"if you want a receipt go to San Jose" is exactly what Grace told me 5 minutes ago or take a picture. So here'sy proof of dropping off my package. This isn't the first time this employee has such bad attitude for asking for a confirmation. She doesn't understand the machine won't accept the package because of the lithium battery sticker on the side. Do better usps

Lines have rarely been long, folks at the counter are friendly and helpful, and the building is beautiful.

This refusal appears to be a case of discrimination and misconduct by my assigned mail carrier Jess- and the local postmaster, Denita, who have taken deliberate actions to deny my right to mail service. I have lived at my residence for over seven years, yet my mail has been routinely refused for the past three years without valid justification. * My mail carrier delivers to immediate neighbors but skips my address. On multiple occasions, the carrier has delivered mail for other people who do not reside at my address while deliberately withholding my own mail. * The carrier has cited an incident from over three years ago, in which my dog--who was a young puppy at the time--simply barked at her. This scared her and she chose to use a blow horn which scared the puppy, a small 30lb mix breed. Since then: * A fence has been built to prevent any possible interaction. * The dog has shown no aggression and has never been involved in an incident. * Despite these efforts, the carrier Jess and the postmaster continue to refuse mail delivery, even though the post woman regularly walks around the neighborhood, crosses my driveway, and delivers to my immediate neighbors which have our boxes on the street all attached to a single post. * My complaints to the local postmaster have resulted in no corrective action. Instead, the postmaster has supported the mail carrier's refusal and stated that my mail will not be delivered, and also told me my complaints won't be addressed anymore so stop trying. I allowed this because they threatened to "mess with everyones mail on my circle and told me if that's what i wanted to have happen keep complaining, they say the dog is dangerous and thats why they are skipping my mailbox for 3 years. Until i received a vacancy note, I was in front of my residence with my dog, who they are claiming is dangerous when the mail women Jess hand delivered the vacancy note. I have it all on video- * I received a "No Tenancy Vacancy" notice in my mailbox, falsely claiming that no one resides at my property. * i immediately filled out the note with my name and my roommates and went directly to the post office. Upon visiting the post office, I was informed by the postmaster that all of my mail had been returned to the sender, despite the fact that the mail carrier sees me at my residence daily and is fully aware that I live at this address. I have video surveillance footage that directly contradicts USPS's justification for refusing to deliver my mail. The footage shows: 1. The mail carrier delivering mail to my immediate neighbors while my dog is outside with no issue, proving that my dog does not pose a threat to her. 2. The mail carrier exiting her vehicle and walking safely through the shared driveway, despite claiming that the presence of my dog makes it unsafe to deliver mail. 3. The mail carrier consistently skipping my address while delivering to other attached mailboxes and in the immediate area, despite there being no obstruction, interference, or valid reason for denial of service. I have missed important correspondence, including financial statements, legal documents, and personal mail. * I have been denied access to a fundamental public service that all U.S. residents are entitled to receive. * The refusal to deliver my mail appears to be intentional, retaliatory, and discriminatory, as no valid safety concerns currently exist. My customer service requests finally began to get attention from a separate office (higher up) in san jose and San Francisco. When i just went back to the post office the old postmaster is no longer there and there is a new person Augusto. He actually was helpful and listened to my case, he said he was familiar with it and that my mail delivery would be reinstated asap. It has now been a week or so and the postwomen is still skipping my mailbox, I went out to ask for the mail directly from her just a few moments ago and again she denied giving it to me. She even took the liberty to hand write me a note saying not to ask for my mail from anybody else that i will not be receiving it and put the handwritten note in my mailbox! I am at a loss and feel my rights are being violated.

The documents were scheduled to arrive the evening of the 28th, but they did not. I was leaving the next day, and needed those documents for a trip out of the country. I delayed my departure, and went to Post Office in Scotts Valley, hoping perhaps the package was in their distribution area and I could just pick it up. I was told by staff there that they called the delivery driver, that he had the package, and that he would be delivering it between 10-10:15 AM to the Postal Annex where I have a mailbox. So, I delayed my departure in order to wait for these important documents. At 10:45 when he arrived, he said he did not have the documents, that they called him to ask his ETA but never asked if he had my package. And, he did not have it and knew nothing about it. Unable to wait longer, and since nobody could tell me where the package was at that point, we left town. At 3:34 PM, I received notification that the driver had attempted to deliver the package but the Postal Annex was closed. Nope, they don't close until 5:30PM. So, I called the Postal Annex to find out if they may have closed early. Nope. The owner of Postal Annex confirmed they were, indeed, open. That they were waiting for my package and knew they'd have to hustle to send it overnight to my layover location in Oregon. (Excellent customer service by THEM!) The owner called the post office and told them their delivery person had lied because they were there, they were open, and they were waiting for my package. Magically, the driver returned at 4:03 PM to deliver my package. Interestingly, the tracking information no longer showed the "unable to deliver message" as if it had been deleted. I now have to pay $95 to have it over-nighted to Oregon. I have to use UPS, because that was the only option so late in the afternoon. Our USPS has a terrible reputation and I do my best to avoid them at all costs. This is why. Do better.
