My experience was terrible. They bid the job which included a little framing and demo of the existing door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After some rescheduling because their people did not show up on the earlier appointment, a person finally showed up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The guy took a look and explained how I was going to need to get a framing contractor to do the framing and that he couldn't get the old door on his truck. The bidder and I walked through it all, the framing details, the demo and removal of the existing door and install of the new one including where the door opener was going to be installed. The only note he left for the installer was bring extra 2x4s. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The installer spent an hour talking to 'someone' about it all and then eventually had me call the office.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They bid the job and could not do the job. The company seems quite disorganized. Don't use this company. It used to be a local family-owned business that did great work. it is now owned by a big company in Las Vegas. They have only one installer for all of Western Washington state. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arranged for both of our garage doors to be fully replaced. They scheduled it for August 8, 2025.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had prepaid half the amount, which is reasonable since they have to buy materials. They charged our credit card for the rest on the morning of the scheduled install. That seemed inappropriate to charge before the work was done. They sent one poor guy to do the work of a team. He got one door partially done and was supposed to come the following Monday. No guy, no call. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called several times to find out where they were. Seems that no one knew my job wasn't finished.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Installer came back on Tuesday and finished the first door, and partially the second. The second door won't go up because the installer was given the wrong specs. A different guy came out on Thursday to get the right measurements. We're now 10 days without use of the second door and the company can't give us a date for it to be finished because their only installer in this area is now sick. He was professional and was able to give me a few options at different price points for the repair. Had a great one in the truck but it had too many bells and whistles that I didn't need. So instead of rescheduling, he called his office and they made me such a terrific discount that I gave them the go ahead. Unit installed in 20-30 minutes, has two new remotes and works crazy good with little or no noise. He pointed out that my springs were a little loose because of age and told me to keep an eye on it. I have never encountered a more unprofessional company in my 10+ years of community management. Our apartment building garage door got stuck yesterday and we called and spoke with Joe around 2 p.m. to ask for service. I was told a technician would be dispatched for service between 3-6 p.m. We sent out communication to our residents letting them know of the issue and that a tech would be onsite shortly. At 3:15 I received an automated text message stating the tech (Justin) was on his way and would arrive shortly. This was the only communication I received. At about 5:20 p.m. he had still not arrived so I called and again spoke with Joe asking for an update only to be told that the technician had already been there and "saw someone else working on the door" so he left. I was baffled and told him that we had not called anyone else to work on our door, that if he saw someone else tampering with the door it was not an authorized person to do so, and that he never contacted our office or myself to let us know that he was onsite. The response I got was, "that seems to be a YOU problem, not an US problem". My jaw dropped. As a professional in customer service, I couldn't believe this response. I asked if by any chance he could come back and was told we would have to wait until tomorrow morning between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. I asked if they could dispatch someone as an emergency and was told they don't have an after-hours emergency service. This property is in downtown Seattle and we already had reports of transients in our garage. We sent out new communication to our residents asking them to secure their vehicles and not leave any valuables in sight as we braced for the many complaints about car break-ins that would likely happen overnight. At 7:38 am I was given a call to confirm that the tech would arrive between 10 and 11 a.m. I asked if he could please make sure to contact the office to let us know when he was onsite and they confirmed. At 11:30 am, there was still no tech so we called for an update. We were told by the dispatcher "you know how it is with guys like these sometimes" which we don't because we run a professional business. After 27 minutes on hold, we were told that the tech that was assigned to us had quit because "he just couldn't do this anymore" and that we were in part to blame for him quitting. We asked if they could send someone else and were told that they called other techs and no one could make it out, sorry. We could not believe this type of unprofessional interaction. As my team and I were trying to figure out a plan, the tech shows up. We told him that we were told he had quit and called Davis Door back to see if we should allow him to work on our door or not since he was supposedly not an employee anymore. They chuckled and said they had "misread" the tech's notes and that he had actually submitted his notice, not quit on the spot. Needless to say, we will not be ever using them ever again. I wish I could give negative rating to this place. They are highly unprofessional. My garage door was offtracked so I gave them a call at 03:30pm and they said that the technician would come in between 4-6pm and noted my address and contact number. I waited and gave them a call at 05:30 to check the status but they said that they have no records of me calling to them and that someone can come in next day. I told them that my garage door is not closing so I would want someone to come in that day itself to get it fixed. They told me that they would send someone between 6-9pm and that they would call me half an hour in advance. I called them again at 06:30pm to check and they said that no one can come in today and the earliest would be tomorrow morning. They did not even have courtesy to give me a call and informed me when I called that they cannot come in. Second, they kept me hanging. They could have said no at 03:30pm itself so that I could approach other services. On top of everything, they were saying that I never called at 03:30pm. My garage door was stuck midway so I couldn't take my car out and I had my 1 month old daughter's pediatrician appointment the next morning so I had to get it fixed that day. I had to then search for other services after 7pm and pay for emergency services to get my door fixed. I would not recommend this service as they cannot be trusted at all. read more

Buyers Beware. My parents have used this company many of times the past 21 years. When my husband and I moved into our house in 2017 we had Victor come out and service our garage door. We recently needed our springs replaced on our door. On our bill there was no breakdown for parts and labor. They charged us $650.00 plus tax to replace our spring in the door. It took less than one hour to replace. It also states on the receipt that the technician told us that we will need to replace the bearings next spring and nothing was ever mentioned to us. This is no longer a family owned company. Nor an honest company. They will rip you off. I called many other companies and they are all around $300.00 to replace. Today, their technician, Nick, came out to check my garage door, which had made a loud popping noise when I opened it last night, and I worried something had broken, even though it was seemingly working OK afterwards. He came and checked it, told me he knew the signs of anything serious wrong and didn't see anything, suggested I don't need a maintenance right now because we had one about a year ago and we have very modern, durable equipment. I own a rental property in Bothell, and I had tenants living there when the garage door malfunctioned. My property manager requested the services of this agency and their technician Skye Adams inspected and gave me a quote. He informed me that the motor operator had failed and suggested replacement. I informed him by email that I would like to purchase as I wanted the warranty in my name and not in the property managers name and asked if he could install it if I were to purchase it and he informed me that he could and gave me an oral quote for it. I purchased a chamberlain garage door operator after mutual discussion with him and asked how I give it to him, and he suggested to leave it with the tenants. I left it with the tenant's and informed him accordingly and asked him to send me the invoice when done and I would pay it. Till here, everything went with mutual discussion and consent. I had to leave out of state and while I was busily engaged in the east coast, I get a call asking that I make the payment. I informed him that I was busy and would check with tenants how it is operating and make payments. He told me that that was not the agreement. I told him to check my email wherein I had asked to send the invoice. On this I disconnected the phone. He called again and said I need to pay right now and threatened to remove the garage door operator if I did not pay him. I told him that I would check and make payment and also informed that I have not been able to connect with tenants. He started using abusive foul language. I disconnected again. After another 15 minutes he called again using vulgar language and threatened that he would sue me for not making payment immediately. I disconnected again. I subsequently got confirmation that it has been installed properly. I called their office and made payment immediately. I also informed the office about Skye Adams abusive nature. He got his revenge by not leaving the warranty. May the Good Lord protect all the house owners who have to use Skye Adams to install their garage door. Caveat Emptor. George Thomas. The company came out initially for an inspection, which I thought was comprehensive, but I later found out that they did not look at the door weather seal. After the inspection, it was pointed out to me by an exterminator that the seal needed to be replaced. When I reached out to the Garage Door Works, they came out for a free inspection, but when they agreed the seal needed to be replaced, they wouldn't waive the service charge. If they pointed this out during the initial inspection, I would have had it repaired rather than paying for two service charges. read more

We paid them $800 to install a new garage door opener in November. The keypad they installed stopped working not long after. We had someone come out several times to try to fix the problem. Months later we still have a keypad that does not work - completely defeating the purpose of a garage door opener. My last two attempts to get them to come out have resulted in 1. Them not returning my call. 2. Them scheduling an appointment and then never showing up. So we are now going to have to pay to have another company come out to fix the problem. So I am stuck at home today. Would you like to know why? Because my car is trapped in my garage due to this company refusing to repair their garage door hardware change/installation from a few months ago- despite a "warranty" that they refuse to honor. Apparently it was not properly aligned and made popping noises then jumped off the track. They did send their guy out on a service call in response to our call today, but once he got here- he demanded more money to repair the door!! He then left after refusing to do anything without being paid more money. Since then they have not returned our subsequent calls (it's been about 7 hours since he took off). When we showed him the paperwork, he first denied that it was their spring(?!), then when he was showed their receipt for the spring, he denied that it was under the warranty, which was clearly untrue. The warranty clearly "covers parts and installation as long as we own the doors". We spent $$$$ on them putting in new rollers, new springs and aligning our already existing doors during a garage makeover, only to have it get stuck shut. Again, only a few months ago. read more
