In March a good friend of mine called me up and said that he found a good painter for me for the…read moreright price. He also recommended that I would do it right away. I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.

I cannot rave enough about Mario and his team - I would give them 500 stars if I could! We had…read morealmost our entire home painted before moving in - walls, trim, ceilings, closets, just everything. The attention to detail was beyond - Mario and his team scraped and plastered and patched so that the walls and all the rough areas (including some closets that needed a ton of work) look like new construction (the home is almost 100 years old). They took the doors off of cabinets and sanded and then painted. They sanded all of the baseboards and trim before priming and painting. We had them remove this falling-apart wallpaper in one room, and it looks like new walls now also. The hinges on the doors were half-covered with paint, and when Mario's guys saw them, they offered to paint them entirely or get the paint off of them (by soaking? I don't know) - we opted for the latter and they came out GORGEOUS. The home also had some sort of dark finish on the trim and doors on the second floor, and we wanted it white. Mario's also did an incredible job with that. I told him and his team that they were like artists - their work was simply perfection, the attention to detail everything I could have hoped for. Oh, and at the end, the clean up was spectacular. As if they hadn't gone beyond already! I just feel so lucky we came across them and went with them when we chose painters, and I cannot wait to hire them to start on the outside of the home. Mario and team, thank you thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. We have a real home now, thanks to you.

Further the quote and price of the work was extremely reasonable and quality was still superb! In the front, they scraped and prepped the entryway, front door, and 2nd floor bay window as well as removing and patching the transom frame to open the space up--they then painted everything including the window trim across all three floors. In the rear of the home they scraped our wood siding and replaced any rotted wood with PVC, then repainted in a color drench. The team also removed a wood basement entry structure that was rotting in the back and replaced with a newly framed door. Lastly the team also removed old and installed new custom basement windows in the front granite of our home including new trim and waterproofing, as well as painting. The team also did small finishing touches at no extra charge including installing a new entry light and hanging window boxes. We are already planning future projects with Mario and his team!

Before this…read moreI tried calling 5 or 6 other plumbers and handymen around my area, all of which were unavailable until later in the week or backed up until the end of the month. Imagine having an kitchen with no running water for that amount of time; that's not the news you want to hear. Enter John Mosely from The Last Task. He tells me over the phone that he can swing by and take a look at it after he's finished with another customer. Quotes me a reasonable flat fee, figures the job shouldn't take more than an hour anyway. So far, so good. John arrives less than an hour later, starts to work, and quickly realizes that the old faucet is a tough nut to crack--literally, because the large nut holding the old faucet in place is super tight and near inaccessible in the cramped quarters under the sink. An hour and a half of blood, sweat, and tears (but mostly sweat) later, John is about to call it quits, but not before calling his more-experienced handyman partner to come help, reassuring me that he wouldn't just leave me high and dry. While we're waiting, we decide to give the Faucet from Hell one more try using a basin wrench, but this time extending the lever arm with a long steel pipe John found in his van. The additional leverage did it--teamwork prevailed, the nut was defeated, and the rest of the faucet replacement went smoothly with minimal problems. John's character stood out to me in his attitude. Even though the job was more frustrating and took longer than expected, John remained professional, friendly, and positive throughout the whole process. He was honest and did not attempt to upcharge me for the additional time spent. I can tell he is passionate about his quality of work, the satisfaction of his customers, and the reputation of his business. I'd recommend John to anyone looking for a painter/handyman with a can-do attitude, and if his service is indicative of that from the rest of his workers, I'll be sure to give The Last Task a call for any other task I have around the house in the future.

He went above and beyond the call of duty and never once complained. Thanks so much for your services. I will be sure to contact you again when in need in the Woburn, MA area.
