A…read morewhile back, I bought a $210 upgrade kit for my Duramax that this company makes every other day in house. The upgrade consists of 3-4 high pressure hoses and fittings to and from the transmission. Last night, one of those hoses contacted something on my frame and blew, turning my truck into an 8000 pound brick until I can replace it. I contacted Merchant this morning, requesting a replacement hose that I would pay for, since this was no manufacturer defect. I was told that they could not plumb up a replacement hose, but I could buy another $210 kit from them. Their website talks about personal service and integrity. I'm going to call BS on that. A company of integrity would have quick plumbed another hose. BTW, hose was a basic hydraulic line. Since we're down to one vehicle, the Mrs. drove over to NAPA and they were happy to plumb one up while she waited about 10 min. $68 out the door. Thanks for nothing MA.

Meanwhile he can't produce the parts he supposedly replaced(but wasn't given the okay to fix) When way more serious issues were happening. Talking with this dude is like dealing with a kid, and they have no business working on cars. His positive reviews are oil changes , headlights, and wiper blades, all these can be done by a gas station attendant. And oh by the way...one time around the block once the car was home and BING-check engine light back on. So we walked away. I'm no sucker and I'm not going to pay full price cash+ for any used vehicle. So if you are dealing with this outfit, expect to pay more than full price. And so the folks at the business know, we found the same vehicle two years newer and in equal shape with only 30,000 miles more at Miller Auto Sales Inc. in St Louis, MI.
