Avoid at all costs unless you need to drop off. She'll gaslight you and make you the Karen. On March 30 around 4:00 p.m., I went to a USPS location to deal with a money order that was over six months old. My bank couldn't deposit it because it was "stale-dated" per the bank's own policy. I came totally prepared with the original money order, the original receipt/stub, and my photo ID. The first location didn't know how to handle it, so I drove to this main office per their suggestion at about 4:20. When I got there, I asked for PS Form 6401 (money order inquiry form). Multiple employees told me they didn't have the form available and THEY would need to print it out. Of course, nobody actually attempted to print it. The clerk helping me had no clue how to process my request. When the supervisor, Mindy, happened to walk by, the clerk asked her if I could use the existing money order to purchase a new one. Mindy refused that request. I told them I understood and explained again that I wasn't asking to purchase a new one with the old one, but that I was just looking for a replacement money order. After refusing my request, Mindy just walked away. I asked the clerk if I could speak with her directly. The clerk said she'd go get her, but then came back and told me I'd have to wait. After waiting for an extended period of time, they told me the supervisor "might have gone to lunch" or couldn't be found and to call another/go to the original office, despite their policy stating ANY post office can handle this issue. I asked why I was being made to wait if she was nowhere to be found or went to lunch right before closing (also, what?). Then, magically, Mindy appears, right before closing. Instead of addressing my issue, she completely ignored me and asked the next person in line if they needed help dropping off mail. I spoke up and explained that as the purchaser/payor, I am requesting a replacement as these don't expire. She repeatedly told me they couldn't cash it and that I needed to go back to the original post office. I explained multiple times that I knew it was a large amount and I wasn't insisting on cashing it--a replacement money order was perfectly fine. I also let her know that this was already the fifth post office I'd been to (including the original location), and all of them said they didn't have enough cash on hand. I then pulled up the official USPS policy and FAQ page directly from their website on my phone and showed it to her. The policy specifically states that a money order is considered "spoiled" if you need a new recipient, and that spoiled or damaged money orders can be reissued immediately at no fee as long as you have the original money order and receipt. I explained that since my bank wouldn't accept it due to its age, I was requesting a replacement as a "spoiled" money order with myself listed as the new recipient, exactly as the policy outlines. Mindy literally just pointed at it and asked, "Is it damaged?" I responded that no, it wasn't physically damaged, but it was spoiled because the bank couldn't deposit it and I needed a new recipient. She flat-out refused to read the policy on my phone and just kept repeating, "That is not the policy." She was completely fixated on whether it was physically damaged and willfully ignored the actual definition of a spoiled money order while making it seem like I was causing a scene. Mind you, they were actively issuing new money orders to other people at the counter during this exact time! Despite this, Mindy just kept repeating that since it wasn't lost or physically damaged, she couldn't do anything. She completely ignored the official policy I showed her and the fact that I was asking for a spoiled replacement. SHE EVEN SUGGESTED I BUY ANOTHER ONE. I stayed there until closing time and left frustrated. After finally leaving, I went to another USPS office way out of my way, but closes at a later time. They had PS Form 6401 ready to go, understood the policy immediately, and handled my exact request without a single issue. Do not go here unless you want to be gaslit.

About 40 years ago I remember going in another area for this service and that why I was asking. I remember that being in the south east end of the building not inside the general post office. He rudely said get in line for questions. He was sitting alone at the desk and we made eye contact. He could have said yes, get in line for that, but the shortness was not needed of his reply he said it twice like I was an idiot. lol, then I got in line where he motioned me to go and it turns out that was the front of the line and I was at the back of the line when I first asked him. After I walked back and forth in the Post office and finally got to the correct place in line making a scene because he wasn't quite about anything so neither was I. The same guy J.T. Called my name out for the passport renewal. I just laughed and said it was my lucky day and that was me! He didn't need to make it so difficult and rude. This carried out during the entire process of the paperwork. He had to leave for a second to make a copy and the other poster worker next to him was having a lovely conversation about Boston with a family. I wish I got him. The postal manager of this branch should put Someone else in charge of this service. Most people are excited to get this process done because it means they are going out of the country for most times something fun. JT shouldn't be the guy doing this service because he just can't keep his mouth shut and goes into his personal political beliefs.

Someone please tell Ms RUDE that it IS not a virtue to seek …read more From previous reviews as you can see ,I have been a customer of 2nd St post office long long time ( over 30 years ) I still give 3 stars for other employees at this location. This past month there is A woman sitting next to clerk 6 (?Robert) and she is VERY Rude Today I came in for money orders , Robert always been helpful , I think he's been there for 8 months I had to get outta line , when I came back to get 2nd money order, her window was open ' I don't do money orders ' , so I waited for clerk window 6 As I walked up to window 6 , she stood up with a book in her hand for him , barked at me ' you have to wait ' ...instead of indicating to me ' I'm sorry give us a minute. ' Other customers in line were like ' damn' , one guy filling out shipping envelope turned around looked over her way and sort snickered .. she then had window 6 start entering information of Money order number into computer / n big green book. Now if this was 1st time she was rude and barked a directive at me , I'd write it off she having a bad day , since this was only 2nd time I've seen her in this location . But I came in over a week ago with my elderly mother ( 83 & dementia ) trying to help her send a certified letter to a business . And this same woman ' we don't send certified on envelopes like that' pre printed envelopes .. okaaaay so I popped the item in regular mail box. As I'm explaining to my mom that we can't send the item certified. In many decades , I have sent certified mail , never heard that before . Not sure what this woman's issues are with Me ?!! Or she just got issues period . BUT, While I'm waiting today I saw her go in back , come back out laughing, so I guess she does have the capacity to NOT be rude.

I politely asked the braided hair black American lady clerk on duty for a piece of tape, which I purchased at the counter. The clerk responded in a hostile and intimidating manner, after resisting that she could place a stick on my package being sent out, instead was responded with a low grade attitude including stating "I'm not the one to be messed with," and directed me aside to wait. Despite being first in line, she then assisted customers who arrived after me. Her tone and behavior toward me were noticeably different from how she treated others. Another employee later assisted me without issue and confirmed my package was acceptable for shipment, showing the delay and treatment were unnecessary. I found this interaction unprofessional and concerning, particularly due to the aggressive tone and skipping me in line. I am requesting this be reviewed.

My purpose was dropping off some military care packages overseas for the "FIRST TIME". I had my custom forms already printed, and just needed to attach them which she prompted me to do. One thing I had noticed was how curt she was with our interaction but that wasn't an issue, I understand we're all busy. But after her directing me to attach the customs forms, as I was working on that in the office I noticed when other customers asked her questions or asked for assistance, she rolled her eyes and would just say "oh my god". Rude af. Whatever- so I go back to her to drop off the packages after attaching the customs form and she takes my packages and just prints me out a tracking. I leave but as I'm walking out I realize that I hadn't had to pay postage which confused me since I I never paid online with the customs form- it just gave me an estimate based on my package info and weight . I didn't want to risk having the shipment sent back or destroyed because of unpaid postage so I go back inside and ask her about it. That's when she gives me the nastiest attitude and says "why didn't you tell me that first" and I said "that's why I'm asking you and double checking right now?" And she just proceeds to roll her eyes and basically scold me for not letting her know- but isn't it your job to make sure these packages are paid for (?) I'm generally patient as someone who also works in a customer facing job, but this was extremely frustrating and I tell her "like I had prefaced I had the customs forms printed, but in no way did I ever say I prepaid for my labels? Also I also said this was my first time sending packages overseas to a military member and you would think you would care to double check since this is your job?" Mind you up to this point I had been nice with our interactions and genuinely just curious and wanting to take the correct steps but Nhu was just extremely judgmental and acting like she didn't want to help. Only until I had asked for her name, and a huge line of people started to form behind me did she finally switch her attitude. Unfortunately at the end of this I wasn't even able to ship my packages because of a zip code issue. I ended up going to a different usps afterwards for better help with this issue. So thanks for nothing nhu.
