Seriously, if I didn't have to put a star, I definitely would not have. So, when it is time for the carrier to deliver, they put a note in the system that says 'Unfortunately USPS ran into an issue when attempting your delivery' The thing is, we have security cameras...nice try jackass....no one even drove by at the time you listed on the report...and the gate, was WIDE OPEN! The worst post office ever. I sincerely wish we could avoid ever using this agency ever again... I will be at the post office tomorrow morning with photos of the gate, the front door and the road attempting once again to get the post office to figure this out...I suspect they won't. There are a few good people at the front desk, however the management and drivers are HORRIBLE (imho). The person who delivers to our address constantly leaves packages hanging half way out of the box and makes up reasons not to deliver to the house. I pay UPS and FedEx the higher rate for packages to be delivered by professional, courteous and reliable people. I ask vendors every time I busy something to ship to me by any other carrier. I AVOID giving any business to the USPS every chance I get. I hope you do too. read more

Our mail carrier refuses to deliver packages to our unrestricted address. He's been informed that our address is now deliverable yet he persists in refusing to deliver packages to our porch in town. He's such a shady fucker we never use our box to mail our bills. So we're in town and stuck with this POS! We will be making FURTHER complaints to the post mistress. I am finding that dealing with the Shelton post office is increasingly problematic. By that I mean, I received notifications on two packages in a row now that I have received a package in the package locker, and yet it physically doesn't arrive until several days later. I suspect the carrier, Whoever that might be, may be failing to leave a key in my mailbox or fails to leave the package. In any event it's getting old. Additionally, in the past I would receive 8 x 10 pictures in the mail that were unusable because they had been wrinkled and tattered by the post office. Of course, I can't be sure at which post office this may have occurred, but it still is frustrating to receive a package in less than pristine condition, I avoid using the post office as much as possible. And by the way, UPS an Amazon use the post office as a subcontractor from time to time which tends to reduce my faith in their services also. I have heard from others that the management at the Shelton post office is not good and employee retention is a problem so when you have a work staff that is new and not well trained these problems arise, perhaps management should be looked at a little closer. read more

Who in their right mind reviews the USPS service during the week before Christmas? I mean, we all know that long lines at the post office are synonymous with the holidays and no one likes to stand around for 45 minutes holding a stack of boxes. Add a toddler at your feet to the mix and you might as well consider the experience a disaster-in-the-making. Still, if there's a post office that can get four stars during the most difficult season then they're a great branch to visit year round. I've now been to the Garland location three times in less than four days. I should really be better about packaging and mailing everything at once but I'm not so I found myself on their doorstep over and over again. The staff are friendly and attentive. Last night they had an extra member out in the lobby making sure folks who were simply there to grab a package received it right away because lets face it, there is nothing worse than standing in the same line with every one trying to get ride of stuff when all you want is to pick up a damn box. I love the self serve station at this location as well. There's almost never more than a person or two in that line and it's quick and convenient. Kudos USPS for making my holiday gift mailing experience as pain free as possible and for all you do the other 360 days of the year...rain or shine. read more

Horrible shipping service, I always get my packages delayed and sometimes won't get them a month later from the date I was supposed to get them, my packages always has problems issued with it from this company, happens every month. read more

Tuesday, November 12, 2019 This review is in regards to the Shelton, WA. Branch of the U.S. Postal Service. Granted the customer service people up front are exceptional in regards to courteous and professional. But in regards to the Post Master Rob, he's also very kind and professional but when I got a chance to see another side of him I was very let down. When I thought of how kind he is up front in customer service and how he treated one of his employees and how he lied to me in person, I immediately thought of the song from the 60's, "Smiling faces, sometimes pretend to be your friend". This employee had just been hired after going out of his way to get a job with the Postal Service. After a couple weeks this employee got sick but instead of asking for time off when it could reflect badly on his record as a new employee on probation, he chose to work through it thinking it may ease up in time. Unfortunately it got worse and he reported his condition to Rob. Rob told the employee that it was important for him to report any time he feels sick. The employee agreed. Well within a couple weeks the cough returned and even his supervisor asked him if he was ok? He reported to Rob and Rob went on to make this employee feel bad/guilty. The employee, not feeling well at all and feeling like he needed to go home, told Rob he quit. Well I called to talk to Rob because this employee is my son who lives with me with my grandkids Malibu (8) and little William (5) temporarily expecting to get his own place soon. When I got Rob on the phone and asked him if he could let me know if my son had any issues I should know about. As a single parent of three, I just feel the responsibility of not only adjusting anything my son needs adjusting but it was important for me to hear the other side of the story. Rob clearly said he would call me back either later that day or the next day. Actually I was prepared to be turned down by Rob due to the privacy laws. So instead of Rob saying "No or Maybe", which would leave the situation open for him to just not call back, he instead told me "when and where". When he never called back I went to the Shelton Post Office and left a verbal reminder with one of his other employees. Still I never got a call back at all. I've talked with Rob before and I understand he is a Navy Veteran as I am a Marine Veteran. I know for a fact, "integrity" is something all branches are taught in training. What happened here? Anyway my son texted Rob asking if it was possible to return to work and again no response from Rod. read more

My husband and I got our passports today and were helped by the literal angel, Danica. I've never been more impressed with another human being. She went into detail about the passport cards and why they are so important ("friends don't let friends enhance their license") She was quick, efficient, and even offered beauty advice (the secret to anti aging is coconut oil and satin pillowcases...just so you're all aware). I've never had more fun in the post office. read more

Been going to this post office for years now. Over that time the staff has changed some and for the most part I think they are a friendlier bunch. On the latest visit the short line was worked quickly and the two agents were friendly with everyone. At times this PO can get very busy. I recommend going prior to lunch hour. read more

I went to this location to renew my passport and they were so helpful and kind! I did the wrong paperwork and they helped me fill out the proper information-- every other post office I've been to has been so impatient and unfriendly. AND there wasn't a line! Always a plus read more
