US Post Office May 28, 2026 (2/5) As usual, the US Post Office looks like it's been frozen in time since the 1960s, and this location is no exception. The interior feels dated, the equipment looks dated, and the whole environment is a strange step back in time the moment you walk through the door. You'd genuinely think that the federal government, of all institutions, could afford to update its workers' workplace and give the people who keep the mail moving a modern, state-of-the-art facility to do their jobs in. Instead, post office after post office continues to feel like a museum exhibit of mid-century federal architecture and 1980s technology. The most absurd example I noticed here was the security cameras. They are absolutely massive -- the kind of giant, brick-shaped units you'd expect to see mounted in a convenience store decades ago, not in a federal facility in 2026. It's the sort of detail that, once you notice it, you can't unsee, and it tells you everything about how little the building itself has been brought up to date. The other consistent gripe across every post office I visit is the lack of self-service options. There are never enough self-checkout or self-service kiosks for the volume of customers coming through the door, which guarantees long lines and frustrated patrons no matter how hard the people behind the counter are working. The clerks do the best they can with what they've been given, and I have no complaint about the workers themselves -- they're stuck operating in conditions and with tools that don't match the demands of the job. This isn't really a critique of any one location or any one employee. It's a critique of a system that, decade after decade, can't seem to invest in the modernization its own workforce deserves and that the public clearly needs. If the federal government wants the Postal Service to be taken seriously as a modern, competitive institution, the buildings, the equipment, and the customer-facing tech all need a real upgrade. Until that happens, expect a slightly time-warped, slow-moving visit every time you walk in. read more

ever since I moved last year and got my address switched to this post office, the mailman has messed up my orders from not leaving packages in the right spot to not delivering packages due to "nowhere" to leave them but it said at door. I have had packages that I needed, get shipped back because the employees have told me the wrong times the mailman comes back to drop off left mail. read more

I sent an important business letter, with a tracking number. It has saposably been sitting on same truck for 8 days now. I talked to our local post office. The supervisor said if I wanted garenteade delivery I should of paid $30 for that service. That they will not do anything or refund my money. Was made clear it's is never garenteade to be delivered if you don't pay for garenteade delivery. Will use alternatives to the USPS from now on. read more

I'm giving them one star because there's no option to give them O. The worst shipping service out there. Send a package to Houston where my mother paid an extra $10 for it to arrive in 3 business days.In addition, the package never arrived, meaning it was lost. Customer Service is TERRIBLY BAD!!! I have called twice and they only tell me that they do not make refunds and The second person I spoke to on CS even hung up on me and left me talking alone.I mean, there's no one who can give me a solution regarding my package. read more

Rude employee when attempting to retrieve my package via my sister. Was on the phone with my sister and told her "this lady is rude" in Spanish after hearing how she was talking to my sister, very condescending. The employee immediately said "I speak Spanish" in Spanish, and proceeded to say this is policy you cannot pick up a package without a drivers license. I was willing to FaceTime so she could see me and my drivers license since I wasn't able to be there physically since I am a travel nurse that works 0646-1915 at OU. They refused to leave my package at the address I requested, because "I wasn't listed on the address" which I've been traveling for 2 years now and never had that office, and have been getting other packages the prior weeks at this address as well. I begged that they please work with me because I was able to provide my license via FaceTime and then she said I had to be there personally. I told her I couldn't just leave my patients early, my schedule didn't allow and I needed my package for my trip that Wednesday which I would've had to have been at the airport before the post office opened. When I asked if someone could wait on me to come, I'd be a little late but I'd head straight there she told my sister, AFTER rolling her eyes and seemed HIGHLY inconvenienced, that she would talk to her supervisor. She shortly came back out and said "your sister has 10 minutes to get here, we close at 7pm" . I'm ok if you really aren't able to make accommodations but to get that kind of customer service at this Midtown OKC Post office was the worst experience ever. Im not sure if it was a power trip but honestly, being rude right off the bat was so uncalled for. If you can't be professional, respectful or at least kind, find another job that doesn't require customer service. read more

Dear Mr Postman, I think you guys have some of the hardest, most important, yet thankless jobs in the world. We couldn't get by even a couple of days without you, and yet we almost never even get a chance to thank you. I would especially like to thank the Passport people who work here. They have recently provided excellent service to both my dad and me, and I really appreciate their friendly attitudes and helpful ways. This Post Office is the center of the Downtown action, and as a result, I think they get and keep the best people. The parking is easy and they have every service you need. There is literally nothing worse than going to the post office to me. The lines are always long, the hours are funky, and generally you can tell the staff is overworked and beat. The Center City post office in OKC is none of these things! They have fantastic hours, open until 7 pm weeknights, and for being downtown there's ample parking out front. And of course, the most important is that the staff is fantastic! Even when the line is long I have no problem because they are all so friendly towards everyone. Downtown locations often get a large variety of people, which is no different in OKC, and I've seen the staff go above and beyond on many occasions. Located downtown OKC across from the bombing memorial, this "Center City" USPS has the best, centrally located Post Office with great business hours, which are Mon-Fri 7:00am-7:00pm; Sat 8:00am-2:00pm; & Sun they are closed. Notably, they also have great customer service along with free parking in their parking lot that's restricted to Post Office users only. read more

Calling the number listed for this post office makes me want to shoot myself in the face. Over an hour wait times to talk to a human being and I can't even use the automated system because if a pin drops in Indonesia it asks me if I said "zip code" or something equally ridiculous. It doesn't give me time to manually type in the tracking number of my package and never understands when I say it out. Might as well put a menu option for the suicide hotline on there because that seems more useful after 20 minutes of struggling to talk to a machine for absolutely nothing. read more

Maranda was so kind, helpful, and patient with me. I had a huge box of Christmas gifts and it took awhile to get them packed in a box, just right. She was never rude and acted like I was the only customer there, even though they had a line of customers, due to the holidays. I usually feel abused after leaving the post office, but not at this location. Lol read more
