I'm going to write my review before reading any others about this post office, but I can already tell why it has such a low rating. I had a few packages I needed to send out with pre paid labels on them. One of them felt a little heavy so I wanted to make sure I had enough postage on it. There were only two employees working the counters when I went. The Asian woman called me over. Instead of a plexiglass divider, like the ones they have at the bank, it was a fogged up shower curtain with tape acting as the separator. The layout is strange because I still had to reach around to hand her my packages. She takes them and says, "Oh no. You need to pay more for this one. This isn't enough," rudely. I told her, "That's why I'm here. I wanted to make sure I had the correct amount." She was snooty and disrespectful. Her attitude wasn't necessary.

To the idiots working at the counter today who do not what media mail and refusing to send out my educational books . And if you have any fragile packages make sure not to get the older angry Asian lady she is too lazy to get out of the chair and will just toss it to the bin that a little aways from her . I do believe she broke one of my items before as I reported it but she continues this bad habit . There is a nice younger Latina lady that's helped me out in the past but I have not seen her the last few times and now I just drive to Glendale where I have had better experiences.

My mail that I dropped off, which included some checks, were stolen and forged after I dropped them off at the York Post Office box. After reporting this information to the York Post Office employee, I was told that I needed to go to the Eagle Rock post office because they are the ones that handle the mail. I went to the Eagle Rock post office and had one of the worst customer service experiences there. I spoke to a woman who worked there about my situation and I asked her if I could fill out a report about my stolen mail/forged check since my bank encouraged me to do so. However, the worker said that there was nothing they could do, and seemed to brush me off. I again inquired if there was some way to document this and she looked at me like I was bothering her, even though no one else was in line. She ended up scribbling a number for me to call and just told me to call them. I can't believe people like this are in a customer service type of position. At the very minimal, I wish this employee had acknowledged or apologized that this happened to me and offer the phone number to call instead of having me pry that information out of them. Pros: -Nothing Cons: -Horrible customer service -I'm not sure where my mail was stolen and my checks forged, but I'm sure it was from this post office since another customer overheard my conversation and said the exact same thing happened to her

I've experienced the stereotypical postal clerk attitude many times over. Understandable to a degree, but a deviation from this is always appreciated. Unlike many locations in LA, parking is not a chore. There is a small parking lot behind the building as well as metered street parking and the location is conveniently right on Figueroa. The inside is clean, well-stocked and organized. I never have to approach the counter and ask if there are any more medium size flat-rate boxes. While I wouldn't call this a quiet branch, if you go in the later afternoon, there is rarely a line. When there has been a line, it moves. An older gentlemen was in front of me today on my visit and it made me smile inwardly to hear the clerk conversing with him while processing his purchases instead of barely acknowledging him and rushing him away. This brings me to the customer service. When I've had a question, I haven't been given a snippy answer and left to figure it out on my own. I also have not been made to wait in line all over again when I needed to do something simple like fill out a shipping label. This is a breath of fresh air and I don't leave feeling harried and agitated. Good branch overall. I wish this was the norm.

I live in a front house our mail always ends up everywhere but inside my mailbox. My address is clearly visible on the front of my house as well as my mailbox and still problems occur. The most upsetting part is when two different packages of mine never get delivered and yet I receive a DELIVERED confirmation on my cellphone. Now I have to rely on honest and kind neighbors to forward my packages to me. Why does this keep happening? There are standards and testing that are given before working for a government job and yet this type of things continue. Please have some accountability!

Today, he gives me a form saying they can only scan 3 labels in. Then he points at the camera and tells me the camera up there verifies only 3 items has to be scanned." Wtf? Seriously! This guy is older with a mullet hair style, white and grumpy. This is not a lie, no where in the form said he can scan in 3 items and that I have to leave it on the counter. Thanks to Adam Schiff, Glendale City Council, and the Glendale Historical Society for fighting to preserve this Italian Renaissance-styled landmark in 2013. It's beautiful and convenient enough for renewing our passports. The online reservation system works wonderfully, and I highly recommend it over dropping in. Even with a reservation, you may still wait for a while before having your number called. Tip: Bring a book and your patience so you don't get unhinged. People actually get cray-cray in line so again, pack your patience. We were fortunate enough to have the nice, petite Asian lady help us. She's always been wonderful. The other clerk is rough around the edges and true to the disgruntled postal worker stereotype. I know it wasn't just a bad day for her. Every time I've dealt with her in the past, she's been rude. So don't take it personally if she gets under your skin--it's just her way of customer service. There are three of us and we've renewed our passports several times at this particular location in the last 5 years. Since we have history with this USPS location, I figured it's about time to share our experience candidly.
