Just watched the mailman drive past my house without stopping. Couple minutes later I got a notification that a package was delivered. Of course there was nothing there. I tracked him down the street and confronted him. Told me it's my problem, go file a claim. Now I have to wait two weeks before I'm ALLOWED to file a claim. Also, it turns out I had another package that is missing as well as who knows what regular mail. read more

I work at a business in Romeoville & we have not received any mail service for 2 days. When called, their excuse was there was a new delivery person & they were slow but on their way. They never showed up. We are waiting for checks to come in, this is unacceptable. read more

I've been there three times WITHOUT SUCCESS to try to enter a change of address for my deceased mother. The first time they said that they needed a document that their website specifically said was insufficient. The second, they processed it after having to get "authorization" from the "supervisor". The third, after the Bedford Park branch sent a letter demanding the same information I'd provided the second time, they ostensibly couldn't process my driver's license through their system for identification and offered no alternative. My mother is dead and all her tax information is going to her old address. Except, her home post office (not Romeoville) seemed perfectly willing to take the word of the people at her assisted living facility that she was dead without any proof and redirect mail (including all the tax year information from January) back to the sender. read more

The Indian lady that works at this post office Sri lanka was extremely rude to myself and my spouse. We went there to get a passport for my twin daughters. Immediately she saw me she was like you are late and didnt want to help out at all. I had to report it to the supervisor but he did not do anything about it. She needs to be fired and not talk to anyone like that. read more

I had a bad experience with one of the staff veronica (black woman) everytime im sending package or mail. Last time we had commotion between us. She talked to me in sarcastic, mean and raising her voice telling me how to do with my package. She is raising his voice. I can't stand the treatment I got so i told she doesn't need to be mean she did talked louder and argue with me. I noticed she only nice to other people esp white guys.. The manager heard us and told me to write a complaint about her which i did. He even apologized for the treatment I got. Some of the people who's in line told me i did the right thing to wrote an incident letter, which i believe this woman has a bad attitude and bad manner towards others. Today I asked my boyfriend to go with me and drop my package. while we're in the line. She is very polite and nice to people ahead of us. When my boyfriend is talking to her she did the same thing, sarcastic and mean. I think she is racist. She only nice to white people.. That's what i observe everytime im going to usps romeoville. That woman name Veronica needs a training on how to deal and talk to people in a friendly and nice way! She needs an angry & stress management training! Veronica is very rude and makes you feel like an idiot. There's no reason to treat somebody like that that's coming in to get a service. Recently, our community postal carrier changed. Since this change, we have had many many complaints in the leasing office that mail is not being delivered correctly, or mail is being placed in the wrong mailbox. Today, the mail carrier has left ALL resident mailboxes open! 292 mail boxes. We have called the Romeoville post office twice now and the boxes are still open. NOTHING is being done. We have called to make complaints and the supervisor is rude and nothing is rectfied. read more

Yesterday my package was out for delivery and then at 4:21 pm it was marked delivered to front desk/reception/mail room. What? My husband and I looked at all of the houses around us to see if it was mistakenly delivered to one of them, it wasn't. I live in a house. So now I have to jump through hoops to prove it wasn't delivered to my house. I should have known this was going to happen. Our regular mail man was off and this was someone I've never seen before. It seems that if a package goes through the Lockport Post office then to ours, the package usually gets misdirected or lost. What is the problem? It's not like you get paid minimum wages. read more

Literally worst first experience ever. I struggle with anxiety and it took me 5 days to get my ass to even make it to this place.. I'm selling some of my art pieces. I had no idea what I was doing at first I thought the lady was going to be nice to me cause she said "can I help you sweetheart" I proceeded to let her know that I had no idea what I was doing blah blah blah and she told me I should know how to label the package because I learned how to do it on letters in 5th grade.then she told me to leave and come back when it was filled out. I'm 21. I also haven't had help since I was 17 I had left a very toxic home so I couldn't ask my mom or stepdad considering neither of them are really in my life . 5th grade was awhile back for me, sorry. She was very rude and sarcastic in my POV. I went to the car and tried not to let myself get to upset as I was shaking because I had started to have an anxiety attack.. I messed up the address and started to get very sad so I literally just left. This is why I don't leave the fucking house. I didn't get her name but it was a very beautiful older black woman. Now I'm going to drive an hour to go drop off my pieces because I never want to feel absolutely ridiculous ever again. read more

If you're in need of a passport I highly recommend making an appointment so you can be seen right away. I made sure I did so the process can go fast. I arrived at the time of my appointment but was turned away because I printed out the application form double sided and the lady Veronica said that I had to re do it and get back in line. Once I got back in line the other lady said that I had to wait and now I'll be considered a walk in because the lady went on lunch. This was very frustrating considering that I booked an appointment and was allocated 15 minutes and it took me less than 5 min to fill out the form. Nonetheless I had to wait for the last up front to assist the other customers and ended up waiting 30 minutes before I spoke up and explained that I've been waiting a long time. I definitely wouldn't come back to this post office ever again. read more

This post office picked up a package of mine with Christmas gifts in it on DECEMBER 13 and did not do an acceptance scan making it look like the company I ordered from printed a label but never sent out the package. Untrue! Now it's either sitting in the back with lazy employees not getting it out for almost two weeks or someone there stole it! Be careful! Untrustworthy carriers and Supervisors who hang up on you when you try to get any answers! Have reported to the postal inspectors! read more

Just had a terrible experience with Marge. She had a bad additude, and I can't seem to understand why she is working there if she clearly isn't a people person. I had a company card, and before I could show my ID she said " What is this? This isn't your card?" It is my company! If she would have seen my ID she would have known that. Here we go again with another fail from this post office. I signed up for informed delivery recently and like being able to see what's coming for the day. Today a very important piece of mail showed up in the daily informed delivery notification...with a picture of the piece of mail that I was expecting. It did not get delivered. I receive mail for other addresses more often than I should, so within 30 minutes of the mail delivery I caught up with the carrier at another address to advise of the situation. I get enough mail of others to fairly assume that my own goes to other addresses just as often. I've seen various drivers recently on the route which doesn't help with consistency and today wasn't the normal driver (if we still have one). I approached and advised of the situation with informed delivery and not receiving the letter. Her first response was "call the sender"...Huh?? I asked why would the sender have anything to do with a letter showing in informed delivery that wasn't delivered. She says "I'm done with the route for the day and don't have it." She didn't ask what it was?..for who?..to where?...or even look under her shoe for it. Completely unconcerned, which is ok as a personal choice I guess, but NOT as a professional, federal employee choice. I ask if maybe she mis-delivered. She says "I'm accurate with my mail, so I doubt that". Now, if all of the other people that I receive mail for live in my house somewhere or just want to use my mailbox, then I need to start collecting rent and a box rental fee. I told her that I get mail for other addresses regularly. I ask what happens next and she maybe it'll come tomorrow and tells me to call the post office. Are we finished, or are we done lol? This post office should be reorganized, re-staffed or closed and an effective postmaster would clean it up. Period. I hope she didn't deliver the flyers that usually come on Wednesday instead of the mail today. People do stuff like that when they hate their job. This is the absolutely extreme worst of 4 post offices in areas I've lived during past 25 years and it's not getting better. The saving grace is knowing that all post offices and personnel are not like this. I get disgusted hearing the rudeness directed at other customers too. Humility is a must, but never enough when dealing with this post office. Sadly it's not just a few individuals. Avoid this place and ironically they just might be happy. Make sense??..?? read more

An employee by the name of Joe was so helpful ! I was waiting to drop off a package and I witnessed him helping an elderly woman buy post stamps and explained to her how that part of the lobby is open 24/7. I didn't deal with him personally but he showed awesome customer service . read more

It's Christmas Eve and I'm still dealing with this place. I've been waiting on packages to arrive FOR CHRISTMAS that were guaranteed by Amazon to be here by now. Since the post office is overloaded for the holiday for several days they are claiming my packages are "undeliverable" and cannot gain access. Yes, again. We all know this is the lie they pull when a carrier is being lazy or doesn't have time to deliver. My address is NOT inaccessible. So now I am out Christmas gifts that should have been here by now. Worst experience I've ever had at a facility. First off I would like to say I will never be doing business with USPS after this experience. This was my first time shipping ANYTHING, so I was a bit clueless on what to do. The clerk, Veronica, was BEYOND rude and unhelpful and made me very upset and angry. It was all thanks to a CUSTOMER that took the time out of her day to help me instead of the employees. The supervisor was standing right there too watching this all happen and did not step in and offer to help or say something to his employee for her rudeness. At the end of the transaction, Veronica said to me that, "I could've saved $8 if I had just listened to her". As a business owner myself, I would have fired both Veronica for being extremely rude and disrespectful, and the manager for allowing this to happen and not stepping in to help someone out. No wonder why this place has a 1 and a half star review! They suck! I'll be going elsewhere to ship my packages, even if I have to pay a little extra to get better customer service read more

this is the worst place to deal with. I had called there about my mail being torn up all the time. when the women answered the phone, she mumbled when she answered with her name. I had asked her to repeat it. she said what did you want. I believe this is not how you are suppose to deal with the public. to finish my experience with her. she was no help. I tried to explain what was going on with my mail. it's torn every delivery, then my mail was sent back to sender saying no such address. address never changed. been there over 30 years. I said she may need to talk to the carrier as far as his job goes. and if he or she is new, they need to do more training. that's called lazy on the carriers part. if your not sure of an address. you should ask. read more
