Somehow I have managed thus far in life, to never have to utilize a branch of the USPS. Judging from some reviews of other branches, I thought I was going to be entering the seventh level of hell. My fear for my life stands corrected. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by a postal employee at the entrance. He asked me what I needed, which was sending a letter via registered mail. He showed me which forms I needed to fill out, and then directed me to a customer service attendant. The attendant who helped me, as well as the rest of the employees here were all in great spirits and very prompt and courteous. It looks like I landed a winner here. They offer all the normal post office services, which included PO boxes. packing materials, do-it-yourself stamp machines, and a small assortment of greeting cards and gift wraps. read more

Would have gone ZERO stars if it let me. Online website says walk in welcome for passport applications tuesdays, thursdays and Fridays from 10am -1pm. Went there today Friday at 10:30 am and was told they were not taking walk ins as they were all booked for day. Was told they were too busy. I looked at the employee and said are you serious there is literally nobody in building except myself and two employees who were not doing anything. No wonder the USPS is going under it's a typical government facility no different than DMV. They put forth zero effort to help anybody. If you ship a package from this post office, especially the package looks like it might contain something valuable like a cell phone (those mandatory stickers showing it contains a battery, for example) be sure to ship it by a method where the postal employee must provide a receipt. Otherwise, the employees there can feel free to steal it before it gets scanned at a processing facility. Then, it's just gone for good. And nobody at the post office cares or will do anything about it. Speaking from experience. read more

I dropped off my IRS payments on Sunday night and both the outdoor mailboxes (the incredibly large one) and the indoor mail box slots were overflowing! This location must be severely understaffed because it does not appear that anyone worked there on Friday or Saturday to empty the mail pieces. I am very nervous that my IRS payments will not make it. read more

I've been to many post offices in the Chicagoland area and this is the one I dread the most. The wait time is usually more than 15 minutes and they seem to go on forever. Sometimes you'll get 3 cash registers going and it's a quick wait but usually there is sometimes 1 or 2 and the line is 10 people deep and the wait is way too long. Very disappointed in our Bolingbrook Post Office. I ship packages monthly to Deployed Military from my home with a pick up from letter carrier. Letter carrier is not consistent in scanning packages when picked up. Recently picked up 4 packages and only three are tracking. Where is my 4th package? I've contacted the Postmaster at BB post office about the problems, but they still persist. They are not consistent in enforcing policies and practices. Needs oversight. read more

I have been selling many things on Ebay for awhile now. Being a seller, frequent stops at the local USPS is a must. That being said, I'm not very pleased with this particular post office. It's not just one bad experience, there have been several unhappy drop-offs at this post office. For being one of the most favored delivery options for others because of the best prices around, and the very reliable services USPS has to offer, I feel that they should have A LOT more employees taking care of their customers. Walking into the post office, should not take over 20 minutes to finally get service. Walking into the post office should not take over 20 minutes to JUST DROP OFF A PACKAGE THAT HAS BEEN ALREADY PAID FOR AT HOME. Every time, is the same hassle. Pick a number, and wait at least 10, 15, or 20 minutes to finally get called, finally get some service. That to me is a ridiculous amount of time to spend at a post office. They definitely need to hire more employees. It's too busy of a business to only have just 2, or 3 employees catering to a group of 20 or more customers. I deal with the post office as little as I can because their attitudes stink! I do a ton of business online and ship through PayPal and if it's small enough I just leave in my mailbox for "Magic Mike" our mailman who is just great! Not talking about him- I'm talking about the main Bolingbrook Postal office. What is with their nasty, bitchy attitudes? The few nice people that have worked behind the counter don't stay long and the bitchy workers are all still there?!! There is no reason why we or I need to be treated like way when we pay their paychecks! The post office in Bolingbrook & Romeoville is awful. I sent 2 people gifts a week & a half before Christmas, & none of them receive their gifts even though I sent their gifts as a priority. I receive their Christmas gifts and they sent their Christmas gifts through regular mail. So from now on ill only do business online or through FedEx, because this is ridiculous. Please note if going to this post office for a passport- The website says passport hours until 4pm but they close down prior to 4pm. I arrived today at 3:50 and was told I was too late to get a passport. When questioned as to the difference between the current time and their website I was told that they need time to shut down their computers. Pick a different location or make sure you give yourself plenty of time. I would suggest the post office update their site to allow for shutdown. read more

I come here quite often, mostly for stamps. The employees here are friendly and customer oriented. I forget the lady's name, but she always knows how many stamps I need! Really sweet too. Darwin is also friendly and knows his stuff. Even when the line is long, they take care of each customer with care and efficiency. Always a long wait. Staff are nice but prepare yourself to wait as long as the DMV no matter when you go, not just holidays.

The staff is very friendly and it's not their fault that that isn't enough of them to handle the traffic. You will always be 10th in line or worse. This post office was rebuilt not too long ago and now it already looks broken down. I try to avoid this facility if possible. read more

On 12/17/2014 at 5:22pm I sent a package off to VA. I sent it off as first-class mail expected delivery on monday 22/22/14. The package was never delivered, & it was no way to track the package. Usually I do priority mail, and when you do priority mail you automatically get a tracking number. So I assumed that you automatically would get a tracking number if you got a first class mail sticker. Every year I am pleasant to the post office cashiers while the majority of the other customers complain about the line, and threaten to file a customer complaint. My items never reach the VA or PA on time, but usually i am able to track it. So this time im beyond angry because i cant even track my package. So I'll only send my christmas gifts off through UPS next time. read more

Absolutely disgusted! I requested a priority mail package pick up for 8/10/16. This is a package for my overseas military daughter. No pick up, no note as to why not, nothing. I didn't request a specific time for pick up, only during regular mail delivery. How hard is that?! It's been on my porch, which I specified in my online request, since yesterday morning at 7am. Mail carrier has already been by today and still didn't pick up the package! Also, our mail carriers (there are different ones) cram packages in our mailbox instead of taking the time to get out of their vehicle and put them on the porch. The packages aren't meant for the mailbox because they are not small. So the packages are crammed in with the rest of the mail crammed in around it. Very aggravating! read more
