Very quick, went around 1145 and there was one person he was working on, but only took 5 minutes. Syvonne worked quick and my smog only took about 10 minutes even less than that it felt like. Great price it was $50 and the garage is clean and neat with seating. Recommend!

I had an outstanding experience at this STAR-certified smog check station! I showed up right at opening and was helped immediately. My smog check was done in less than 20 minutes, and they even take care of all the DMV paperwork for you, which makes the whole process completely hassle-free. I pulled in at 12:05, was told that it would take 15 minutes and I was paying by 12:20. The price was very reasonable. This is a STAR station. Message from business: "$45 for most smogs, vehicles 2000 and newer. Trucks, vans, and suv extra. Excludes sundays. Please mention yelp check in offer upon arrival to receive your discounted quote." Without yelp discount it is $50 ($41.75 smog plus $8.25 for certificate). I went during lunch time and with two people ahead of me, I only had to wait about 20 minutes. The computer on my car was being slow and the Tech didn't complain or give me a hard time. He just patiently waited for it to finish. Very nice, friendly and professional. Pricing is more than fair. If you're having g a hard time finding it, it's in the same lot as the little car sales lot. read more

My new go-to SMOG spot. I appreciate the value and professionalism of this place. I got in and it was not busy at all. Even though I forgot to take my registration form, the staff was able to locate it with my VIN while assuring me it will still be ok. The service itself was very efficient and quick. A standard SMOG inspection and no surprises. Best part is their upfront and honest out the door pricing when requesting a quote. Some places give you one price but don't disclose a "certificate fee". They only charged me what they quoted, which was also the best in town. read more

Went to this location to get my smog completed & was told I failed only one thing & after having it corrected I came back for my free retest & was told that one of the things I passed just a week prior was now failing. I took my vehicle to a different establishment & my vehicle passes & I was told that nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I'm not sure why this place failed me on my 2nd retest it I felt it was shady & there may have been something else that caused my vehicle to fail other that my vehicle it self. I'll never return here again! read more

Very fast service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, Clean waiting area. Music bumping, and best of all HONEST. I had questions and concerns but the staff were able to help me get my car smogged, Another smog shop next door told me they cannot smog my car because my exhaust needed to be cut and welded for whatever reason. But it wasn't true. The staff here checked the problem the other shop said I had. And they told me nothing was wrong with the car. And everything look good, So they smogged it. Car passed with flying colors. And still cheaper than the other guy, got my tags same day. very glad I found this place I highly recommend this spot read more

Found these guys on Yelp and they gave me the best quote! When I called to tell them I would be about a half hour early they were cool with it. When I got there I saw a few other cars, one was waiting behind another one and both stalls were full. The service guy came out and checked me in. About five minutes later he moved one of the cars out and I pulled in. 15 - 20 minutes later I was on my way home! Great customer service too!!! read more

Parking space here is limited, so be prepared for that. When I got here, there were 2 customers ahead of me, one finishing up a smog check and another just had his car towed here for repairs. I was helped within 20 minutes after arriving and was here a total of about 40 minutes total for smog. Again, great and quick service. The waiting room isn't too bad. They have a huge tv you can watch as you wait, magazines and a few chairs you can rest at. There's also a huge window where you can see into the bay. There's also masullo pizza next door if you want to eat while you wait, but the technician might be done with your car before the food arrives. Pricing is average for getting car smogged, and they do take credit card. I'll continue to go here in the future.

Two years ago, I took my 1986 Chevrolet van to Smog N Go on Orchard Loop Lane in Elk Grove for a smog check, and it failed due to an evaporative leak. Looking for answers, I brought the van to John at Auto Express. John performed a smog test, and the van passed. I returned to Smog N Go with John's test results, certificate, and a video of the test being performed, and they refunded my payment. From that moment, it was clear that John's integrity and expertise made all the difference. Last week, I returned to Smog N Go for another smog check, and once again my van failed--this time because of a reported gross evaporative leak and timing said to be set at 18 degrees BTDC, even though the correct specification is 4 degrees BTDC. It was a frustrating moment, but it also reminded me of the value of having someone you can truly rely on. I brought the van back to John at Auto Express, and once again it passed the smog test. John discovered that the wrong vapor line had been pinched during the evaporative test, which likely caused both this failure and the one from two years earlier. He also took the time to investigate why the timing had been set to 18 degrees BTDC by carefully examining the distributor, vacuum advance, and vapor lines. In doing so, he found that the vacuum advance was not working properly. What impressed me most was not just that he solved the problem, but that he approached it with patience, care, and a commitment to finding the truth. John was thorough, knowledgeable, and transparent every step of the way. He explained the issues clearly, replaced the faulty vacuum advance along with damaged vacuum and vapor lines, reset the timing to 4 degrees BTDC, and provided a smog certificate for my van--all within just a few hours. I left not only impressed by his skill and professionalism, but also grateful for his honesty and dedication. Even though I live in Elk Grove, I will gladly continue bringing my vehicles to John, because people like him restore your faith that exceptional service, integrity, and true craftsmanship still exist.

Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! When they were finished with the car, I went up to pay, which was the first time they mentioned they did not have the bulbs and could not change my headlights. Since that was the entire reason I brought the car in, it very much felt like they took advantage of the opportunity to make some money rather than be honest about what they could do for me. He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!
