I would like to provide feedback to your store located in Manteca on Main Street. I was told twice by a specific employee ( possibly manager) that she would not release my package unless the ID matched the package. I went in at different times using my official ID and was released packages before by other employees without a problem. My ID still has my maiden name and correct address on my packages. In addition, I did not specially ask for my packages to get delivered the UPS point but was somehow automatic in the system. I did try multiple times to have the employees look into it for me to get it corrected with no solution but to call the 1 (800) 742-5877 customer service number. I did call the 1 (800) 742-5877 number as well with very poor solution to my problem of my packages not getting to my house. I would like you all to consider as a company the compassion of women changing their names after getting married takes some time through drivers license and social security. That other forms of legal proof should be considered. I was not given that option of other forms of ID to consider that can be helpful for accepting packages. This location provides notary services so they should at least be trained and familiar with different forms of ID for proof. This location does not provide good quality service and I really hope to never have to go back to this location. read more

I am very saddened and disappointed with the attitudes of the employees at this location. I was standing in line and an employee who looked to be a Hispanic lady with dark hair and a black necklace (since she did not wear a name tag, I can only describe her as best I can), said to me, "How can I help you?" in a rude tone. Before I could even respond she walks to the back of the store. I was left standing there for a while and when she finally returned, she asked me again, "How can I help you?" again in a very rude tone. I told her I was doing an amazon return. As I put my item on the scale and showed her my phone to scan, she started to get very frustrated and asked me to bring my phone closer. Not only did I do as she requested, but I also enlarged the QR code for her. As I put my next item on the scale and showed her my QR code she said, "Oh my god, I am asking you to do the same thing." I told her it was no okay for her to speak to me in that way. She then yelled at me saying, "You can take the rest of your return somewhere else." I was so shocked that I asked another Hispanic lady with light brown (almost blonde) hair if there was a manager. This lady then said to me, "We have been having a bad week." I then replied to her, "That is not an excuse to be rude to customers." I then asked another lady who looked Indian, but she also would not give me the name of the manager or employee who was rude. As I was leaving the store the Hispanic lady with the dark hair yelled to me saying, "Complain to whoever you want because the manager is not going to do anything." I will definitely not be coming back here. If I need to ship something I will be taking my business to Fedex or USPS from now on. This UPS store had been excellent for several years. Recently, however, we have had serious problems involving packages which the UPS store claims they gave us, but which we did not receive. Because we live in the country and get our packages delivered to the UPS store, it is not uncommon for them to hand us several packages at a time. Now they are claiming that they gave us packages (which we did not receive) and say that we signed for them. Since no one receiving packages at a UPS store opens them in front of the clerks, we had no way of knowing that the items they were claiming we had gotten we did not get. This happened twice in the space of one week. The first package was for a steering wheel cover from Amazon, and we were willing to believe that it was a simple error. However, the second package, is a custom made leather purse from Etsy. It is a large tote bag and could not be missed or easily lost under other packages. They are insisting that we signed for it, and therefore we received it. This is not true. I am fed up trying to deal with the UPS. Customer service claims online since they only offer a way to file a claim for packages that were shipped by UPS and not for ones that were delivered to a UPS store. If there is a way to file a claim for such a package, they are definitely not making it easy to find. Worse, I was told by the people at the UPS store that their manager would call me to discuss the problem. I have heard absolutely nothing from them since then. My impression of their customer service is also not improved by the fact that they originally tried to claim that the two packages has probably been misdelivered, even though I had tracking numbers showing that they had received them. Then, when I insisted that they had, in fact, received these packages, they claimed that they had given them to us. It's weird how the story suddenly changed. Considering that we pay a great deal of money every month to receive packages at their site, and have done so for many years, this is pretty crappy customer service, if not downright fraud. I am still pursuing this claim with UPS and will update this review once it has been resolved, one way or the other. If they don't do something to make the situation, right, I will pursue filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau or any other appropriate agencies. Meanwhile, if you receive packages from UPS, you better be sure that you actually check every number on every package to be sure that they're actually giving you the things they claim they're giving you. It's sad to know that trust just isn't wise these days. Oh, and one last thing, a lot of the reviews for this place mention how wonderful Ana is. She was fantastic, but she doesn't appear to work there anymore, and the problems that we've had came after she left. read more

I have been using this store for years, sending monthly shipments with high values. I needed a recipt and it must have been the end of the world for this location. They would not even attempt to look in their system for a 1.5 month old receipt and when I called, the passive aggressivness started. I was put on hold for over 15 minutes and never got what i needed. Management of this place has been going downhill. Good luck, you no longer have this corporate account. Update: I was sent the receipt via email. This was after I was told, they could not get it, that I needed to come to the store to pick it up and they would charge me for sending the email. I requested to return an item from Fedex. I was able to return things from Fedex in the past, but they turned me away and said I needed to go to the Fedex in Safeway. Twice, they've done well for me. I went to drop off my phone to be returned to Sprint, with a prepaid label. They were helpful, even though they didn't receive money. Today, I needed to work through my Volkswagen diesel buy back, and needed the offer letter printed at first. Then, I needed to sign it, and have it notarized. Afterwards, I needed it scanned and put into .pdf format so that I could send it back to Volkswagen. The store has a Notary Public and printing and scanning are part of their services. The person who was the Notary Public took care of every step and made sure that it was done properly, learning from a previous experience. I had an order from Lenovo - which I cancelled, but Lenovo billed me and shipped the parcel regardless - that was shipped via UPS. I returned the parcel to UPS and directed them to return it to the sender, as it was a cancelled order. Lenovo claims they don't have the parcel, and refuse to refund me. Thanks to this store's inability to understand such basic directions as "return to sender," the parcel is in limbo, and I am out roughly half a grand for a laptop that I don't possess. 0/10, don't trust this business to handle parcels or basic directions. read more

This Location is located right next to Safeway in Manteca. It is a small little UPS store however there are many people who visit this location so be prepared to wait. With that being said the ladies who work at the store are very efficient and do their very best to get people in and out. Had a very poor experience just now at the UPS store, two young ladies made it very difficult for me to just send us one small package, we're very rude and short with me. Cashier who is helping me told me to email it to the UPS store and pointed to the email on the front of her computer screen but didn't specifically point to the one I need send it to. This review is for the Notary service. I brought my mom in today so that she could have her Advanced Healthcare Directive signed and notarized. The Notary Public had no reason to ask me for my name and refuse to notarize the document my mother was there to sign if I didn't give my name. I know a notary needs to look over the document for blank spaces but she was READING it (this is a very personal document) and asked my mother personal questions and then she demanded that my name be listed in her Notary book or she wouldn't notarize the document. My mom's sister just passed away on Sunday in my mom's home which is why it was so important for my mom to get this document legally signed. This person was so terrible (even used curse words in front of my elderly mother in the store) and made both me and my mother feel like she was judging us because I was the first person listed on my mom's directive by my mothers choice and I was the one that drove her to UPS and assisted her into the store in her wheelchair to sign the document. She gave us a BOGUS legal lecture!!!! Where is the ADA when you need it? We ended up having another Notary there or else we would have left. I didn't know that getting a license to be a Notary was equal to a law degree in the state of California. This person was condescending, rude, and made my mother very uncomfortable.
