Very poor customer care. First off, they replaced two small boxes for the two large boxes that I sent out then when I requested for a replacement over the phone, I was given the vibe that they wouldn't go the extra mile to make their customers happy. I sent 2 boxes on Oct 18th to the Philippines. They cleared customs on Dec 13 and were received by LBC Manila warehouse. Only 1 box was delivered to the address on the shipping label. The other box is still showing as being in LBC warehouse. we've called 4 times already over the last month and were told each time that our shipment is being expedited (I wish I knew what that meant) and will be followed up. I sent 2 e-mails and got pretty much the same response. So until now it seems nothing was "expedited" or "followed up". To be fair Iv'e used them twice before and didn't have a problem until now. we are very disapointed and frustrated with this service. Not sure about using them again. So if your thinking of using them be aware that you have a 50/50 chance your balikbayan box will arrive to it's intended destination. read more

After so many hours of research, looking for different places to help me send a package to my friend in the Philippines, I decided to go with LBC. It's more convenient since they have an actual office near Seafood City. I went with the 12x12x12 box and they actually just gave it to me for FREE instead of charging me $3 for the box. I thought that was nice. I came back a week after to drop off my package, they asked for the weight and what's inside. I have to itemized what's inside my box and wrote in the piece of paper they gave me. I spent about $120 for it. My box was a little heavy (15lbs) and I did the air freight instead of sea freight which was a lot cheaper but takes longer to get there. They handed me a receipt with a tracking number after. This is where it got a little confusing. I tried input the tracking number in their website the next day and it says INVALID. I was thinking maybe they just haven't processed it. Then I tried again two days after, and it still said INVALID. I started to freak out, of course. 3 days later, still nothing. So, we called their number and luckily someone picked up and they just said that it's normal for the tracking number not to load. Sometimes it takes a while. I just wished I was informed this ahead of time to avoid all the stress. lol But anyway, after 6 days, my package arrived Philippines! I'm just happy that my friend got it and all the items inside are there. I was so worried that it will get stolen or they would drop it to the wrong person. So, thank you LBC! Long overdue review. It's my first time to send a balikbayan box. After calling other places where I either got no response or call back, I decided to take a chance with LBC. Scheduling the pick up day and time online was easy and painless. A couple of days before the scheduled time, I realized I need to send an additional box. I called their 800 number and, asked to add another box to my list. Morning of the scheduled pick up, I got a phone call from Carlos M. to let me know he's on his way. I was taken off guard as I scheduled pick up for the afternoon. He verified there's only 1 box on the list but he will also pick up the second box. Then comes the hyper packing mode to finish packing the second box. Carlos M. was very friendly and accommodating when he arrived. Although the boxes were already taped up, he taped it again. He completed the paperwork and off he went with the boxes. After a week of checking online and not seeing any activity, I called Carlos M. and he assured me that the boxes are on their way and that the info online will update. Shonuff, I started seeing updates. The boxes were delivered 44 days after it was picked up. Considering the delays due to covid and the fact that it was just a couple of weeks before Christmas, 44 days is awesome! Delivery was timely. The recipient was called prior to delivery, and arrangements were made to ensure someone was home. This was an added bonus because the recipient had no clue I was sending boxes all of which arrived in good condition. Overall, I'm satisfied with their service and will use them again. We had to take our extra large box to this branch for shipping out. It was very easy to locate in the mall. The people at the counter were nice. When we ask to use the dolley, they were very nice letting us use it to take the big box from the parking lot to inside.She gave quick instructions and paying was a breeze. The only thing I didn't notice was the address on the receipt got errors. I didn't mind that since I wrote the address on the box before we ship it out. I paid $105 for the extra large box, the price is good value and worth it if you're sending a lot of items to another country. read more

Initial dealing with this courier was very promising. We were provided with a clear breakdown including the freight, insurance & tax & duties that cost us around $120 & would take only 10 working days to arrive in another part of the world via air freight. After 10 days we began to inquire on the phone since the tracking number online did not show any movement even the date we turned in the package in their store. Every time we call each representative would give us different answers until the last one informed us that there would be a delay due connecting flights that did not materialize. There was so much uncertainties & inconsistencies from one communication to another causing us a lot of stress & anxiety. They were not confident with the updates being provided to their customer despite validations made from their office. After three long weeks our recipient finally got the package which should have been received earlier since it was transported by air. There's no such thing that a flight or flights would take a week to arrive!!!This probably would be my first & last transaction with LBC. Hope u guys improve your status verification system so that we can truly rely on your motto: "We like to move it!". read more

They always help me and my family ship to our out-of-country family members. It's very easy to ship through them, They're very straightforward. When you are done shipping a box, they give you one for free to ship again through them! It's awesome. They help a great deal in shipping to the Philippines. The balikbayan boxes are good and tough! When you need a dolly, they will help you. They will re-tape you packages and fix up anything else you need labeling wise. I'm just lucky it's not too far from where I live. I just wish the outside customer service was a little easier to get ahold of and contact with. The store itself is good! read more

This is my first time to send a Balikbayan Box to my Mom in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The person who helped me was Mark R. who was very pleasant and helpful. The box arrived in 9 weeks during Covid and during the Christmas season. I thought that was pretty good. The best thing about sending through LBC is their tracking service. I actually was able to tell my Mom when it reached Puerto Princesa and when to expect the box. They were less expensive than other carriers and the ETA they gave me was spot on. Ill never use LBC again to send money. A month ago, I sent money to my cousin in Cebu, only $50. I sent her photo of receipt with confirmation number. She came to a branch somewhere in SM only to find out that they wont release the money unless she has lbc id. Mind you, she had Philhealth id and drivers license but they were apparently unacceptable. She the left and proceeded to another branch in Ramos, the same thing happened, they still wouldn't release it despite having the confirmation number and current ids with her. After hearing this, I went back to this branch in Eaglerock and demanded a refund. They said, my refund will be mailed to my address in a weeks time. I got the check in 10days, but it was not the full amount. According to them, because of the handling fee, they cannot give me the full amount. I don't know what happened to this place/ business. This was our "GO TO" door to door delivery company hands down. HOWEVER, this past October we went to the Philippines. It was my dad's first time to come with us so he was excited to personally hand out the pasalubong to our relatives there. Having so much pasalubong we had to send 3 door to door boxes. We sent them in August, thinking they will arrive there before Oct 16. The boxes arrived middle of November, 2 weeks after we fly back home to the States. What happened LBC? The other guy just sat at the other end of the counter and waited for customers to go up to him. There was a line behind me and he didn't even say next or offer to help the people behind me!!! I waited until 4 people were helped before I went up to him just so he can tell me that what I was sending wasn't able to be sent. Be careful of this place. Just left this place a moment ago. I was billed for UN-AUTHORIZED cash advance that was supposedly done automatically by their machine. My transaction was on the 17th of February and all of a sudden on the 20th I got billed for a cash advance. This was never authorized by me but when Citibank tried to call them they insist this was a valid transaction. Take note, this was never authorized to begin with so how can this be a Valid Transaction? For something to be valid, it should have been approved by both side and not just their "machine". I don't know how it can be valid if I never approved of the transaction and at the same time was never notified of it until I am being charge by my credit company with the percentage for having a cash advance which was never authorized. As per my conversation, they even said that their machine does this from time to time, so they know the problem and they should have done something to it already. They would not even write a note that states it was not authorize because according to them it was a VALID Transaction. I should inform the county about this as this is not a proper way to do business. If I can give a negative review I will. Walked out of this place annoyed! read more

I just filed a fraud complaint regarding this business for charging us a cash advance transaction which my husband wasn't aware of. It was charged days after the transaction when my husband used them to send something to the Philippines. He paid the mailing charges by credit card then left. After a few days, there's an unauthorized $10 cash advance transaction plus interest in that credit card. We don't use our credit card for cash advance and we won't get cash especially just for $10. I tried disputing it with Citibank & found out that it was from LBC. Since this facility is close to us, we had to try to resolve it with them first. My husband went there and talked to a Diosdado who offered my husband $10 cash in refund. Diosdado can't seem to understand that this unauthorized cash advance will incur high interest if it isn't canceled from our credit card. According to Diosdado, their machine "sometimes" do cash advance & it is a valid charge. It's NOT a valid charge if the customer wasn't informed about it and when it was done after the customer left! Apparently, the machine has a mind of its own. Diosdado said he can't cancel it because "it's the machine." What kind of explanation is that? Complaint filed! Pls. go elsewhere to avoid getting charged without your knowledge. read more

I have been a customer of LBC for so many years. AND I have been an unhappy customer of theirs. The employees definitely need a rigorous training on customer service and handling public relations. THey not only are lousy employees, they are unprofessional and RUDE!!! Listen friends, we do not deal with these employees processing our money remittance for free and ship our boxes for free, they charge us money for every service they do for us. It is not fair that we receive poor customer service. These employees stay at the counters acting as if they are on their own lunch time in their own homes when they should be operating serious business with customers who pay for their salaries, including profits for their greedy employer. I had used them before and they were good. But really, they are good until you have a problem. They damaged an item I shipped with them recently. I filed a complaint, and they began an investigation. I still have all the forms copies I signed when I sent the boxes, and NOWHERE is there ANYTHING releasing them from liability if items get damaged in shipment. They are refusing to refund either my shipping cost or my declared value because they claim I was told the item could be damaged in shipping when I sent it. Well that never happened, and all the documents I signed do NOT release them from liability if things do get damaged. It limits to 100 per box, and the shipping cost was 50 on top of that. But NOTHING IN THAT DOCUMENT RELEASES THEM FROM LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES. But for breaking the item I sent using their service, they gave me a great big refund of absolutely ZERO. I am going to file a complaint with the better business bureau, which by the way they already have an F rating with and do not have accreditation. I am also going to try to contest the charge with my credit card. Use at your own risk. Theyre only good as long as you don't have a problem. Once you do, they will do absolutely nothing to help you and take almost a month to do it. My claim was started Oct 19, and was just denied for an absolute lie of a reason Nov 15 read more

NEVER will I use them again. I set up an appointment to ship 3 boxes, and they told me I would be the 1st pickup that morning, and the driver would call as well. Great as I have other things to do later that morning. Well guess what, no call and no driver. I call the Eagle Rock office, and they have to call me back, to "research" my appointment. Now it is 11am and the driver calls and tells me that he is 30+ minutes away in Fontana, and had no information about my pickup. When he arrives, suddenly the price changes from what they told me on the phone. I call the manager about this mini fiasco (now that I have missed my personal appointment set up later that morning) and receive NO CALL BACK. No customer service, no accountability, just useless bodies working there.....never again !! read more

I have used their service 3 times across the years to send documents or cargo to the Philippines. Customer service wise- they were straightforward. They told me about their leadtime and it was easy to check the status online. In terms of scheduling the pick-up for balikbayan boxes, I got a call in advance from one of their reps that they cannot pick up before 8am. We agreed at a later time then. They told me it takes 45-60 days for the shipment to arrive and true enough, my relatives received the balikbayan box within the leadtime. I plan on using LBC again in the future. read more
