The ladies that work her are very mean, I was "helped" over the phone and in person by them and they don't care about your package at all, very snotty and unsympathetic They need new ppl working there that know how to deal with the public. Worst feeling being at this place All the customers are terrified by the the service people. It's seems like they just hate their jobs and had enough of it. The don't feel like they should answer any of your questions if you need some information or you need to consult about the best way to send your package..or even where do I need to sign! They are all giving you the worst attitude and being so rude, rolling their eyes and looking at each other like they are disappointed that you don't know as much as they know about mail! I think that someone from the management should check it out because this is really unbelievable. I'm writing this review after 10 times that I found myself in need to get here to this post office. I was hoping that at some point it will get better but it's just getting worst! Wake up managers! Look at all the 1 star reviews people are giving here! Don't you care at all about your customers?! I am really upset with the service that they give at this location I talk to the supervisor and she told me they will not be mailing my mail to my house anymore because I'm having an issue with them with my dogs so she told me I only have a choice of find a PO Box or they're going to stop my mail completely but they gave me a chance me a while to only pick it up on Saturdays from 10 to 12 so I went today around 11 and the guy that's working at the Dutch door tells me my mail has been mailed which I believe that's a lie because they have not mailed it all week why would they mail it on Saturday when he told me to pick it up at this point I am just really upset they keep making me drive back and for doing all this unnecessary stuff and I just think they're so unprofessional they need to hire new staff that actually know what they're doing and that's that read more

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! The stupid ladies behind the counter are the stupidest people ever and never accept any of my packages when there's nothing wrong with them. I am there for 15 mins arguing how it is fine and it turns out they take it anyways. One lady told me today I couldn't ship out because the postage said yesterday for a two day priority and told me "I can't take it cause you're two days late." I'm going to chime in with the rest of the Yelpers who think this is one of the worst post office I have ever been to. I had five packages that were prepaid with labels on them that I printed at home. No place visible to drop these packages, so with 10 people in front of me I just ask the only clerk if there was a place to drop them. She says "I'll take them", I only had three so I returned with the other two. I wait until she is done with the current customer and step up to give her my remaining boxes. She now decides to school me on Post Office etiquette and tells me that I should have walked around the customer that was walking up to her station! WHAT the heck are you talking about? Deciding to embarrass me in front of the other customers! and continued to talk crap about me to other customers when I walked away! If you had a dam drop box (like Hayward does) I wouldn't have to have any interaction with you people! I thought about this for awhile when I returned to my car and decided to call and speak to a supervisor. She was listening to me and agreed that maybe a spot should be labeled for prepaid flat rate boxes, but after reading previous reviews I really don't think that anybody really cares! Its like they are allergic to giving good service. Actually, its more than that. Its like they get out of bed every morning and each say to themselves in the mirror. "Today, I am going to move slowly, be intentionally not thoughtful or friendly, frown A LOT in the hopes of spreading my misery to my customers, be super exasperated if I have to explain anything to anyone or wait while a customer fishes and address out. Then, I'm going to be openly rude to coworkers in plain sight of customers." Then, they get to work and repeat their mantra as a group, although they can't agree who gets to lead, so it sounds like negative jibberish. I know a union protects their job no matter what their behavior is like, but seriously... Someone, ANYONE else could do better and maybe be a little joyful in the process. Tonight, (DECEMBER 9!!!!!) the supervisor was closing the gate early. I walked in, she made eye contact with me, frowned at me and said nothing as I turned to go... The other customer who had been right behind me said, "But, wait, its not 5 yet!" to me. So, we both turned and the customer said the same to the lady locking up. The lady huffed and snapped, "I know I'm just closing up!!" Then she made a huge ordeal about letting us in even though we were there on time. If you're sick, stay home. If you're overwhelmed, take your breaks. Please don't be evil to us! This is a fairly big post office but the counters where you can buy stamps/mail packages is on one side of the building and rather small. The employees are quite nice and knowledgable, at times will engage in witty banter with the customer. I'm a fan of the drive-up mailboxes but their huge draw back is unless you own an SUV you have to open your door to drop your mail in...sort of defeats the purpose of drive-up mailboxes. read more

Do not use this post office for ANYTHING - one of their courier's stole a package I had in our outgoing mailbox. They claim "it was never received, it was never in our hands", every time I called & explained the situation - several employees claimed a neighbor stole it & wouldn't even forward my message to a manager. I've been fighting the re stocking fee my cell company has charged me - since September '15. Mind you, the small box was plain white, with a return label, no identifying mobile info. Very easy to say "we never had it" Funny, I've received every other package, all my neighbors seem to leave humidifiers, huge strollers, amazon boxes - we have no theft issues in our building. TWO STARS! for not ever answering the phone, which I was told by the ASK-USPS guy who said he was a carrier for 25 yrs and knows the workings well that due to budget constraints personnel is limited so that's why but what about the supervisor? I went into this post office branch on Friday. I haven't been in a post office in years because I usually do my business online. The woman Teresa at the counter was very friendly and super helpful with explaining the best way for me to mail my package. I will trust Teresa with all my future postal needs! Very nice. read more

Service here is a hit or miss situation. On some days service is stellar, while other times I was so frustrated and pissed off . It's usually two counters open, but sometimes there would only be one counter available, even when there is a line piling up. So I've come to accept that coming to this post office is like opening a mystery box, you never know what to expect. For me, I give myself prep talk to be patient and expect a long wait before I come, that way, if things turn ugly, I can still keep a positive mind. read more

This review is for the letter carrier for Lakeside Village apartments that broke my mailbox today so I came home to an EMPTY open broken mailbox that now my mail has been stolen. The carrier stuffs so much in the box that he breaks the locks on the boxes. He or SHE also they gave my personal business checks to the neighbor next door (the carrier actually asked her if she could give them to me because they do not fit in my mailbox)!!!! a few months ago who by the way I do no know at all. Thank God she was honest enough to knock on my door and hand them to me. I've also come home to letters with credit cards and financial information thrown on the ground by my door. I am officially sick and tired of the lazy, rude, dismissive and down right criminal treatment and behavior the carriers for this area have with mail. This is one of my many complaints to be heard and spread the word and let people know that their personal information may not be safe being mailed to your personal residence. This is in regards to Loretta working at 9am on 12/8/17 and how horribly she treated me. I came to ask why I haven't gotten my certified mail delivered yet (we missed delivery and followed the instructions of signing the card, returning it, and waiting 2 days for redelivery). I came in at 9am when the place opened and was 5th in line. Loretta helped me, but was HORRIBLE from when I first said good morning. Upon asking about the redelivery she immediately raised her voice and told me that's not how it works anymore and that I'm out of luck. I told Loretta I followed the instructions and she snapped at me. I then asked why the form says to do what I did and she gets louder saying "I don't know why. That was years ago. Our carriers can't redeliver. Why did you send it back?"...basically harassing me. I kindly asked what my options were and she huffed that she'd try looking in the back and stomped off. When she came back she said there are no packages and again that I'm out of luck. I told her it's an envelope and Loretta immediately got louder and exclaimed "you said it was a package!" and stared at me. I told her I never said package and that I just mentioned certified mail. Again Loretta huffed loudly and walks back to the letters loudly saying "oh Lord another one already today!". ARE YOU SERIOUS?! She's the one harassing me at 905am and I'm getting publicly shamed by her. That's all kinds of wrong. She finally located my mail and was snippy when having me sign for it, all the while saying things under her breath that I couldn't make out. I have never had such a bad experience at a post office or anywhere for that matter. Employees shouldn't harass and shame the customers like that, especially when I didn't do anything. If only there was a manager I'd have told someone that Loretta needs to be talked to and reprimanded for her horrible behavior. read more

Given the bad rep the USPS already has and how it mis-manages its funds and offices, this location takes the cake on BAD customer service! Went in asking simply for supplies because USPS would not allow me to order online for some reason. So I asked my carrier for almost a week to bring me some supplies for our business. He said, "no problem". Carrier was asked at least 3 times. Needless to say, no supplies delivered. When I went to this location to get supplies, I had a smug young worker tell me I had to order online and proceed to interrupt me, along with a co-worker whose business it was NOT, so I could not let them know I could not order online. They both continued to talk over each other and proceeded to tell me I could not have supplies unless I mailed from there that day! I walked out without even an apology from either "lady". Pathetic, discrimanatory and inexcusable are my only three words! read more

So as the saying goes, "opinions are like a--holes, everyone's got one"....... So let me give my opinion about this post office. With talking to other post office workers throughout the San Leandro circle this one has a reputation. The general consensus is these gals need to take there meds on a daily basis. Generally the Asian gals are pretty good with zero issues, 5 stars..... The Spanish gal on the left (Dolores) is generally ok but has an off day every now and then, 4 stars..... Now the White lady on the right, pretty sure she doesn't use her medical plan as every freakin time is a battle. She has found her nitch with a government job and is taking advantage to the fullest! I am not applying for a job here and don't need to be schooled on every freakin technicality of what it takes to ship a package. This review is for Dolores. I went there to return a package to Direct TV and she really gave me a hard time. Direct TV had sent me a nice container, including a return label and a foot long tape to close the top section of the container. The design of the container is special. It can only be open and close at the top section. The bottom edge is already folded and tucked in the box securely so no tapping is necessary. However, Dolores didn't want to proceed unless I taped the bottom edge of the box. I was speechless. Looking at a thick roll of tape lying right next to her I nicely asked her if I could use it. I also explained to her that I didn't bring any money. She said, "No, we don't provide tape to customer. Either you purchase a tape here or go home, get your tape and come back." It was outrageous. I thought of arguing with her that the post office near my workplace in Oakland City Center always provides tape to customers without the need to ask, but looking at other customers waiting in long line I gave up. I went back to my car and luckily found some small change. Once I got inside she was serving another customer so I got to wait for her again. Long story short, she really ruined my good day. I couldn't believe she was that heartless. Walking back to my car with a $3.49 tape roll and achy heart I said to myself, "Where's compassion? Where's human kindness?" I wasn't the only one who had a hard time with her. A gentleman before me brought in a box to her. It was the official USPS shipping box that had been neatly packed and sealed and labeled. She said no good. I couldn't catch their whole conversation but it seemed like she was asking the gentleman to purchase another box, take everything out from the packed box he brought in and put them into the new box. The gentleman looked really upset. He said, " Ma'am, It's too much work for me to unpack and pack. Can I just buy a larger box and put my box into the large one? I don't mind paying $1.99 more. Can I do that?" After a long , long silence and giving him a cold stare, she unwillingly and unhappily said okay. The gentleman grabbed a bigger box and asked her if he could borrow a pen to fill out the form. "No, this is the only pen I have. We don't provide pens to customer" she replied. Whoaaaaa!!! Just a reminder everyone! Please make sure you bring a pen, a roll of tape, and enough money if you need to make a trip to this branch. read more

Horrible experience from this old lady, absolutely no help when trying to locate a package that was sent to me. She kept referring me to check online. However, online did not mention a pick up location. While the Post Office has never been known for outstanding customer service, this branch is particularly bad. The "ladies" at the counter are wretched wenches. The line is always out the door long because they take their sweet time. It's obvious none have ever skipped a lunch break (or Twinkie break for that matter). If I could leave zero stars market that is how I would rate this post office. Arrived this morning at 9:04 and in the 20 minutes that I was in line there was only 1 window open! There was another employee there but she was on the phone chatting with another co-worker as to where she should be working, my thought is that this should have be determined before she ever arrived at the counter. Needless to say she never opened the window. The other worker and her took turns on the cell phone with someone and all this while helping a customer, so unprofessional. While this employee was trying to figure out what she should be doing she walks around the counter area carrying her breakfast from McDonald's, we all could see what her priorities were. She we rude the customers, telling one that the flat rate envelope meant the item inside must be "flat" that is why it is called flat rate, obviously she has no clue that the envelope read, "if it fits, it ships". But of these ladies are a disgrace to the US Postal Service, it was very plain to see that they did not care about the customers in line by the snails pace that they adhered labels on the packages. Another customer comes in goes right up to the counter in front of all of us in line and she helps him! He asks for the manage and she says, we don't have a manager. He says is there someone I can speak with, she says we have a supervisor, Why did she not say that when he asked for the manager, so strange!!!
