Oh wow. Best lobster bisque I've ever had. Most load up with cream but not here. It's the right way of making it and delicious. The Miso Sea Bass was excellent. The tuna Indian style was ok. Thought it had more flavor. The tuna was very good I think I'd try one of the other preparations next time. Just a great meal. Not only wine and beer. No alcohol. Service was excellent too. I found this spot while looking for a place for dinner in the area recently. I was able to make a reservation on Resy which was great. Definitely make a reservation any time you can during the busy season in Naples! Even with what seems like thousands of restaurants in town, it's a busy area with lots of people who know the best spots. We were seated right away when we arrived. It's not a super fancy spot but I felt a little under dressed in my tank top and shorts. Also, it was freezing inside! I always forget that they tend to blast the a/c in Florida. Bring a sweater or try to sit outside. The atmosphere is trying to be nice with linens but the strip mall setting is a little weird. It's also SUPER loud in the small space. There's not much room to stand while waiting but these are all small things that don't detract from my overall rating. The menu consists of several seafood options, many with an Asian twist. They also have some "land" options like steaks. I knew I wanted one of the signature sea bass dishes, while Nate and my dad opted for two different salads. We were given complimentary bread, butter, and a "hummus plate" that had seaweed salad, a type of slaw, hummus, and pickled ginger (like you'd get with sushi). I really liked this and everything was really tasty. Our entrees came out super quickly! The presentation was really nice, especially of the sea bass. I got the spicy miso sea bass which had a delicious citrus-ginger butter sauce, black rice risotto, sautéed baby bok choy, and tempura jalapeño peppers. Oh my gosh, this was so good and super flavorful! The sauce was rich and delicious. I get now why they offer extra sauce for an extra charge. I soaked it up with a final piece of bread, yum! The black rice had the perfect texture and was a nice complement. I loved the crisp bok choy and the spicy jalapeños. The fish was also cooked perfectly with a nice texture. I had a bit of the salmon from Nate's salad, but the sea bass was definitely the winner. It was so fun seeing all the dishes come out of the kitchen. Hit the spot so hard. This place is good. Wow! I was so hungry on our date night and this place did not disappoint. I had the sea bass miso style and it was great. Can't remember exactly what my date had because I was so focused on mine. But she loved it. The ambience is intimate and relaxing. The tables on the side are cozy and have dividers like you are on a ship. I would definitely go back. Also for desert we got the coconut cream pie and the chocolate cake. Both very delicious. But USS Nemo's is one of those purely excellent consistent restaurants we've experienced four times now. How do you go wrong with Stone Crabs as the appetizer? USS Nemo was nothing short of incredible. The Ultimate Sea Bass melted in your mouth, it was like cutting butter. My partner had the pasta, it had good flavor and a good amount of seafood in it. My only knock on the food was the lobster risotto, it didn't have a ton of flavor for the upcharge. We also had the scallops as an appetizer, only two scallops which wasn't worth the price in my opinion. The service was great. Atmosphere is a little old-timey and could use some updates. Always the best experience. Sat outside this time and even though it was on the colder side, we were very comfortable with heat lamps. They are very willing to change up menu items to accommodate particular eaters which is helpful. Warm bread and a dish of hummus, seaweed salad, kimchi and ginger is the perfect start to the meal. We had mixed reactions to our meal here. We had 7:30 reservations but arrived a bit before 7. The place was jammed with folks waiting outside, so we were pleased to be able to be seated within ten minutes of arrival. Our reservations were for the patio and that was where we sat -- and thank goodness, because there was an unbelievable din inside. My wife's snarky comment -- they have a submarine theme and that appropriate because folks were packed in close to other, the light was dim, what a racket in there. Out on the patio was fine. I had the hot and crunchy grouper bowl, which came with a nice purple-cabbage cole slaw -- delicious. Nancy was less lucky: she ordered the calamari, and at her request the marinara sauce was on the side. That sauce was fine, but regrettably there was some other sauce on the squid. And it just wasn't as tender as one should expect at a seafood restaurant in a shoreside town. We ate here a few weeks ago based on yelp reviews. I hate giving sub par reviews, but our party of 6 left the restaurant kind of shaking our heads. Like what just happened? The menu is kind of all over the place, which I feel like can really cause issues when you don't know what your identity is as a kitchen. I had the cioppino (Italian seafood stew) that was very disappointing. We also had the Macadami Mahi, a spicy grouper bowl, a miso Tofu, and Tuna Foie Gras. (see what I mean about the menu being all over the place?). The only happy person was the vegetarian. The interiors look like the inside of a ship and the restaurant is located in a strip center. There are just so many other places to get expensive seafood in Naples. I hate that we spent over $500 on this meal:( Again, I feel bad to leave 2 stars, but this was a very expensive mistake. read more

Dinner was ok, the special Sizzle Dining menu was happening so goo prices for a 3 course dinner. There was complementary salad with cabbage, chickpea and carrots which was good. The ceviche was surprisingly tangy, good flavor and a solid mix of fish, really well made and nice wonton chips too. The branzino was way too over-spiced, too much sauce, it had olives, capers, a strange tangy sauce but not in a good way and a round mound of of artichoke with cheese, just a disaster. The snapper was better but also way too much sauce and too much spice, we could not finish it. The place is very small and waiters and patrons brushed up against my seat many times, felt like I was on the subway train at rush hour. It's extremely loud and the sound bounces off of the walls and ceiling. The chocolate dessert tasted great, fudgy, smooth and velvety chocolate but it was served like it was the Titanic just after it hit the iceberg, the front half broken and the ice cream fallen off and mostly mush, nee to serve that much more quickly. read more

We found the USS Nemo on Yelp and we were excited to try it. I'll be honest that our experience did not start out great. The menu prices online looked expensive, so I was expecting a more upscale experience to match those prices. Unfortunately we were met with some off putting observations such as menus and signs that were falling apart, a crowded dining room with some tacky decorations (sorry!) and plastic paper that was put over the tables so they didn't need to replace the tablecloths after each use. We were also seated RIGHT in front of the door so all night we had people leaning against the back of our booth. Not a great first start.. So, after all that I have to admit I wasn't expecting anything, but the food saved the night. It was INCREDIBLE. My mom is a tuna snob and said it was the best tuna she has ever had. I am also a bit of a salmon snob and also agreed it was one of the best ever! Our waitress was also the sweetest woman, she was very attentive and friendly. The night also seemed to get better once it went on and we adapted to our table (and also had a couple cocktails). So overall, I have mixed reviews. My dad was craving lobster for his birthday dinner. Heard a lot about USS Nemo so checked out the online menu on yelp and on the website and saw they had a grilled 1 1/2 lb lobster. Showed up for a reservation. Was checking out the menu only to see no lobster. Ask the waiter about the lobster. He said they do not offer it and the online menu is in the process of being updated. Exceptional food with exceptional service, but lacked ambiance during the six o'clock dinner hour. Child in the both next to us kept popping up screaming. Total lack of parenting. Interesting combination of flavors. Great way to start our dinner experience. For our appetizer, we shared an order of Admiral TSO Cauliflowers. A nice sweet spicy combination. My husband ordered Admiral TSO chicken. Tasty but the flavor was very similar to our appetizer. I had the Lobster & Shrimp Pappardelle pasta. Creamy and flavorful. For dessert, Nut & Pear Bread Pudding. The perfect way to finish our meal. Service and ambience complement the experience. We will definitely visit again. So many other dishes to try. To die for Octopus!!! Everything from the amuse bouche, to dessert was delicious! The food was plated with orchids as a work of art. The seafood was absolutely fresh! It is also located in a shopping plaza you would never consider it being a gourmet restaurant but voilà, it definitely is! We had a wonderful time. Also if you like sake, the best sake I've ever had, cold unfiltered lychee sake!!! Wow!! It's absolutely fantastic, i prefer it over hot sake any day and I can't find it anywhere else! There soo many times. Our fave seafood restaurant. Have been there twice in in the last 10 days with friends Rob & Dawn. They're hooked on the Commodore Cioppino. Dottie only has her Yellowtail Snapper and I'm always trying everything. They brought back the Grilled Lobster entree. So I had that. But the next time will ask not to grill the tail. I had their "signature" miso glazed sea bass and it was phenomenal. I would give it five stars except for one thing. Our server rushed us from the minute we sat down. He asked if we were ready to order before our seats were warm. We asked for a few minutes. He came back in about one. We asked for a few more, he came back in one. I had barely set my fork down when he whisked my plate away and asked if we were ready for the bill. I had to ask if they had dessert and he rattled off the options so fast I could barely understand. I'm pretty sure he took my crème brûlée away with a bite left. Here's the deal. I'm a fast eater. If I pay for a nearly $100 meal, I feel like an hour isn't too much to ask.
