I had a quite a number of certified mall, return receipt mailings to be mailed and got inside around 5:15 pm, shortly before closing. Annette was behind the counter and motioned me over. I explained to Annette that I had quite a number of mailings that needed to be sent out (3 separate bundles) and I needed separate receipts. Annette understood and she proceeded to handle my mailings with professionalism and efficiency. Definitely appreciate this as my day had not been going well. I came in just to verify my identity to get a PO box. I had all my information besides the application that wanted me to print out before coming in. There is two ladies at the front desk. One of them was helping me out as they got down to the application and meeting the physical form. The other one handed the lady of his performance it all he has to do is fill it out and then we can go ahead and get him a PO Box the lady left the girl that was in front of me was finishing up and another gentleman sat out from the back as he stepped out in the back he took control over everything and since I didn't have an address in Reno, he told me to give him my current address in Reno so I put down one of my old addresses and then he canceled my whole application and then because I was refusing to give him my address that was valid when I look it up online, it says Reno did not require a valid address just the address residency, which I gave them in the beginning with the gentleman came up demanding to take from now I canceled my PO Box and then no longer willing to accept the disrespect and unprofessionalism read more

I don't go to the post office very often, but I have to say I had a very pleasant experience today! All I needed was to pick up a package, the line was a little long, but a lady came up and asked if anyone was picking up a package, so I walked up and gave her my slip. Only a mere 10, if even, minutes later and she came back with my package, so quick and so easy! She was also very kind and friendly, I regret not asking for her name! But people like her are the reason that such usually boring destinations and errands can end up being really pleasant ones! read more

Every time I come here, there's always a long line. However, the staff is always kind and tries their best to get everyone in and out. I came in because of a lost/stolen package and to see if the package got sent back here. The guy who helped me was the supervisor. I explained to him that I got the notification from the tracking code that my package was delivered to the mailbox. So I went to to my mailbox, got the key in there and was about to open the parcel locker where my package was placed. However, the locker was already opened and empty. The supervisor went in the back to check if it's there, but unfortunately it was not. He told me the mailman might have put the wrong key in my mailbox and to check later that day. He wrote down my name and number too. Later that evening I still have not located the package and did not receive a call. So I went back the following week about it and the lady told me there's nothing they could do except take down my information again. I was also given a number to call and report so they can investigate the situation, but only after 30 days have past. I feel like whoever got my package is not going to return it because it was worth $140 and the post office is not going to believe I never got the package. I just wish there was an easier way to get a refund when we had an idea of where the mistake was. I know the mailman delivers a lot of mail/packages in a day, but they need to make sure they are delivering the correct things to everyone. read more

I just want to make sure that our Postal Carriers in Spanish Springs are worth their weight in gold. We have the best postal carriers. They are kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. I am so appreciative of the US Postal System. I have lived in other countries. In most countries, the mail does not always get to you not to mention the cost is way higher than here. I want to make sure that the Postal Carriers get KUDOS. Especially this time of year when their load is at its highest for the year. Often too people are at their grumpiest. Our carriers always have a smile on their faces and I don't think many of them get thanked for what they do. I appreciate you and thank you for delivering my mail with a smile. The delivery person put two packages in my street box parcel box but failed to leave the key in my mail box so I can't retrieve my packages. I could not get any satisfaction from on line chat from usps.com and I called the post office on Vista. The phone rang for five minutes with no answer and then went dead. Why have a business phone if no one is there to answer it? Their customer service sucks big time! read more

The lobby is 24-hours and has a self-service kiosk where I purchased a shipping label. Very convenient as this place gets busy especially on Mondays and during the holidays. Most notable is that the lobby is clean and no one is there that shouldn't be. (And it's cold outside) read more

There were many patrons in line due to the Christmas rush. Just as I came through the door, a postal worker started helping people at the Kiosk. She had a great attitude and got people moving a 40 minute wait turned into a 10 minute wait. Grateful read more

I visit this post office often, and yes, during peak hours things may get more "business oriented" to say, but it's usually due to people not knowing how to mail things. Not knowing how a package is supposed to look or where to put the postage, or some issue having to do with the addresses etc. During rush hours and what not they got to get through that line and for the most part they do a great job. How are they supposed to wait for you to get off your phones or learn from the people ahead of you who made mistakes! If you know how to mail a package or letter the right way, this is the post office for you! If not, you can definitely learn from here too! read more

I had a rude awakening when my private box at condo was closed & all my mail & packages were returned to sender. I regularly forget to pick up my mail but I get a lot of it & a lot of junk. I followed up with the letter carrier & then the Sparks station. I was treated with courtesy & humor. I will now remember to check if have my mail held while I'm house & pet sitting. The carriers often get a bad rep, I get it, but I can't imagine how difficult their jobs are! Put yourselves in their shoes & give them the benefit of a doubt! read more

Somehow I find myself dropping off packages always at the same time of the day throughout the week. Theres always a long line no matter what day of the week it is (I usually come by between 1-3pm). But even with long lines, they are so fast and efficient that every visit only takes a few minutes. Parking is no issue at all. They are COVID compliant with sanitizers everywhere and cleaning their counter between customers. Staff are very helpful. read more

Is it weird to give my local post office a 5 star rating? Because it feels weird. But anything under 5 stars would not be doing the employees justice. Between my job and online shopping habits, I find myself at the post office quite often. And not just at their postal drops but inside interacting with the workers. I've seen many of the same faces over the last several years and although some are more personable than others, they are all helpful, efficient, and professional. They readily give answers and proactively help their customers when there's a question about a form. None of this "Fill out this form and then come back. Next!" They help guide you with what needs to be done because even though they've seen these forms a billion times, they know their customers haven't. And some of these customers get nasty! So thanks, Vista post office. I can't say I want to visit you every day but I certainly don't dread our time together. read more

Stopped in here to mail a package to a friend. I was going to use the kiosk in the main part of the PO but it only accepts cards and I was paying by cash. So I returned the next day because the area that has associates to help is closed on weekends. Our last PO was at least open half day on Saturday and that was in a small town/city so I expected the same from here. It was quite busy for the mid day. There was a few associates working the counter and one gent at a podium out in the main area just as you walk in. He was assisting customers who were just getting stamps, dropping off prepaid and helping those with change of addresses and other smaller issues. There are several drive by drop off boxes right off the road that is an easy in and out. I think that Monday mornings and Friday afternoon into evenings are going to be your busiest times since they are closed over the weekend. read more

I dont trust this company at all they were rude to my grandfather and my grandmother when they tried to go down there to request information! This location is right down the street from my office so I went afterwork a few weeks ago. When mailing international packages I don't have a large amount of choices so this was the standout option. I entered around 3:30 and the line was already approaching the middle of the waiting area. Shortly after I got in line it grew rapidly and was out the door several people deep before I was helped at the counter. They only had two employees working. When I got in line there were 2 people in line in front of me and 2 being helped at the counter. I was in line for 30 minutes. 30 minutes. One employee, with the line that long, unpackaged and repackaged a customers item. They didn't ask the customer to step aside, do it themselves and return... they did it for them. Plus filled out all new paperwork. Tough. This would be two stars but when I finally made it to the counter the employee was so nice I had to up my rating. While he rang up my package he told me how to avoid the incredibly high charges I was paying on my package to the UK. Parking is easy and they have a drive thru mail drop which is always a bonus. Do not go when it is busy however because they do not have the staffing to support long lines! read more

Been waiting for my express package all day and I got an alert saying there was an animal interference and the zip code attempted at delivery was not even my zip code! The express mail delivery person at this vista location is incompetent! First off, I have two small yorkies that are indoor dogs, never even heard the door bell rang, and the zip code attempted at delivery is not mine! I am assuming this delivery person attempted to delivery my package to another house in a completely different neighborhood. I have no faith in USPS! The most horrible postal office I've ever entered. Embarrassed and ashamed for the postal workers. They have every excuse not to get you your mail.... Moved to a home that has community boxes,the key the landlord provided didn't open the box specified. Went to usps first week of Dec 2019 to request a new key. It's now Jan 6th I still have no key to my mail box. I go daily to the post office to see if I have mail. No surprise no mail. I want my mail timely and I want a key to my mail box. If it takes a month to put a lock on a box and provideda key YOU HAVE MAJOR ISSUES. I tender prepaid packages three to four times per week. The drop box is easy to use. Late Sunday night it can fill up and I have to return Monday morning. I rarely wait in line for postage. When I do I am shocked by how completely unprepared the customers are. Please put the address on your junk before you try shipping. This blows my mind. The employees here are very reliable. Their full time and dedicated to their job. That's the perception I have. As far as I know there are only three front office employees. They are very efficient. My packages are always picked up and transported to Reno the same day. From there I have had consistently good results. Almost like clockwork Reno will dispatch them as needed right at midnight. Post Offices can easily fall into the category of worst places to visit similar to a DMV or other government office simply because they are always understaffed for the workload at hand. This PO employees always seem to be on top of the crowds and manage to keep a smile on their faces. During the summer their ac was out and while it was 107 inside their facility they were working feverishly with cooling towels around their necks. I'm always grateful for their attentive and dedicated service. read more

Finally got my keys on Feb 1st. Jackie came to the door and personally delivered the keys to us and the mail. This was a response to filing a complaint with the post master on their website who were prompt to get back to me and escalated the issue to get this resolved. So, UPS definitely dropped a package off there because UPS gave me the tracking number that usps gave them. My package then sat there for a week before I came in to the post office and asked for it and they said UPS probably never dropped it off. How about stop stealing packages and do your job. read more

Worst delivery service even. My husband and I were sitting on the front porch last night having a cool glass of lemonade. It was from 8pm till 9:30. I received a notice via email that delivery was attempted at 8:45 but the driveway was blocked. This is sooooo bogus. We live in a mobile home park. The driveway was NOT blocked. I've filed a claim online and all I got was a survey. I've tried calling a million times in the past week and the phone just rings for literally 20 minutes and no one every picks up. Reno/Sparks NV has the worst postal service of anyplace I have ever lived. Quite often my mail is delivered around 7:00 PM by a postal carrier wearing a Hands Free Headlamp so they can see in the dark. Letters and Packages take days longer to be delivered than other places I've lived. read more
