It's 2016, why can't we leave less then a 1 star? Anyway, I've been calling for days and can't reach anyone to make a passport appt...I'm a disabled vet and have to make a trip there to make an appt? Then a trip back for the appt..SMH ..I know from first hand experience that the employees are getting paid well and can surely answer the phone for customers. Where is the management? Where is the quality control..the checks and balances to ensure that the process is being ran as efficient as it is should be? If I could give this postal office negative stars I would.. Our neighborhood mailbox has a problem with mail theft and vandalism, so they have resorted to having us pick up our mail at this branch. Each time I attempt to pick up my mail, there is a long line and a longer wait than really logically needed. I don't know if it it is just pure laziness or dumb incompetence by these UNITED STATES postal employees...seriously, I had to capitalize UNITED STATES because of just the many experiences with government agencies that you would expect to have it together. I mean seriously--a postal woman employee comes to will call window with a silly, confused grin and you don't know whether she's the friggn janitor or the woman who's in charge of giving you your mail. You tell her you're here to pick up mail and she disappears behind the door for 10-15 mins for each customer while the line gets longer, and longer..where the hell is she, wonders the people of the UNITED STATES..does she take a break each time she has to retrieve mail for a person? Did she get lost? Did she get buried underneath all the mail? Did she forget there was a long line? I'm sickly disappointed..not only about having to leave the line to get to work on time but about how slow, incompetent, and inefficient the USPS is. Ok, rant over. read more

Great customer service by the older Asian gentlemen. No issues so far. It was quick service. My first time here.

Came here today, excellent service from everyone that helped me. From the older Asian lady at the pick up window to the older gentleman at the inside area. Everyone was cheerful, knowledgeable, and polite. Definitely one of the better USPS locations in Stockton. Also, came in around 4:00 and there wasn't a wait at all. Came to the US Post Office on West Lane to mail out a package for business. This post office is probably 3 times bigger than it needs to be. When I walk in the front door, I get flashbacks of my High School hallway. With all this extra room you would think they could get an APC (automatic postage center) machine for the benefit of their customers. The lines were not very long at all. Service was good. read more

Really not my post office of choice. Every time I go, there is always a long line out the door and usually only one person working.. two if you're lucky. Parking is a hassle since it's a single path -- one way in, one way out. If someone wants to wait for a parking spot, the line of cars usually gets backed up all the way to West Ln. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had a package that said it was delivered and sent to my mailbox (USPS online tracking), but there was no key. I'm not sure which USPS location in Stockton delivered my package, so I will copy and paste this to all the of the offices.I paid about $65 for my package. I called, emailed a claim, wrote emails to different departments, but still no reply in further processing my claim. I've gotten calls from customer representatives, but all they said was they can't help me and are unsure what the next step is. Calling them is pretty much useless unless you have time, or else you will be on hold for a very long time and good luck in emailing them because I have yet to receive a reply. read more

I just moved to Stockton,CA last week.I am already having trouble with the lady postman.This Postman told me the mailboxes at my Apartment Complex are dangerous and they would stop delivering to the whole complex.I can't see a darn thing wrong with those mail boxes.I told this postman that people deserve to get their mail.A neighbor mentioned that this carrier was prejudice.I suppose she is looking at the Apartment Complex being old and needing to be fixed up.I think she needs a good write up.Judging from the other reviews all she would probably get rewarded.You know it is Customer Service at its worst when you call and a machine tells you its going to disconnect your call because no one is answering.I was calling because I need a key to my mailbox.The Complex Manager accidentally gave the neighbors my key and I have their key. read more

This place gets pretty busy. The best thing to do is to print online and drop it like I did. The service was slow and poor.

I would give this business negative stars if it was possible. They don't answer calls or deliver my stuff to me efficiently. My neighbor either walk my mail over or I have to go looking for it. The customer service needs help. They told me my package was delivered on a day that I was at home all day an no one knocked on my door an there was no pink slip either. I tried calling no answer then I go down an was told the supervisor would give me a call about my package, I also asked for his number just in case he didn't call (which he didn't)an was given the wrong number when I tried to call him. Had to go back the next morning an the supervisor printed out a Google map view of my place an said this is where it shows the package was last scanned I could of printed that shit put myself. There was no actual printout that shows it was scanned at my location an if so yall don't teach carriers to knock on the door.An basically he told me he couldn't do anything I have to fail a claim and wait. Worse service ever. Sent a package to our customer overnight express. 1 Day Guaranteed Not only did they not deliver the package, but they had it the very next day. It arrived at 9.45 am Friday morning. No one even tried to deliver the package, we called on Saturday and spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get information on the package and then they posted it was out for delivery. The package was never delivered. They never updated the tracking information. They won't return phone calls to us or our local post office who tried to locate the package and in two days no one has even answered the phone. Worst possible service. Do not ship overnight mail to Stockton. They will lose it. I wasted so much time on the phone and not to mention the amount of money on overnight service and I cant even file a claim for 7 days because they lost the package. My new mailman left paper wrapped envelopes and a small package on my front door step in the rain today, seriously, who does that.....I have tried calling to complain but nobody will pick up the phone.....very angry and my mail is destroyed...there should be a no star rating..... read more

This is absolutely the worst Post Office. I put my mail on hold for 10 days and to be picked up in person. I chose to do this because I didn't want my expected packages to be delivered while I was at school to be stolen. I went to pick it up today, it has been two days since resuming service. Waited 40 minutes, no big deal- I know from picking up mail previously that it takes a long time. It's finally my turn! Well, the gentleman says he doesn't see any mail for me.. I told him nicely to look again and no luck with the second try. He basically says there's nothing he can do. I've now been here for a little over an hour. He says that he is going to get a supervisor and disappeared. Must have lost the supervisor as well. Another gentleman came from the service desk side and checked for me. He told me there is no entire post office manager here, but brought the mail carrier supervisor and basically said the carrier is probably delivering all of the mail I requested to pick up to my home. My mom works for the postal inspector and asked me to get the main number, postmaster's name, and carrier supervisor's name. I requested the supervisors last name and he REFUSED to give it to me. The helpful gentleman, Wes, took my number and was apologetic. I go home after being here for TWO hours and what do you know, the mail I requested to pick up was in my mailbox... a big thank you to, Rene, who lied and said he was getting the supervisor and NEVER even came back. read more

I went to the West Lane post office looking for a designer stamp that was a little hard to find. The customer service was incredibly good. They did not have the stamp I was looking for (they were the second PO I had tried) but made suggestions as to where I might find them at other post offices in the area. With their help I succeeded. Third time is a charm, I guess. Teamwork between the post offices was evident, they were efficient, friendly and helpful. read more

I track all my orders and two packages were suppose to come on time but only one made it when they both were shipped from the same location AT THE EXACT TIME. So I'm at work the next day checking my tracking numbers and it said Delivered in/at mailbox and I come home to NOTHING, nothing in my mailbox and NO LETTER letting me know where to pick it up from! I've been calling this location for THREE WHOLE DAYS for MINUTES on end and nobody every picks up!!!! GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. read more

This place is ridiculous. I am trying to call and make an appt to turn in my passport application and the number provided online was incorrect. Finally I got the correct number and called, but for 3 hours the phone was busy. I don't have time to wait all day for the phones to free up. I went to the post office and there were 3 different lines and they didn't have any signs for which line can do what. The first line had a window and someone rung the doorbell and the lady opened the window and looked at all of us and slammed in the guy's face. Talk about rude. I went into the post office line and I got greeted by a guy asking if I needed help and specifically told me I can get help in this line with my application and money order and all of that so I'm thinking "cool." 1 out of the 3 guys called me up and right when i walked up he said "if u need a money order u need to wait for the other guys I ran out" why would u not restock? Anyways so I stepped to the side and let 2-3 people go ahead of me and finally someone calls me up and he said I need an appt. wow I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE AN APPT IF YOUR PHONES WEREN'T BUSY FOR 3 HOURS!!! So I go to a 3rd line that everyone is waiting for and the lady at the window asked if I had a quick question and all I asked was can I make an appt. she said "all these people were here before u" "that's fine I just wana make an appt" and she doesn't even let me finish and she said she's going to close in 30 minutes and it's only 12:30 and online it says they stop taking applications at 1:30. All I wanted to know is if I can make an appt for another day, I don't mind waiting in line but just let me know if u can make me an appt??? Service is ridiculous and all over the place. The only thing I enjoyed about that post office was the bum at the door opening doors for everyone. read more
