Nothing ever works in that place went there twice can't accept credit cards machine machines down

I am leaving this review to share a very upsetting and unprofessional experience my mom and I had during my scheduled passport appointment at this USPS location. Our appointment was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. We arrived 15 minutes early, to complete the DS-11 form in person, because I had a question about it and didn't want to make a mistake when filling it out at home. The question was about whether I should mark myself as a student or employed, since I am both working and studying. At 11:03 a.m., the employee assigned to passport services, Matthew, asked what time our appointment was. I told him it was at 11:00 a.m. He looked at the clock, said nothing, turned around, and walked away. We later found out he went on break during our scheduled appointment time, without any explanation. When my mom asked about it, he told us it was "not our business" when he takes his break. We were left standing there confused, with no help, during our own appointment window. Later, another employee, Diana, arrived. Around 11:08 a.m., instead of helping us, she took other customers who were scheduled ahead of us at 11:15 and continued serving them past my appointment time. During the time that was supposed to be our appointment, they were helping other people and went over time with them. I was otherwise ready, but with only 2 people at the desk I couldn't even tell them I was ready, because Diana was busy with someone else. After that, while it was still technically the appointment time of those people who were ahead of us, my mom and I were made to stand in the middle of an empty store "in case" customers with an appointment 15 minutes later might not show up and then they will be able to service me. The store was empty, there was time, and yet our appointment was completely ignored. Somehow, people who were not even there were treated with more respect than us. I have never experienced treatment like this in the United States before, especially for simply trying to make sure official documents were filled out correctly during my own appointment time. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope management takes it seriously so no one else is treated this way. read more

Worst USPS location! Stuff is useless. Said my package should be taped more than I did but didn't even one stripe on it. Just said you have to buy more tape from them and do it yourself. Very bad service. Not going to use USPS at all. Fedex, UPS or even DHL is the only to be used from now on read more

Unsure what is going on with mail carriers who work for this location, but they are not good at delivering packages to the correct addresses, especially in Warrenville! I hope someone can address this issue! read more

The shorter clerk, (White guy, can I say that?) can be very abrupt. It's like he's always annoyed about something. Other than that, the place serves its purpose. read more

The clerk with the grey hair is so rude. I was not rude to him while I was sending back a return but he was very rude while informing me that he can't / won't take my package that had a return shipping label on it because I used the wrong thing to wrap the package. Instead of nicely explaining the rules and maybe help me solve the problem he choose to speak every loudly and embarrass me for not knowing all the rules. I have been in that post office many time and always polite but he is repeatedly rude to customers. read more

What a wonderful experience I had this morning with Ron from the Book Rd. USPS location. I have been unable to confirm our mail hold that is coming up. I had sent not one but 2 yellow hold cards via our mail carrier and had had no luck trying to do the hold on line as the whole process kept repeating the last step, not moving forward and I became frustrated and concerned, wondering if those hold cards ever were received. When I called the main USPS Naperville location, a total of 8 times, it rang and rang and then went to a busy signal, so I tried the Book Rd. location and Ron did the leg work- he got through to the Mail Hold Manager, at the main site and confirmed that my hold request had been received, for which I am so grateful and that's why I want to thank him publicly and give him a 5 star review!! read more

US Post Office - Faces Book Rd - Post Offices Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

No complimentary tape!... seriously, I needed 2 pieces to close a box. For context, the box I was mailing contained educational books so I had to prove what was inside to get the discount for mailing educational material. That is why I didn't close it. Was I offered 2 pieces of tape to close the box. Nope. I had to buy a roll for $4. Poor customer service. read more

Wanted to shout out to Amanda at this location. I had a 2 day priority box I shipped on July 27th that never arrived. I went into this location after 2 weeks overdue and Amanda told me she has seen issues but would take my number and call me if she found out what was going on. I wrote it off as a loss, but to my surprise Amanda called me occasionally to check in even when no progress. When the package finally showed up almost 7 weeks after being shipped, she called me over and over until she reached me to let me know, appologizing when it wasn't her fault. With as many cutomers Amanda has to deal with daily, I thought this personalized service was above and beyond. Thanks Amanda! read more

A federally funded mail service doesn't offer complimentary tape! That is ridiculous, especially when a person is visiting and doesn't live here. Shame on usps! UPS will have my business going forward, they haven't ever hassled me over something like tape. read more

I've mailed several packages from this location. There are usually a few people already waiting in line, but the line moves swiftly. Employees here are prompt, courteous, and happy to provide a tracking number, stamps, or explanations of additional services. This location closes at 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, which has worked out fine so far, but it's good to know if I'm running errands after work to stop here first. To other people who use this post office, specifically the mail drop box outside, SLOW DOWN! This parking lot is used for other businesses, and it seems everyone is in a rush and pretty careless of whether or not someone gets hit. read more

WHAT?! A 5 star Post Office review from ME? I know, this is about the most unlikely event in the world. However, I did have a great experience at this location and thought you might like to know about it (since you're browsing on Yelp and all...). So, we live about an hour from this location. We needed passports for an upcoming trip out of the country, and to be honest all of the post offices around us are less than accommodating. We actually did try to get our passports done at one of our local offices (Villa Park), but after waiting 20 minutes and then having the passport lady slam the door in our faces when we tried to ask her a question, we walked out. We decided to make the trip down to this location instead. We are so glad that we did! Amanda was the post office employee that helped us out with our applications. She was friendly and efficient, and after expecting a lengthy wait like we had before, we were in and out in under 10 minutes! She went through everything with us like a pro, and made sure that we didn't miss anything in our forms, took our photos, and got the packages packed up and processed quickly. We were so pleased with our service and would highly recommend coming here if you need something of a more sensitive/important nature like this. If it wasn't such a long drive, I'd probably just start going here for all of my postal needs! read more

I like this location because you can come in and use the automated machine to mail out packages even if the post office is closed.

I love the post office. Lines move quickly, staff is pleasant and very efficient. You can just drop off packages that already have postage (no need to wait in line). The staff is so good that lines rarely ever happen here! read more

While others might like this branch, I cannot stand it. I've been twice, once for passports and once for general mail. Both times I've had issues with their staff. If I could avoid the post office all together I would. I know I can at least avoid this branch from here on out. read more

Great little post office for dropping of my packages which is usually quite a few, they have the drawer for parcels in the wall that you can just drop them in and go which is great because this little PO is always busy! Very nice, courteous employees too.. read more

ANYTIME they're busy and you call, you will get their fax machine! If no one can come to the phone then why not have an alternative other than a fax machine! Unprofessional and annoying. read more
