I know every can't t gets access to a USO but it's worth the review. Others have airline lounges, but military get the USO. Being able to walk in and be welcomed and interact with Veterans and active service members is something you cannot get in the Delta Lounge. And the free food and sleep room is the cherry on top. It's not fancy but it's comfortable and I look for them at all airports I travel through. read more

After a long flight, this USO is very welcoming. Lydia and her USO team welcomed my family with drinks and light snacks in the morning. We hung out for an hour before our rental car was ready. This is the USO - NOT THE AIRPORT. Most of the reviewers probably don't even know what the USO is. But its not their fault. Yelp has them confusingly labeled as "Orlando International Airport - USO" and "Orlando International Airport - MCO" respectively. Probably 90% of the reviews and pictures are for the airport. The USO does NOT have TSA or long lines and does not lose your bags. I've suggested an edit correction to Yelp HQ to use their official name - USO Central Florida, but they didnt seem to listen. As for the USO, its your standard (good) experience - free food, places to relax, computers to use, TVs and video games, a quiet room etc. Stop posting reviews for the Airport here! In all honesty I was not a fan of this airport. I felt like the security process and TSA agents are much nicer at my home airport. The wait time on lines were very long. Traveling by train through the airport is also not always easy to do with small children. The food options were good, as well as the seating while waiting at the terminals, but overall I was not a fan. read more

This airport is so fun! It's got a ton of different shops and restaurants to enjoy. It's also filled with a ton of comfortable seats, all of which have their own outlets. DIA is practically perfect, but I definitely wish they had as many outlets at MCO. The only real downside of MCO: it's confusing. Thank goodness I came here with my mom, otherwise I probably would've gotten lost or gone through the wrong security line. Thanks mom!! read more

While making a quick stop thru the Orlando IAP, I made a short visit to the USO. It is located in Terminal A on level 1 (near the rental car counters). This is a new location and was nicely decorated, everything was new and clean. The decor was a nice balance of the local theme parks (Disney & Universal) and national scenery. It has a several sections that is focused on all type of USO visitors. There is a video game area, kids play area, movie area, tables and counter top areas with plenty of outlets to charge your electronic devices. There is also monitors that displays flight information for your convenience. They have a K-Cup coffee machine, microwave, fridge and some snacks for everyone help themselves (free of cost). The staff are volunteers and were very friendly. After signing in, a staff member gives you a quick tour of the center and makes you feel welcomed. Although my visit was only long enough to eat my sandwich and charge my phone & laptop. The place was nice and I was very appreciative of the volunteers' work to maintain the upkeep of the center. I wish I could've left a larger donation, as every USO kindly accepts donations to help provide services and products to service members, military families and retirees. read more

Friday night 2145 My two rides were vying for who could be later in picking me up from the airport. I had already painted on three coatings of nail polish so I decided to look for a USO. Turns out this USO has barely opened for a week and it was all sorts of sparkling. + Their fridge wall is impressive! They stock my favorite vitamin water (the inventory probably changes) along with a big display of fruits, yogurts, drinks, and microwavable foods. + Pantry is also well stocked + Plenty of tables, chairs, couches, and walls separate patrons from each other + Litany of reading material all around the USO + Separate sleeping room with dim-able lights and reclining seats + Beautiful layout and decorations + Very relaxing, but possibly because nobody else was around Since the USO was still putting up one face of the wall and needed to stay several more hours, the staff permitted me to stay until I had to leave. I notice that a lot of the reviews are for the airport, but this is actually the USO, not the airport! This USO is very nice and spacious, with a cool gaming section and space to store your luggage while you lounge. We did not stay long, as it's before you go through security. The volunteers were lovely, and it was nice to grab a refreshment and rest a bit before traveling. read more

This is such a wonderful USO! They have gaming chairs for separate gaming systems, there were between 4-6 of them. A great bar sitting area in the snack areas. A separate toddler area, lounging chairs and just so much space! The volunteers are the nicest people! If you get a chance stop in here, grab some snacks, take a snooze or just kill extra time for layovers. We always stop on our way out and in, it is right next to the terminal car rentals! read more

This review will take into account arrival into MCO as well as departure from as I am writing this review in a lounge before I fly home after vacation. I arrived at gate 47 and proceeded to head towards baggage claim. This place was packed with people and it was a challenge at times navigating around the blobs of people that populated the terminal walkways. My arrival was on a Thursday in summer. It's a short walk to the APM (Automated People Mover). The wait isn't too long as I waited 30 seconds before one arrived for pickup. It's a short ride back to the main terminal and ticketing area. Walking out towards baggage claim, you get to see the TSA security area. This place was overflowing with travelers. I was glad that I didn't have to wait in the TSA lines on my arrival day. Baggage claim is on the 2nd level and after grabbing my bags, I took another escalator to the 1st level or ground floor. This is where I checked into Disney's bus service. The arrival day experience was fairly smooth for me in an otherwise packed airport. On departure day, after getting dropped off by Disney's bus service, I headed up to the 3rd floor where the ticketing counters are. I departed on the 4th of July so the numbers of people at the airport are significantly less than my arrival date several days ago. What a relief that was. After checking in and dropping my bags off, I headed over to TSA pre-check where there was no one ahead of me at the ID check station and also no one ahead of me in the X-Ray line. That's a fairly rare experience at an airport like MCO for sure. A short trip on the APM and I am now back at my airline's lounge. There are a lot of walk-up places for a quick bite to eat as well as sit-down restaurants. There is a Disney store, Universal Studios store, and Sea World store as well as a multitude of other stores to peruse should you get here early enough and want to kill some time. MCO is a nice airport and most importantly, it's the airport that you fly into when you are going to Orlando for vacation. read more

HOLY SMOKES. I was coming from D.C. and was still overwhelmed by how large this airport was. Tons of well kept restrooms, friendly staff, and diverse store fronts. I visited during Thanksgiving so things were a bit hectic/backed up, but that's to be expected for the holiday season. I was able to get through security in less than an hour. read more

This has got to be one of the busiest airports I have ever been to. Having said that, it's absolutely amazing how efficient, and will organized the layout of this airport is. With over 200 gates, traffic and people flow through the building and through the property effortlessly. There is an A side and a B side. Just determine what airline is on what side. All of your arriving and departing flights will be taking place there. Just like all airports, you cannot park to pick someone up curbside,just a short period of time to load up. If not, there is always someone with a whistle to get you to move along. If you leave your vehicle unattended. It will be towed. Drop off and pick up always a breeze. read more

The Orlando USO is currently open from 8 AM to 8 PM. Yes, we had limited hours during 2020 - 2022 due to a shortage of volunteers and the Covid-19 shutdown. Our primary mission is to serve active duty personnel and their families. We also serve Gold Star families and Military retirees and families on a space-available basis. We do NOT serve veterans. That is the national USO policy. We do not have the resources to serve the millions of veterans. read more

Pretty decent airport. Main complaint is that it's pretty busy and I'm told that's the norm. Large. Busy. Tram to the terminal after you check in. Warning! Arrive early. The traffic can be bad getting into the airport and security wait times are always long. Note: even if you have priority (e.g. because of a first class ticket) you still have to wait in security. The priority line only cuts off the first few rows of line. After that, you merge in with the general public line anyway. read more

If you have to travel, Orlando international Airport is best airport to fly to or from. I give it five stars because of the layout and the ease of getting around from baggage claim to ground transportation. If need a rental car you will not be disappointed on how easy it is to get to the rental location and the return drop off. Great airport. I never have a hard time getting through security- about 15 minutes wait tops. It's beautiful and seems like a mall, which is great for layovers. There is a hotel attached, which I have stayed at several times, and I love being able to feel like I can go to the main terminal and get what I need as well. Staff has always been friendly as well. This is a beautiful and clean airport! It almost has a museum feel. There are a lot of beautiful plants growing everywhere. They have a lot of places to get a quick bite to eat or to a full sit down place. There are plenty of little souvenir shops where you can get anything from snacks to a portable speakers lol. Of course we can not forget about Mickey Mouse and Minne. They are strategically placed throughout the airport. So if you have forgotten to get that last minute gift. I must say, for an airport, Orlando is pretty decent. I think it's well organized for an airport. The have a nice selection of restaurants and bars. Never really had any problems when flying to and from. If you're a smoker though, you'll have to go out past security to smoke. The best part for me, is I currently reside in the Tampa Bay Area, and for whatever reason Orlando is always like $50 or more cheaper than Tampa International. The only downfall for me, is that drive to Orlando. But, it's worth the savings in the end. At least for me. I would definitely recommend flying into Orlando instead of Tampa. You're going to have to drive a bit but the cheaper tickets and better airport all around, is worth it. read more

And after landing here I can say that this is a pretty cool airport. This airport actually has a shuttle to takes you from one end of the airport to the other. The shutter right is actually really nice you get to see the Palm trees and the beautiful views of Orlando. If you have a chance to have a great gift shop from seaworld Disney world and they believe a universal's studios gift shop. They are a really put well put together airport where they get people into check in really quick TSA works really hard.
