that person left, the guy turned to his coworker and asked him if he had done a return mail additional postage before, handed him the paper and told him what to do. So dumb. And meanwhile the issue of them incorrectly processing my mail meant nothing and was never addressed with anything more than a shrug. NEVER going here again, don't care how close they are to where I'm living. Plus it has a broken door that's boarded up which is super classy. read more

I promise any kind of government or state establishment ALWAYS has long lines and horrible customer service.. Terrible that it has to be that way but it's just facts! So I had to visit this location the other day because I needed to send something certified mail and of course once I walk in it's the line from hell.. What can I do but wait? Nothing so I went ahead and continued to be patient to only have to wait some additional time when it was my turn to be helped. Guess the guy needed a coffee break? Sheesh at least finish the line of people who've been waiting but then again not everybody has the kind of work ethics that I do.. But anyways the price for stamps has increased severely and I can't even remember the last time I needed to mail anything and lick a nasty stamp ha! read more

Anymore they are not worthy of a rating! Do to their poor quality of service a few years ago I signed up for the "informed mail delivery" offered on the USPS website. My mail gets scanned at the main post office on Sunset and I get a daily Email showing what to expect in my mailbox. In the first part of March this year over a span of a week I didn't get my: Car loan statement my credit card statement A retirement statement Letters from my parents My NV Energy bill What I did get is every piece of useless advertisement in catalog, flyer, and letter form. Oh, I also received a 10 day shut off notice from NV Energy 5 days late because apparently USPS never delivered my February bill either! Now the carrier can be bothered to shut my mailbox after opening it! In the past year, I've had to deal with them miss delivering mail to my home, having packages that would fit the box thrown in my backyard where I might not have found them if it hadn't been for the next day being garbage day! Letters and bills I drop off inside the post office taking almost 3 weeks to get from here to California or Arizona if they showed up at all! Again pieces of mail that have account numbers or personal information not making it to my mailbox! I've reported the missing mail filled out reports, and made complaints about the other stuff to the USPS website. I've been on the phone with a representative from the local office who insists that all USPS employees and contractors are "perfect angels "that do their jobs. Everytime she opened her mouth the pile of BS she was shoveling my way just got bigger! The local Post Master was rather useless as well as in he hasn't personally interacted with the public when he's requested. Instead, he sends you a boiler plate form letter consisting of more BS and no plans for action in an attempt to just pacify the complaintant. read more

A few minutes ago I stopped in to mail some last minute holiday packages, alongside the rest of the Las Vegas. Their shelves were rather bear, but I was able to find what I needed with no issue. As I mentioned, the line was long, however, the post office team was working quickly and effectively! Also, all the interactions I had with the personnel were friendly! Great team. This is the closest post office to my house. Staff is normally very nice but they do have an issue with the drive up box being coated with sticky goo so someone can rob the mail box. It's been going on for over a year. I personally had over $300 in merchandise stollen from the box and they did not reimburse me at all for the stolen items. I'm very cautious using the box and make sure it's working properly and goo free. But today it was freshly gooed. I brought my mail inside and let Jean know that it had happened again only for her to yell that they don't care, nothing they can do. So I said people are stealing mail and you can stop it by putting an out of order sign up but you won't??? She said "they just take the sign down". Seems like something should be done. Maybe a camera (real or fake) should be installed?? It's ridiculous that after a year it's STILL an issue and they truly don't care. read more

Got an email last night saying package was delivered to receptionist/ front desk @ 11:13am, but problem was we didn't open up shop until 1pm. The worst experience of my life! I ordered or thought I ordered a key (I lost my keys I'll never do that again) for my mail box (I live in an apartment complex and they told me to go to local post office and order new key). Long story short January 24 2019 I placed the order and paid $40 cash they said give us a week and bring your receipt to pick it up so a week went by I went in on a Thursday and asked to pick my key up. Well that didn't go right they told me that it was never ordered the lady had been out sick ( like you don't have a back up team ??!) so she told me she would order it and it would be ready in a week. The next week I waited till Saturday giving them and my self 2 extra days so I wouldn't be disappointed and sadly I was disappointed. Not only did my key not come in I had an email confirmation of them holding my mail to pick up on February 4th 2019. Well that didn't happen either they weren't holding my mail so they said they gave the postman a yellow letter to start holding my mail. I went back to the post office again on Saturday and still no damn key??!?! So I went back today after the supervisor I think named Carlos said call Monday morning 8:30 am he would help me.. so I called from 8:30-10am and no answer so I called customer service thru usps.com and spoke to Cedric who said he would place it to the post office and someone would call me back by wed. I decided to go in on Tuesday today and Rhonda Gutierrez told me that the key was never ordered and first she said she could have it to me by tomorrow then it changed to a couple of days. I understand the lines are long and customers have to be helped but come on 4 weeks now and stories told to me every week 40$ out of pocket and still no damn key!! My suggestion: hire competent people and hire a full staff if your staff requirements is 5 people hire 10 people so you have enough crew of it gets busy or people get sick bottom line this place sucks the customer service sucks period no one has been able to help but the carrier named Brandon he is the only one that as been helpful in this situation. Tracking shows that 11:28am on Sep 14th an attempt delivery was made and a notice was left. I was home and have cameras and sensors on both driveway and front door, delivery was never made! At 3:11pm, same day, a private car pulls into my driveway, driver attaches the notice to my door, rings the bell and RUNS back to his car. I get to the door and run after the car. Have it all on camera! I was home all day expecting this package because i leave the country for two weeks tonight! Tried calling the local post office for 3 hours, no one picks up. I sent a package to someone in Vegas that ended up in that P.O. and I had a dual problem;the guy I was sending the package to didn't want it (it was an eBay return and the butthead didn't want to give me a refund,even though he had a "money back satisfaction" policy),and the drones that inhabit that hellhole P.O. wouldn't lift a finger to help me locate the package(I thought it had gone missing after the guy I was sending it back to kept telling me he didn't receive it.Little did I know at that time that the guy was intentionally dodging signing for,or picking it up at the P.O.) Anyway,back to the P.O. review.First guy I talked to was Kelly,who claimed he was a supervisor.(Apparently he has delusions of grandeur because the next person I talked with,a black lady,when asked if Kelly was a supervisor stated" Hell,no..") Anyhow Kelly assured me that he would look into the matter and call me back,but he never did,which occurred about a half a dozen times.. Occasionally over the almost two month period that I corresponded with them I would get a different person,but they were no better than supervisor wannabe Kelly.Always saying that they would investigate and call me back but none of them ever did. Finally,after roasting for two months in this Postal Purgatory,eBay came to my rescue and issued me a refund,having concluded(correctly)that the guy I bought the item from was playing the "I don't want to give a refund" game,which released me from having to deal with that Post office any longer,so I shook the dust off of my sandals,and moved on,never looking back,leaving those employees of the damned far behind,no doubt to poke with their postal pitchforks the next unfortunate soul who is forced to go to them for help.. read more
