Came by on the Saturday before Easter (4/19/25) to check my PO Box. Got there about 10 minutes to 2pm. Doors were locked even though the lobby sign says that the lobby is open on Saturdays from 8am to 3pm. Had to drive back home 25 miles and come back on Monday to get my mail. Called this post office's 714 number a couple weeks prior to find out what hours the lobby was open on Saturdays and weekdays. Called on a Friday about 4:30 pm and kept calling about every 5 minutes hoping i could get an answer to my question of what the lobby hours were at this post office location. Nobody ever answered the phone. Guess they don't care about providing service. read more

It was only one teller attending, he was fast and to the point. No big line at the time I went, but hopefully he has another coworker to help him serving the community. The parking wasn't difficult to find, people are leaving in and out, so parking at the front available if you are lucky and they go when you arrives. read more

Cute post office in downtown Santa Ana. There's metered parking out on the street. I've only stopped by to drop off mail both inside the building and at the mailbox. Stopped by today after 5 to drop-off an item I was mailing back for a refund and one of the workers was out checking the mailboxes. He was friendly and took my package. read more

Overall good post office, never busy during the day. Unfortunately I docked a few stars due to the poor customer service received from postal worker Herbert. He can't across very condescending from the start, maybe he was just having a bad day. I have a love-hate relationship with the USPS in general. For this location, my gripe is they have slow employees, and during the peak time of 12:00 noon, there would be 1, sometimes 2 postal employees working, while the line was out the door of people on their lunch break trying to mail or pick up packages. In the numerous times I've been here, 1 of the 2 tellers can't speak english, or at least not clearly. Their accent is so thick, I have to wonder if they're speaking an Asian language? There's no free parking (meters only) although many patrons park at the Jack in the Box illegally (and jaywalk to the USPS). I use stamps.com and prepay my packages at home, so you'd think they would allow me to drop it off at the counter? No, they tell me that i must wait in line, so they can verify if I weighed the package right, or if I still need additional postage. I assured the postal guy I gave enough postage, but he said he "just wanted to make sure". WTH? Why bother advertising stamps.com type companies if the USPS doesn't trust you're smart enough to mail stuff on your own. Even at 4:00, with 2 people ahead of me, it took 15 minutes to get to the front. The transactions of the other people were not difficult, but you'd think these people never been inside a post office before. I handed a gal my prepaid package. She was about to tell me it was sufficient when a coworker stepped in to correct her. Ok, this is too much.. 2 employees who work at the same USPS were trying to see if I was correct? It was weighed and calculated twice. Guess what? Found out that I was smart enough, and I DID pay sufficient postage. There's a reason the USPS is going under financially. With dorks like these people working there, no wonder people are trying to go "paperless" and do things online. read more

This post office location is the WORST!!! I had enough with this specific person named Eucenia which by the way is a proud supervisor. And my experienced here happened 3 times!! First when i called about the incident that the mail carrier hit our dog. And when i called to report to this office this lady Eucenia said they were aware of what happened and that assume that the mail man didnt do it. As if she was there who personally saw what happened. And we ended up the one being punished because their mail carrier act inappropriate and hold our mail for 2 weeks! Didnt even left a notice that we have to pick up our mail to the post office. They totally DID NOT CARE OR DO ANYTHING ON THEIR BEHALF TO LET US KNOW WHAT TO DO and basically covering it all up. Second is when i called about my moms package we didnt received. Tracking shows it has been delivered but this package never get dropped off in my house. Both my parents dont work anymore and theyre home all the time so we are able to get the packages directly handed to us by the mail carrier. And when Eucenia answered the phone her greeting was " WHAT DO YOU WANT!" How unprofessional!!!!! I called to report so theyre aware of this incident or atleast investigate. Im thinking it might got dropped off to a different house which always happens in our location. And she told me okay we will investigate and give you a call. She even ask for my name and phone number to call back. Then i waited and she never called back. Third is when i called to check for updates she just told me it has been delivered on my house "as what the tracking shows". And when i explained to her again that that is not the case she keeps telling me thats what the tracking said. She is not taking responsibility or even trying to listen. And i told her i need to speak with her supervisor and she said proud i am the supervisor. And i keep insisting to pass the phone to someone higher position than her and she just hanged up on me. Honeslty this lady needs to be out of that post office. This 3 incident is very unacceptable and shes abusing her authority just so she can cover up their flaws. Very bad customer service, with her attitude like that she shouldnt be answering phone calls. I just contact customer service toll hotline and reported all of this. I find myself at this post office a lot. I love the old spanish-style colonial architecture building which stays nice and cool on hot days. Rarely a long line, but the counter staff can be slow. Beware: the meter cops will pounce on your expired parking meter while you stand in line. read more

Within walking distance of home so that's a big plus. Bummer that it's closed Saturdays. Due to the area, there's a lot of dumb people wasting time in line to buy a single stamp but other than that, I really love the architecture. It sucks that there's no machine to buy stamps or weigh your own packages, though. You'd think the USPS would want to make money even when the manned lobby is closed but whatever. Excellent pick up and transport when dropping off mail here, either inside or at the curb. It can be tracked almost instantly and I appreciate that. read more

8/17/18 BEWARE!! This post office is responsible for tampering with one of our customers packages. They opened the package and put an empty cigarette box in place of an item that they stole. Investigate and we will remove this. Incident occurred on: 8/17/18 Tracking: 9300189843901016652216 BEWARE Edit: package was only traveling from Irvine ca to Santa Ana ca. Total of 10 miles. I went to the post office to see what was going on with that because I didn't received it and the give me a phone number of the manager. It's close to my work so I can stop by during lunch or break. Lines at lunch can get long, and they have very little people working so less booths open. The other day the gentle wasn't very nice. He was lazy that he charged me $1 instead of $0.98 for the cost to ship postcard just cause he didn't want to open up his cash register. Anyhow I'll keep going just cause it's close. read more

Supervisor here is extremely helpful and kind. I went to the post office to talk to somebody about the horrible mailbox situation at my apartment complex (my mail was being inputted in the wrong box). Don't trust this place. Terrible service. My package didn't arrive yet being confirmed it did with the tracking #, so I called the post office to see what happened & they claimed it was delivered, yet they delivered someone elses package to me. I ended up returning the package to the right address & they were the ones who received my package, therefore do not believe what the carrier, tracking #, and manager say because your package might end up at another residence yet the post office will claim it was delivered correctly. read more

Let me start of by saying very unprofessional people. There is a woman I believe is the station manager (didn't get her name) answers the phone like if she is at her house and uses the speaker phone (WTF) shows the professionalism. They do not state their name when someone calls and I had to double check if I was calling the right place. Also there is another lady by the name of Yesenia really rude bad customer service I don't even know why they have these people on this position where they need to have good customer service. I live in this area and it makes me think twice coming or calling this place for any information. It seems to me that they do not know what they are doing. The last time I visited the line was really long and not enough people behind the counter to help the customers like me that I had to use all my lunch break just to stand in line and send a box out of state and took a whole whopping hour to get through the line.
