This is by far, the worst, post office with which to have a post office box. I can't begin to describe the multitude of theft I've experienced at this post office and it's all an in-house job. Again, as part of my job, it's essential to uncover the truth. So, when all of the parts and pieces come together to unveil that post office staff are the culprits of theft, there's nothing else to surmise but the truth. I had a year-long commitment with the post office for a post office box that I thought would be more secure than having anything sent to my residence. Oh boy, was I wrong! I received more packages (i.e., purchases I had made) at my residence than at my PO box. How could that be? The PO staff are government officials! The truth of the matter is that it almost seems to be a given right, by way of being that trusted government official, to pilfer as one may so wish. When purchases for my children's winter clothes, etc. came up missing, I was furious. First, I was furious with the company from where I made the purchase for their error, etc. Then, it became evident to me that it was the PO staff that was the culprit. I will refrain from disclosing how I became privy to that conclusion for self explanatory reasons. In any event, please do not use this post office or any post office, for that matter, for your concerning deliveries. Just use your physical address. Or, use a trusted friend's or neighbor's address for your deliveries. The way of the world is not what it used to be. Apparently, it's every man for himself, regardless of your 'trusted' status as a government official...this coming from a civil servant. What in the world has this country come to when we cannot even trust our local PO staff to make righteous choices and refrain from stealing other people's property?! read more

Utterly horrible service! If Yelp has a "dislike" button, this place would get one from me. If I could only give zero or negative stars... -------------------------------- Me: I'd like to put insurance on this package please. Lady #1: Sorry we can't do nothin' for it. The postage is already paid so you can't put insurance. All you can do is fill out a "Certificate of Mailing" to verify that you mailed it. Is it fragile? Me: Yes. ***Lady #1 put "fragile" on the form after I filled it out. I saw a "Delivery Confirmation" form so I took it with me to the counter. Me: Can I please put a "Delivery Confirmation" on it? Lady #2 (rudely with attitude): Didn't she (Lady #1) says we can't do nothin' for it? I know I heard her say it to you. Didn't she? Me: Yes, she said I couldn't put insurance on it. Not a delivery confirmation. Lady #2: We can't do nothin' with it. ***Lady #2 tosses package... Me: That package says "fragile" on it. Didn't you see? It says so on the form? Lady #2: Oh you want a "fragile" stamp on it? -------------------------------- WTF?!? First of, I've mailed a similar package before and yes, they were able to put insurance on it even if the postage was pre-paid. It's either they were all lazy or don't know how to do it. Second, I can't believe they gave me attitude the entire time AND tossed my package even it clearly marked "fragile." Please like those 2 gives the Post Office a bad name. I typically don't deal with the USPS however, I was directed to this facility by someone who works with the State Department - to renew my passport which I let expire. My experience was so painless that I recommend anyone who needs to renew their passport, to do it here. Of course, come in with all the required documentation. If you don't, don't have an attitude with the staff as you should have done all of your homework instead of just showing up without those documents and or enough money. It's full service service - even to taking your photo if you don't bring photos in with you. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Charlotte was courteous, friendly and efficient. One note - the parking lot could have been designed to allow better traffic flow. If it gets busy, the parking lot jams up pretty good. But then again, it could also be attributed to the drivers. read more

I'm always so reluctant in going to the post office because the service has always been horrible. However , today was different . When I walked in there were 15 people ahead of me so I assumed I would be in there for at least 2 hours . I was in and out in only 20 minutes . This location by far provided the best service. There was a lady that greeted us and thanked us for waiting and answered all questions we had. When I got to the counter , clerk 16 was so pleasant, kind and professional . I am very impressed! August 16 over four months ago I applied for a passport through this post office, worst thing I ever did. I never received my passport and they charged me 140$. They must of lost my paperwork along with my old passport or failed to properly submit who knows exactly what occurred, I can 100% tell you this location is TERRIBLE definitely not trustworthy. When speaking to supervisors at post office they would not acknowledge there mistake or even attempt to give me a proper solution not even my money back?!! Friendly front desk agents but this site has a disturbing tendency to lose packages. I've had two packages in the past 10 days not make it to their destination or arrive late out of this P.O. I've been going to this post office 2-3 times a month for more than 5 years. Lines move quickly. Questions answered accurately.

My mail carrier is so bad it's like being a hidden camera show. But, it isn't funny. Doesn't matter how obvious I make it that I have outgoing mail - and I go out of my way to make it very obvious - they leave it. The way I set it up, they actually have to handle it and replace it in the box. And they do this Every. Damn. Time. Leaving it Underneath the new mail. I'm forced to drive outgoing mail to the post office every time. Also, I have to sort and deliver my neighbor's mail. DAILY. Because they dump it in my box. Disgusting lack of effort. This isn't an accident. it feels malicious. Today, I lacked a car and needed to get a medical sample sent in, so I had to take a chance. Nope. They did it again. Even when it's life and death. This is YEARS of abuse. Plus, I've been sent cash inside a birthday card 3 times. Guess how many times it was ripped open and stolen? Every. Damn. Time. No one there could help me when I complained. I ordered memory for my customer. Which came from Walnut CA about 25 miles away. The item was purchased September 5th and was shipped on the eighth. I have text information sent to my devices. Which informed me on September 10th the memory would be arriving on Friday September 11th or Saturday September 12th. I received an automated message with no time stamp it will still be coming by September 12th. It came to an International Sorting Center who closes early on Fridays. Why? An International Sorting Center. No clue since the business is located in the U.S. and the same state. My estimate I will possibly receive it On Tuesday September 15th. Worst customer service ever! All of the reviews here are the same. WAKE UP AREA MANAGER! The people at the counter all have attitudes and they all act like we are doing them a favor by being there. I wrote a detailed review and it appears to have been deleted because I named names. The carriers stamp boxes "Business Closed" because they are too lazy to deliver. It's too bad you can't give negative stars. This Post Office is consistently the biggest and most frustrating waste of time humans must endure to send mail and packages. This branch epitomizes why the US Post Office is failing and will likely soon be out of business. Without fail, every time I have been to this branch, the service has been horrid and today is no exception. While the stated hours of the location indicate the branch is open at 9 am. It is now more than 10 past the hour and there are 20 people waiting for service, and the branch can't be bothered to open. The people who work here do not care about customer service. The workers are dismissive and ill tempered and make no effort to be efficient or acknowledge that everyone in line would rather be somewhere else. The branch has now opened although 12 minutes late and although there are 5 service desks and 20+ people in line, there is one person to help. This is typical of how the branch is run. The people who work here don't care about their customers. This post office actively ignores that they are a service business that depends on customers for their livelihood, and that those customers have a myriad of choices that enable them to avoid this atrocity. Workers are standing within customer view texting and using their phones while 20 people wait for service. With such obvious disdain for customers, I won't feel at all bad never coming back here and telling everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. read more

Highly recommend this branch if being treated like crap is your thing. I cringe every time I get that pink notice in my mailbox to pick up my package here. I've never had a clerk here who treated me like a human being - and that says a lot because I rarely refer high priority on super smiley service. Was shocked by the all the nasty comments on here - the workers of this post office were all very professional and lovely. Camille, who helped me today with my passport application, was especially nice and cool. I was in and out under 30 minutes. I actually came in earlier than I had to for my appointment, but because the office wasn't busy, I was DONE with everything by the time of my actual appointment. While waiting, I noticed that all the workers had a good rapport with the regulars. If they have people coming back, obviously they are doing something right. I also noticed that the line for customers moved quick. The ladies here are not only sweet, but they get stuff DONE. I think the bad reviews on here are most likely due to unfortunate stereotypes that pissy, impatient people with a desperate need to complain WANT to believe. Also, in most of my experiences at places known for poor customer service, like post offices, dmvs, amusement parks etc. customers who get snarky attitudes from workers were either a) not listening or paying attention to signs or directions, b) acting like an impatient a$%butt to workers or c) texting/talking up a storm on a cell phone. Pay attention, be patient and be nice. Life will be less dramatic. read more

The post office from hell! Every time I come here I have a problem. I have given up after all too many tries. The employees are surly, rude, unhelpful, inconsiderate. blah blah blah. And you have to wait in a line that moves all too slow as these are government workers at their worst. Even with 2 or 3 people ahead of you, one can still wait 15 minutes. Once, I was the first one in the door and it still took 15 minutes. Customers come last here, not first. I put my money where my mouth is and moved all my business to the Airport Blvd post office near LAX. A big improvement. PS I tried this La Tijera post office one more time last week to pick up priority mail flat rate board game shipping boxes. I was referred by the airport post office folks. I stopped by this Post Office with the sole intent of changing some mail forwarding, and found the experience to be pretty straightforward and easy. ______________ - Although I paid a visit in the middle of the afternoon, finding a parking spot was a breeze. The same goes for past visits; I've never had much difficulty securing a space, even during busier hours. - Sure, I had to wait in line before I was assisted, but on a scale of DMV-10, this wasn't much of a hassle at all. I waited for maybe fifteen minutes at most before I was helped. - I disagree with the general consensus that the staff members here are grouchy and unpleasant. The woman who assisted me was very helpful, and even managed not to laugh when I hit her with a flurry of stupid questions: "Which address goes in which line?" I would like to thank Gary the manager over at the PO on Imperial in Inglewood. After getting the runaround from the staff, I called to report my package stolen. But Gary took the time to actually look for my package, then called me back to let me know it was there and I could come pick it up. Thanks so much Gary. But I must tell you about the employee who opened the door for me once I arrived at the PO. This lady looked at me through the window of the door like I was a prison inmate and proceeded to give me the up and down check as if she was some type of prison guard. I was so angry and felt so disrespected but since she was at least 50 or 60 years old, I just remembered that my mother raised me to be respectful to my elders AND the fact that I had a package on the other side of that door that I'd been waiting almost 2 weeks to receive kept me from being ugly to her. Those postal workers must be miserable to treat people the way that they do. I hope I never have to deal with these people again in life. I'll send everything to my business address from now on. WORST POST OFFICE EVER!!! First off the postal workers are very rude. I asked a simple question about my mail and was yelled at for asking. Second, they don't deliver the packages they're supposed to...even when I've scheduled a redelivery. All they do is leave a notice in your mailbox claiming they attempted delivery...which is the biggest lie I've ever heard. I've been waiting for a week for a redelivery of my package. It still hasn't shown up. Half the time they don't even leave a notice. They only way I'm able to find out is when amazon has emailed me about my package! I'm a bit conflicted writing this review because my experiences IN this post office are so different than my experiences with the service I receive at home from this post office. I have gone here many times now to ship packages, and to attempt to locate missing mail. Every time I have gone into this post office, I have received friendly, courteous, and helpful service from the employees. So in that respect, the employees who work in this post office get 5 stars from me. Unfortunately, ever since moving to our home about 6 months ago, we have had numerous problems with the mail service by our courier. One of the biggest issues is that there have been multiple instances of mail theft in our building. Of course this is not the courier's fault, however the post office is well aware of the issue our entire zip code is having due to a mail thief who has a master key to all the mailboxes in our zip code and has been stealing from all of them. Knowing this information, you would think the courier would be diligent about not leaving mail outside of mailboxes. We had a paycheck and some other mail come that the courier did not put inside our mailbox, but rather left it on top of all the boxes (and our mailbox was empty, so there was no reason for him to not put it in the box). Fortunately one of our neighbors noticed this and noticed that one item was clearly a check, so he took our mail for us so that it would be safe and not risk it getting stolen. Another issue is that my husband and I travel frequently, and thus use the "hold mail" feature quite a bit. We've done this at our previous residences without much issue. With this courier, however, sometimes we have no mail upon returning from a trip, even though I always select "courier to deliver accumulated mail" on the last day. I waited a day, still no mail, and went in to the post office. As usual, I received friendly, helpful service from the great staff who work at the post office, and the woman was able to go in back and give me my huge stack of accumulated mail. She apologized for the courier not having delivered it, as she saw herself that the mail hold request clearly stated for the courier to deliver the accumulated mail. Other times when we travel, we do have some mail waiting for us when we return..but only a few pieces and clearly not the entire trip's worth. Slowly but surely, over the next days and weeks we begin to get mail that should have been delivered at the end of the mail hold period. When you are expecting urgent, timely pieces of mail, it is quite frustrating to receive mail that is clearly postmarked over a month ago. It's become obvious to us that we get our mail at an excruciatingly slow pace because the courier seems to hang on to it and deliver bits and pieces whenever he feels like it. There have been so many instances where we have reported mail as missing because the sender tells us they sent it weeks, sometimes a whole month ago, and then it magically gets delivered a day or two later with a postmark date of weeks or even a month ago. So while the staff inside the post office are great, the courier from here is pretty awful. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst people skills ever witnessed and experienced in a customer service related business. Ucid Thompson is rude, unprofessional and does not belong in a service oriented position. She loudly " just about yells" at consumers when they ask questions or do not understand the difference in postal rates displayed on the screen. Although the price options displayed did not pertain to our package...then why should this appear there? I watched her berate a woman trying to ship something internationally, offered little to no assistance to resolve or answer the woman's questions and then went to tell everyone standing in line that she wanted to get out of here and did not want to deal with this persons errors on her shipping form. She then went on to complain about her job and the workload with a fellow co-worker in front of a line of customers. She stated "I'm done, I'm so over this and I'm not gonna anymore, I haven't had a day off". She obviously hates her job and it shows! She does not belong working as a clerk/cashier...she belongs in the back loading packages where no one can see her, have to deal with her rudeness or hear her! Do yourself a favor and ship your packages via UPS or Fed Ex. No one deserves to be talked to or treated the way this woman does! read more

Actually had a very good experience with this post office. I was sending invitiations and they were kind enough to provide me with a glue stick to close all the envelopes. Plus there was multiple employees working which is always a positive and they were very nice and efficient. read more
