I've been coming to the Mount Clemens Post Office since I started selling on eBay over 20 years ago. The building hasn't had any major upgrades and there's never more than 3 people working at a time, but I don't really mind any of that. There's something comforting about the old school familiarity. The self-serve kiosk in the front lobby is a nice addition. I don't have a printer, so I when I buy postage for a package online I get a QR code. You can scan it at the kiosk for a label and receipt, and I've never had to wait in line to do so. One star off because the mail is often SLOW and poorly sorted. I receive coupons after they've expired, bills once they're almost overdue and often get mail addressed to my neighbors. I always, ALWAYS deliver the mail to the correct person, but no one has ever once brought my mail to me. And I know my mail has gone to the wrong place because I've not received anticipated important pieces before like checks, credit card statements and Social Security notices. Since my neighbors are apathetic, selfish assholes I really need my post office to get things right. Not about this location, but I do recommend getting a USPS account. You receive email notifications about packages coming to your address. I've found this service to be really accurate and prompt. read more

I get my mail long after 5:00 and usually every other day. Sometimes every two days. When the mail man comes, he is very very nice, polite and helpful. However, there are no subs and no extra help. WORST post office ever. I've lost multiple packages bc of them. Cheryl at the front desk was a complete waste of my time. She couldn't tell me anything other than "I don't know what to tell you." Excuse me, I thought I was offering an opinion regarding the entire USPS, which is going to hell in a hand basket. My last received package was so late I had gotten a refund. USPS (not this one everyone else is reviewing) had torn the mailing envelope in transit. They finally mailed it to me in another envelope, both envelopes being their own design. Their apology suggested that the sender (not me, the recipient) be more careful in packaging. Now I have been expecting a thin book from Columbia, Missouri for 37 days. Here in Atlanta, because it is MLK day, there is to be no mail delivery. Yes, Yelp, I'm on a roll. I have one other thing to add: Why is there no cancel on this? The window clerks are amazing and do a wonderful job at handling the pressure and stress of long lines and understaffing especially during an unprecedented pandemic. I applaud all of you. Someone really needs to look into the Mt Clemens Postal Service. The missing mail is becoming more and more frequent. In January I sent a check to Harrison Twp which hasn't been seen since. A couple weeks later I got a letter addressed to a woman in Royal Oak. Then today I got a letter from the court saying I failed to appear for jury duty. They said they mailed the notice in January but of course I never got it. This is just from 2019 and each year it seems to happen more often. On my street we don't even have a regular mail carrier. My mail gets lost and I get other people's mail in my box all the time. And sometimes 2-3 days pass and I get no mail and then I'll get a stack of mail. read more

I have lost four packages within the last month because of this post office. They delivered three of them to the incorrect address and one was outright stolen. The fourth was an international delivery they held and didn't tell me about. Nobody answers the phone when you call so you have to go in person. They have done absolutely zero to rectify my situation even though I have contacted them several times. I was just out of luck with the stolen package because since it was marked as delivered (but to the wrong address) I couldn't get a refund. They are incompetent. read more

This is Sept.4,2021. I didn't receive my mail for a week. I have a package that has been there since August 29, I went to the PO and was given a handful full of mail and was told the package was out for delivery. When mail ran yesterday another bundle of mail was stuffed in my box. No package. I have bills that is due so I will have late fees added and my credit score will be affected. This is got to stop. I can't run to the PO to pick up mail because of medical issues. This PO is a nightmare. read more

I was notified that a package was delivered to my door at 1:06 pm at 1:20 pm I looked on my porch and no package was there. I have been trying to contact the United Postal office and I was told that there was an hour to hour in a half hold time after 20 minutes (3 separate times) the phone hung up. I have been living in Clinton twp. for the past 40 yrs,in that time we have had to many problems with the pick up and delivery of our mail and packages sent through the Mt. Clemens post office. The most current problems of not getting our mail lately.We have had to pay late fees on credit cards and utility bills because the post office never delivered the mail.I also my prescriptions drugs come by mail and a couple of times were shipped to Mt. Clemens post office but never received them to my home.We have also had our mail put in the mail box with the flag up for 3 days and never picked up by the mail person and to take it to the post office mailbox.Most times our mail is delivered late in the evening,sometimes around 9-9.30 pm.If it is even delievered. we have gotten mail that was covered with bbq sauce or ketcup which is in estimate is very unhealthy. For those that have chronic issues with delivery carries and are amazon prime subscribers. Heres one thing you can do. Since the USPS carriers aren't delivering the packages in compliance with the prime subscription I am paying for. I was awarded a 15% refund on my order. USPS this location has been not even trying to ring my apt buzzer to inform me they are at my apt, and then saying that they can't make a delivery. Lies. Eventually, Amazon will get tired of paying for this post office mistake. When I voiced this concern in the post office the delivery driver laughed at me. He apparently thought it was funny that the post office lost mail send to me from the VA Hosptial. They also called the police on me when I voiced that I wanted to speak to a manager about the concern, and had me escorted from the building. What kinda garbage is this? I live nearby and have often experienced my mail letters being opened and ripped. It is never sealed properly in a plastic envelope for safe keeping. Someone in the P.O. or delivery have opened my mail that have cards in them. We receive wrong mail all the time, never consistent in mail delivery when our usual person is off... sometimes 6.30 pm. I wouldn't do business here and it's poor quality for the community says a lot of how they look at Mount Clemens area. Always had good experiences until now. New mailman delivered mail at 4:30 yesterday. Today I put out mail to be picked up at noon, and it was picked up at 5pm. I asked the new mailman what happened to my mail lady? He said she got a new route. Why??? She has been on this route for years. Hopefully new mailman will be as good as she was. read more

Just left his post office. Arrived at 10:00 to speak with the supervisor regarding mail that did not appear on the informed delivery site that is offered through the post office. It showed 2 pieces mail that were not scanned but will be delivered. This is an indication that the 2 pieces of mail is mail that need signature. I have visited this office several times with the past 4 months or so due to the mail carrier non delivery in my neighborhood on more than one occasion during times whereas the weather was good enough for delivery of service and not the bad weather days. I went to inquire today about the 2 pieces of mail, I asked for the supervisor who explained and I understood that the mail was sorted and the carriers had received their mail for the day. What bothered and embarrassed me was when she raised her voice before checking on the 2 pieces for me. She said as she grabbed a piece of paper to write my address on in a raised voice with a bad attitude "this is the last time that I am going to do this! I replied, maybe if the carriers ran as they should I would not have to come here. read more

Worst carriers ever!!! At least twice a week I get other peoples mail on another ststreet live in Clinton Twp. One day I got 11 pieces of mail for another person on another street. PO general said leave it sticking out so they can pick it up the next day. Next day carrier pushed it in my box. Went on for 3 days until I seen the carrier and gave it to him. He said I just thought you didn't get your mail from the box. Duh really? Lately I have not been receiving all my bills. And bank statements. In November and then again in December I have mailed payments to various debtors and they have never been delivered. I am quite concerned as to what is going on with Post Office since it has happened once a month I am wary of sending payments out again. I would like to know what is going on at Mt. They do not answer their phone AT ALL!!!! I tried the hold the line option with no success and when you try the extension they call "The postmaster's secretary" you are just cut off. Am trying to get my mail sent out and delivered. Went out to check my mail and my son's graduation invites I was sending out were sitting on the ground, I looked around and saw the postalworker who said she was coming back, had to go get something first, I said ok that's fine. It has been 2 hours and she has not come back to pick them up or deliver my mail. I have been trying to call the post office directly at least 10 times with no success. Have also called the main US post office number which is ridiculous, hold times are 40 to 50 minutes if you can even get that far after having to navigate through unneccesary series of prompts. I have lived in Mt Clemens for about 9 years and Ive had LOTS of problems with the mail here. Carriers just dont give a crap and dont pay attention. Most of them are on their phone EVERY DAY when they deliver the mail. Packages go MIA. Ive had them deliver someone ELSE'S packages to my house, only to come back about 30 minutes later and deliver the packages that were ACTUALLY MINE and not even ask for the other ones back. Ive gotten the neighbors mail that she put in her mailbox stuck directly into mine. Ive had days where they didnt even bother to TRY to deliver the mail because the mail I get the next day was post dated for the day or two before. Today was the final straw. I had a package that was shipped via UPS and was set to be completed by this post office. Hubs was home when it was delivered. I get home from work and low and behold, I have a package with nothing but the letter in it. The product was MIA. Yup. They delivered an EMPTY EFFIN PACKAGE!!!! We had a decent mail guy for about a year, and I desperately miss him, because this replacement is a joke, like MOST of the mail carriers Ive had in the 8 years we've lived here. The government really needs to come in and replace about 90% of the employees as they are worthless! read more

Late mail, late service, poor training of postal sub or part-time carriers. I have complained for years. Supervisors don't seem to care to correct on-going problems for us citizens and taxpayers. Forget to pick up mail that has been flagged. I had one carrier have the nerve to tell me, any cars parked by a curb he passes up not delivering mail for the entire side of the street. No cars even blocked a mailbox. Poor job performances, not caring, thinking their union will keep their jobs and benefits for lousy, incomplete work and efforts. No consequences. Had to call Congress Representatives just to get mail that was paid for with correct postage. Mainly delivery issues that seldom get attention to resolve. Outrageous.
