It's kind of weird the leave a review for a post office. Let's all agree on that. But they've been here for us, so let's be there for them in these uncertain times. The post office is that beacon in the dark; keeping the mail moving without reservation or complaint. Full disclosure: I come from a PO family. My grandpa was a postal inspector, my dad is a mail carrier, and I have another handful of relatives that chose to spend their entire careers in the PO. These people are loyal, dedicated and without a doubt some of the hardest working employees out there. Whether you want to send a handwritten note to grandma to catch up, or a card to auntie to see how she's doing...the PO is there for you. And for a few quarters or dollars you can send something across the world. Nor rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor darkness....help support those that have been there for you. read more

Worst customer service from Teddy. Not helpful, rude and will not do anything. Very stressful and not appreciated his whinny behavior.

Non existence service. Don't bother calling with questions because they won't pick up the phone.

Allison was super sweet and very friendly, and very helpful while I was changing my permanent address. She made everything so quick and easy and stressless, which was very much appreciated. She's great! read more

I had to open a consumer affairs investigation claim on the clerks at this office. I had a package that required a signature. No attempt was made to acquire the signature. I initiated a redelivery and that was also not attempted. I called this post office and asked when the package will be delivered. Every tracking email usually says by "8pm" or by "9pm". So I asked what's the ETA? I was told they cannot provide that. They then placed me on hold for 20 minutes and a woman answered and told me I was "bitching" and then hung up on me. I called customer service and was told " we can't give guarantees however most packages on Saturday will be delivered by 5PM." That is all I was asking, and instead of having an ounce of integrity, customer service or professionalism, profanity was what they resorted to. Absolutely disgusting that this individual cannot work through their own lapse of judgement and instead leads with vitriol in a CUSTOMER SERVICE position. The irony, of this level of stupidity...and she was proud lol, proud to be unable to conduct herself. read more

One of the most negative experiences I've ever had at a post office. I came in with an Amazon box full of bubble wrapped plastic figurines. I didn't have any labels but I had written the address on the box so that I would easily be able to recite it when the time came to print the label. The worker told me that I had the wrong box size for the appropriate weight and I tried to explain to him that I couldn't have packed it any smaller. He mocked my tiny hand writing and the fact that I hadn't written my return address on it. When I told him I was expecting to print the label that would hold the address he looked at me like I was stupid. Am I ignorant about post office expectations? Either way, his demeanor was incredibly unprofessional and I will not be returning to this location. read more

There is a white, older man that works here whom I've filed multiple claims for making inappropriate comments towards other people. A few examples of his discriminatory behavior: - A Somali women was trying to ship a package. She was trying to buy postage.. as one does at a post office. She spoke perfect English (which honestly shouldn't matter & she shouldn't have been treated the way she was regardless). The employee asked her numerous times if she even knew how to use a computer or printer to create a mailing slip online. I was appalled, as she was there to buy postage. This man was discouraging her from being at the PO in the first place & then continued to make comments questioning her knowledge and ability to complete simple tasks. - The next person to walk up was an African-American women who had a child with her. She was buying stamps. Immediately, the postal worker stated "You will need a card that won't decline". At this point, I was furious. However, she stood her ground, paid for the stamps, and left. This comment, however, was unacceptable. Given the fact that he was polite to me (a white woman), I don't think it's far fetched to assume he has extreme racial biases which are resulting in racist behavior. It wasn't until I notified him that I was a single mother- who wasn't able to run around town and hunt down my lost packages with my two month old (yes, they also lost my package that I was at this location to pick up)- did he begin treating me inappropriately. He was sure to tell me that next time I wanted to have kids I should "consider the consequences." Everything about these scenarios is unacceptable in ANY setting or situation. Upon reading the reviews, it seems like this isn't the first time inappropriate behavior has been observed and reported. I, personally, refuse to go to this post office for a number of reasons. Extremely pathetic that people are being treated this way, yet no noticeable action has taken place. read more

Is there any wonder why the post office is losing money!? I needed to ship a package. I left it open in case they needed to view the contents and needed a small piece of tape to seal the box to ship it. The post office employee directed me to buy a package of shipping tape, rather than offer their tape, as they've done many times before. Like UPS and FedEx will do, who value customer service. read more

Workers not there ( late) post office closed on Saturday Feb 3 at 945am .. my husband had to come back to that location that day . The post office worker told my husband to do priority mail for retirement documents for downtown St Paul paid 13.40 for a document that hasn't arrived.. Apparently she sent to Eagan and its lost..The worker and manager is incompetent ..ill never use them..I should of used FedEx..The worst.. Drive to Roseville.. The New Brighton manager should be fired . She has been no help.. USPS investagator told me don't expect it till next week..lol for a letter we paid extra to get there faster . It's a joke read more

This is the most dysfunctional post office! No one seems to know what's going on. When you mail packages from here, they don't track or they get lost or they're very late. I'm not sure why this happens at this post office. I mail packages regularly for my business and I avoid this location as much as possible because I've had so many issues. I don't think one package has had a normal delivery from here. Most recently, a package I mailed on Tuesday didn't start tracking until Thursday night. It sat at this location for 2 days before even being scanned in!!!! This is not ok. read more

Have lost 2 packages within 5 days in the USPS As someone mentioned, "Bad and getting worse". There is not a more terrible phrase to use otherwise I will. Paid a lot for cooked food in dry ice from MN to GQ. Fast forward, tracking says "package arriving last". We did everything we were asked to do and more. How does a package marked "dry ice" and high fees paid for delivery end up being late? The other package from Africa and through many hands worth more than $1000.00 is now missing. Tracking said "out for delivery" 5/3rd. We have spent the entire last part of last week tracking. We went from one tel call to another. office to another and were finally sent to the "supervisor for USPS "new Brighton MN, 551123. After making so called attempts at helping, he said, "I cannot tell you what happened to your package and walked off". Whoah, so much for being a public service for the residents. To think of all the postage paid, the implications of what the post office stands for, it is a complete embarrassment! Can someone please help tell me what to do? Can we sue the Post Office? IS there a chain of command? I cannot consider that African package missing. It has African clothing for myself and my family. It went through many flights and handlings to get to the US. Imagine it not getting lost in transit through developing countries then gets lost here in so-called America which is supposed to be the best! Please for help on what to do next. I was earlier this morning around 8.49 . David was the clerk / heavy sit white male / I asked him to help with letter that I received from the post office? so, he was so rude and unpleasant. I didnt like he attitude than I request someone else. he reply that he was the only one. suddenly , he said get out of my store , you need to have mask. I did, I was scared that how you treat customers that asked for their rights. very bad attitude, the sad part , he did helped women without mask face. Sometimes I go to this branch (my hometown branch) just for the entertainment of seeing how low the level of customer service has fallen. In our house we could seriously write a book describing the individual issues we have had where, comically, every step we have taken to resolve our issue has lead us to another level of "management" that rises to a greater degree of ineptitude than the previous level. I only try to go to this branch between 9am-11am, if at all. The afternoon is sooooo slow because only 1 person is at the counter; even during Christmas rush time. Management needs to train better and staff better! I don't blame the staff usually because most of them are very nice. Management, give your staff a break and get them more backup!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I have no idea why this place has such a low rating! I've never mailed a package in my entire life and the employees were very sweet and kind while I stood around being utterly confused. I went in the afternoon on weekday and there was only two people there. I messed up on the shipping label and the employees didn't even roll their eyes at me (I internally rolled my eyes at myself). My sister's package arrived the day the lady behind the counter said it would arrive and everything was easy and smooth. read more

I saw the rating and was scared to go but I went anyway because it was the closest to my location. I can't speak for everyone who works there because I do believe that every place has good and bad employees. I had Irene and she was fantastic! Great customer service, friendly and educated me on anything I was confuse about. Amazing customer service. I just hope everyone there is like her. read more

This is a busy post office. I try to do my business between 10 to 11 am since its a little slower then. The employees are very knowledgeable & don't take crap from people who are trying to get around the rules. I see customers try to use items they haven't purchased or don't plan on purchasing. As with others, if I could give this location negative stars, I would. Every Time I have been there, there is a long line and same unfriendly guy (Alton) behind the desk with zero regard for his attitude with customers and slowness. Today topped the cake though. I brought in a prepaid box to ship. I didn't have it taped but knew at numerous other post offices that they courteously tape it for you. Oh not here! You need to buy a roll of tape off of the wall for $4 that you will use 2 pieces of and never need again. Seriously?! I really think this guy enjoys making everyone's lives miserable just like he is. Friday, noonish, 11/24/17:the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. Brought a letter for postage and he never made eye contact and berated me for not taping letter and labeling correctly. This man is earning a decent living and needs to show respect for the customers he interacts with or be moved to a position wth minimal people interactions. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but I just had to this time. I was at this post office a few days ago at about 9:30am. There was only one person working the counter and he was helping the only other person there. I was next up, but after listening to the this older guy (and he is the worst one there!) for 15 minutes with the woman ahead of me talk about his trip in 09 to Finland and the soccer teams etc....I was about the scream. All I had was a pick up from a missed delivery the day before, I forgot the pink slip at home but I told him it was for my grandfather and we both live at the same address. I gave him my license and he just stared at it for about 10 seconds then went into the whole spleel about, where's the slip, I have to check if it's OK for you to pick it up and not your grandfather, etc....Unbelievable!!! I did snap back at him, I told him he's the only one that seems to have a problem with someone else picking up mail at the same address. Which only gave him more reasons to bitch about, mail security, etc.... Every time I'm there, this same man is a huge time-waster and rude to me and others. If I get him, I am repeatedly told how to write and where to place my labels, told all possible shipping options when I ask for the cheapest, made to feel like a complete idiot because I don't know all the USPS shipping specs. I have driven to other post offices, central ave and St paul just to avoid this location. I totally enjoy the other people that work there, just not this guy. read more

Every time I have a packaged shipped to me through USPS they never bother to come to my apartment. They simply take t directly to the main office and leave a "sorry we missed you" slip in the mailbox. I thought the point was home delivery. I've never had a package go missing or get damaged or be late, they just never bring it to me but rather the leasing office. read more

Ok- first I would like to say I cringe when people say "the good old days". Lets face it there was a lot of not so good in the " good old days" But the one thing I feel that was good about the " good old days" was how a person had to dress and their personal hygiene on the job! Not the style clothes example jeans verses a dress slacks. But really come on. I need to go to post office several times a week, and I am telling you this post office is the worst for the help even looking half way decent or clean. I am talking dirty shirts, greasy hair, I am not judging I am saying it's offensive. It's like they rolled out of bed grab a shirt from the floor and walked out the door. Plus the way they wait on people is with the same manner that they dress! What has happened in our society that management does not manage their employes? With out judging or stepping on individual rights I believe the work place owes it to their customers to help their employes look the best they can. Gone are the good old days that the person at the counter greeted you with a white shirt and tie. or a A line dress with belt and shoes to match lol But come on.
