The service was excellent here, and they have plenty of menu items to pick from. I had the cioppino, which was prepared excellent and tasted amazing. For parking, it's a little bit tight, as it is in a small strip mall. Also, it would probably be wise to make a reservation in advance. Definitely would return if I was in the area again. read more

This restaurant lives up to the hype! I have heard of the great preparations of seafood at this establishment, and the chefs do indeed cook/handle fish and shellfish masterfully. Appetizers/starters: we had the Florida clams in garlic and the jumbo scallops. The clams were cleaned properly with no grit/sandiness, but the cheese/garlic sauce were a bit overpowering. The jumbo scallops is definitely a highlight, with the right amount of sear, cooked through without toughening the meat, and let the natural sweetness of the scallops shine. The added touch of the pork belly is the savory complement to the scallop's sweetness. Entreés: we ordered miso seabass and grilled tuna with goat cheese. The Seabass was glazed lightly with a sweet teriyaki sauce, and cooked to perfection with the "melt in your mouth" texture. The grilled tuna was served with lobster risotto and tomato sauce, which is italian its preparation. The risotto was cooked nicely, and the lobster bits pop with flavor. The tuna itself is hardy, meaty, and tasted fresh. The restaurant is one large open area, seated cozily, and very lively and vibrant. With all the high reviews we thought we'd give it a shot. The atmosphere is very casual beer and wine only. Service slow. We had the miso salmon and red snapper entree. Food was average at best. We also has the spanish poutine which was fries topped with chorizo, gravy and cheese - OMG! So so delish! In Naples, for a weekend, Yelp reviews led us to this nautically themed restaurant for their creative seafood. Yelpers did not let us down! My husband and kids loved the nautical theme. I thought it was a bit cheesy. Most customers were pretty dressed up for this place in a strip mall. Having just swung into town , my family was quite casual but the staff was very nice about it. In fact, the staff was ultra nice, efficient, and friendly all evening. On to the food. We had several apps. My sin did not like the Caesar Salad ($7.95) because the croutons were spicy so we sent it back. Both boys did well with the Corn & Fish Chowder ($6.75) which was thick and full of fish. Perhaps there were just a tad too many potatoes in it. Husband had the Five Spices Kurobuta Pork Belly ($9.75). All I can say is yum, yum, yum! The pork was so flavorful and the sauce had apples, raisins, caramelized endive. I could just luck up the sauce by itself. My appetizer was the Seaweed and Seafood Trilogy ($14.50), three different seaweed salads topped with sea bass, lobster tempura, and salmon. Also, a great fish. The lobster tempura and seabass were absolutely delicious. The mains did not fare as well. Believe it or not, probably the best one we got that evening was a fried one, husband's Admiral"s Tso's Fish and Shrimp. Not overly battered and with just the right amount of spice and sauce, this was not like your take our Chinese General Tso's. 10 year old"s Lobster Ravioli was very good, although a little rich, creamy, & sweet for my taste. The biggest disappointment was the entree that 9 year and I both ordered, the Seared U-8 Diver Scallops. ($28.95). The scallops themselves were perfectly cooked & tasty but otherwise, there was way too much going on in this dish: leek fondue goat cheese polenta (which was pretty lumpy with huge leeks), bitter cacao (maybe my palette is just not that sophisticated but this tasted like a melted chocolate bar on my scallops-yuch!),pork belly, black garlic emulsion, citrus beurre blanc.,,,I would not recommend this dish and I really did not eat much of it. We shared 2 desserts, a Creme Brûlée and a Strawberry & Vanilla Cake. Both were delicious. Overall, a very pricey but good meal. I would return. Asian fusion meets Mexican. So I had a Peking duck taco. Really they do make a dish Peking duck taco. Now it was not so big I could not get their version of calamari then topped of this feast with GRILLED SWORDFISH "CIOPPINO" which consisted of "saffron crab risotto, scallops, shrimp, chorizo in a grilled tomato and red wine broth" and a big piece of swordfish. The dish was again a fusion of Asian, Italian, Mexican. Wow Mr. Fancy Pants your old friend me had quite the supper. I can say that all the fish was boiled or grilled so no breading right? After really enjoying this restaurant the first time many years ago and going back a second time, just as great we were traveling through and stopped in for a good meal. It was a bit hit or miss. My adult son did not want the Seabass which killed me because I wanted to share a couple of things so we settled on appetizers and his personal favorite which was the admiral tso chicken. He utterly loved it. It read a bit sweet for me. I've had this authentic dish in the past at great Asian restaurants and it's more of a sweet and spicy gravy versus a thick sweet jelly. However my son was happy, this was good. We shared the octopus appetizer which for me was a total mess. It was for him as well. It just like 9 million things on a plate that fought each other. Tomatoes and romesco sauce with pears that were boiled with grilled octopus. We also had the tuna tacos and they just weren't great. It was just a thick smaller fried shell with tuna in it. There was slaw on the side but there was no room to get it in the taco shell. Super bland. Onto the good things... The crunchy grouper was actually outrageous. One of the best things I've had in a long time. We then finished the meal with The most epic dessert, coconut cream pie. I am not big on sugar but it was outstanding and not overly sweet. It was delicious. The service was great. I will definitely be going back and ordering my Seabass along with that crunchy grouper next time and I will make sure and save enough room for that coconut cream pie that was absolutely divine. read more

It is a wonderfully nice place and one of the first surprises is the size of the menu. The website does not seem to do well at all in covering all of the offerings and in fact that is the only reason why this review is missing that fifth star. Fix the menu on the website! I had a goat cheese and pear salad to start and followed it with Nemo's signature dish: Miso Broiled Sea Bass with citrus-ginger butter sauce, steamed rice, asparagus, and carrot tempura. Wow! This is basically as good as it gets in Naples and we've tried at least 5 different seafood places this trip. The reviews are on point! I've been here twice, once for lunch and another time for dinner. I will say I love their taco choices but they don't offer the Japanese style choices at lunchtime (e.g., spicy tuna or salmon tacos) and that was a bit of a disappoint. Nonetheless, they still had their infamous sea bass at lunch and portions are the same but way cheaper. Yay for that! I had it my first time there and demanded that my best friend order it and nothing else. We can't mess with the best, right? We also got to try the sweet potato fries and the grouper taco as starters and both were delish. My fiancé and I visited this place on Labor Day 2018. It was not busy with only 3-4 tables occupied so we were seated right away. We ordered poutine for an appetizer (fries with cheese curds and gravy). It was delicious! We also were served fresh sourdough bread and butter while waiting for our meal. He got the tuna bowl and I had the brisket sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Both were very good. Only disappointing thing was no fountain drinks. You are served cans of pop, which are $2.75/each. They do close mid afternoon at 2 pm before the dinner hour so be aware of that. Great little place in the middle of a strip mall. What a delicious meal! My fiancé and I decided to spontaneously spend the day and night in Naples yesterday so it was up to me to find a spot for dinner for the evening. I'm so glad I found this place and was able to make a reservation because it was absolutely delicious! We were seated right away after checking in for our reservation and given water and bread service. Our server was so polite and attentive, truly top notch. I'll review food below: Wedge salad- this is a side salad but it's huge! We could have easily shared this. Lots of dressing and bacon chunks Arugula salad- I loved this. The dressing is very tart but paired w the spicy greens and the pecorino cheese and red pepper it's simple yet delicious. Yuzu shrimp- think bang bang shrimp elevated. The shrimp were pretty big for being an app dish and the sauce it's tossed in is both sweet and spicy Filet mignon- I know I know a steak at a seafood joint? But he doesn't eat fish and we had shrimp as an app so he ordered meat and when I say he finished it and darn near licked the plate Im not exaggerating Nemo Ultimate Miso Sea Bass- the best sea bass dish I've ever had. Period. I was so darn happy. It's worth the upgrade to the ultimate for the lobster truffle risotto believe me. I received a dish with two large portions of sea bass that just melted in my mouth, there's no other comparison. Grilled asparagus and the risotto I was actually sad when I took the last bite. Key lime cheesecake- this was really nice as well and a good way to end the meal. It's shareable so don't order two. USS Nemo is a 4.5 Star restaurant. I visit Naples twice a year, and try to make it to Nemo at least once during those two visits. Located in a strip mall, the decor is very plain on the outside. Inside, it has an underwater, nautical theme; round windows, and round aquariums in the wall as 'portholes'. Tables are very close together, as the space is small. Reservations are a must. The number one item people order here is the Miso Broiled Sea Bass. You'll find that every restaurant in Naples offers this dish, and my BF has tried them all. Yet, it is the Nemo one he keeps coming back to, and swears it is the best in town (in the universe?). The most recent visit, our table started with the edamame (loved the sauce they were marinated in), and the grilled calamari (fresh, but the red sauce needed more flavor). For my entree, I had the Indian style prime tuna, and this was probably the best thing I have ever eaten here. A generous piece of blackened tandoori spiced seared tuna served with yogurt raita and dill sauce rice, mango chutney, sauteed green beans and cherry tomatoes. Outstanding flavor combination. I know our server has worked here for years, and while he was friendly (if distant), he was way too rushed. He had tables inside, and outside, and the lack of attentiveness was the main downside to our meal. For example - two of my companions had empty water glasses before they even finished their meals, which were only replenished when he ran by to remove the plates. The service was great. I made reservations and came at 830pm on a Monday so it wasn't crowded at all. First time in Naples and tried out Nemo's because the reviews were mostly great. Food was disappointing. I ordered the SeaBass. The flavors were confusing. The sea bass has a sweet glaze on it. The risotto was good but also very saucy. Risotto is supposed to be creamy not dripping. Then there was an additional sauce surrounding the whole plate. The asparagus was a nice to break to the soft saucy texture. There was 1 fried bok choy leaf added for texture but didn't do the trick since it soaked up so much oil I needed to peel the tempura coating off. Overall this dish is convoluting and confusing. It's too bad bc Chilean sea bass is such a great fish that doesn't need too much done to it to be delicious. We also had the scallops. More problems w texture w this dish. The potatoes were interesting being somewhere between mashed and pureed. However, they were over worked because you can taste that they are no longer fluffy but more gelatinous. The scallops may have been seared crispy but with all the sauce poured on top, by the time it got to the table the dish was one note- soggy. Soft scallops, soft potatoes- nothing exciting. The wahoo steak was cooked medium rare as requested but the flavors again were confusing. It seemed like this dish was trying to hard to be fusion. It had ginger, pomegranate, soy and even a hefty dollop of wasabi. All this just didn't add up. My 6 year old ordered the Mac and cheese along with the edamame and sorbet sampler. Her Mac was $9 and tasted out of a box. She enjoyed the edamame and appreciated that the salt came on the side. The light sauce on the side was also nice. The sorbet sampler gives you an option of 2 flavors. Is that really a sampler? She liked the fresh fruit that was edible garish. Overall, lacks in texture, confusing and too much going on which complicates the dishes. read more
