We came to Maine Shack on a Saturday night late in the season, there were a few other tables occupied when we were there. As the name suggests, it's got a cute Maine lobstah shack vibe. We were welcomed by the owner coming in. We placed our order at the counter. Our food was served to our table timely. I had the NE clam chowder as a starter and it was very tasty but was luke warm at best. We both ordered the Maineshack regular rolls and really enjoyed them. A very nice portion of fresh lobster meat pieces on a nice bun, and the light mayo and drizzled warm butter help too. Really a great lobster roll and worthy of its Maine and NE heritage. I've had plenty of very good lobster rolls in NE and this is right up there. I had the onion rings side and thought they were good but not great like the chowder or lobster roll. The owner checked in on us a few times, which I appreciated. So overall we quite enjoyed our visit to Maine Shack and loved the lobster rolls. I realize that fresh lobster is going to be expensive but we did think the bill was high for a place where you order from a counter. read more

The truck was in a little village of more food trucks and a bar all near the water.
