Don't come to this post office. They have the worst customer service. The Asian female staff is so impatient and rude.

JUANITA, JANINE, JENNIFER TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DOING THEIR JOB APPROPRIATELY. This is a terrible place to ship your packages due to these people who work here. JUANITA The "Angry Manager" has been at her position for the longest time managing everything with anger treating customers however she wants, answering questions with a condescending tone. Juanita just talks because she has a mouth. JANINE: latina worker in the back who told me to bounce (yes with this exact vocabulary) when I was delivering packages. I arrived at 6:30ish pm just to drop off packages for my business after packing all day, Drop off box was full and got stuck, JANINE opens the door to see, I ask her to empy the bins so I can drop my things off, she doesnt do it deliverately and waits until 7pm to tell me at this point I am trespassing and wanted to get me in trouble with the police. Absolutely the most unprofessional behavior I've ever encountered. Grown woman yelling at me about the job they are hired to do. Excuse me if something required their attention and assistant but that is why they work there and I don't. The worse experience I have ever had. Delivered my package to the wrong address. This has happened more than once. Now that I need to call them to have them fix the issue they are taking forever to answer. This is not funny. Usually the packages don't matter as much but this was a gift and it was expensive. It required a SIGNATURE. How can you still deliver to the wrong person? Read the name on the package for once! Postal employees at the Walnut Post Office Suck. They are lazy and do not do their jobs Our postbox is at the curb. If there is a vehicle parked there they will not deliver our mail. I came here to ship a return package, he takes it and stares back at me without saying anything. WTH? So I asked if I may have my receipt. Save your time ladies and gentlemen, I would suggest coming to another post office. I came to this location based on where I was at, so I enter to the customer service and there is no line, and I'm waiting for one of the tellers to call me as they all seem busy, then I go to the teller that calls me and I tell her I just need a receipt. She says oh I can't do that here, you need to use the kiosk. I said I already paid, she said I know, you need to use the kiosk. So I go to the kiosk and the machine is malfunctioning, I ask for her help and she says use the other kiosk. Same problem, then I realized I was entering the wrong number, which clearly there is no instructions on the machine. I wasted about 20 mins here when all she could do was get me a receipt. One or more of their employees at this Walnut post office is stealing packages that are being dropped off. These days, I use the indoor drop off bin at the Diamond Bar post office in the morning before work, however the bin was full and stuck. Therefore, I had to drive to the Walnut post office and use their indoor drop off bin to drop off 15-20 packages. Fast forward 4-5 days later, I was contacted by a customer saying they haven't received their package yet. Checking the tracking number showed the package was NOT scanned at all with the label created only. 5+ years of dropping off packages at the Diamond Bar post office and this is the first time a package was not scanned at a post office tells me an employee at this Walnut post office stole the package...Not cool. read more

I lost my certified mail dropped for IRS got lost no idea what happened. Tried to Track it took a month going around the country from one distribution center to the other never made it to the destination. USPS blaming the sorting machine for the lost mail going in circle. We moved into a new building in Walnut. This is our Post office and they refuse to drop in the mail in the front office. We called and were told that they would bring it in to reception desk. The people before us did not want people to come inside so they had a slot in the wall on the side of the warehouse. ( It is not marked USPS or For Mail). The mail lady showed up on Friday and refused to hand me our mail. She was rude and slammed her door on me. I have called the Post Office and they do not answer. Still trying to get a hold of them .. Clerk named Lan was able to solve my issue. I been shipping packages daily for 15 years, so I know the operations quite well. Ran into an issue that I knew was going to be tough to solve unless I throw away my $40 paid label and I pay another $40 to ship the same package. I haven't dealt with the staff here although unfortunately it's very common that these USPS office workers are VERY RUDE and have 0 customer service!!! but the reason I am giving this location 5 stars is because you can drop off packages mail 24 hours a day (unsure if doors are open on Sundays) AND they have a self serve kiosk with scale that helps you weigh your packages, if it's under 15oz you can ship first class $3.64 max price and you can also get USPS labels at a discount if you purchase through PayPal website. I have a PO BOX here and rental price has tripled through out the years. Quality of service went the opposite direction. Every time I check my mail I find other ppl's mail in my box. EVERY TIME!!! I return someone's mail on Thursday and it showed up in my box again on Saturday of the same week!! I tried to reflect to management several times and I could tell they really don't care. I could imagine someone getting my mail in their box, taking it home with them and throwing it away. I am looking at other PO BoX options now. Stay away from this place!! read more

It's a hit or miss with the clerks. Some days I will get out under 5 minutes, other days I would be lucky to leave within 20. One lady will talk your head off if you allow her to. She will get to know your job, your family, and everything in between. Another looks like she has better things to do than her actual job. I think I've only seen the man hustle around here to tame the line. I feel like there's always a line here. There's an "express" lane for 5 items or more, which actually seems like a lane for the regulars to gab with Ms. Chatterbox herself. She even tried to pry into my life when I had the misfortune of mailing out a boxfull of catalogs. We're not here for your entertainment, lady. I had to decrease the number of stars because the last time I went, I was in a rush already and the fukn lady was having a full blown conversation with the customer about where to get her dog groomed. I WAS SO ANNOYED! but the staff are Ok. you get some that are nice, some that act annoyed, some that love to just JAB their chompers away!! and some that are there to do their job=the kind I like!! In and out with no small talk! I mean if you were at a retail store and you were ringing up my clothes and want to start small talk there than I understand but, c'mon NOT AT A POST OFFICE! I came in today at 2:20pm a few other people came in as well and stunned to find the inside doors LOCKED. WITH NO HOURS OF OPERATION plastered anywhere!!!! I ALSO, came in to send a package and although they had a self-checkout mailing machine there, they HAD NO PRIORITY ENVELOPES OR BOXES ANYWHERE IN SIGHT!!! NOT very smart to keep the boxes inside the locked doors.... They should have it accessible to customers at all hours! and although that machine is convenient. I've had both good and bad experiences with this location, but the bad often outweighs the good due to one or two employees that are just mean. The nice employees are very friendly and helpful in answering questions, but they do seem agitated when you ask too many. The not-so-nice employees treat you like you ruined their lives. Today, for instance, it went like this: Customer #1: Walks up and asks about something that they no longer have. The lady behind the counter basically yelled at her with a very angry face, "We haven't ha that for a long time. We don't have that anymore! Don't ask anymore because we don't have it!" She then waved the customer away like she was a fly. The customer apologized and skittered off. "Anymore"? The customer asked once. Customer #2: I didn't pay attention here, but she still had the same frown and I-hate-my-life-and-you-did-it tone. Me: I asked a simple question because a map had directed me to their location and she used the same angry tone that pretty much says, "Why are you asking me this? Why are you wasting my time?" She then tilted her head, eyes wide open, and gave me a look like she was going to kick my butt if I didn't move away from the counter. I've gotten this lady many times before and she is always mean, but some days she's extra hateful. I'm fine with not getting any sort of friendly service, but do you really have to treat people so badly? Coming to this location, you're at a great risk for getting this type of treatment. Long line on a saturday! My hubs was waiting in the car so i opted for the machine. BUT there were no slots to put my packages in. I instead lined up (by this time, the line had one person in queue) to hand it over the counter (I wasn't sure if people would think I was cutting in line if I just handed it to a postal worker behind the counter) and hopefully, get a receipt, because I like to make sure they scan my package and get it in the system so that my customer sees it enroute to her/him. when my turn was up, lady wordlessly got my package and after a heartbeat, I said "Umm, can I request for a receipt?" "We don't do that.", she replied. "Loma Linda USPS does that for me all the time" I shot back. She huffily explains that they'll scan it when they have time but now need to handle customers. For all the time she took saying all that crap to me, she could've just picked up her scanning gun, and printed a receipt for me and had me out of there in no time. Sigh. read more

This place is HORRIBLE. Horrible customer service. There was a mistake in my package's weight and when I started asking the lady questions she tells me "If I don't like it then to get out." Not once was I rude to her when asking this questions either. I was simply asking questions and she decided to say this. Super disrespectful and no care for their customers. This worker had the audacity to disrespect me after waiting in their long line. I even had the patience to wait in this line and I understood the busy times the post office must be going through since it's the holidays. I wasn't angry at all about the line but the fact that she gave me attitude and disrespected me sealed the deal for me. The other workers are more understanding and kind but this specific worker is rude, disrespectful, and has no class. She knows exactly who she is. This post office needs to hire better respectful workers. Unbelievable. I went to another post office nearby and they had no problem with my package. It was just this specific worker who thought she knew everything. If she was aware of the rules, how come I've never had a problem with her coworkers or other post offices. All in all, this location needs major improvement and brand new workers. If you can avoid going to this location, please do so. You'll probably just be disrespected and humiliated like me. Some of the clerks here are lazy and can't speak English well. There was no line and all I needed was a receipt for mailing a package but she forced me to use the kiosk where I had to figure out how to get the receipt. I am not sure where all of the negative reviews are coming from. I've lived in Walnut for 20 years, and I have always had good encounters with the staff at the Walnut Post Office. I've gotten better service there than I've gotten at most post offices -- I'm looking at you, Rowland Heights! Even the Asian guy, who most people have complained about, acts professional, albeit a bit brusque. I just think that the complainers are spoiled suburbanites who are used to being catered to. You want rude, extremely indifferent service, try going to a post office in a big city like Los Angeles! My only complaint is that due to the recent upswing in mail thefts in Walnut (both from residential mailboxes and from the boxes at the Post Office), access to PO Boxes is no longer 24 hours, and no longer convenient for me. read more

I love that this is a tiny little community post office in my city. I appreciate small town parts of this city. Unfortunately, there is also a big commercial area surrounding the city that seem to contaminate this little post office. The lines can get long, especially since this is such a small area. I have had a PO Box at this USPS location for years. Since sometime early this year, a lot of my mail has been delivered to the wrong PO Box. I have also been getting others' mail. When I confronted one of the staff once, they literally shrugged and said "I don't know" and walked away from me. This is so unprofessional and I wish I could have gotten their name. I am usually understanding and give a benefit of a doubt... This is five times too many. In addition, many residents in my neighborhood have also voiced their concerns with packages not being delivered or even delivered to the wrong house. I understand that USPS is underfunded/understaffed and staff morale is low, but this is still unacceptable. read more

This location is great. No matter how ling the line is the staff is always on top of things and the line goes fast. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is a pretty busy location in my opinion but the staff knows how to handle it. They are always fully staffed too. I appreciate their fast service.
