Dusty, unfilled and disgusting display

Just pitiful. Post offices have sadly been declining in recent years but this is especially bad. They haven't bothered to paint or seriously clean in many years. Surly staff, depressing atmosphere and an overall prison vibe. I feel bad for the staff here yet they have such a bad attitude that it rubs off on the customers.

The building is old and lovely, as many other post offices are, and parking is fairly easy. Maybe it's my energy or something, but most of the time I go in here, the folks behind the counter are rather unpleasant. They don't want to chat and can often be condescending, but not even in a cool, Bukowski kind of way, more like you're a naive child. Ultimately you can get what you need done here, just be ready to take a deep breath as you approach the staff.

There is an individual who is frequently inside the lobby asking customers for money, despite a clearly posted "No Loitering" sign. This also wasn't the first time he had approached me. During my most recent visit, he approached me again and I politely told him no. Instead of leaving me alone, he started running after me through the lobby while holding his sign. I was so frightened that I ran out of the building. No customer should have to experience this while simply trying to mail a package. I hope something is done to ensure customers can safely use this post office without being harassed or chased.

We arrived fully prepared with all original documents (Social Security card and birth certificate) for what should have been a straightforward and positive experience. According to your website, this location provides passport photo services, so we did not bring photos. There was even a photo backdrop visible on site. When we asked if photocopies of our documents could be made, Alexis responded by rolling her eyes and answering with visible disgust. From that point forward, her attitude escalated into openly rude and hostile behavior. When we asked about passport photos, she dismissively told us to "go across the street" without providing a business name or clear direction. When my husband asked for clarification, she responded with more attitude, saying, "that's why I'm giving you this paper," instead of simply answering the question. When we asked if we could return after getting the photo and still be accommodated, she responded in a condescending manner, as if we had asked something unreasonable. Her tone throughout the interaction was disrespectful and unnecessary. After we voiced concerns about her behavior, she then asked for my ID in a confrontational tone--"do you want to give me your ID?"--as if I had refused to provide it, even though it had not been requested from me earlier. It felt as though she was shifting blame onto us rather than properly guiding the process. She then went to the back after having heard us address her attitude to her coworkers and to her directly. When she returned literally 20 minutes later, she was overly cheerful with the customer behind us and made a loud, sarcastic comment to the next customers--"thank you for reading the application directions"--clearly within earshot of us and in a tone that was obviously meant as a jab. Other employees present were polite and even acknowledged that this behavior is typical for her. I requested to speak with a manager and waited approximately 15 minutes, but the manager refused to come out, claiming to be in a meeting. I was given a name and a general phone line, which either went unanswered or was picked up and immediately disconnected. This entire experience was unacceptable--especially for a scheduled appointment involving an infant. This should have been a simple and positive process, not one involving hostility, sarcasm, and lack of basic professionalism. Employees representing the United States Postal Service should be held to a higher standard of conduct, particularly in customer-facing roles. After leaving, I read all of the one star google reviews specifically talking about this same person. How does someone like this have a job, let alone for the government????

This time, we came for passport services for our child & we were WALKING OUT before our actual appointment time. Came in 10-12 minutes before our appointment, we were greeted & walked right into the office. Ms. Ida (pronounced ee- da) was an absolute gem! She is hilarious & efficient. We had all our documents in order beforehand. Both parents have to be present along with the minor. I feel like if you come prepared, you'll be just fine. Expecting other adults to hold your hand through the process & getting frustrated at them for your lack of understanding is unfair. They are very kind & helpful but please understand you are not the only customer there. We paid via debit at the counter & Shiekh was also very pleasant. Overall 12/10 experience!

As a petite woman who's 5'2", this was a bit of a challenge, and I didn't even pull all the way into the teeny, tiny parking space because I didn't want to scrape the car on my left or the concrete pole on the right that I was wedged between. I raced to the doors right as they were about to lock them and caught my breath. One more guy made it behind me. The line was long and going all the way out into the lobby, and even though there were only 2 postal clerks behind the counter, the line was moving fast. The clerk who helped me was a friendly lady whose name I don't recall. She may have been wearing a name tag, but I forgot to check. She asked for my tracking number and ID, then went back to retrieve my package. She came out a moment later, I signed for it, then bid everyone goodnight and happy holidays. In and out in under 20 minutes! I was surprised at how patient and friendly both clerks appeared to be, considering the long, holiday line. I'm sure it will only get crazier and crazier leading up to Hanukkah and Christmas, so try to get there sooner than later, and give yourself ample time to beat the traffic and navigate their small ass parking lot. Don't be like me - I mean, "someone who isn't me" - driving in the bus lanes and speeding to get there! Happy holidays and happy new year!!

There were 2 workers here when we arrived and the line seemed long, both workers were very pleasant and smiled and made small conversations with each customer. The guy that helped us had a great smile! It was his birthday, so we wished him a Happy Birthday! He helped us with a Change of Address and told us to step aside to fill out the application, but once we were finished, we could walk up to his counter. Metered parking only, and the time for these meters is 30 mins. After waiting in line and filling out our application, we just made it under 30 minutes. I am giving this location 4 stars because of the smiles and positive attitudes I received from the workers today. I am also happy this office is open on the Saturdays.

I have had a least 3 credit cards either lost or stolen in the mail, which is extremely frustrating. The most recent credit card was stolen and the person tried to use it to pay for $200+ at Target! Thankfully a block on the card so they couldn't use it anymore, but they probably just used someone else's stolen card. They really need to crack down on theft. On the occasion I have had to go in for something, I try to go during times I think they'll be less busy. I think the longest I had to wait was 10mins., which could have been much worse so I'll take it. The people working there are usually fine, some even pleasant l, so I gave the review an additional star, but USPS has a long way to go to turn the negative views around.
