I'm going to write my review before reading any others about this post office, but I can already tell why it has such a low rating. I had a few packages I needed to send out with pre paid labels on them. One of them felt a little heavy so I wanted to make sure I had enough postage on it. There were only two employees working the counters when I went. The Asian woman called me over. Instead of a plexiglass divider, like the ones they have at the bank, it was a fogged up shower curtain with tape acting as the separator. The layout is strange because I still had to reach around to hand her my packages. She takes them and says, "Oh no. You need to pay more for this one. This isn't enough," rudely. I told her, "That's why I'm here. I wanted to make sure I had the correct amount." She was snooty and disrespectful. Her attitude wasn't necessary.

To the idiots working at the counter today who do not what media mail and refusing to send out my educational books . And if you have any fragile packages make sure not to get the older angry Asian lady she is too lazy to get out of the chair and will just toss it to the bin that a little aways from her . I do believe she broke one of my items before as I reported it but she continues this bad habit . There is a nice younger Latina lady that's helped me out in the past but I have not seen her the last few times and now I just drive to Glendale where I have had better experiences.

My mail that I dropped off, which included some checks, were stolen and forged after I dropped them off at the York Post Office box. After reporting this information to the York Post Office employee, I was told that I needed to go to the Eagle Rock post office because they are the ones that handle the mail. I went to the Eagle Rock post office and had one of the worst customer service experiences there. I spoke to a woman who worked there about my situation and I asked her if I could fill out a report about my stolen mail/forged check since my bank encouraged me to do so. However, the worker said that there was nothing they could do, and seemed to brush me off. I again inquired if there was some way to document this and she looked at me like I was bothering her, even though no one else was in line. She ended up scribbling a number for me to call and just told me to call them. I can't believe people like this are in a customer service type of position. At the very minimal, I wish this employee had acknowledged or apologized that this happened to me and offer the phone number to call instead of having me pry that information out of them. Pros: -Nothing Cons: -Horrible customer service -I'm not sure where my mail was stolen and my checks forged, but I'm sure it was from this post office since another customer overheard my conversation and said the exact same thing happened to her

I contracted Box & Ship to handle the packing and return shipment of my original oil painting and custom frame from the 2025 California Art Club Gold Medal Exhibition. Their responsibility was simple: pack my artwork properly, with all of my original packing material, that I clearly had instructions to save, so it would arrive safely. Instead, their negligence, of not saving my original packing material and their poor repackaging, caused damage to my frame, and their customer service afterward towards me was dismissive and unprofessional. Here are the facts: Improperly sealed box: When I received my painting via FedEx on September 10, 2025, one end of the box was barely taped shut and nearly open. Only two pieces of tape barely holding one end of the box closed. My original packing material was mostly missing inside: There was very little packing material holding the painting and frame in the box. The artwork could shift around freely during shipping. Missing original packing: When I shipped my painting to the exhibition in July, I personally packed it with bubble wrap and peanuts so it was tight and secure....it could not move at all. It arrived to the California Art Club Gold Medal Exhibition undamaged and safe. However, after waiting 3-4 weeks to have my painting shipped back to me and Box & Ship finally got around to send it back, most of my original packing material was missing, leaving the piece vulnerable. Resulting damage: Because of their careless packing, the inner wood liner of my custom, hand-finished frame sustained a full break. I hand-finished this frame myself to match the painting, and repairing it will cost $200 in labor and materials. I have extensive photographic documentation showing the poor packing job and the resulting damage. When I contacted Box & Ship to request reimbursement, their response was dismissive. Instead of taking accountability, they told me: "The California Art Club insures the Gold Medal. Not Box & Ship. Please contact Eire and take it up with them." This reply is unacceptable. Not only does it deflect accountability for their poor packing practices, but it also demonstrates a complete disregard for the artists whose work they are entrusted to protect. Whether or not the California Art Club maintains insurance on artworks exhibited, the fact remains that Box & Ship themselves caused the damage through careless handling. As an artist, this experience has been infuriating. I will never trust Eric and Box & Ship again, nor use their poor shipping services. Their negligence not only damaged my frame, but their dismissive attitude shows they do not value their customers or the responsibility of safeguarding important artworks. I strongly urge the California Art Club to reconsider its relationship with Box & Ship. By continuing to use this company, they risk not only their reputation, but damaging more artists' works and undermining their commitment to protecting the contributions of their artist members, which make all their exhibitions possible. For fellow artists: think twice before entrusting your artwork to Box & Ship in Pasadena, California. Based on my bad experience, they are very slow to ship artwork, apparently have too much work for them to handle in a respectable time frame, careless in their packing and refuse to take responsibility when their negligence causes damage.

I've experienced the stereotypical postal clerk attitude many times over. Understandable to a degree, but a deviation from this is always appreciated. Unlike many locations in LA, parking is not a chore. There is a small parking lot behind the building as well as metered street parking and the location is conveniently right on Figueroa. The inside is clean, well-stocked and organized. I never have to approach the counter and ask if there are any more medium size flat-rate boxes. While I wouldn't call this a quiet branch, if you go in the later afternoon, there is rarely a line. When there has been a line, it moves. An older gentlemen was in front of me today on my visit and it made me smile inwardly to hear the clerk conversing with him while processing his purchases instead of barely acknowledging him and rushing him away. This brings me to the customer service. When I've had a question, I haven't been given a snippy answer and left to figure it out on my own. I also have not been made to wait in line all over again when I needed to do something simple like fill out a shipping label. This is a breath of fresh air and I don't leave feeling harried and agitated. Good branch overall. I wish this was the norm.

I've mailed hundreds of packages through this UPS Store and never had one get lost. They have self-scan stations available if you don't want to wait in line and have labels on your packages already. This saves me lots of time. The only issue at this location is the parking can be as busy as a costco, and the lot is somewhat small especially with a Trader Joes now sharing their lot. Not the store's fault though.

I stood at the counter with no one else waiting and was completely ignored for almost a minute while the employees were busy talking among themselves. Apparently, their personal conversation was more important than helping a customer. Eventually, a female clerk helped me, and I want to give her credit because she was polite, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the two male employees wearing glasses. Their behavior came across as rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They showed absolutely no sense of urgency or basic customer service. I understand that employees can have conversations with each other, but when a customer walks in and is standing directly at the counter, the bare minimum is to acknowledge them. Being ignored while employees continue talking and laughing among themselves is unacceptable. Management should seriously address the customer service at this location. Customers should not have to stand around wondering whether anyone is even going to bother helping them. One friendly employee cannot make up for an overall atmosphere that feels disrespectful and unwelcoming. I came in expecting a simple, professional experience and left feeling frustrated and ignored. Definitely not the level of service I expect from UPS.
