Martin at US Smog was beyond helpful today! I called ahead and asked what the wait time was (only one car ahead of me), he asked what kind of car I drive and met me outside when I arrived! He told me the check would take about 15-20 minutes but I was in and out, paid and done in no more then 10-15 minutes! Martin was very kind and I am so thankful at how EASY and QUICK getting this smog check was. I will absolutely go back to this location again! read more

Tested and passed everything except ignition timing, which means I failed and lost $42. Went to a mech to fix the timing and he said he couldn't fix it because the timing is a preset and unable to be changed. Tested again at another smog test only ($50 in), and passed. Wildest waste of money I've ever spent in my currently unemployed life. pros: fast testing, $10-off coupon at the website, which I think merits the 2 stars. cons: Risky business. If you fail, there's nothing you can do to get that $42 back. Worse ROI than gambling. read more

This place was great! The guy working the counter was friendly and he did a great job of keeping us updated on the status of our vehicle. It was raining and he even went out of his way to park the car so we wouldn't get wet when we were leaving. Great service, great price, and very quick. By far the best experience that I've ever had at a smog place. read more

HORRIBLE! Martin whoever the heck he is or he may think he is, is extremely rude and does not care about anyone and is literally there to ruin your day. I've called this place twice and gone there for the first time ever today. Both times over the phone and today in person he was cold, rude and disrespectful. He failed me for a random reason that he found and then charged me for a failed smog check that did not help me at all and wasted my time. He says it takes 15 minutes max but it took him 30 minutes to tell me it failed with some bs excuse. I took it to three different smog check locations and all three said they would've passed first time around and were confused as to why he chose to fail me. Never ever going near this ugly store and even uglier acting employees. Now I know why he is literally always sitting there doing nothing with no customers no one likes him or this business. I will make sure to write my review on multiple sites and apps and to let all friends and family know how horrible you guys truly are, hope it was worth it whatever your reason was to waste my time and fail me for no reason. Fast, friendly, and professional. My car has aftermarket parts on it, and they didn't bat an eye. They verified that all the parts were smog legal and were up and up and by the book. I called ahead and learned that the regular price is $55, but they are running a $29.75 special, bringing the total to $41, inclusive of certificate and electronic transfer fee (to DMV). I have had so many bad experiences with mechanics over the years that I have become extremely skeptical and distrustful of everyone in the industry as a whole. The gentlemen here have restored my faith in the auto repair industry! I called ahead to make an appointment for a smog test, and was told to come right down. Upon my arrival I was greeted by name! I added on an oil change, and the technician took the time to show me that my front axles were cracked. He quoted me for the parts and labor, and it was out of my price range at the time. My car did not pass the initial smog test because my car's internal computer had not reset itself yet from a previous check engine code, but the gentleman suggested I drive my car 150 to 200 miles to reset it, and then it should pass. He was 100% correct, and it passed. A second technician mentioned to me that my shocks needed replacing as well. I had a friend of mine take a look at my car, and he confirmed their recommendations. I highly recommend these guys because they are honest and forthcoming, not to mention friendly and polite! read more

Stay far away!!! False advertising and corrupt business practices. Went to this place today and everything passed except the OBD system check. Then the guy, Martin, asked if we recently had a jump or replaced the battery in which we actually did replace the battery 2 days earlier. It would make sense for that to be one of the first questions asked since it most likely will fail the test. He told us to drive it around for about 100 miles or so and come back and pay for another retest. One of the main reasons we went here was because it clearly states on their website that if you fail you get a FREE retest. I informed him about the website advertisement and he tells me he's been telling them to take it off their website and that they changed their policy a while ago and we have to pay for a retest. He couldn't grasp the concept that doesn't change the fact that it still advertises that. Then I ask to speak with the owner and of course he's not around. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB. read more
