Horrible customer service every time I walk in. Recently walked in on a Saturday and the employee was talking to his co worker - I waited a couple of mins and finally the other ups worker nodded towards me and the employee turned towards me and I said I needed to ship. He said they closed at 4. It was 3:59 and I shared with him I was waiting there while he was talking and he looked at his Phone and said "now it's 4" and I asked him if he was kidding and he said no. Then he said, "fine I can ship it for you what do you need?"... I said I needed to ship something then he said "oh sorry yeah we are closed - we closed at 4 it's now 4:02" I looked at him and said "this is why I never come here" he responded with, "good." Every time I've been to this UPS they speak negatively about other ups Locations and never offer help and if you ask for help they say no I drive the extra 10 mins usually for the Silverlake location. That's the best one on the east side. Always the best customer service. read more

Check out the June 30 Review. I've been a box subscriber here for six years. EVERY SINGLE YEAR I receive a piece of paper in my mailbox as a bill. EVERY SINGLE YEAR I make the payment before the due date. EVERY SINGLE YEAR I receive late notices and finally have to bring in my receipt. The hours change regularly, but they're not updated on Google or the website. So a lot of unnecessary trips. The 'updating' of their store has really screwed things up--wasn't supposed to close down, but it was for over a week. I am missing packages. Going back to USPS. read more

Always hassle free, staff here are helpful and friendly. They walk you through process and are patient with everyone, at times it get busy but they are pretty fast so it's really an issue Try them out, I'm sure they are valuable I don't really pay for my services. Keeping the business rule is respected but when I asked to have a 3 inch of the tape to close my package, it was rejected and asked to pay for 3 inch of tape. I went out bought a role of tape at $3 and went to other UPS store. I think UPS should give an award to this staff for keeping the company policy with no exceptions! read more

The notary here sucks. She was unprofessional and didn't verify information under penalty of perjury. The manager also does not understand the responsibilities of his employees and also does not know how to read. Get notary services elsewhere, I'm sure anyone is better than Rose and Joe. read more

Parking: plenty since they're in a plaza Service: top tier! the employees are well trained, knowledgeable, friendly and doesn't make me feel silly for my many questions. they were patient with me when I brought in a printed shipping label for USPS. i bought a large box from them to place my item, which they tabled and labeled for me! they said I can take it to USPS to ship and just get a receipt. If you are looking for your notary and shipping services with a side of abuse, rudeness, and condescension, this is the location for you. Make sure you ask for the Store Manager, Joe for the full experience. I went to the location, which on their website states they open at 8:30am, to have a document notarized. I arrived about 8:45am and was advised that the notary isn't available until 9am. I replied this information wasn't noted on the website, so I came when they opened. I then asked if the notary was there, or if they arrive at 9am. As I was already delayed going to the office, I didn't want to wait around for someone who arrived at 9am but wouldn't actually be available until 9:30am while they put items away and got settled into their day. Joe replied that if I was concerned about the hours I should have called. I again advised that I looked at the website and that there was nothing noted about differing hours for the notary services. He replied that it was my responsibility to call, that I should have known this as it's "how business works" and that it's not just this business that has certain services during certain hours. He proceeded to lecture me about other businesses, calling them to make sure of their offered services, and ended the lecture by advising me that fast food restaurants only serve breakfast from 8-11am. Not sure what the point of that was. Although if he was trying to be as rude as possible and remove all doubt that it was intentional, message received, and not only during the hours of 8-11am. During this, Rose was also present and I saw her interacting with Joe and customers. This matters in a minute. So I waited. Surfing Instagram and waiting for the notary at 9am, completely off to the side and out of the way of both registers. A number of customers came in, but as there was time to chat about his mechanic, and to make phone calls in the back, and do a few other things, the store was not overwhelmingly busy...or even busy as more than once I was the only person in the location aside from Joe (who acted like I wasn't there) and Rose. At 9am, Rose (who has been there the entire time) says to me that she can assist me with the notary services. Wait. What? The person who has been around and walking past me for 10 minutes is THE NOTARY? I can't make this up. Who knows. Maybe she is concerned about getting on Joe's bad side (I know I would be were he my manager) so she didn't say anything. But why in the world would you abuse a customer and then make them wait around? A power trip? A need to feel important? Joe was perfectly polite to all the other people who came in, so clearly I was the one who got lectured. Based on the other reviews, it would seem my "error" was not recognizing Joe's superiority immediately and daring to ask a question. I sincerely hope he treats his team at that location like he treats most customers and not how he treated me...but I suspect he doesn't. I did find and call their corporate number. Who knows if the owner of the location will be made aware, but I hope the person is advised of the incident (I did leave my contact info if they wish to follow up) but someone needs to know (and do something about) an employee who will treat a customer like this, as it's not a stretch to believe this is also how he treats the employees on his team. Based on his other responses to reviews on Yelp, I am sure Joe will have a comment on this review. Please Joe, feel free to prove (although your responses to others already have) that the minute someone has a question, or a concern, you become abusive, condescending, lecturing, and rude. read more

Had the awful experience shipping from this location. I was working with Joe and he really seems like a nice person but he was incompetent in packing my 100 lb item. He assured me it would be packed well but he cheapened on using appropriate packing material. On top of this UPS dropped my item and it came to me with the box open and my item broken and irreparable. Almost two months later and I'am still trying to get money back from the insurance I paid for. After spending over $475 on shipping you would think they would make the process easier but no they want repair quotes for an item that has not been made in over 40 years. The fact is no one on planet earth repairs this item. Just don't go there unless you are shipping a tennis ball and even then that could go wrong. To Joe, stop being a robot and use some humanity and compassion when trying to help. Passing the buck wont get you far in this life. As a response to Joe who is also somehow responding on behalf of Daniel. You did not properly pack the item. You put one piece of foam and some light styrofoam for an item that was over 100lbs. You did not know how to pack and ship this item yet mislead me in thinking I could trust you to do the job. You failed at packing the item properly and you failed at resolving this properly. Your customer service was poor. read more

By far the worst UPS customer service experience! This store charges for a 12 inch piece of tape. When asked if they can dispose a print out of my return slip, they replied by saying "No, there is a trash can outside". I do not recommend this location. read more

I'm sick and I come over here to drop an Amazon return on Saturday July 1. She is literally locking the door while I'm walking up to it. Sign says they close at 4pm. It is 3:58pm. I am just dropping off. She tells the manager. They even OPEN THE DOOR. Tell me they can't take it because the computer is shut down. I'm like why is it shut down when it's not even 4? He grumbles something about that's on Amazon. Which makes no sense because they are locking the door before it's even 4 which has nothing to do with Amazon. What if I were doing a non Amazon transaction? Literally refused service and I'm sick and this needed to go out today and I did not need to drive over here to get treated like this because they feel like locking up early today. read more

Lost my package, told me it's my fault for an employee -- dropped off a package on a Saturday afternoon, the employee refused to give me a receipt for my drop-off because they were closing soon. They lost the package, there's no record of the pre-paid label I'd attached ever being scanned, and when I came back in person to see if the package might still there -- the guy at the desk (Hi Joe!) told me it was my fault for "abandoning" my package there. I didn't leave it outside a firehouse in a blanket, my dude. I walked into your store and handed it an employee. If you want something shipped here, you should probably just wait around and load it onto the truck yourself. read more

Where do I start: absolute clown show with the folks working here. They don't know which way is up and unless you walk in with an unpaid package and you want them to send it for you, they've got zero interest in assisting you. They don't like prepaid packages (they don't get paid) and they can't answer any questions for you about your UPS package because, well, they have "nothing to do with UPS" according to the complete moron working there on a Saturday morning. I came in and was a bit nervous because there was only one person up front (the other young lady was taking a break for what seemed like too long). However, when I got to the front I was so impressed with Rebecca and her dedication to making me feel so important. She was fast, professional, friendly and knew exactly what to do. It is so difficult to have good young customer service people but having her go above and beyond to be patient and friendly was amazing. We recently visited this location for our shipping needs and we're reminded once again why we never use this location! The service is always slow, the staff is generally undertrained for their job duties, and the manager, Joe is so rude. I find it in contrast to all the other UPS locations where the managers are so kind and helpful, and staff are always smiling and friendly. If you need to ship something there is a USPS right across the street on Eagle Rock Blvd and another UPS location that is fantastic on Colorado Blvd. The staff here are busy certainly, but at only 20% speed and effort there's always a line out the door, and employees not utilizing every available station despite obvious customer needs. In our most recent visit, Amazon inadvertently gave us a QR code that was for "customer packed" instead of store packed, and we had other QR codes in the same transaction that were correct (three transactions total). We expected a quick drop off so we did not have any cash for purchases on our person. We already had all items boxed and ready to go. We just needed to make sure the package was completely closed and at no risk of opening. Most UPS stores, in seeing the situation, would make a one time exception and offer some support. We were able to use two UPS receipts from our two other drop offs to completely close the top of the box, and the package felt quite secure. We still needed just a little more from the UPS store to get the package finished and 100%, which most managers would do, at any location at any business. Joe had other ideas- he not only would not help, pointing to the policy on the wall, he escalated the situation unnecessarily through his language and behavior. As his emotions got involved he actually, in the middle of the conversation, threatened police and arrest. We were calm the entire time and were only trying to seek clarification on the situation, and trying to problem solve, with the package so close to being fully taped (needed another 4 inches or so of tape), yet no cash on hand to do what Joe was asking. We even kindly stepped out of the way so they could continue helping another customer at the station. There are so many ways to deal with times customers legitimately need your help. If I had brought cash with me of course I would have reluctantly paid. As it was I was unable to ship out my package, and we lost significant time for our business. With just a little bit of kindness and help Joe could have been our hero. But instead he chose to argue over such a small fee. I really hope he finds it in his heart this holiday season to help people out and do better next time. Please see their tone deaf response below if you need to see how they conduct business at this location. A manager should never escalate situations nor attack character or intent, but Joe did all of the above. He continues to do so, even when given the chance to collect himself and reflect on how he could have handled it better. UPS can and should do better in helping Joe problem solve situations and be less combative when situations do inevitably come up during the course of business. read more

Overcharges the customers. I had to call UPS customer support regarding the issue. Even customer support said this service should have been free. But because this is a franchise location, they have their own policy so they charge the customer something that UPS normally does not charge. read more

I went over to this UPS store to return an Amazon package. When they mentioned that they would put a piece of tape on the box for $1.50, I said I'll come back at another time. As I was walking away a customer said here I have some tape and you can use it if you want to. I did try to tape the package with the regular scotch tape that the person loaned to me as best I could. The clerk said do you have a scan code to which I said yes and he requested that I show the code. First though, I asked if he thought the tape was sufficient and he said no that he did not think it would make it. When I asked him why are you asking for the scan code then, he started getting rude and shouting about me not following their procedures. I noticed a few other people here on yelp have complained about this. From my viewpoint it is part of a bigger picture. Once upon a time in America throughout the 1960s and even into the 1970s, good service was the norm almost everywhere you went. And now we have very poor service and pennypinching being the norm in most places and it certainly includes this crummy UPS store. I wonder if the $1.50 charge is the same throughout the UPS store system or is it only this poor service UPS store in Eagle Rock. read more

I feel kind of weird writing a review of a UPS Store, but this store is my favorite! Parking is pretty easy as they are located in a shopping center with other businesses. But my favorite thing about this location is how fast the customer service is. I've been to other locations where there is one employee helping customers and one (or more) employees doing stuff in the back while there's a long line. Not here! Every time I've gone in, the line (if there is one at all), moves super quickly and the employees are fast and helpful. I don't think I've ever been in this location longer than 5 minutes! read more

Brand new UPS Store close to home. Daniel, the manager, is a very nice and helpful guy. I got a small post box there to receive my packages since I've had 3 stolen from my doorstep in the past year. Very happy, only wish they stayed open until 8pm since some Amazon deliveries are attempted between 7 and 8pm and also because I work long hours and 8pm would be more convenient. read more
