Coupon was for $38 with certificate but said we didn't qualify for it and it would be $70. Also said that was the cheapest around. Paul is a scammer. I showed him the coupon off his website that said $29.75 (for a car newer than 2000) plus $8.25 for DMV fees. He said that the website people did not update the website and now the price is $75.75 plus DMV fees, totaling $84. He said he will honor $10 off so the price so the total price will be $74 plus tax. Paul says it's not his fault that the website people did not update the website. I asked him when the price changed and he said last week (Dec 2023). Watch out and I bet he will say the same thing to people a year from now. read more

Was excited to find this place online for $28.75 + $8.25 certificate. Went there, no waiting. (That should have been my clue) A large sign says show coupon first, which I did. From start to finish, he spoke in a very curt voice. He immediately said, "gimme your renewal." I handed it to him and again very curtly said, "it's $60!" I asked why and he said, "it costs more for a star certified smog." Okay, well in my experience of smogging multiplee cars, I was never charged more for a "star certified" smog, ever. I decided to go ahead and just be done with it since I was already there. Immediately, he asked if I tow my vehicle. I replied yes. Within 3 minutes he told me that I didn't pass. Asked if I had my car worked on recently. He said they just cleared your check engine light without actually fixing it. They had told they ran it and couldn't find anything so they did clear it. But to bring it back of it came back on. It never did. But that wasn't what was wrong. It then just dawned on me that we have a kill switch for our battery when we tow it. And I also remembered we need to drive the car at least 200 miles after hooking the battery back up to reset the cars onboard computer. My fault. He then told me that I should never unhook the battery when towing it, (he knows because he has 7 Jeeps). The computer will go out if its reset too many times." It explains to do so in the owners manual. We've been doing this for 13 years with this car and have never had a problem. Curtly, he says "go drive it and bring it back." He said that it would be $51.75 for today. I then said, "okay, then after I drive it bring it back here?" He says, "Yes, then it will be $32.70 + $8.25 for the certificate." So basically approx $100. to get a smog, when he could have easily asked how long it had been since we towed it and it would have saved me a ton of money. Bad customer service, very curt in his responses, giving false information, and lost a returning customer. He acted like he didn't need the business. I never just go somewhere on a whim without checking them out first or without being referred. I learned a very valuable lesson. read more

Some of the best prices in Mission Viejo... minus the 35 cent fee for debit cards. This is a small station, it seems. There are one or two "rows" of pumps -- definitely not a mega station. It's a bit difficult to get in an out of (because it's at the corner of Marguerite and La Paz), so if you miss it... well... you'll need to U-turn and deal with all of that. ;) I've never been here for any smog work or into the little shop... just for gas, if I'm running low! 2018: 80/100 read more

Very rude lady working there. I asked the Asian lady that works there to turn the air on for my tires. At first she ignored me and after I came back again I thought she did not hear me well. I went back to ask her again she said you need to learn to wait till it's your turn and she refused to turn the air. Just because I did not put gas on the gas station she was not happy. I am a regular customer and also neighbor , I even know the owner. I will definitely make sure the owner knows that such a behaviour. but will never go there again.
