Let me help you out here because these people will waste your time. If you, like me, are going to this location to simply renew your passport, YELL IT OUT AT THEM. I'm serious. Otherwise, they will ASSUME you are there for the whole process and shuffle you around. The first time I came in I had no idea what line to be in. There were a lot of people waiting on the side that were clearly waiting for passport services but who told them to stand over there? I didn't know so I got in a line only to get to the front and be told to sign my name to a list and move to another line. I did that and when I got to the front of that line I was asked for my birth certificate. I thought that was strange. Why would I need that when I have a WHOLE PASSPORT. Nevertheless I left and returned the next day with the document. I stood in a line until somebody shouted out something about passports. I said I'm renewing not applying. They shuffled me to another line. I finally piped up and said all I need from yall is a photo and a money order. Suddenly everyone was clear. Oh, well you don't need to be in any of these lines. Usps complaint On Tues 7/25/23 around 1154a I came into the store to mail a letter via certified mail. I wrote the return address on the left and the recipient's address in the middle of the envelope at the store, in front of the clerk. The clerk was very nice and friendly. He told me the placement of the return address was acceptable. A wk later I get the letter sent to me instead of the recipient. I go into the store today 8/1/23 around 9 and explained to a different clerk what happened. She said I wrote my return address too low and that address got picked up and that's why it got mailed to me. I needed the letter resent and I asked if I needed to pay again? She said yes because it was MY fault!! I explained the clerk told me it was fine so it's a mistake on the clerks end for telling me the location was fine. She said she was going to get a supervisor then TOSSES the mail into my hand!!! 15 mins later the supervisor comes out and she's nonchalant and tells me I need to pay again and there's nothing she can do!! After the supervisor leaves, the clerk takes the next customer and acts like I'm not still there. She then gives me an attitude!! and tells me I need to complete another slip for the certified mail.. How am I supposed to know that when she didn't communicate that to me?? I don't work at the post office so I don't know the procedures for how something like this gets handled. I wasn't sure if my handwriting was legible and asked if it was acceptable and she said "they" dont look at that.. I wanted to double check again and asked a second time bc I do NOT want to be back at the post office for a 3rd time and she gives me an attitude again !! Were "they" the ones who mailed the letter to the wrong address !?!? After I paid, I'm waiting for her to give me my receipt and she stops to check her apple watch and start scrolling on it!! She hands me the receipt, mentions the survey, and doesn't say anything else.. I'm just standing there because I wasn't sure if there was anything else I needed to do.. I asked her if I was done? She said yes.. NO thank you or anything to let me know I was finished. The return address goes on the left hand side, recipient address goes in the middle, the green slip on the back of the envelope had the recipient's address. None of them wanted to point that out tho! They were so fixated on how "low" the return address was. Spent almost a half hr here, spent extra money for nothing- a ghetto mess ... The issue is the lack of accountability, lack of professionalism, lack of compassion, the attitude -everything altogether only made the situation worse. I understand mistakes happen but fix YALL mistake!! Unqualified workers with no customer service skills! No wonder the post office doesn't get enough business.. read more

I am surprised to see only bad reviews for this post office. I have had nothing but positive experiences here. Yes, you sometimes have to wait in long lines because they get busy but so do all other post offices and federal government offices. And the clerks are always polite to me because I am polite to them. If you walk in there with a chip on your shoulder, how do you expect them to react? I removed two stars for two reasons. First, you either have to pay a meter to park on Rising Sun Avenue or drive five blocks just to park two blocks away on a side street thanks to all of the one-way roads. Second, the neighborhood continues to decline as more low class people continue to populate it (it used to be so nice!). But regardless of the postal product or service needed, this post office is as dependable as any other. And USPS itself is a notch above all other common carriers with respect to prices, reliability, and delivery speed. read more

So rude. I grabbed a mailing envelope from the shelf and when I opened it, it ripped. As I was walking back to the shelf to get another one, a man who works in the back room (who happened to be standing in the lobby) starting hollering at me. "You know you gotta pay for that!" I told him the bag ripped and I was getting another. (Never once did I say anything about not paying. The bag cost like $1.50 or something ridiculously small.) He started walking around the lobby and exclaiming loudly "That lady tripping! She thinks she can come in here and rip something and not pay! She be tripping!" Then, a cashier chimed in! When I told him he should learn how to speak to people, he told be he would be ok if I left and never came back. It was so unprofessional and rude. It didn't even seem real, it was like an episode of Seinfeld. The place is very run down, supplies are somewhat stocked but disorganized and trash and discarded mailing supplies are on tables and the floor. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra couple of minutes to the next closest post office. read more

Oct 24, 2019 I visited the post office on Rising Sun Ave to get information about my passport. The last time I needed a passport was 13 years ago when my daughter's 8th grade graduation class went to Europe. Back then the customer service woman was super nice and so excited for my daughter, she really made our experience a pleasure. This time I felt like I was entering into the prison system. The two women behind the desk looked so mean and angry, like female prison guards, my heart was racing just looking at them. I was the 5th person in line and those two women did not crack a smile, give a friendly hello, or thank you. OMG!!!!!!!!!! I was so scared to be in that post office. When It was my turn I approached the desk but felt scared. Can you imagine going to a post office and feeling "Scared" Well, I was. I was treated very poorly and received no help with my passport, she would't even give me 1 second to ask a question. I cannot believe the manager would put two ladies with ZERO people skills in a customer service position. I will NEVER visit that post office again!!!!!! read more

The lady is SOOO RUDE!! She does not want being friendly or patient to communicate with deaf person. We came for my kids to get passport without my kids. She was not too friendly and gave us bad attitude that she wants my kids has to be present at the post office. I asked her to see if we can get kids right away and she said no and bring them back the next day AND THEN the next day I brought my kids back to the post office. The lady was not nice and said the application that I filed is incomplete. We are deaf parents and frustrated to ask her if she could write down on the note what was she said. She denied and frustrated with us. How can she frustrated with us when she refused to write and we are DEAF And she contribute to speak but then I asked one of my kid to interpreter for us and my kid's father called his sister who knows some sign language. This place is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE with attitude. She needs to change with her attitude and be NICE to EVERYONE!!! I have nothing to say nice to her. read more
