I came in for a change of address and was told that it would take up to 3 weeks to have a mail courier come and change the lock on the mail box and deliver my key. It's been 1 month. The phone number doesn't work, and the location is closed during the hours I am off. Inconvenient is an understatement and truly unprofessional. I ran into a mail courier who was dropping mail off at my neighbors and asked for an update, her response, "yea, I've heard we're the worst for setting up mailboxes and delivering mail, let me call my supervisor" nothing came of it and it frustrated me more because I cannot receive my mail! US Post Office Serna Station has moved... just a block away at 1948 Austin Hwy where the old bowling alley used to be. It is located off the road behind other buildings so it could be hard to find with only a large digital billboard showing the address. Pics shown. For a post office, it's great. This location only takes walk-ins from 8:30- 9:30 am Monday- Wednesday. It is not posted anywhere on their website or facility. They were helpful at getting us scheduled at another location seeing as the website was causing issues. read more

This is my go-to US Post Office location because not only is near my home, but the staff is always super helpful and friendly. This location always has a steady number of customers, but is never overwhelmingly crowded like other USPS offices. If you are looking to rent a PO BOX, they have a lot to choose from. We moved PO boxes a few months ago, and the staff helped us set everything up, and they made the change from locations super easy. The majority of the employees at this location speak Spanish which is super helpful. PS: You can also make appointments at this location to get your US passport! read more

I came to this facility in the AM hour to buy some stamps. Being a Saturday, I assumed the customer service desk would open at 9AM as ususal. Rather, at 9:08 I seen no one was going to open the doors to the front desk area and so I rang the customer service bell. I had heard some voices coming form the behind the door, workers doing something as they were make plenty of noise, without question there were employees inside the back rooms. Then I heard a voice say, "people just can't read". I then thought and looked outside the glass entryway doors. Sure enough, there were signs indeed, paper PC printed signs loosely taped to the inside of the outer doors... on the far ends of the entryway barely noticed unless you were looking for them. The printed signs stated due to Veterns Day 11/11/23 the Post Office would be closed. In this, it would have been nice if the signs were more securely taped to the actual main glass doors of the entryway so customers could notice and seen them more clearly, rather than being place away form the entryway, far off to the sides. More so, it would have been better to have placed signs inside, on the actual silver service desk doors. Better still, NICER it would have been, for the employees working inside within the back offices to have answered the customer service bell and explained why the the front desk was closed and in checking to see if the paper signs of the needed information were still up and properly placed to be seen. This location of the San Antonio Postal Service is one of the Weakest Post Offices I have ever seen. Time and time again, there have been "no" example of empolyees meeting the set standards of the U.S. Postal Service regarding customer service. The once world-wide famed of excellence in customer service within the Postal Services, in going above and beyond their duties, is NOT found here. It's no wonder why the Postal Service of America has the lowest feedback and ratings in Customer Service in recent times. The lack in hiring quality personnel over numbers is obvious at htis facility. This why more and more I, like many others I know, do business with UPS and FedEx. In time, these two companies will deliver daily mail as well... for their Customer Service highly out-ranks the U.S. Postal Department without question. read more

He does his job with a smile, honesty and integrity and he is loved by many. When our delivery boxes were broken into in the middle of the night, he personally contacted people and reinforced how important it was to pick up our mail every day. I was in and out in a couple minutes I don't know if I just have good luck or what but usually the weights are pretty long here because it is on the back street and they are not prepared for a huge rush so when there is a rush you can always hear people in the line complaining about how it takes so long. I always have a good experience here even if it takes a while because I always have emails to return so I know how to pass time and manage my time wisely when weights like this occur. read more

She always has a smile for all. The post office it self is fairly clean, fairly well stocked, but people, and this is to the customers... HAVE YOUR STUFF READY TO GO!!! You know you are going to go to the post office, if you don't have supplies, get them at your local post office then GET OUT OF LINE!! Just went into this Post Office located at 1948 Austin Hwy 78218 zip area to mail off a small package that I paid for online. Upon giving it to the clerk, she informed me that it was too small of a package to be sent out. I asked her why? She said it had to be approximately 5 inches X 4 inches in order to be sent. I said that was stupid, she replied, "it's not stupid... it will get caught in the machines if we took it". I then asked her why did the Post Office system online sell me the prepaid label with the very dimensions of the package? She said she didn't know. But that "they" could not take the package. A secondary male clerk was standing by her, who was talking and flirting with the female clerk before my walking up to them... he merley offered her support in nodded his head in agreement with her and confirmed her statement under his breath, "That's right". I told her fine... And informed her that I would go to UPS then. She replied as I was walking off "good" very loudly. Just so happens upon returning home, my own mail carrier shown up at my mail box. I told her of the situation and she said, "That's really weird". She further stated that the clerks at the Post Office were wrong. She stated that she had delivered just as small packages before, and added that she delivered a pair of flip-flops NOT packaged at all with only the label on it... and once even delivered a Coconut with a label merley taped about it. She said she'd have no issue in taking the package from me and see to it it was processed and handled correctly. She offered me her appoligies for the two clerks ill-handling of the situation and unprofessionalism. She stated once more before leaving of "how weird that was for me". I thank her and off she and the package went. Now this carrier was a true "professional, knew her business, and delivered me my dialy mail as well as good old-fashion customer service that I've not seen since I ran my Wal-Mart store and expected from me employees. I wish all the clerks at this Postal Station, especially the two in question... could be trained by her. She was working the 78218 Eisenhauer / Dell Oak zip area... Congrats to her supervisors in having such a wonderful employee and to her as well. I hope she gets a well deserved pat-on-the-back and FREE lunch from her supervisor!! As for the two clerks within this Postal Station... "good-luck in your future careers". If I lived in this neighborhood and this was the only US Post Office I've ever visited, than I would say that Post Office workers are awesome people! My experience here, a stop on my long list of to-do's, was oddly pleasant. I stopped in at about 3 p.m, Siri told me it was the nearest post office. All the workers seemed genuinely happy. There were no lines. My post office lady quickly got my package through. I paid. Had a little small talk, and said bye. It was a simple process. A smile does really go a long way, grumpiness doesn't. I probably will never come back to this location because it's really out of the way from my usual travels, but this girl will spread the word that they're pretty nice people here. : ) read more

I don't know if it's just bad luck or I'm consecutively catching the people here on their worst days but I can't say I've had a positive experience here yet. When I first bought my home I was instructed to pick up my box key at this location. Took all necessary documentation and yet the employees/manager/director swore up and down that my key and my mail was not there. Between the Lennar builders and the USPS office, both told me that the other party had the keys. Was then told a second time by a USPS employee that my key was there. Upon arrival I was told that my key was INSIDE of my box... the mail carrier came to my house and dropped off a months worth of mail, and my keys to my house after telling me my mail and keys have been there the whole time. Pretty frustrating. Most recently, I was told my package was scanned and delivered to my home. Package contents were medication, some contact lenses and a credit card. Have contacted all the companies I bought from and told me to be patient that the mail couriers probably had an issue. Get a call today from the manager telling me it was delivered to my front door a month ago and that's there's nothing else they can do. I keep getting full bundles of mail from other residents in the community and it's pretty concerning that the delivery is so unorganized, almost lazy to the point where they are carelessly shoving random mail in random boxes. Was told by the manager that he can see the GPS location of the scan as they dropped my packages off, time stamped and all. But when I asked to have that information he refused and said it's not available to me, it's sensitive information. I only wanted it to make a claim for the items that were "delivered". I have ring and ADT cameras all around my house. I was able to catch a drive by shooting and help SAPD identify a homicide vehicle but I wasn't able to catch this mail courier. If someone stole my packages, I would have seen it. read more

This post office is terrible. I was waiting in line and they called two ppl behind me first for a pick up. One of the ladies they called had her father in the hospital and signed the tracking paper for his daughter to pick up and and had I'd and the paper he said and the manager refused her and said he had to get a change of address. That's ridiculous. Then for me I had a package to pick up and she asked for the tracking number and she said she couldn't help me. I waited for my mail box keys for 2 months and never did they call they were ready. I called every week and they said no. Didn't even look. I drive out of my way if I need to mail something. They are rude and take no special consideration for the elderly when they have to stand in line to mail a small package. read more
