Every time i drop my mail here at the drive thru drop, the mail NEVER goes out!!! Due to this, ive had a time where i was late on my car payment & received a 3 day notice at my apartment bc bills never were received & paid. Have not had problem with counter service but we have had mail stolen that we put in the drive through boxes outside, including several checks. I called them regarding this and they said they were aware of the problem. I told them they should at least have a sign out there warning people not to use these boxes. The manager agreed and said "I think we put a sign out." But as of today, no sign, no warning of any kind. Seriously? read more

The most rude post office workers ever and lazy. I have had numerous occasions where my packages weren't delivered simply because the mail carrier didn't want to walk up the stairs to my door. As of now I had been waiting on a package that was supposed to be delivered yesterday. The carrier instead of knocking on my door (I work from home) said they didn't have access. I suspect that meant to my mailbox which makes no sense because they delivered the mail in that same mailbox yesterday and it was a package so they could have knocked on the door. Today I call and they have no idea where the package is or why the mailman didn't try to redeliver it. Fast forward 2 hours, I look at the tracking and it says it was delivered at my front door like 10 minutes before that. The package is nowhere to be found. So I call them because I have had problems before where the mail carrier will say they delivered and they haven't. A very rude lady answers the phone who obviously doesn't want to be bothered with a phone call about mail... yet she works at the post office. She didn't want to offer any help and said the post office is closed. I told her I needed someone to find that mail person and ask where he put my package that was supposedly just delivered and she said she would get a supervisor but instead just hung up on me. Called back, no answer. Then 20 minutes later I hear that bastard mail carrier downstairs dropping the package in my mailbox. They are rude, they don't care, they are lie and they are lazy. It has been this way for the whole time I have lived in the area which is 9 years. Just fire the whole branch and start all over. read more

I recently moved here and this is my post Office. I have been here for a month and My work sent out my W-2 forms last week. All my co workers received theirs except for me. I haven't been getting mail like I usually do. Was told that a carrier said, our street doesn't get mailman until someone can deliver. They are short handed! Where's my mail?? The post office is two blocks up the street. I've been to the post office but was told to speak to my carrier but I'm always at work when someone does come. it's the first time I love moved and gave one month notice of change of address and now I barley getting mail. PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR MAIL HERE!!! I've had my checks stolen twice at this location. Not sure if it's an inside job or a person coming at night and stealing through the mail bins. I learned the hard way and someone actually got away with $4,000 with writing out one of my checks. If you can't trust your U.S. Post Office, where are we suppose to drop our mail? The worst post office I have ever been to. Fire all the employee clerks and get some people that are actually customer friendly. The ladies are rude the moment you step in line. Excellent post office; except there is one mail lady who is slow as molasses!!! Waited in line 15min just to get to her window and have her take another 15 minutes!!!! The other young ladies are nice and fast!!! If you want to spend your entire afternoon at the post office, go to the slow, older lady who seems to chit chat with every customer....but if you want to be in and out....I suggest just wait in line for one of the younger ladies!!! what happened to this place? when it first opened it had a full service postal store and self serve postal machine aside from the usual postal counters. that is gone now and the space is stocked with greeting cards and mailing boxes. and why don't they clean the inside of this place? there is trash everywhere. the front door has been broken for years and the outside landscaping looks like an abandoned field. i don't think the sprinklers work anymore. there are weeds everywhere and the place just look run down. the workers are still nice enough but they waste a lot of time chit chatting with their regulars. read more

I thought dropping off my mail at the drive-thru mailboxes at this post office was safe - until my mail was stolen MULTIPLE TIMES.

The absolute worst post office location in the entire city of Los Angeles. Customer service agents are rude, unapproachable, always in terrible moods, and incompetent. In the 20+ years of having a box at this location, I have received over 100 payments for Blue Shield of California. The back office at this location is incompetent and obviously illiterate. I am consistently dropping Blue Shield payments at the front desk and letting them know they put it in the wrong box. I wonder how many people have lost insurance coverage due to the incompetence of the sorting of mail at this location. Also, they will never answer the phone so don't waste your time trying. You have better luck calling the 800-number and waiting on hold for 30+ minutes. The employees at this location are more miserable than any post office or DMV location I have ever visited. During my last visit to the post office to check my mail, I asked a few other box holders how their experience has been. I did not get one positive response. They were disgusted at the customer service and lack of care there, and are ready to sign a petition to get the entire staff fired and rehired. Customers here are done. If you're interested in opening a box at this location, take my advice and STAY FAR AWAY! read more

Because I'm traveling for work,I've been trying to call this post office all day with no answer. I mailed a stack of bills / letters there on March 26th, most of which were local to the state of CA and not one of those 15 pieces of mail have reached their destination, to date. This is the second post that I've ever done on Yelp. This pretty much means that if I'm posting it, try and avoid this place as much as possible. The post office wonders why revenue went down because people stopped sending mail, well I'm sure they can't be getting much revenue for their USPS delivery service which sucks too! I called them to follow up on a package to find out when it would be redelivered because it was delivered to the business at 8pm! The lady informed me that it was a lady delivering the package and that after she checked in and did her things and then was on her route it would be delivered. I asked approximately what time that would be and she said they had no time. I was like ok well we are a business and not here until 8pm so if it's going to be that late to keep it at the office. She then put me on hold and left me there for over 15 minutes. I called back on my cell phone and got another person, who threw me on hold again but did come back with an answer. I shipped a Priority Mail 2 day envelope to an address in this center's route. The carrier supposedly delivered it but it never arrived. Supervisor was polite but nothing can be done. The carriers just don't care and are very sloppy about their job. They are a black eye on the USPS and I will be using UPS instead. Very disappointing. read more

Between my mail carrier and this post office I don't know which is worse. Not only will they not attemp to deliver packages, when you go to pick it up and wait in line for over an hour they can't find them. This is the 3rd time I've had to pick up packages they won't deliver and they have to call and search the whole building to find it. Just lazy, unorganized, and sad. What a HORRIBLE post office! I went to mail a book and asked for media mail as well as delivery confirmation. The lovely postal worker (note the sarcasm), Phyllis Scott, glared at me and said, "go back and fill out the delivery confirmation receipt." I've never had to do this and asked why all of a sudden I needed to do this. Without giving me an answer, she yells " go back and fill it out! Next!" When I asked for a pen, she grabbed it and flicked it on the counter in front of her. Fuming, I filled out the receipt and got back in line. Then I heard "Next!" Lucky me, Phyllis was to help me again. "Did you fill it out like you're supposed to before you come to the counter?" "You know Phyllis, this is the first time I have ever had to fill that receipt out at any post office, so excuse me." I thought I had responded very nicely considering the circumstances, but apparently not since Phyllis then said, "well sir, you're always supposed to, so I really don't appreciate your attitude." That was it... I was seeing red. "You know what Phyllis, I'm not the one with the attitude." No response. She continued to ring me up until it came time to THROW my package into the large bin behind her. I looked at her and thanked her so much for caring for my package to make sure the book inside wouldn't get damaged. She handed me the receipt, shot me a look as she yelled out her signature line. I switched to this post office, I used to have a box - at the Palms station on motor, the lines were so long to mail packages that I would pick up my mail and go to another post office, to mail a package. All clerks are nice,especially Camile they are quick,have a great attitude,& there are usually at least a couple people working. And I mail a lot of media mail, and they go the extra effort make sure that I've addressed them correctly. I don't know what people's problem is with this location. They've always made an extra effort to get my stuff done. I mail a lot of media mail, the post office never looses anything, the one time they did send me back the shredded pieces of the package. United States post office still the best deal, especially media mail. and when it's busy, they have somebody working the line to educate people so they have their stuff together by the time they get to their clerk and don't hold up the line. There were a lot of people that have never been to the post office and actually mailed package, applied for a passport, sent stuff overseas.
