Previous post was a big negative but deleted by admin. Had shot them down previously because previous staff did not give me a receipt for proof of shipment. Was told that if it's prepaid they won't give one to you and that you can just take a picture. The mail delivery employee did not attempt to deliver my package containing prescription medication to my house. I had already missed a day and if I didn't take it, the next day, I could have suffered a stroke. Today was the next day and I got a notification at 4:37PM that the package was attempted to be delivered but the customer (me) Requested to be held at the post office. That is false. I never requested it to be held at the post office. I paid for the expedited service to be delivered to my house to prevent complications by not taking the medication. I rushed over to the post office and arrived there at 4:59 PM. The doors were already locked. There was no one else but me and the lady that was locking the door. I asked politely if I can pick up my package please. She said no we're closed. Come back tomorrow. And now I have to miss another day and I will rush there in the morning to go pick up my package. If I make it through the night without having a stroke. I would give it a zero review cause they don't even deserve one star. There should be violations for this type of work ethic. The post office is a customer driven business without human beings the post office wouldn't exist. It's not only about customer service. It's about being human and understanding what it means to take care of people's mailing needs. Seems like nobody cares about customers needs at this post office. The Mail delivery person didn't care and the person inside behind the counter obviously does not care. I know there's nothing I can do but writing this review hopefully wakes somebody up. read more

Someone tell me what's going on. Mom is moving into a new construction townhome community where there are cluster mailboxes. The property manager told her to go to the post office for keys and the post office not only said they had no idea what she was talking about and that they couldn't even confirm if the address was active and receiving mail even though she has an email from usps with a change of address request processed. I have 5 cameras in my front yard and you never came to my door. I signed up for a redeliver and you ignored the request. If a customer paid for the certified mail delivery service you should be providing that service. You should also be telling the truth on written documents relating to the USPS mail services. These businesses are just going down hill. This branch has not only tried to charge me a air charge package on a ground package, I have had multiple packages not delivered but said they were when I was waiting,told that some were undeliverable(they were not) they were to lazy to deliver it so you have to spend gas to go get it not to mention having to wait over 20 minutes, taking days for mail to go out and not to mention the guy with glasses is usless. Paying someone to be there with a line out the door and can't do anything. So lazy and non trusting and they could not care less..I would rather deal with UPS, plus ups is cheaper majority of time... read more

They literally have one job in terms of deliver. Look at the address on the item in your hand, look at the address on the receptacle and/or house and make sure both of them match before shoving it in or leaving the package. That's LITERALLY it. They get three stars for being the best shipping service in this country, but they lose two stars for being very, very, very, very slow. Highly understaffed inside. There was no enforcement of social distancing here at all! Customers were shoulder to shoulder waiting in line and at least one customer was coughing although he had a mask on. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe standing in line. If not for me needing to take care of something right away I would have left and went to another post office. If businesses like this are not taking the pandemic seriously and enforcing CDC recommendations then how can others such as their patrons do so? read more

I waited 40 minutes by the mail box for an important mail to come. The post guy did not show up at his regular arrival time. Then I left and found the mail guy was chatting with neighbor on the next street, not business related. I waited by the post man and the conversation did not stop after 8 minutes. I finally approached the mail guy and asked, "sorry to interrupt the party here and can I pick up a mail? I have my ID with me". This mail guy, his name is Justin, he said, " I can't dig into my mail and I am already late today". I asked, " if you could just open up the cart and I will tell you immediately which package it is. It is a small white package with a label on it. I can immediately tell you which package it is." Justin refused again. I've never been turned down by any post man or post office like that. So, since when chatting on your job is allowed and picking up mails with IDs is not allowed. I do not know picking up a mail 50 yards from the mail box with an ID will do any one any harm. It is just super rude for a post guy like this to ruin the USPS company image. Btw, the other post guy with a beard who serves my community in 95337 is very nice and very helpful. Customer service here is horrible, if I can give them negative stars, I would. The only good thing about this place is Chaka (I probably misspelled it), she helped me more then once. Let me set the scene, I recently moved to Manteca in May, so far your average everyday mail does get delivered around 11:30ish is my area, union and Crom. I have made 3 online purchases, 2 from Amazon and one from another company, both places used USPS to deliever my packages, now 1 OF 3 only made it to my house. One was delivered perfectly, the second one was delivered one to my neighbor, who was kind enough to bring me my property. The the 3rd was delivered and placed in a Parcel Locker, they didn't leave me the key. By the time I checked my mail the post office had closed and I had to go into the physical building on Saturday. Saturday rolls in and I was greeted by Chaka behind the counter, she promptly got my information and took my phone number down and said I would receive a phone call from the supervisor as soon as he gets my package. Nothing. Sunday, obviously theyre closed. Monday I go in around 1 PM and I'm greeted again by Chaka, she was upset that I didn't recieve my call as she was told, but I spoke with another supervisor and was informed that the carrier DID in fact forgot to leave the parcel lock, and to come back at 5 PM...when they're closed. Today. Tuesday the 11th, I call into the post office and spoke with ANOTHER supervisor who asked me for my Tracking number of my package. I gave her all the information she requested of my and she told me that she would call me back within 30 minutes...nothing. I then proceed to head BACK INTO THIS OFFICE FOR A 3rd time within 5 DAYS! I am then greeted by the second supervisor who informed me of the carrier mistake, only to get on her phone and call the other 2 supervisors and they're playing hot potato with my situation. The carrier then was called and said she "Did in fact 100% put key into my mail slot, after I called her lie and then back tracked and said that she went to my parcel locker, removed the item and physically walked it to my house and knock on my door and place on my porch. Again ladies and gentlemen, another lie... After I then again called her lie, my patience was then broke, I asked to write a report with someone and get a claim number so I can go back to the company I bought my items from so I can either get a refund and/or another package shipped to my grandparents address, and she said that there was nothing she can do I then demanded to speak with someone who can make things right and asked that THEY pay for my lost...no excuse me, STOLEN package. All with a straight face and went back to "sir my carrier said blah blah blah blah" I then had to turn around and leave before I embarrassed myself in public. Moral of the story this office and the Supervisors and this particular "new" carrier have been nothing but a headache. Open Saturdays is very helpful. Sometimes you just don't have enough hours during Monday through Friday to get your mailing done. It's nice to know that in Manteca you can get an open satellite office and still talk to a postal worker to get your package mailed out in time for the holidays. Except for today.....I'm sending out on Christmas eve. Oh well at least I still can get mail out today. read more

I ordered a package that was not able to deliver to my home and they said I could pick it up at the annex post office in Manteca. I called to see if my packages were there but did not have my tracking number on me so the lady said there was nothing she can do and that they would send it back. I called back 5 min later with the tracking numbers she put me on hold then disconnected my call and would no longer answer the phone. I then tracked my package that was just delivered today and ready for pick up but after she got off the phone with me at 3:05 pm my package was marked returned to sender by 3:08 pm. So she looked up my package by my address which she said she could not do and returned it to sender. It was gifts for my son's Christmas. I hope it made you feel good being such a grinch lady! I would have picked it up right away if you would have just told me it was there. read more

My mail was vandalized with key arbitrarily left in key hole. I went down to the usps in industrial ave in Manteca and they put a hold and request for new kick and key. I was told I'd have to pay $50, that was absurd, then they held my mail, that's fine however I was expecting a article of mail because I have the app. It's accurate from my experience. I walk into usps and they hand me my mail, it wasn't not what I expected. Went back into to office & the manager on duty advised she would not call carrier that I had drive around and find him. She gave me an 800 to file complaint. I find the carrier and he had my mail that should have been held in office due to lock change. I should not have had to drive my area look for carrier & he tells me well if u catch me will see if I have ur mail. So stood by in 100' weather and sure enough he handed me the parcel I was waiting on. Usps failed in providing the follow through as per lock and mail hold then gave me an 800 & all along carrier had mail. Which I had already gone to office to get mail. The lock has not been changed going on 2 weeks and my mail is either in office or I have to drive my neighborhood and wait for carrier and ask him directly. A CSR Joe actually called carrier prior and they delivered my mail to the door. The manager would not carrier that day and I was to retrieve my mail directly. I have a case or service request number 23113105 not resolve yet. Regarding with my daughter's package. they said the item was delivered at the front door at 12:23 pm on February 12, 2021 in Manateca Ca 95337, but the was not delivered. If they delivered it, it supposed still the our front door because most of our package was still at front door at that time receiving from amazon, and fedex and all of the packages are still at our front. The only packaged that I haven't received the package from USPS. I filed a complaint and up to now I haven't received any response from them. If they really do the investigation. read more

I cannot stand that this location is my home post office. They have unapologetically let me down over and over. The most recent frustrating experience I've had with them was that I was not home for an (unexpected) certified letter delivery. The notice (that is supposed to be left on the door) I found in our mail box (and our Ring doorbell captured no attempt at their knocking on our door). This was on May 25th (the Friday of Memorial Day weekend). I was given the option to reschedule delivery, I did so online for Tuesday 5/29 (yesterday). I sat in my house ALL day waiting for the mailman to deliver the certified letter. No delivery, don't know why I was surprised. This has happened before. And no update on tracking either. So, I had to drive down to the post office today. Because of course, they don't answer their phone. Guess what, it was there. Just sitting there. Ridiculous. It seems this place sort of makes of their own rules, all the employees are in a rush, condescending, RUDE, in a hurry to interrupt you while speaking and unmotivated. Nothing will change, of course, but if you're reading this, I'm sure you came here because you are also frustrated and have been inconvenienced by them too! read more

My package never arrived to the address in Manteca. Since the Manteca post office DOES NOT answer their phone, I contacted the national office. I was told the package was delivered to the wrong address and so the package is no where to be found, sorry, nothing to be done. Two issues: (1) The Manteca office DOES NOT answer their phone ever so do not even bother to try calling. (2) The post office has no responsibility when they admit to delivering your package to the wrong address. Completely incompetent - and No One Cares! The USPS should be privatized. read more

The staff at this office is impossibly LAZY!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't matter what time of the day you call they will NEVER pick up the phone!!!!!!! And then there is an issue of delivering package when online the status was already in and the date of delivery is supposed to be today but they wont for reasons that i am sure is just to cover their lazy asses!!!! My package has been in your facility since yesterday 3.15.16 at 11:12 AM TUESDAY and today is WEDNESDAY already and the mailwoman had left and delivered all mails at 3:20pm. NO PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!! There really should be a ZERO star option on yelp! There is some serious fraud and theft happening here that must be an inside job. In January everyone on our street was contacted by a police detective after arresting two people who had ALL OF OUR MAIL. The mail box had never been broken into and the post office acknowledged that "someone had master keys". They did nothing to secure our mail. Fast forward a couple of months and we receive an empty package that had been re-sealed. Tried to talk to the manager again; she was no help. Then, the mail carrier shoved the entire streets mail into my box. This has happened several times and we never know who's mailbox our mail will be in. Then, another package "disappears" but is marked as delivered. Once again, manager can't help me. I've opened a PO Box at the main post office but any forwarded mail has to go through the annex. Now, I receive very little mail. We have even had our mail "returned to sender; undeliverable" and found this out as I notify people that we are not receiving our mail. I guess this won't end until I have ensured that every single person who sends me mail has my new PO Box address. We have had the US Postal Inspector involved and I will be calling him again to see if he can help. read more

Absolutely horrific!! I've lived in Manteca for the past 8 yrs. My address is serviced out of the Industrial Park 0ffice. My service e was fine until this past year. At Christmas the post office tells me that the packages I was expecting, were indeed delivered and 'dropped' at my front door! Really??? I AM HOUSE BOUND AND AM HOME 24/7!! AT NO TIME did the carrier ring my bell or knock on my door for delivery!! My front door cannot be seen from the street, so even perchance this moronic carrier DID 'drop' my packages at the door, no one would know they were there so they would be easily stolen! Today, I went to my mailbox to retrieve my mail, and lo-and behold, there was a notice that there was a certified letter addressed to me that he DID NOT attempt to deliver, but rather, left this notice instead of ringing my bell and having me sign for it right then and there! Now I need to make arrangements to have someone pick it up for me!! I've spoken to the Post Master for this branch (Anne), and she's so apologetic, but has made so many excuses for the carrier that's it's not funny!! Excuses such as he may have been in a hurry: he surely rang the bell and perhaps you didn't hear it: there was a substitute carrier on that route today; etc., NONSENSE!! And THIS is the 'service' that we've been threatened will cease, due to the lack of business the USPS has experienced in the past few years! Perhaps if the level of service were better in quality and reliability, business would increase! And if the laxidasical attitude of the carriers/employees were dealt with in a acceptable manner (reprimanded or fired for poor performance!), everyone would be better off!!! read more

I've lived in our home off of Woodward for about 6 months. In those 6 months, I've had packages delivered to the wrong address (thankfully, our neighbors are nice enough to return to me). I've had packages scanned as delivered to my mail box but to my surprise...no package was delivered. Now today I was expecting a package which shows was delivered but there's nothing in my mail box. I've had several packages go missing and when I've attempted to call the local post office inquiring as to the whereabouts, the phone goes unanswered for hours. The staff isn't very helpful. All they can tell me is that I'll have to call back tomorrow (hopefully someone answers). I understand human error but all the time? These packages cost me money and for many, I can't be reimbursed. The post office by my house was immpossible to get an appointment at. This newer postal office is typically staffed with friendly helpful faces. We love our postal worker. They hold mail for people on request, and have been diligent in stopping mail crime in our city. Very greatful to have this gem of a postal office. read more
