If I could rate this USPS a 0, I would. Every time I come here it is a mess. Either long lines or short lines with incredibly long waits, pick your poison. The Mail Hold Pick-up windows is the worst of it all. They close the door and expect you to believe that someone is actually working it. I'm currently waiting in line for over 40 minutes with 5 other people, and not a single person has opened the door. We've asked the people at the outbound windows if someone was working the pick-up door, and they've told us there is with an annoyed look on their face. Rancho Park Post Office is currently designated for those impacted by the Pacific Palisades wildfire to pick up mail. My brief business brought me here yesterday. Minutes past the 9:00AM opening the usually empty parking lot was nearly full. Full of 90272 residents, their lost looks, a to-go coffee cup in hand, bound in camaraderie, their freshly washed, ash free vehicles, those vehicles not without the residual smoke of their homes, their neighbor's homes imbued in the undercarriages, a not so subtle in the air reminder of the devastation, the incomprehensible loss. MAJOR props, FIVE STAR props to increased USPS staff hustled at lobby check-in processing, then to deliver mail to those waiting in chairs outside with total efficiency, compassion. Despite this post office being the one closet to my house, I absolutely refuse to go here. The people that work here are so rude. UNBELIEVABLY OBNOXIOUSLY OUT OF LINE RUDE. There is one African-American woman with a wig that looks like it came from Amazon who is THE WORST! I am a huge fan of my local post office and the team who work there! I mailed 2 very important packages to NYC on Friday morning. Being that I was mailing the day before the weekend, I didn't think my gifts would get there the day they said it would, which was Monday. ( 3 day delivery that is cost effective and much less than other options)... however, much to my surprise, the items arrived this morning... joy, joy, joy! I'm so happy! Sadly I've had a negative experience at this post office 2 times with the same black woman with very short hair. The first time she was working behind the counter and was rude to the customer in front of me then very short and impatient with me. Today I drove an hour from work to get there by 4 :00 and arrived at 3:59, rang the buzzer in back and she opened the window and said we care closed. I spent over 40 minutes in this office just not to be helped at all Originally, I came to mail a certified piece of mail and get money orders The original worker that was helping me was so busy on her phone. It took her over 10 minutes just to do my certified piece of mail. When will I learn not to ever use this post office! I mailed about 250 large postcards with first class postage to friends and clients for the 4th of July holiday. I also mailed one to myself. When I didn't get it , I started calling some people to see if they received their postcard. The majority had not received their cards even though I mailed them a week before the holiday. Avoid this place if at all possible. These employees first of all never check their Yelp reviews because they have to figure they are all extremely negative. They are the laziest bunch of canine fecal matter you will want to stay away from. Their laziness was on display this afternoon. Their signs all say that they are open until 4 pm on Saturday. I showed up at 18 minutes to 4 and the doors were already locked and there were at least 7 other people who were waiting outside to do their business, but those lazy bastards like many other days I have shown up a few minutes before official closing time had already locked up. I only give two stars because many of the carriers and USPS office personnel are the most hard working, professsional people I know. If not for that, I would give 0 stars. The administrative aspect of USPS is a disgrace. Management should spend less time micromanaging their employees, and more time training their carriers correctly. It's hard to understand why a forwarding order should be ignored by a carrier and an insured Priority package with nearly $12 of postage and $70 of content can't get to its destination. Would love to know where it ended up! Try filing a claim! It won't go anywhere. USPS just decides to close the claim saying it's beein resolved, and that is far from the truth. No satisfaction from any level. This is the last time I ever ship anything via USPS. Paying all bills online and in person so don't have to buy stamps. Just lost a longtime customer. read more

I do not usually do one star reviews but the experience my partner and I had at this location was just awful. In my entire life I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism in a customer service setting. I arrived with my partner to pick up a package that we have been having issues with for over a week. For some context, the package was to have been delivered on 1/21/23 and we received notification that the mail delivery person could not get inside the apartment. This is the first red flag as the callbox was never used in an attempt to grant entry and mail is delivered to the apartment daily with no issue. The notification stated that another attempt would be made on the next business day. The next business day comes along and nothing. We open a case via email on 1/24/23 and received no response or update until I called 1/26/23. The contact center rep who helped me told me that unfortunately the case was still under investigation. They did say they would leave notes on the case and be sure to have someone reach out to us via email for an update the following day. 1/27/23 comes along and we get an email from Darryl Milam stating that the package is available for pickup and lists the days and hours of when we can pick up. Saturday from 9AM-3PM was stated in the email and we went on 1/28/23 to pick up with the expectation that this ordeal would finally be over. WRONG. My partner was yelled at from across the room by someone claiming they could not help him. "We don't help with packages on weekends." At that point I joined him in the office and we were met with the most unprofessional, insulting, and rude experience. The woman who helped us refused to give me her name and eventually said it was "September." She started off the whole interaction by telling us that, "I already told you that we can't help you and it's not gonna change." We began to try to explain that we received an email and she cut us off telling us she wasn't interested in hearing our backstory. At that point I was just speechless. My partner asked if there was someone else we could speak to and she said that no one else was there. We then asked for the contact information for the manager and she wrote down a generic phone number and said, "If anyone answers the phone they should be able to help you." We then asked who we should be asking for regarding the phone number and she said whoever answers, if anyone answers. We called the number and no one answered. More was said during our interaction with her at the counter but as we were walking away she had the audacity to tell the next customer how "crazy" we were acting. The hostility we received by this individual was completely uncalled for and something needs to be done. This was the absolute worst attitude I've seen at this post office that I frequent regularly. The female sitting behind the counter near the package drop-off seems to be a miserable, unhappy person who hates her job. She tells me I have to drop my packages in the rolling bin that is sitting next to her, on the OTHER side of the counter and does so with an attitude. I had to toss my boxes in as I could not reach over the counter, nor could I push them in as I do not have long arms and am not tall. The mumbling and attitude got worse. She tells me, you can just push them in, you don't have to throw them. I told her I can't reach. I must say, in all the years I've dropped packages off here, this is the ONLY instance where the clerk told me I had to get the packages in the bin sitting beside them on the opposite side of the counter. Mind blown. The other pleasant female clerk with glasses who typically takes those packages is one of the most pleasant people at this location. Very nice! She showed me how to use the self-service kiosk and answered any questions which was so kind. I then go to the next window and the second female clerk there shouts at me that I am cutting in front of the next person, who is my elderly mother. We came in together and my mother cannot hear well. The female clerk asks my mother if she is indeed with me and my mother didn't respond as she could not understand what was said. I responded and was told, "I am not speaking to you. I'm speaking to her." I told her she's my mother, again, and that she cannot hear. To which she responded, "how am I supposed to know that?" Had she just listened to me in the first place, it would have been a moot point. Female clerk gets upset and then REFUSES to help me. Thankfully, her supervisor stepped up and she was very pleasant and professional. Funny enough, I've seen the second clerk many times and I've always been pleasant to her. I once defended her when I belligerent man was berating her. Never again. I usually go to the self-serve kiosk, but this time I had about 35-40 packages so thought I'd use the scan sheets. I may try postal pickup in future, but not sure how that will work. I have to continue frequenting this location for convenience and will ONLY use the self-service kiosk. There's no winning with some people. But then again, how dare I expect one to do their job without an attitude. read more

There's nothing I could say that hasn't been said already. I run a business that relies on this post office to "deliver" our mail and packages. We close at 4:30 (same as the last 8 years) and since Covid our regular mailwoman has not made it once to our location prior to our closing. Instead, she prioritizes the residential neighborhood on the other side of the street and claims she cannot deviate. For regular mail, no big deal. However... we will have vendors ship packages that are essential to our business. There has never once been a "package unable to be delivered, please pick up at Post Office" note left. This has resulted in my tracking her down after work (about 50% chance the package is in her vehicle) or going to this dreaded location. The picture indicates the pick up window you will see when arriving at this establishment. Is it open? Closed? Who knows. They used to have a sign stating "The energy you bring is the energy you will receive in return." I can't say it was very accurate and I'd assume that's why it's no longer up. I've waited for 30 min at times to find out my package is still on her vehicle (6 weeks is the record). I then was able to get the number of the supervisor for my area. After waiting on hold for about 20-25 min I was told he wasn't there and he didn't have a voicemail or is able to take messages from the person answering the phone and cannot make outgoing calls. They have accomplished the ultimate victory in being so inept that I do not even expect them to do the bare minimum of what a post office should do. read more

First it sent false online tracking information showing that my package was delivered on 10/14/2024. After I complained that 10/14/2024 is a USPS holiday and there was no delivery, it sent me a letter stating that it was delivered on 10/15/2024. The letter is to deny my claim. The discrepancy shows that this office lies. The phone number there is (310) 268-0624, but no one answered the phone calls there. Someone just keeps lying on behalf of USPS and keeps ignoring my appeal. This fraud ruins the reputation of USPS. I never had any problems with USPS in the past. Corrupted! read more

I've had the same thing happen both times I've been here - I get notified that my package wasn't delivered and is at this location for pick up. When I get there, there is either a long line of people waiting to pick up a package or there is no one there to help you and don't even think about asking the people who are working at the desks as they will tell you to wait. Atrocious bottom of the barrel nasty customer service. You can literally get on your hands and knees and be bleeding out near death and they won't lift a finger to assist. Over 30 years renting a PO box here (literally thousands of dollars) and have had to kiss butt above and beyond what is ever necessary to get assistance and even then, angry, sour faced clerks. The lobby can be empty and no line and they won't grab a package or vacation mail hold. They will lie to not assist their customers. I've asked for a manager several times only to be told no manager is on premiss only to call directly from the lobby and speak with a manager. Would give Zero stars if I could. I was nice enough not to get the name of the woman who was serving me but I should have - condescending, lazy, unhelpful. She did not provide instructions clearly - told me I need a box and I asked where as there were two displays of boxes. In the middle of asking her and pointing to the boxes, she told me to look at her in an extremely condescending rude way (there are flat boxes and also example boxes in front of them). She provided unclear instructions on how to find the right size - I listened and tried to find the correct box. Completed it and went back into the line. Got back to her and says "you have to tape it" and I asked where do I go for that. She goes "you have to tape it" and I wait for a response and that's when I told her she was being condescending in tone and lack of help on instructions. She was much more helpful after that as I think the manager came around and I only realized it was the manager after he left. Crazy part was she explained the tape was on the box already (why didn't she just say that before) - but later when she assessed the box, she said "oh let me put some extra tape on for you". SHE HAD A ROLL OF TAPE THIS WHOLE BLOODY TIME! I don't understand why a service worker would make things so difficult for a customer when the service person could make both of our lives easier by including clear instructions in the first place. My receipt says "clerk 26". Whoever this lady is, I don't regret standing up for myself as she would've continued being extremely and intentionally unhelpful, and if she continues this, I have no doubt others will react the same way as I did in telling her that she's condescending. Do you like anxiety? Well you are in luck. This place well not only give you anxiety with a dose of rage, this place will also leave you bald after all the hair pulling. We had a wedding dress shipped to our apartment. The mailman, didn't bother loading the large box onto his truck and instead left a nice little notice to pick it up from this beloved post office. We followed the mailman and he told us that it's still at the post office because he ain't about to walk up the stairs with a box. P.S. they leave all deliveries by the mailbox for easy pickings for thieves. We go to the post office knowing full well that we are going to throw down some mean glares and eye rolls. We get told that the package is on the truck. Well no it ain't. The woman behind the counter refused to look. When we told her we ain't leaving without the package. Finally, a man behind the counter got the woman to look once again and like a magic trick the package with the wedding dress seems to have appeared out of thin air. No apology, but an obvious eye roll was delivered along with the package. These people are lazy, and some of them even might be thieves.
