The post office is just not up with new technology and it shows in their locations. Old school, slow and headache are three words that come to mind. I came here on a Tuesday morning to send some items for a gift giveaway that I did. I had all of the information printed and the gifts packed so all the person would have to do is type the information into the computer tell me what to pay and I'd go. Well that took about 20 minutes between a wait time and the person helping me. It's just inefficient and they can do better. Sometimes I think the lack of advancement is why this place isn't doing as well as a fedex or other type stores. I will come here out of necessity but not because I want to. read more

If you arrive close to closing time they speed up the process. If you need to change the keys to your mailbox, beware, they screwed up so many times. I was unable to get my mail for 1 month, when I held it, and took it off hold, my mail was still being held. Let's just say, it's been almost 3 months and I'm still having issues. read more

Lines stretched almost to the door when I walked in. Notice how I wrote lines (plural)? It's because there were two lines formed which I was confused by. The two lines were like when you're merging into traffic, we were all going to the same place, not sure why there were two. There was three or four people working the counter. Went on a weekday afternoon to pick up a missed parcel delivery. The line was nearly out the door at 3:30 PM and despite about seven windows, only two employees were present and assisting customers. Wait was nearly half an hour. The associate who eventually helped me was polite and friendly, and relatively quick, which was nice. Added on a sheet of stamps before I left, because I sure as heck don't want to stand in that line again. A little ticked off to find out that I apparently could have just approached the counter to pick up my parcel and been helped immediately- what good does that info do me AFTER I've waited? read more

I have online stores and ship orders on a regular basis. I've never had a missing package and one not even tracked from a post office except here! This is the "main" branch of the USPS on this side of town (or I think so anyway). This has been here for as long as ive been in this area of vegas (summer 1994). Customer service as always been pretty good but lines can be fairly long as each person works at an incredibly slow, casual pace like no one in line has anything else to do. The amount of people can highly vary. Sometimes empty. Sometimes a few. Sometimes a line out the door. I'm loving my new post office! I just moved into Spring Valley from the South West of town and I can honestly say this was the fastest and most pleasant post office experience from all the post offices on the west side of town. There were 3 clerks available, but Leonard the clerk was on fire! He helped all 3 people in front of me while the other 2 clerks took care of lengthier transactions. While Leonard helped to move the line along, he did so with a pleasant demeanor and a smile on his face. He also processed my transaction as efficiently as he did the rest. I will definitely be back. They were supposed to fix my mailbox on my neighborhood street, it's been over three months and no one has repaired the boxes. So for the last four months we've had to go down to the post office and go through the waiting game to pick up our mail. My sister and I sent 6 packages from this post office to 4 different addresses. So far, 3 have arrived...VERY damaged, things broken and MISSING. The boxes were not marked as priority, no priority tape at all. Several of the boxes were bought at the post office so they were made for shipping. These were very sentimental items since they belonged to a family member who recently passed away. It is very obvious that the missing items were stolen from the LARGE HOLE placed and left in one box. The other had a hole that had also been taped back up. I went to this post office to ship 12 flat rate boxes. I arrived at 4:25. The office closes at 5. While putting my boxes on the counter, one of the guys behind the counter kept complaining to another guy he called "Renee" that "seriously, this b**ch is gonna ship her whole house" while Renee was complaining that they had to do this at closing time, and that "she be lucky if any of this makes it". I look up to see these two throwing other peoples packages. I took all my boxes back and went to the post office in Summerlin, where I was treated with courtesy and respect from the entire staff. It's crazy that so many people don't have jobs, let alone jobs with good benefits, but these ghetto people were not grateful at all. read more

The supervisor Curtis is not at all helpful. I needed assistance finding a package and he allowed his employee to stay over time off the clock to help me. After so long the very nice man Wil told me to return the following Tuesday and so I did he was sick and Curtis the supervisor said "no one here can help you" As a super you should be able to do it all! Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful, kinda hard to believe when they don't have a good leader to follow. read more

They lose mail and packages regularly. If you make a service request the supervisors automatically close it. I spoke with Anthony who informed me that if I made another complaint online, it would end up at his desk and he would automatically close it; so in essence I was wasting my time. My mom came to buy stamps today and Casey, USPS front reception who is in her 20's, was very rude to her. My mom was explaining that she needs to get 10 "books of 20" stamps. Casey kept giving her 20 books. She was rushing my mom who is already frustrated. My mom is a senior citizen and I do not think Casey has a bit of respect to older individuals. Casey decided to just leave the reception and ask my mom rudely to go back in line, which was very long, and in fact, she already did since she was already purchasing the items. Casey is not aware that we have to treat our elderly in a respectful manner, with patience. read more

The young girl named Casey is the rudest person I've ever encountered in a post office. I usually let the person behind me go ahead of me if I am next in her line, because she is so rude. On this one occasion, I waited in line for 25 minutes to pick up the new keys for my mailbox, but when I got up to the counter, Casey said she couldn't help me and I had to go wait in line at the package pickup. After waiting 40 minutes, I finally got my keys, but had to get back in line to mail a package. While waiting in line, a man in front of me went to Casey and ask to get his new mailbox keys. Casey was happy to get them for him! I was outraged! The difference between me and the man was I was white and he was black. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt to Casey, so I observed her for 15 minutes. Not only did Casey tell two other white people, and one Asian she couldn't help them with keys, but she was rude to anyone that wasn't black, and happy and courteous to all the black patrons! Casey should be courteous to everyone she is paid to serve. read more

Two things: 1. Impossible to reach anyone over the phone. Trying for last 2 hrs went from ringing to a busy singnal so I called again and again and gave a signal for unexisting number. 2. Our mailman is an idiot. Over the years, repeatedly put wrong mail in my mail box, piles of my neighbors mail and then he put our mail to other neigbor boxes. There were bills and so I got late charges from my credit card companies. Once he forgot to deliver my neighbors medicine and he delivered it a month later. He left it in his truck. This week he left my package in a parcel box which was damaged so I couldnt open it. I left him a note in my mailbox if he would transfer the package to the other box and for 2 days he's been ignoring it. Terrible ignorat person. I will be reporting his ass read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Every person that works there are very rude and disrespectful. I went in to drop off a package and while I was in there I had a few questions. The lady that helped me was rude and kept rolling her eyes at me. When I was asking my question she kept rolling her eyes and kept saying "I don't know." And I asked politely if she knew if someone else could answer my question and she rudely said "no" and called the next person in line. I had a package that, according to the tracking number was delivered yet I never received it. I tried calling customer service but it's all automated and it's impossible for you to speak to a live person, that option doesn't exist. So I call this post office. I call 5 times letting the phone ring for one minute each time. No answer every single time. I call again. This location for some reason is the slowest location in the Las Vegas area. They never have enough cashiers working and always a huge line. Unfortunately I always find myself in this area so my bad ;I guess .... I have no other choice, just my advise to the USPS if they care for their reviews. I hate having to go to the post office. I appreciate that this office had one person talking to people in line and assisting in deciding which services are best. She wrote it down on a slip to make it easy for the register to just punch in. I'm used to lines, lines, lines and it made it efficient enough that I wasn't ready! I was still writing labels. 3/31/16 - I have PO box at this location because it's close to my office. When renewal time came up, I didn't received any request for payment. Just found out my box was locked out when I went to check for mail. I paid and got my box reinstated. I was told my new key wouldn't work until after the weekend. 4/4/16 - I showed up on Monday, after the weekend, like I was told, and my key still didn't work. Forcing me to wait 30 minutes before someone could get my mail for me. 4/5/16 - I came back, my key worked. But when I tried to order extra keys for my employees, I was told my account was locked due to non-payment! While the guy who took my payment was right next to me! He confirmed I've paid, and could vouch for me, but still forced me to go bring back proof of payment before they could help me at all! I actually went to get proof of payment, and came back with it. They claimed the office they needed to call to fix the issue was off for the day, and wasn't answering anymore calls for the day after I wasted another 30 minutes. 4/6/16 -I went back, and asked to speak to a supervisor. He seemed very sympathetic to me, but ultimately apologized for not having any answers for me. Gave me 2 phone numbers to call, and ask for someone named "Anita". 4/15/16 - I've called both phone numbers before coming in person every single weekday since. The numbers never get picked up, and every single time I'm told "Anita is in a meeting". While waiting to speak to a supervisor again. Two other patrons, young Caucasian males in front of me on line, started making racial jokes about me. Then started joking about assaulting me, making motions of how they would punch me, and exclaiming they'd kick me like the rochettes! The two wannabe thugs were joking about how I'll shoot them if they didn't stop. Then joked about how I couldn't if I wanted to because of the no firearms sign. Now the kicker, one of their employees overheard the whole thing, and chuckled under her breath! 4/19/16 - Called USPS main office consumer affairs (702-361-9230), filed a complaint on this office. 4/22/16 - Donita calls me, apologizes for issues. Assures me they'll be taken care of, promises I won't be charged for the keys. Refused to give me a time frame. 5/14/16 - I tried to get an update on the keys for my PO Box, in person. Teller TC, tells me my PO Box is unpaid since October 2015. Tells me to go get my proof of payment AGAIN. Called USPS consumer affairs again, and had my case re-opened. Was told someone would contact me by 5/18/16. 5/18/16 - USPS consumer affairs dept connected me directly to this office. Tells me my keys will be ready 6/1/16, and that I should come in and pick them up then. Another 2 weeks, feels like they told me anything to get me off their case. 6/1/16 - I came in to get my keys. Found out my current keys don't work on the box anymore, they've locked me out for non-payment again. 6/3/16 - I came back with my receipt. They tell me I never paid them, and that my receipt isn't in their records system. They also gave my box to someone else. I left, and came back with my credit card statement, and talked to my bank. The payment definitely went through. But they're insisting I never paid them. I get about 200 bills a month to this PO Box, which now belongs to someone else. It'll take me literally a week on the phone to change my mailing address with all my vendors. I don't even have a PO Box right now, despite prepaying for a year. I'm seriously considering legal action at this point. read more
